141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HOW TO SET UP OVERCLOCKING AND FAN CONTROL ON UBUNTU 16.04 FOR NVIDIA CARDS on: December 26, 2016, 05:57:51 AM
Thanks for this guide!

No problems, mate Smiley

It sorts out a lot of problems people have been having getting the max GPU performance on Linux installations and enabling all the GPUs overclocking and fan controls.

Thank you, nice guide Wink

ps: Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas as well

have a happy Christmas mate ...

when i get back into it all in the next couple of days - ill see what ( if any ) of this guide works with redhat based systems ...

once again - no one has any guide or intention on releasing anything for rhel based systems ( like feora ) even though it is onf of the highest rated and used system on the planet ...

rhel itself is used in the majority of the corporate systems backend - and no one has tapped into that market to supply to those people and systems as well ... except cwi of course Wink ...

tanx and njoi the time of this joyous occasion ...

142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: December 26, 2016, 02:42:51 AM
Good thing Dash is not a Proof of Stake coin and never will be one, which makes any comparison to Proof of Stake coins wearthless.

Dash is and will always be a Proof of Work coin .. sure at some point after Dash Evolution the Proof of Work will be upgraded to Proof of Work 2.0
but there will always be an incentive for both miners and masternodes to operate in Dash.

I even think in a few years Dash will have the strongest PoW network on the planet, by-passing both Bitcoin and Ethereum's number of active full nodes
and making scalability much less a problem for Dash in the future.

The growth of active masternodes (full nodes) will also excellerate exponentially once Dash Evolution is out, with its decentralized masternode shares program.
Never underestimate the power of having blockchain identifyable saving accounts available, in a time of decreasing global banking interest rates (with my bank its currently at 0.9%).

Also never underestimate the economics at play in Dash and its Masternode Network : a lower number of active masternodes will increase the masternode rewards, which will attract new
masternode buyers.

For those interested in some masternode reward statistics : https://dash-news.de/dashtv/#value=1000

For those interested in the masternode summary by country : http://178.254.23.111/~pub/Dash/masternode_locations_stats.html

Morning, qwizzie. It's fine to see that DASH's community -- as suggested by Masternode distribution -- is not one-country-centric; that there are so many nodes in Europe, which shuurrrrrlleee gotta see an increase in adoption as the Eurozone crumbles . . . and

. . . and lil ol' Australia has 57 Masternodes! Niiiiice.

australia itself has more much than that ...

its just that a lot of the nodes and systems are based offshore in datacenters all over the world ...

so they dont 'look' like they are here - but are definitely australian owned Wink ...

143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Steak Cloud - Proof Of Stake Mining Pool Concept on: December 26, 2016, 12:54:27 AM
hi can anyone tell me if steakcloud still paying? thanks

They have only one miner left, mining with a low speed, meaning they are failed to give better service to their miners.. I think this miner left is you.. lol!! better find good one I already tried this one >>> http://wepaybtc.com/

Not at all, Steak Cloud went down for a code overall, All payouts are still pending payout and will be paid. Let it be known that Steak Cloud provides an unmatched service from profitability to support... Ask anyone that's used the platform, they will tell you the same thing.

i have used the platform ...

and continue to use it momentarily for different coins ...

its a good platform - that unfortunately is suffering the same dilemma as most pools in this situation - lack of miners ...

its ok though ... depending on what happens soon - resurrection may be at hand ...

this is all dependent on the flexibility and open mindedness of the pool owners ...

2017 has many plans - some of which will be released in the same year by us ( cwi ) - and will hope to see steakcloud being one of those businesses that is more flexible - than not ...

we are always interested in platforms like this - and always interested in growing with such platforms ...

lets see how all this pans out ...

hope everyone has had a happy Christmas ...

the new year is a good one coming ...

144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MonetaryUnit [MUE] Quark based, CPU mining, faucet, explorer, pool, wallet on: December 26, 2016, 12:46:31 AM
That volume... Looks like MUE is getting pummeled by fists of ur ignorance. Apparently quark based alts aint in demand anymore.
Ignorance like you not seeing that we are migrating to X11 with MasterNodes in the first few lines of the ANN Wink

As long as we stay on trex for now then I'm fine with both the price and volume, because those will both come very soon.

In case u get kicked outta trex, ure not fine then and will worry hard till u get tingling in ur head. I conclude the volume thats seen on trex right now is the metric of ur appreciation toward fundamental side. Masternodes? What year is it? I thought its 2016 though u probably live in 2014.

if a coin does something that works well like x11 + masternodes + governance and has been proven, why not use it and improve it?  are you aware of all the bitcoin code in all the altcoins?  it's there because it works.

we will be using masternodes for governance + in house forex + a gaming platform + a poloniex lending bot.  and more to come.

and what exactly makes you think MUE will get kicked out of trex?  they know what we've been working on.

go stick a quark in your ass  Cheesy

Bro... Masternodes generate a decent income to pay ur governess for taking care of ur shit. Having her around ur place makes ur family confident u wont smear bedwalls with ur shit but instead deliver that waste in a shitpan. I wanna see a bot. When will it come out? In 2021?

are you trolling, or are you really that ignorant?  here's is the poloniex lending bot :  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1684269

to use the full version, you have to have a 100,000 mue deposit on bittrex.

windows only? ...

where is the source so that a linux / osx compile can be made?

145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MonetaryUnit [MUE] Quark based, CPU mining, faucet, explorer, pool, wallet on: December 24, 2016, 01:24:32 PM
hi all ...

we have setup an mue pool and need testers ...

not just for the pool - but also for the new custom stratum that was build specifically to handle ALL the pools in our system ...

its unique and very well built by the maestro in stratum and backend builds - and one of the best devs in his field in my humble opinion ...

the pool main address is - http://pool.chainworksindustries.com/ ... you will find mue in the list ... or go directly to the pool - http://pool.chainworksindustries.com/mue/ ...

the daemon is currently syncing - so no mining can be done until that finishes in the next hour or so ...

this is the only pool that we are testing the sso ( single sign on ) setup ... the sso is based on the setup for the granite pool - but once you setup here on the mue pool ( within the coming week ) all the pools will have your single setup ... this is why we need to test the pool before we pull any of these pools out of 'alpha' designation ... when out of 'alpha' and into 'beta' then full 'production' designations - the colours of the pools will change accordingly ...

currently - we are only using and setting one port ( 8300 ) for the mining to take place ... this new stratum starts low and quickly adapts to the hashrates that the miners push into it ... hence the reason only one port is used and not two or three for hidiff or lodiff stratums ... though it can be setup quite easily if the need does arise ...

so to mine when it finishes syncing - please register ( it is an mpos pool ) - setup your 'workers' in the pool - place your miners parameters - and fire away ...

any help will be appreciated with debugging through this quark mining period - as when the change to x11 comes through - we will have a full solid pool to mine from the start ...

as always if there are any issues - PLEASE let us know ... contact via direct pm | irc - #chainworksindustries | or skype - chrysophylax69 ...

tanx ...

#crysx
Hey crysx, thanks for this, all the best for your project.
I don't have much time to debug, but would it be any benefit if I re-direct my hash to the pool for a while?
Let me know
Cheers, B

hi mate ...

the stratum is a custom stratum for ChainWorks Industries ( CWI ) and was built to be able to cater for ALL hashrates ... though that is very difficult to test - as we dont have the full range from small to very big ...

so ANY testing / mining would be beneficial for the testing ...

the frontend is the same mpos system that has been around for a while on many many pools - but the stratum is the things that has changed ...

just setup an account - make sure you get the validation email - and hammer the pool with all you have once its all setup with the miners ...

if anything goes wrong - and you will see it very early on - you will know ...

NONE of pools have fees more than 0.7% also ... that wont change in future either ...

this is because these pools were initially built for internal use ... and will still be used by thefarm ( the cwi gpu farm - about to grow threefold AND integrate asic miners in 2017 ) ... but decided that 0.7% is a valuable option for most miners who mine at much higher rated pools ...

when the stratum proves its metal - and the pools do what they are supposed to do - then we will put them into full production and names / colours will change to the level of designation they are ( alpha - beta - production ) ...

so this long winded response simply means - yes please Wink ... redirect all you have at it and hammer away ...

im off to bed - and a few days off for Christmas ...

so happy Christmas and may the transition to x11 go smooth as it should ...

happy holidays as well! Smiley

i dont understand, i have been watching this thread forever waiting... whats going on?

is this some kind of cred thread? your just trying to get cred or something? :/

i guess as they say:  "shit or get off the pot!"   Cheesy

not in the slightest ...

all will be revealed when the time is available ... which should be next year ( in a week Tongue ) ...

cred! ... hahaha ... like i give a damn about cred ...

those who KNOW me - know theteam ive put together - and know that there is nothing i say that is fluff or crap ...

i just havent had the time to update - and that will change in 2017 ...

there is a reason why the first three posts after the op are reserved ... and we will be utilizing each and every post to inform all of what is happening ...

as they say - all good things take time ... and what we are building has taken me ( and recently theteam ) in total of almost 3years to build ... granite is only one part ...

see you all in the new year ...

i need sleep and the next few days off for family ...

Hey crysx,

you are right...to become a big decentralize database, its of course important to add many nodes as possible.

I think, the most important part actually, is, to spread the word about B3. What do u think? You have opportunities there?
With incoming userbase, we all together can of course work on solutions to manage this huge community.

At the moment, the most important part is, to bring in new ppl in B3.

One of the best way to do that is to map businesses and ppl around the world and connect each other. E.g.: localcrypto.eu.org

Marketing marketing marketing.

and Merry Christmas...

steve ...

i still retain the respect i have for you and all you have done ( europecoin and all that comes with it - if i remeber correctly ) - and you seem to be the one with a level head here ...

but i have seen all this before - and unfortunately - many times over by the SAME people ...

cwi ( and theteam included ) NOT a business that is to be toyed with nor made to work then dumped at the last minute ...

we are growing in ways that even christian and greedyjohn in all their wisdom - cannot fathom ...

our support is finished with b3 ... but not with josh ...

even though he is a student ( mathematics masters ) - he has not done ONE wrong turn against us - and informed us of all that had been happening ...

communication ... thats the key ...

when josh becomes an accomplished developer like christian - we will be happy to work with him and our infrastructure - as well as the tools and platform we are building - will be available to him also ...

this coin will not fail - is what greedyjohn wrote earlier ... ANY business fails IF they decide that they are better than the collective ...

im off for the night ( in australia here ) - and so will wish you a happy Christmas also ...

ill come back in a few days refreshed and ready to work once again ...

there is much to be done - and a TEAM i need to be a part of ...

I'm staking since the new client is on but I only see 2 connections, minted about 25blocks now, are there only 2 more guys staking ?

2 connections are better than 0. Of course, the new code is very young...spread the word about B3. Begin to promote it to friends, users, known ppl...

But I am sure, if the ppl registered, that Chris cleaned up the code, they will see, that their buys are in safe haven.

Crysx,

limxdev is a very high skilled dev with a big reputation in the cryptoworld. He coded ERC and BSD with own developments and is involved in a lot of coins.

You should understand how a dev works: Someone gives him tasks and the dev made it for you! Nothing special and no Team Player needed from his side.

wrong ...

when OUR infrastructure ( becoming one of the largest in crypto ) is requested and a DEAL is made with prerequisites being agreed upon AND arranged - team work IS the key to a successful development ...

this is NOT directed at limxdev in particular- it is directed at the flimsy methodology that has been NON-FUNCTIONING in the crypto scene for a very long time ...

so steve - i know who you are also ... and like limxdev - are a very respected member of the community with your involvement in many coins also ...

but you NEED to stand corrected when YOU have no idea of the meetings and deals that were made in the background ...

the infrastructure ( seednodes are part of which ) that i have personally been building and spending money and btc on for the last THREE YEARS is involved - and the deal is cut - then TEAMWORK is the ONLY thing that matters - not just developments ... of which ive experienced first hand with soopy greedyjohn and droidz ( drz ) ... where is that coin now? ... where is orangecoin? where is cyphercoin? ... want me to continue with the coins that have had the communities HANGING there because of the lack of TEAM workmanship? as well as interest from the devs side and greed also from the same? ...

lets look at dash? ethereum? decred? zec? ... teamwork much? ...

im not saying that those project are good or not or have anything else to bring to the table - except that TEAMWORK is what paves their way to project success ...

so with all due respect mate - comment not on things you know very little about ... in this case - the background dealings i have had with the devs and the investors of the coin ...

the failure here will be the same as everywhere else - lack of communication AND participation AND interest ... it wont be long that my words are realized - unless a damned good change happens here in a very big way ...

Hello,

the version B3 Coin V2 has two hardcoded seednodes and we can easy add more. This hardnodes are two big server from me. 120 GB Backbone ^^ It is not needed to add addnodes in the conf file. All my clients have more as 6 connection.

I think this update is the first step for a longterm project. I think teamwork is very important and every b3 member can work on the project B3.

Best Regards Christian and Merry Christmas @all
Yes, more seednodes can be added, while we wait for YOBIT to update their wallets.

well ...

hasnt christian and his testosterone driven prowess nullified this statement greedyjohn? ...

seeing that the seednodes and ALL the work that was put in on our side to to 'help' at our expense of course - been pushed aside - i think it says all ithas to about the man behind this coin AND the level of success it will reach ...

you know me greedyjohn - and you know i dont speak up unless i speak the TRUTH and that truth is a negative to my integrity ...

there will be no help from us - and any coins you have donated ( which have never come from the community anyway - which also states the condition of the health of the coin as well ) will be fully returned to you if you so wish ...

i WILL take a few days off now - and work on a number of projects that WILL be worth working on ...

pity you ( limxdev - christian ) have chosen to play big bad man ... remember - its not always the talent that gets you ahead - but that which is what the people want ...

watch us mate - and watch what we become in the next 12months ... because that is all you will be able to do now ...

i put this down here in txt for the world to see - so that i personally will be accountable - and proof - of my words ...

151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BBR] Boolberry: Privacy and Security - Guaranteed[Bittrex/Poloniex]GPU Released on: December 24, 2016, 08:28:43 AM
cross posting here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1611499.msg17260070#msg17260070

Boolberry Network Address December 21, 2016

Seed nodes

We have been implementing a solution to make it easier for Boolberry users to connect to other Boolberry users, to sync with the blockchain better.

The solution in Monero is pretty distributed and we are copying that model. Monero has several domain names registered, those domain names have subdomains, and those subdomains have A names which contain the IP addresses of several seed nodes. This leverages the DNS propagation system to have this data in a distributed manner, all to sync up with the distributed blockchain. It uses hardcoded seed nodes as a backup in case none of those are connectable.

Boolberry has two hardcoded seed nodes, and both of them are down sometimes, making it cumbersome if not seemingly impossible to use.

The Monero client pulls the DNS stored seed nodes, appends the monero port number to the IP addresses and grabs blockchain hosting peers this way.

In our efforts, I and Javajared have added subdomains to our own websites and this will be added to the Boolberry code. The seed nodes we are currently using are Boolberry pools that have decent uptime.

You can look at the A names on this website http://viewdns.info for the following domain names

http://xbr.seeds.blockology.org

http://boolberryseed.javajared.com

If you would like a website you own/control to be a part of the seed node redundancy, contact me on how to set it up! And feel free to make pull requests in the future. Also, host a seed node in a datacenter Smiley

Graphics and Marketing

There are several people independently working on updated graphics for boolberry, outside of the Blockchain Development Company. We all have the same vision in mind and have been in contact, this can make the GUI look very polished and unique. Coinopoly has been spearheading collaboration on this front.

The old Boolberry GUI, as well as the new Monero GUI both use the QT framework, so we have a lot of source material to leverage for the graphical updates.

No ETAs just yet on these features or the other big ticket items, thank you for the patience so far and stay tuned for the next bi-weekly!

we use our infrastructure for such use cases - for projects we support - and who support us ...

its a ONE OFF situation with coins for the seednodes ( ie - coins donated FOR the seednodes and to continue the chain moving even if NO ONE else is AND the project never has to pay another cent for our infrastructure again ) - and they are as permanent as we are ...

if you are interested in discussions - please contact ...

have a happy Christmas all ...

hi all ...

we have setup a bern pool and need testers ...

not just for the pool - but also for the new custom stratum that was build specifically to handle ALL the pools in our system ...

its unique and very well built by the maestro in stratum and backend builds - and one of the best devs in his field in my humble opinion ...

the pool main address is - http://pool.chainworksindustries.com/ ... you will find bern in the list ... or go directly to the pool - http://pool.chainworksindustries.com/bern/ ...

we will be setting this pool up for sso ( single sign on ) in the next week - so a single login only will be required when finished ... the sso is based on the setup for the granite pool so if you setup an account on granite pool it will be shared to all the pools in the coming week or two - and once you setup the bern pool will have the same credentials across all the pools ... this is why we need to test the pool before we pull any of these pools out of 'alpha' designation ... when out of 'alpha' and into 'beta' then full 'production' designations - the colours of the pools will change accordingly ...

currently - we are only using and setting one port ( 8100 ) for the mining to take place ... this new stratum starts low and quickly adapts to the hashrates that the miners push into it ... hence the reason only one port is used and not two or three for hidiff or lodiff stratums ... though it can be setup quite easily if the need does arise ...

so to mine - please register ( it is an mpos pool so registration is required - but we havenot made it too stringent ) - setup your 'workers' in the pool - place your miners parameters - and fire away ...

any help will be appreciated with debugging through this hi reward mining period ...

as always if there are any issues - PLEASE let us know ... contact via direct pm | irc - #chainworksindustries | or skype - chrysophylax69 ...

tanx ... and have a happy Christmas ...

Greetz
Steve

wrong ...

when OUR infrastructure ( becoming one of the largest in crypto ) is requested and a DEAL is made with prerequisites being agreed upon AND arranged - team work IS the key to a successful development ...

this is NOT directed at limxdev in particular- it is directed at the flimsy methodology that has been NON-FUNCTIONING in the crypto scene for a very long time ...

so steve - i know who you are also ... and like limxdev - are a very respected member of the community with your involvement in many coins also ...

but you NEED to stand corrected when YOU have no idea of the meetings and deals that were made in the background ...

the infrastructure ( seednodes are part of which ) that i have personally been building and spending money and btc on for the last THREE YEARS is involved - and the deal is cut - then TEAMWORK is the ONLY thing that matters - not just developments ... of which ive experienced first hand with soopy greedyjohn and droidz ( drz ) ... where is that coin now? ... where is orangecoin? where is cyphercoin? ... want me to continue with the coins that have had the communities HANGING there because of the lack of TEAM workmanship? as well as interest from the devs side and greed also from the same? ...

lets look at dash? ethereum? decred? zec? ... teamwork much? ...

im not saying that those project are good or not or have anything else to bring to the table - except that TEAMWORK is what paves their way to project success ...

so with all due respect mate - comment not on things you know very little about ... in this case - the background dealings i have had with the devs and the investors of the coin ...

the failure here will be the same as everywhere else - lack of communication AND participation AND interest ... it wont be long that my words are realized - unless a damned good change happens here in a very big way ...

have a happy Christmas mate ... nice tree btw Wink ...

found you ...

im going to readup on the thread when i have a little time ...

#crysx

Welcome to Teslacoin!

tanx mate ...

im trying to readup as much as i can on tes ...

though im a little discouraged that its PoS only ...

but great idea ...

telsa himself was a genius - and creative ... crazy also - but most are on that level of genius ...

#crysx

You dont like POS coins? I look for them because its a mining game I can get with not having any miners of my own and all.

its not i dont 'like' pos coins at all ...

i am miner first and foremost - so pos is a bit of 'downer' for me ...

but all good in the fight for pow and pow and all thats in between ...

We are alive.

Cypher7A69

Hey buddy!
We want to offer you 1 BTC for the accesses to this thread and twitter account.
We have a well known and old bitcointalk user that is OK to act as our escrow for this transaction.
Cheers!

wow ...

a newbie? ... who are you ( guys ) setting up this profile now? ...

or are you still the same dev? ...

#crysx

 Shocked Shocked
cypher still alive?

so they say ...

but its more than likely the same scheme the dev tried a while back to fill his btc wallet again ...

there ARE some 'real' devs out there that wont rip off the community - and we considered taking over a while back - but its all about what can be taken OUT of the system rather than what can be put in - so we decided out of it ... too many uncouth people controlling the thread and system behind cypher ...

would be nice to see it in the hands of a good team - but i highly doubt that will happen ...
