Its stupidity exaggerating the effects of small sells/buys.

dont care if it goes up or down.. been buying all the way down..

since this pressure on ask side was purely manipulation .. i susspect it to go up anytime soon..       at least .. short time Smiley

145  Economy / Speculation / Re: the price is falling, the price is falling!!! on: July 01, 2013, 01:40:02 PM
the price push down today is clearly a manipulation lol..   but it's ok.. i got me bids on the good spots Smiley
146  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: July 01, 2013, 01:35:06 PM

Interesting fights !

96 wall just got eaten.

was there a wall? .. on what side?  i'm just get out of my bed..

Just 100. Went down to 0.315. Just refilled.

Voodah, 100 isn't a wall. There are any number of people here who could put that up out of petty cash.

1000 is a wall

5000 is a wallzilla wall  Smiley

the bid 100btc "wall" Smiley left the building..    not eaten.;  just left..

i'm just guessing but big numbers will probably get some higher priority..
then a  1k$ withdraw.

it would make sense .  keep big customers happy..
150  Economy / Speculation / Re: ...AND THE BOTTOM IS... on: June 30, 2013, 10:24:54 AM
NO Smiley
151  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 30, 2013, 10:09:22 AM
seems like the sunday morning dumper is not dumping anymore.

it's never to late to dump Smiley

though i hope not.. i'm full in btc lol but i'm not going to sell anyways..  even if price goes down 10$ i'm happy with what i have now.. and price will rise over 100$ again. at some point.  so i'm just buying more on the way down if it goes down more.
152  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 29, 2013, 03:49:02 PM
nobody move!!!

thanks
153  Economy / Speculation / Re: Maybe I am the last bull... on: June 28, 2013, 11:13:36 PM
I think this is it.

It's going to go up from here. You can say all you want about capitulation and the "great dollar extraction" but, deep in your heart, you know that bitcoin is the future, and bitcoins will therefore inevitably go to $1,000+ USD per bitcoin.

Those of you who are waiting for another $10 drop, or another $20 drop... go for it, but you are risking more than you realize. This is not like 2011 where everyone thought the bitcoin "experiment" was over... today everyone thinks that bitcoin "or something like it" is almost certainly going to be the future of how human civilization engages in trade and storing of value.

A few more weak hands will sell in the next week or two, sure, but Coinsetter, Kraken, CryptoStreet, and dozens of other projects we haven't even heard about are in development and will be coming out soon.

tl;dr: everyone knows bitcoin is the future, even the bears who have sold and want to buy back... don't be the person who sold at the bottom

CryptoStreet! go go go..

orderbook.
"Refreshes every 10 seconds. Includes real-time pricing from Vircurex, BitStamp, BTC-e, and MtGox."

YES! mtgox  .. volume...     arrrrrr..

cant wait

154  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 28, 2013, 06:54:26 PM

never liked btce anyways
155  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 27, 2013, 10:22:13 PM
We seem to be getting closer to 100 again - wonder if there will be another big guy right before, putting is back in the 105-110`s. Would cost a whole lot of $$ this time, with current walls

true..

but the guys putting up them coins at ask side (looks like someone is trying to  silently make ask wall bigger with the 125 asks,) might not want to sell and will have to buy back at higher price .. if some big big guy starts buying it all up..

i have no idea these days though.;

i feel bullish for some reason..   there no logic to it..   lets hope i'm right Smiley
156  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bullish news on: June 27, 2013, 10:18:39 PM
ok now .. we all know btc will go up in the long run..

so if you are a speculator.; and you know btc will go up in the long run..
they can take the profits in taxfree..     legaly.

lol it's like giving candy to a child Smiley

Bullish for sure..
157  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 27, 2013, 08:33:08 AM
Something unusual on Gox, BTC is trading within a 20c band for the last couple of hours. Normally oscillates at least $1 or more.

A compressed price range often leads to a breakout.

which side ? Smiley   thats the question

anyone starting the up or down .. is having a pretty good slippage.. no big guys needed.. just a few buys or sells of 500 could start it
158  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 26, 2013, 09:09:58 PM
I really wish transfer between BTCe and Gox was easier.

Never though I would say this, but I really wish somebody could create Pegcoin, all the advantages of instant, decentralized transfer of bitcoin, but pegged to fiat currency value.  Obviously I prefer something with a limited supply like bitcoin, but for now it would certainly make arbitraging a lot easier...  Probably not a viable idea to implement though (not to mention the legal issues).

Ripple?

I haven't really looked into Ripple decently, but isn't it a lending system?
Not really. Money is held by ripple gateways in the same way that money is held by bitcoin exchanges. So when you send Bitstamp $1000 and move it to your Ripple wallet, they "owe" you $1000 the same way they'd owe you if you kept in on Bitstamp.

Ripple is great, IMO. It has incredible potential as a payment system and is far more versatile than bitcoin in that regard. In that way, since you can move in and out of so many currencies and IOU issuers, Ripple could be very useful for arbitraging. Too early at this point, though.

I dont care if people use ripple or not..
aslong as bitcoin exchanges use it. i'm happy..

Arbitrage the shit  out of it Smiley
159  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - US-based Exchange w/ Margin Trading - OPEN BETA on: June 22, 2013, 09:02:38 PM
If there's one thing i'd be highly wish for ..

to be able to edit an order .. like moving stoploss or take profit trigers.. to other price levels..

eg:

buy long at 109  and stoploss at 108 today:    price goes up to 115 stable.. ..   but i'm feeling it will be going up for some more in the future..
then i want to adjust the stoploss to a higher price.. like 113 ..

maybe i'm not doing things right.. but it seems not adjustable for now in beta.

regards

Something like a "cancel and replace" option for orders would be handy. I'll check with the devs on this. My guess is that it's something we'll have eventually, but how soon I don't know.

or just editable fields in the current order thats active, would make more sense to me..  no need to fully replace with a new order ..
then again. i dont know how you guys. did your developments so..   i'm guessing it's not that easy as it looks to make some fields editable in active order.

good luck Wink
