Well what if I spend hours 'running around' and gathering all the bitcoins I could find, gamble with it and lose everything I've worked for?

 Sad

Are you allowed to withdraw your earnings without gambling with it? Grin

When all the 21M coins have been mined. Miners will make their money from transaction fees, so they still need those mining machines anyhow.

For some reason, even though I'm posting a lot, my activity is NEVER changing. It's standing at 42 for a couple of days now ignoring my constant posting. Why is this?

It will take 14 days for all your posts to reflect in your activity.

149  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-05-03]IBM offers blockchain services on cloud on: May 03, 2016, 04:02:02 PM
This is one move that will fast-track the global adoption of bitcoins...

That means altcoins will do something similar soon, just to keep up with the pace.
150  Economy / Speculation / Re: Theoretical scenario : Will loyal bitcoin keepers be the death of bitcoin? on: May 02, 2016, 08:17:16 PM
Well, I am a newbie. But people need money and bitcoin is money. They will have to release some amount of bitcoins from time to time to pay for something. Since they are not Bill Gates, they can't keep money stashed forever.
151  Economy / Speculation / Re: if bittrex,yobit,poloniex,c-cex,etc scam? on: May 02, 2016, 03:26:40 PM
price bitcoin up or down?

Price seems to be down for now. And when the halving starts, price will go down even further. Not an ideal time to sell coins.
152  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin Tax Logistics on: May 02, 2016, 02:08:11 PM
Interesting. Does this apply when you sell bitcoins on localbitcoins.com and you withdraw your funds to a foreign bank account [euro currency]?

I am also from Africa and the demand for bitcoins is very low since no one uses it within the country. Whoever buys bitcoins does so for foreign transactions.
157  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: April 24, 2016, 08:54:02 PM
If you do not sell your bitcoins, what do you do when you need cash?

The world has not fully accepted bitcoins yet, so there are situations when your btc is basically just idle/irrelevant.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do we stop the division in the Bitcoin community? on: April 24, 2016, 08:26:16 PM
This division might actually be good for bitcoins, it keeps developers on their toes to keep improving on past achievements.
159  Other / Off-topic / Re: I'm in love! on: April 24, 2016, 08:13:10 PM
Love comes sometimes when we do not expect it, if we ignore it, it goes away and we regret our decision later on. For me, I met someone who would have loved me, but didn't realize it until he was gone. Now I regret my ignorance, keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for God to send someone again Roll Eyes
160  Economy / Economics / Re: 21 New Numbers That Show That The Global Economy Is Absolutely Imploding on: April 24, 2016, 08:05:38 PM

Probably?
Well no, maybe the population is growing, but not the Earth. The resources are not growing infinitely! And the main principle of infinite growth would need the population to grow of 3 or 5 % every year? And the resources used too? Do you see how it's impossible now?
[/quote]

The resources on Earth are sufficient to support 21 billion people, what we have is that funds are not circulating effectively. Soon enough people will be hammering for a one world currency and that is where btc comes in.

This all looks like a planned work from the start to me Huh
