If the guy's that are pumping and dumping stops that only means price is to low to mine it. But as for myself still hold more than 180,000 shift waiting for the price to get back up past 10,000 again. And I stoped mining shit a few days ago Due to issues with Windows 10 and my AMD r390x's crashing every 30 second's
No problems with other coins? I asked some questions a couple days ago in this post and would like to know if your problems are specific to shift. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1155284.msg14898274#msg14898274-Mike

Greets! Please explain or point somewhere describes about finding block process.
Have you a masternode on net? When I use only discovered nodes I cannot mine any block for hours. Opened TCP ports are 53900, 53901. Any discovery ports in your net?
Why is Shift node crashes when I find a block (2-3 times a working day)?
What is IP 13.79.154.168 constantly scanning my PC ports? If I block it - no shares accepted.
What is Torsock node with IP xx.xx.xx.0?
Close port 53901 (RPC) to the external network. (See the following post ... read the whole thing please) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1155284.msg14878725#msg14878725I've noticed scans to other ports from the same IP#. Opening ports and running any crypto deamons will make your network more interesting... Torsock appears to be a gshift node connected to the net via TOR. The ethereum wiki has a good description of mining that applies to SHIFT too, with the exception of differing block rewards and block time. https://github.com/ethereum/wiki/wiki/Mining#introduction

at what point was the reward for a block in the 2 coin has the same fixation on the 3 coins now 2 where the announcement that the award has decreased? I asked this question to the PM but I did not answer directly. I would like to hear the answer! Maybe you are thinking about Uther? The block reward has been 2 since the change to 2.5.0. which criteria you have in pool ? I had more than 500 acepts and only pay pool only 26 blocks ? gostaris the source code pool is possible ? MINING soil and inefficient takes too long to find blocks and the pool think it quite put the block is not fair payment would not 2 coin per block ? http://prntscr.com/b6277jWhich pool are you mining on? 500 accepted shares? Shares are at lower difficulty than a block, and used to calculate your share of the next reward block. From the image you linked, it looks like 26 of your 500 shares where high enough to find a block. I guess your 500 shares number came from your mining software, the pool pages don't show a raw share total and it's possible the the shares accepted (valid, on time) by the pool is less... If you managed to find 26 blocks mining solo, your reward would have been about 52 Shift. Of course mining solo need a bit more work and resources than mining with a pool. Have been mining Shift for about four months now until the last few days. My rig keeps crashing now keep getting "thread stuck in device driver" running windows 10 I have tried everything I could think of to fix it with no luck so I uninstalled windows and reinstalled it and it worked fine for about 6 hrs and now i'm back to it crashing every 20 sec as soon as I start mining running 4 R 390x's for card's . Any help would be nice
Does it happen if you mine something else also? Your mining to a pool I suppose. How about with 3, 2 or one card mining? I don't know much about running GPU miners on windows myself but can suggest some things to check. Also, you could check the thread or forum concerning the mining software you are using. Since the problem has started recently, I would think about what changes there have been in the past few days - software update? driver update - change in GPU clock speed? Memory speed? - Temperature change ? (affects power supplies and cooling) - Possibly a power supply is starting to malfunction? - Loose power connector - also, see what kind of system information you can find while mining and not... (eg, fan speeds, voltages) Could someone suggest good tools do do this for windows? - Mike

İs it possible to mine this coin with 750ti's.
Yes, use Genoil's miner. http://pool.shiftnrg.org/#/helpEDIT: I'm using Linux, so I'm not sure about Windows. Have had no problems so far, even with Ethereum's DAG, though it's been a few weeks since I last tried Ethereum. The size of Shift's DAG should not be an issue for a while.

Would be nice, let's see! :-)

We are about 40% updated.. Lets keep it going.. First couple masternode payments from updated masternodes after about 33 hours uptime. (Different masternodes)
|
|
|
I think you have a problem with your try running darknet-cli masternode outputs and check that the single digit at the end corresponds with the transaction id. (longer number).
|
|
|
Is there way to check how many nodes switched to version 1.1.0?
If it corresponds to the protocol version shown in masternode list, I suppose it is. $ darknet-cli masternodelist full |grep 70106 |wc -l 857 $ darknet-cli masternodelist full |grep 70107 |wc -l 48 If the masternode's uptime affects one's payments. I suppose the most profitable strategy for one still running the older version is to wait until one gets the last expected higher reward from their masternode before upgrading. So waiting for a payout of 50 within about ~850 blocks from the change to smaller rewards. Not a big difference.

price is not going up. any updates from dev.
Patience. Consider the current price to be a good buying opportunity.

... So, you see, there is always *much going on behind the scenes, even though it may not be posted here on a daily basis (and even when I have the flu! ) Any plans for updating changes from go-ethereum to the go-krypton fork? https://bitbucket.org/gkrypto/go-krypton/commits/all

darknet-cli masternodelist full |grep ENABLED|wc -l 792 Masternode cashout? Was almost 900 recently. (2 days ago maybe)

How long has Maxminers pool been down i keep getting 502 Bad Gateway
use supernova, has more hashrate you wil earn more on average, but i would buy instead with the current price, very cheap All ready have over 100,000 Shift So i'm just mining and waiting for the price to go back up. Had one rig on maxminers pool and one rig on supernova pool not sure way but my hash rate shows up about 20MH lower on supernova then it does on maxminers pool Surprised you aren't solo mining. Then again, Your hashing power would be welcome at the official pool when it becomes available.

Down Suprnova! The daemon crashed and I cannot get it synched back to the network currently.. i'm on it.. If there's anything we can help, let us know! Thanks, it's up again. Something like this when it crashed? goroutine 51 [running]: panic(0xe881a0, 0xc82000e0e0) /opt/golang/1.6.1/src/runtime/panic.go:464 +0x3e6 math/big.(*Int).Cmp(0xc823652800, 0x0, 0xc8200a62b0) /opt/golang/1.6.1/src/math/big/int.go:314 +0x24

Regarding the gshift software crashing... I've had better luck lately.
Gshift/v2.5.0-0fa4d228/linux/go1.4.2
Has been running 3+ days now.
|
|
|
Yes, 2.5. It can run 24hrs without a problem. But it can crash in a few mins from the start like today and yesterday Win 7 64bit. I have had occasional crashes. ( maybe after a day) I'm using go 1.4.2. Maybe you could send a logfile to the shift team. Not shure what you are mining with but I suggest using Genoil's cudaminer. Recently versions support failover. (eg, I failover to ethproxy connected to a pool) It works with CUDA and OpenCL so ok with AMD and NVIDIA and will also delete the old DAG files. https://github.com/Genoil/cpp-ethereumHaven't tried the binaries, I use linux and build it myself. This is something that is also a lot easier since work has been done to eliminate dependencies that are not needed for mining.

Statistics is good, but inflation is more!
Inflation is not more. Its less. You can not include the first 10000 blocks since the genesis had a significant low difficulty. A problem though is our low hashing power. A stable high hashing power Will make it better even more. Dont worry sir, everything Will be allright. Im from the internet. How can shift have high hash rate if gshift is crashing all the time and have sync problems I hope you are using version 2.5.0. From the console, should show name: "Gshift/v2.5.0- ....

Hi, im doing solo and its going very well, but where can i find network statistics like https://ethstats.net/ ? From the gshift console I typically use the following to monitor information on my host... shf.getBlock("latest") net.peerCount admin.peers web3.fromWei(shf.getBalance(shf.shiftbase))
There is also the "gshift monitor" but you need to enable it with the "--metrics" option when you start gshift. And while I was typing someone posted their monitor. :-)

It's not possible to get MPOS working with (later) blocks with smaller block numbers, we will be resetting the blocks and transactions on the pool as well as soon as we get some time, please switch to other pools or soloing if possible, we thought it will be a simple wallet upgrade and not a full reset.
shift.maxminers.net apparently escaped with coins (((
We urge you not to jump to conclusions. MaxMiners are respected pool operators, please give them some time to sort things out. We will try and see if we can speed up the solution. They are obviously on the old 2.4.2 chain and have the most up to date version I have seen. Does the Shift Team have a backup of the 2.4.2 chain they would be willing to share?
