141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Operator of Helix Bitcoin ‘Mixer’ Pleads Guilty on: August 22, 2021, 12:52:26 PM
Many others are running the same business but they are not money laundering. Money laundering and running a mixing service is different. Mixing services are allowed in most countries because it provides increased privacy but money laundering is not. If someone uses a mixing service it does not mean they have any thing to hide instead they could be increasing their privacy and do not want people they trade with to know how much money they have. They could still be declaring their tax to the IRS.
142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting Or Gambling ? on: August 22, 2021, 12:50:02 PM
There are people who play gambling only while there are others who prefer betting only.
Do you think both of these type of people have different mindset and one of them is willing to take more risk than than others ?

Also do think that gambling is for the entertainment and earning money too but people do betting only to earn money and there is no element of fun involved in it.

Most of the gamblers had already taken it to the next level where they seem not able to breathe well when any of those two are unavailable to them. Yeah! entertainment is not what they want, rather those profits will make them happy if they ever won. But as you can see, when they lose, there seems no happiness in their faces because they realize what they have done. They just lose it and thinking that will somehow find a way to get back what they've lost.

In both gambling and betting, the motive is to earn the money. There is no way that anyone is gambling and did not want to win in the end. Similarly why you bet on matches, because we want to win and earn money otherwise we can get enough entertainment by watching the sports of our choice.
It is the motive you want to make money but I think every rationale gambler admits that they are betting against the odds and are unlikely to win in the long term. I have been gambling for many years and I have never profited after all this time. I have won bets but those wins turn into losses after a couple of months. I do not know any one personally who is in the green I only know of certain celebrities which made their career out of gambling. Dan Blitz is one of them.

Arsenal have confirmed that Ben White is missing in todays match because of a illness. That has to be disappointing for Arsenal fans 1st time to see your new signing at home and he is missing the match with illness. Arsenal have a lot of players out which are key players and Chelsea are at full strength. Lukaku prolly gets some game time today and I think he will score.

Manchester United against Southampton is kicking off in 10 minutes. I think Manchester United will find this a comfortable game 2-0.
144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: August 22, 2021, 12:27:12 PM
Speed isn’t not a factor to determine a striker's freedom. Aubameyang and Lacazette are different kind of strikers. Aubameyang plays with more pace and through passes. He’s nothing without the ball and have little or no aggression in the penalty area. While Lacazette does play with much aggression, strength and does more when with the ball. He may lack speed and composure in front of goal but he’s the best type of striker for a defense like Chelsea. He has an aggressive presence in the attack and that’s why he’s prefer upfront and not on the wings. He’s a fighter and always want to win the ball for the team. That’s why I said he’s of an advantage without the ball. Reports confirmed that Aubameyang joined the team to train yesterday, so I think he will be in contention for today’s match against the Blues.
Chelsea has a slow defense and I think Aubameyang is a better suited to playing against Chelsea than Lacazette is because of that speed. Aubameyang will be able to get past that tight marking that Chelsea will do by beating the offisde trap and getting behind them. Chelsea wing backs are fast but in the center they are slow. If Thiago plays I see that being a problem if Aubameyang plays. If he trained yesterday I doubt that he will be able to start today I suspect he might be on as a substitute and nothing more.
145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 22, 2021, 11:59:31 AM
at least I enjoy the fight and possibly the last fight of the 8th division world world champion.
I hope it is Manny's last fight. I love him as a boxer and he is probably one of the best of all time but it is clear that he is losing his ability / fitness in the later rounds. He has a very good record and it is always sad to see these legends pick up unnecessary losses on their record because they do not know when to give up the sport. All the legends Tyson and Ali went on for longer than they should have and ended up picking up these losses on their record. The only one that has not in recent memory is Floyd Mayweather but he is playing it smart fighting Youtubers.
146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bare Knuckle FC odds on: August 22, 2021, 11:57:04 AM
This is not a very popular promoter, it's one level below the Bellator I think, and might not be worth adding for the bookies to add their matches. Maybe I missed them but I have not seen any of bareknuckleFC fights on stake or on sportsbet. Sometimes I don't even see Bellator fights in popular sportsbooks when there are UFC fights on the same day.
What are you talking about? You don't seem to know yourself I guess. Bare knuckle fights have nothing to do with MMA. It's like expecting boxing matches at UFC events  Cheesy . Bare knuckle competitions are forbidden in most of countries in the world, that's why sportsbooks can't offer markets for those contests IMO.

Quite odd to learn the world sees bare-knuckle fighting as forbidden but allowed in US.
I didn't know it's only for US. The old fighters of UFC seem to be there in BareKnuckle. I just saw a fight of Cris Leben on youtube. It was his retirement fight though. I guess they still could have a career after UFC if not in Bellator.

This competition is only for US but there are a lot of other competitions in other countries. Japan, United Kingdom and Germany have bare knuckle fighting competitions of good level. Most gambling companies do not allow you to bet on them and you can only bet on them at the event usually. It is kind of like underground betting. All the competitions are legal and regulated. I do not think UFC fighters after getting punched in the face so long should go to bare knuckle fighting. Bare knuckle fighting you get some crazy injuries as there is no protection for the fighters. The attacker also gets some bad injuries to their hands.
147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 22, 2021, 11:53:24 AM
After this fight, I regret even more about canceling the fight with Spence - I was going to bet on Spence and obviously I would have won. I did not dare to bet on Ugas, although the odds for his victory were attractive. I think the result of this fight is another confirmation that the bookmakers are trying to catch the mood of the crowd and squeeze out the odds according to this, and not according to the real forces of the opponents. The odds on both of Pacquiao's opponents were seriously overestimated and it was profitable to bet on them.
Do you think you would have won? Manny was training for Spence and while I do think Manny should have beaten Ugas even with short notice because he is one of the most talented boxers around I do think Manny would have beaten Spence because he was already training for him and it is clear that he still has the skills. I do not think Manny lost this fight because it was short notice at least that being the sole reason I think it was a combination of taking it on short notice and not being able to train for his opponent and him getting older and slowing down in the later rounds. I think if he was fighting Spence he would have known when to engage and would have saved energy then his age would not play such a big part in the fight like it did yesterday.
148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2021/2022 on: August 22, 2021, 11:44:20 AM
They don't have the squad to match Chelsea today, I don't think they'll score against Chelsea today.
It's going to be a 0---2 win Chelsea.
Although this is a London derby ......Arteta's squad Don't have the understanding already to defeat Chelsea
Arsenal have won big games before with these players it is not that they do not have the understanding to beat Chelsea it is rumored that Arsenal are without some of their first team players and they have Arteta managing them which is always a problem for them. They also had a terrible start to the season last weekend. I think we are either going to see a Arsenal looking for revenge after being embarrassed by Brentford or we are going to see this Arsenal team collapse and Chelsea put 2 or 3 goals on them.
149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: August 22, 2021, 11:42:16 AM
Arsenal vs Chelsea this is my match of the day and despite Arsenal showing so many holes in the team they seem to have a knack over the blues and I feel that it's worth putting some money on them to beat Chelsea as long as they will play Aubameyang and Lacazette, if not am not putting in my bets.
I think both Aubameyang and Lacazette have fitness issues and are big doubts for the game. This could be Arsenal playing games with Chelsea and they are fit and ready to go but I think at least one of them will be unfit to play. I think Aubameyang is the one that would cause the most problems for Chelsea I think Lacazette would be marked out of the game and does not have the speed that Aubameyang has to get him away from the defenders. I would wait until the team sheets are out which will be shortly and then place your bets if your bets  depend on them starting.
150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting Or Gambling ? on: August 22, 2021, 11:37:24 AM
Also do think that gambling is for the entertainment and earning money too but people do betting only to earn money and there is no element of fun involved in it.
If you are betting to earn money then you are doing it wrong statistically you are not going to earn any money. Most people are in the red from bets. They do it because it is fun. You might win the odd betslip but that will soon disappear if you continue to bet. The only ones which are in the green are those that have won very large amounts and have not gone crazy with their betting since they won that large amount.

So this means that chances of winning is more in the sports betting because we are not betting against the house ?
Not really but kind of because there is a fixed chance that you win in casinos but sports betting it depends on your picks. If you are very good at watching football and know all the teams and players know their weaknesses and strengths you probably have a better chance than most people of winning regularly. Casinos you cannot do that especially on things like slots. You could count cards but that is the only example of being able to change the odds in casinos.
151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting Or Gambling ? on: August 22, 2021, 11:29:13 AM
Both are these things are gambling the difference is gambling in a casino means that the favor is always in the houses favor. Sportsbetting you are not betting against the house instead you are betting for the predictions you make and the only thing that changes the odds is the amount of people who have backed those odds. I think it is better to bet on sports because at least you are not trying to beat the odds of the house however yes sportsbetting is still hard because of all the variables. I find sports betting more fun too because you can watch the games fold out while you have a bet on them.
152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2021/2022 on: August 22, 2021, 11:16:30 AM
Chelsea vs Arsenal is one of those matches with high expectations a whole lot would bet Chelsea straight win but I'm pretty sure lots of surprises would surface the match might end in a 1:1 draw because Arsenal is very much prepared for this very match. Going by the last matches of this two teams we saw a great improvement in Arsenal stars after the lost to Brentford
I am waiting for the lineups to be sure but yes any team in the Premier League can throw you a surprise but if you are betting on the game every indicator is pointing to a Chelsea dominating win. Arsenal was terrible last weekend against one of the weakest teams in the Premier League. Arsenal are rumored to not have their 1st choice strikers today and Chelsea do not have any major injury concerns. The only positive for Arsenal going into this game is they will be playing at home which could sway some of the momentum their way but I still think Chelsea are going to score a lot of goals. 3-0.
153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: August 22, 2021, 11:13:14 AM
In the past when Mikel Arteta was still playing as a midfielder in the field, I enjoyed watching him unleashing shots from great distance to score amazing goals but I am starting to lose confidence with him in managing a football club as a manager. Even though Arsenal will be playing against Chelsea in their home stadium today, but I think Chelsea will be able to beat Arsenal relatively easily today.
He is a great example of a good player not being good at managing. I cannot believe he got the position at Arsenal based on his playing performance. He is to inexperienced to be managing a team like Arsenal. I think it would be better for him if he was to take a smaller team in a lower division and work his way up like most managers. I have predicted a 3-0 win for Chelsea. Arsenal could not score against newly promoted Brentford last weekend and Chelsea have a very good team in all departments. I do not see Arsenal being able to score unless they get some luck on their side.
154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 22, 2021, 11:10:46 AM
~
but i was shocked to see the result of the match.
There was nothing shocking with the result if you watch the match without any bias to any fighter.

I already said before that the replacement fight could be dangerous for Manny because they didn't have enough time to prepare while Ugas team probably knows everything about him. I think that's one of the main reason why he lost. He couldn't really figure out his opponent.
Manny has the skills to beat anyone even if he does not have much time to prepare. I think the problem here is Manny is getting old as well as not having time to study his opponent and that is why he lost the fight. You could see that he still has amazing movement and amazing hands but he couldn't keep it up and Ugas started to take over. It is a shame but I would like to see Manny retire and focus on his politician career before he gets hurt.
155  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Work Smarter, not Harder: How to Earn Passive Income with Cryptocurrency on: August 19, 2021, 01:10:54 AM
This is a classic example of paid promotion done by yahoo.com, they will publish anything for money.

Why would anyone earn interest in Bitcoin when they can just double it in a year or so just by HODLING. Earning interest in other cryptocurrencies sounds like a good option but there are so many reputed organizations in the market that trying a new one just does not fit anymore.

These platforms will ask you to go through KYC it is better to use wallets nowadays to earn passive income as most of them do not ask you to go through KYC.
Bitcoin does not always double in price every year and it is not guaranteed that Bitcoin will go up if you hold. I think most people expect that to happen but we should not say it is a fact that will happen. Wallets do not earn passive income by them selves it is because Bitcoin rises in price that you earn passive income. Wallets are just a way of storing your Bitcoin and do not earn you any money passive or not by them selves. Other altcoins have features which allow you to earn interest on holding their tokens but these usually die after a couple of months because the idea is not sustainable the same as offering interest on Bitcoin deposits is not sustainable.

According to reports,Arsenal have agreed deal with Real Madrid over the permanent transfer of Martin Odegard in a bid worth 40 million. The Norwagian player have signed a five year deal with the club to make him the gunner's fourth signing of the summer. The player was Arsenal's top priority when he proved himself at North London over his period of his loan spell at the club.

He was thought to have remained at Madrid, but Ancelotti did not in include him in his plans at the club,he prefers the likes of Isco and other person's at the club so the player opt to join a club that he will be seeing regular football.
Odegard I do not think will ever be a big player instead he is a player that has potential but needs the right environment to achieve it. I do not think Arsenal have the right environment for him to develop to his potential and he would have been more suited at Madrid where they have better coaching and facilities. I also think Odegard is not suited to the Premier League I was not blown away by his performances on loan but Arsenal have done well to get him for 40 million and could profit on selling him in the future if he does improve. He probably was in Ancelotti's plans but because of Real Madrids financial situation they were forced to sell him. I think Arsenal knew this and got a good price because of it. I do not think Arsenal will be reaching top 4 even with the permanent signing of Odegard I think they need to be more ambitious in their transfers if they want to improve their league position from last year.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for Afghanistan and Taiwan on: August 19, 2021, 12:57:03 AM
Not a good idea though. If people see the Taliban use it (and let's face it, that's inevitable if the common people start using it) it will give bitcoin a bad name that we can't really recover from as long as it's used there.
I think I remember reading a couple of years ago that terrorists were found to be using Bitcoin to buy weapons. I cannot remember if this was a legit claim but I have heard other people say that they think Bitcoin is used by criminals it does not matter if the claim was legit people will believe it without researching it.

Bitcoin is not yet fully payment system like fiat. Bitcoin is high volatile and common people of Afghanistan would not like it. Well devolped countries should choose bitcoin for payments purpose than off course some small countries will also adopt it.
Bitcoin is a full payment system and operates like fiat but with improvements the problem with Bitcoin now is the fees and the high volatility that has nothing to do with Bitcoin not being a full payment system but the nature of the people using Bitcoin. Afghanistan is not a small country and is one of the richest if you count the amount of oil they have. Do not confuse developed countries for being the richest countries this is no always true because some countries that are rich have been in a state of war for decades like Afghanistan.
158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 19, 2021, 12:44:05 AM
I was looking forward to the Spence - Manny Pacquiao fight it is a shame it was cancelled. I think the odds were better for gamblers because Pacuiao will beat Yordenis Ugas easily. I know a lot of you are predicting a decision win but I think Pacuiao can knock him out even if he is getting old Pacquiao is one of the best boxers of our time. Look at his boxing record it speaks for itself.

https://boxstat.co/boxer/34959-manny-pacquiao

He has had some decision wins and some tko wins in his last couple of fights with the most recent tko coming in the Lucas Martin Matthysse fight who has a record that is more impressive than Yordenis Ugas with 39-5-0 until he lost to Pacuiao. Pacuiao for a win by knockout has a better return that will be the bet I will be making.
159  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Online Misinformation on: August 19, 2021, 12:33:03 AM
...
Studies are peer reviewed to stop corruption and bias in the research. If we could not trust peer reviewed research a lot of our facts and science today would be obsolete. I think research which is peer reviewed is better than me and you looking at data that we do not understand and coming to our own conclusion because at least with the researchers they are qualified and know how to interpretate the data.

All 'peer reviewed' means is that they found a handful of corrupt academics to sign off on a fraudulent paper.  This is remarkably easy to do in a growing number of fields.  The so-called 'climate scientists' lead the pack here, but many other disciplines followed suite.

In tight politically driven fields such as 'climate science' the pay-off for checking off as a 'peer review' for your buddy is that he/she will do the same for your next paper.  It's nothing more than a circle-jerk of fraud and corruption.

But if we are this skeptical about peer reviewed studies then we cannot trust anything including scientific research that has shaped our world. I think peer reviewed studies are not allowed to be peer reviewed by colleagues and instead is done by experts in the same field as the researcher or study author.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4975196/

This article shows us the importance of peer reviewed studies and why they are more trustworthy than other studies. I have seen a lot of members here on this sub forum post claims without any studies and they claim it to be fact but all of a sudden we cannot listen to peer reviewed studies which have been scrutinized a lot more than some random member on a forum claiming a statement is true?
160  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Afghanistan fall into a prolonged state of war again? on: August 19, 2021, 12:23:04 AM
To avoid another terrorist assault on American territory like the one that occurred on September 11, 2001, Americans have been in Afghanistan since 2001 for their own safety, not for the safety of Afghans.
This makes little sense why would Americans leave the country where there have been isolated attacks from terrorists and go to a war torn country? Their chance of survival would be better at home and not in a country which has been one of the biggest areas in the world for conflict recently. It was in the best interest of America to put the Afghanistan government in control and out of control of the taliban because they consolidate the power in the middle east. That has now changed and it is only because Biden is more conservative than previous presidents that America has withdrawn. I think Trump put in the order to withdraw before Biden was elected but the presidents before that have continued the war even when people were requesting America to withdraw.
