141  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and cryptocurrency on: February 03, 2021, 09:09:52 AM
I am also starting to change the way I use my money, not using cash but instead looking for cryptocurrencies. But this is still limited as it is not of much support in my current life either. Maybe in the time to come when the policy of using cryptocurrency is easier, I believe we will know anti-cash.

But let's be honest, we can't just be anti-cash because we use cryptocurrency.

I know some of us really hate cash or the system behind it but we can't just remove it in this world. Bitcoin will still be Bitcoin, the most popular and most expensive cryptocurrency in this market. IN the future, the higher the price it will have, the more popular it will be and I think that would just be another method of payment in the future, more people will use it and we will not be having a hard time using it.
142  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich have too much on: February 03, 2021, 04:45:28 AM
This is not a good law.

I know that you are just talking about it so you could help those that really need it. The flaw in your proposition is that most of the poor people are not even trying to make a way so that they could be successful one day. If you will just give the poor the money of the rich people, don't you think that it is just unfair and people would just rely on that help?

Exactly, They won't even try to work anymore as they will know they will get money from someone who is working way harder than them.
Eventually, a major population will decide to follow this and at last, there will be no rich left
 or
There will be riots as Why a person who has worked hard will give his asset to someone who is not even trying to move his ass.

That is so true.

They are saying that this is unfair but this is also unfair. We can't just use inequality as a solution to inequality itself. What people needs, the poor is the chance, the opportunity for them to rise. And the problem most of the time is that there are a lot of opportunities for a lot of people but they tend to not accept or would not continue.
143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Thailand government seeks measures to tackle the problems of illegal gambling. on: February 03, 2021, 04:32:05 AM

As far as I know, it is banned there.

As long as it is not a government-supported lottery or betting on horse races, it is illegal. I don't know how addicted people are to gambling in this country but like those Chinese people, they are also into gambling. I don't know about casinos in that country, but I just hope they would just regulate it so they will not be having a problem, that also means tax for the government.
As far as I know gambling is not prohibited in thailand,  there will always be illegally operational game that are being run by some people and they are avoiding tax and due to the pandemic I think they are avoiding some health protocol as well, so given this thing aside from they should strengthen their law they need to put extra fine so that people will be afraid to make move about that, if they don't want to register it in the governement they should pay taxes, so even there will be some pandemic they can run it, maybe not physically but thru online.

I think that is also a concern.

If there will be a lot of illegal gambling happening there, that also means that there are a lot of health protocols that are not followed at that place. There will be no regulation of the protocol and could cause more casualties in this pandemic. I guess it is really best if they will just let it regulate, what's with that tax they are so afraid of than hide and be jailed?
144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Thailand government seeks measures to tackle the problems of illegal gambling. on: January 31, 2021, 11:00:00 AM
What do you think ?
Should they make reforms before shutting down the whole thing ? I think this could benefit people and the government as a whole.

First of all let me know if gambling is legal in thailand ? If it is not legal then no one can run casino officially however people can still play online.
If the gambling is allowed in thailand, then government should give certain timeline to all the casino owner to register their casino. Failure to do so could result in legal action against them.

As far as I know, it is banned there.

When greed comes in to anyone and they have your authorization, you don't know what they can do just for the sake of money.

I mean, why would they need authorization?

We are talking about a huge amount of money and the winner doesn't need to hide his/her identity because they are anonymous to start with. All they have is the winning ticket and unless he/she posted that on his social media account or shouted in their whole neighborhood that he/she won that huge amount, they will never know that he/she won.
It's for the public sake but it's not me that you should be asking but the other guy that tells about getting a representative to take your winnings.
Because I believe that you shouldn't allow any representative or decide like that to take your huge amount of winning.

I don't know about your country but our country is different.

You could get your winnings as long as you present the winning ticket. The winner is not actually announced but as far as I know they tell them the region or the town they belong to but not the actual address of the winner. I mean, they can still do that representative thing as long as they have the winning ticket, right?
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT TYPE OF CRYPTO INVESTOR ARE YOU? on: January 31, 2021, 09:41:50 AM
I'm a mix of the first three.

I am a newbie and a crypto enthusiast at the same time. I just joined not that recently but my portfolio is still not as diverse as the others. I have some cryptocurrencies that I hold but not that much because I see this as a second source of income but in the long run, if I save enough, this might be the reason why I will be a millionaire.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gamers can earn money ????? on: January 31, 2021, 07:32:28 AM
This is kind of unfair to some players especially those that are starters or beginners.

Streamers could earn additional KHM, the same with players that are good on tournaments. How about casual players? They would just earn not that much. I prefer a game like Axie Infinity and there are a lot of players with a great community. All I am saying is that this game needs a good community and fair rewards for everybody.
148  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to take BITCOIN profit without selling? on: January 31, 2021, 07:22:16 AM
How can you take that profit if you won't sell it?

So technically, selling it gives you the profit. If you want don't want to sell, you can trade it to other altcoins but that also means selling your bitcoins to get altcoins. There are a lot of cryptocurrencies in the market you should just be wary of the movements. If you don't want to you can just hold your bitcoin atleast you can see your profits by looking at the current price.
149  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wait for the dump on: January 31, 2021, 04:57:57 AM
Much more dump done from 40k to 30 k now its time to pump. We will see 50 k soon in coinmarketcap.
Traders who bought in price of 30k will get very high profit.  Crash like 2017 will not be happened. Many new trader with big trading amount are willing to add fund to btc and this will pump btc

They are just some of the people that invested.

The time they've invested, the price is at $30K, yeah it is a great profit but it is not that huge. Just imagine the profit of those that invested while the price is falling at the $4K and $5K price mark. They had a huge profit when the price rose to $40K, just imagine if the price rose to $50K, or $60K, that would be bigger, that is why keep on holding.

151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling advertising monitored closely on: January 31, 2021, 04:01:53 AM
This aside we do have a bigger problem here to address.
1. Why did the company use this kind of advertising in the first way ?
2. What should we do to ensure that kids under 18 doesn't start to gamble? We cannot ask them for identity cards and then expect them to show.

Maybe it wasn't their intention to aim at children but show gambling as something innocent.

Who really plays with stuffed animals? Do 17 year olds do it? Do 16 year olds to it? Usually these toys are for children not neenager and children rarely have their own money.
It they wanted to promote among teenagers there were better way s than stuffed animals.

For you it's "children under 18" but in many countries 16 year olds are allowed to marry and start their own families. They also can drive cars. Is a 16 year old really a child?

Based on the article, they are not actually aiming for these children.

The problem here is that there are a lot of children that lie or put an age that is suitable for these kinds of advertisements. They are putting 19 years old even though they are 13 or even younger. Another thing is that we can't just say that these young children don't have their own money especially those that use their parents' credit card.
152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been to a place where people gamble on Car Race on: January 30, 2021, 01:00:24 PM
I think in a different kind of race.

I knew someone in college that have access to underground drag racing in our place in the past and there are a lot of people there who bet on those motorcycles, sometimes cars. I don't think this is somewhat related to what you are saying but in my opinion, it is somewhat close to that. It is noisy and to be honest, I don't know what is happening mid-way the race.

This one, some 10+ years ago, I was part of this group of young men who usually drag race. It was really adrenaline rush and we put money on the line. But the thing is, it is illegal in our place so we need to be careful and not alert the cops.

One time though the cops shows unexpectedly and everyone ran, no one was caught but we still continue. Now I've heard that the car race is still going on, however, the police is only on the look out because it's no longer secret. The place that we use to race was frequented by cops specially at mid night.

So glad that there is someone that experienced that too

It is not illegal in here too but the problem is that a lot of complaints are being received that is why we look at it as illegal and we usually hide whenever an official or police check those places. We usually do these at this old airport so we the managers of these events don't have a problem with traffic or such. In other airports, we find roads that are not finished but also far enough to be a track sometimes free roads or a parking lot.
153  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wait for the dump on: January 30, 2021, 12:54:43 PM
That happens.

Obviously, doesn't mean it continuously climb its way to $40K, doesn't mean it will be easily reaching price marks such as $50K and $60K that easily. We are expecting the price correction and it did happen. You don't need to say it like that because there might be those weak hands that might sell immediately. Just look at it as a last chance for those people who wanted to reinvest or invest.
154  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic on: January 30, 2021, 11:59:14 AM
It is funny how people would react at that last line, especially those that would immediately sell their holdings once the price drops.

There are a lot of price drops or dumps that happened in the past but the price still reached where we are right now. The fact that there are still a lot of people still panicking when this happens means that there are still a lot of people not used to the movement of Bitcoin or the market. Maybe they are the new ones that just invested or rode the wave.
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk adds #Bitcoin to his Twitter bio on: January 30, 2021, 11:51:53 AM
I still think this is just a coincidence.

I am happy that someone that as popular as Elon Musk supports Bitcoin and how influential he is not just in the public but in the market. Despite all of that though, I think it is not right that we will be letting him control the market and just make a spike that. I am not saying that the spike happened because of him, it is just kind of troubling that someone could dictate a spike or not.
156  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is up $4500 in 30 munites? on: January 30, 2021, 11:21:30 AM
I don't know if Elon Musk really started this increase.

The price is not at $33K but it reached up to $36K which I thought would straight fall under the $20K price mark. Maybe this is just an increase since we all know how the market move right now but one of the reasons right now is the tweet or hashtag of Elon Musk talked in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5313053
157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Thailand government seeks measures to tackle the problems of illegal gambling. on: January 30, 2021, 11:14:54 AM
There are other things that the government in Thailand should be concerned about right now. There will first have to be tourists who bring money before gambling can be resumed in its way.
I also don't think that the Thai police will take any harsh action against this, you would only cause fear to tourists. Bad for the name.

Why would they have a problem with tourists?

In terms of this topic, the government of Thailand is having a problem with underground gambling, I don't think tourists that came to Thailand would be a problem since most of these tourists would obviously bet on casinos and not in these illegal places. That won't fear tourists because, at the first place, it is not the reason why these tourists came to that country.

159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People die from heart attack when they hit the jackpot. on: January 30, 2021, 06:21:21 AM
It seems strange for me to participate in lotteries. The chance of winning is minimal, in fact it is not real. There is not even a sense of excitement. I read an article that almost everyone who wins a lottery loses that money because they don't know money management.

It might not be exciting but for some people it is.

Usually, my uncles and aunties would bet on a number and would be taking care of that number for a period of time. When they are getting close, they are getting excited as they think that they will win but they won't. Still, I don't know what is the reason why they are still getting excited with such games as you've said, there is no excitement and a lower chance of winning.
160  Economy / Economics / Re: Why criminals prefer cash (Fiat) on top of crypto? on: January 30, 2021, 05:54:27 AM
One of the great features of cash is that it cannot be traced. It can facilitate transactions anytime and anywhere, and the official cannot review the flow of funds, so that the safety of funds can be guaranteed to the maximum extent, and it will naturally be loved by criminals.

That is true.

Other people think that Bitcoin will prefer cryptocurrencies because they thought that they can take advantage of the anonymity that it offers. They don't know that even there are a lot of scammers and hackers taking advantage of the anonymity of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, there are a lot of criminals taking advantage of the cash' untraceable and untrackable trait.
