141  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance Trading Fee Question on: October 03, 2021, 11:12:11 PM
So its been a while since i did any trade on binance.  A while back when i bought an altcoin, i remember i paid the fees with either BNB or btc... i forgot which.  I think it was bnb because there was a discount doing it that way?

But now when you sell an altcoin on binance... how are they deducting your fees?  Example say you sell powerledger or lisk for btc.  Are they deducting some powerledger?  Or will it be from bnb or btc?  Asking this because i have altcoin, and very tiny amount of bnb and btc in my binance account.

I remember buying the altcoin with btc and paying the fee in bnb for some reason.  It might have been btc once.  But if i sell powerledger or lisk on binance for btc... im paying the fee in powerledger or lisk right?

Basically if you're holding btc on power ledger I think trading fee from wallet should be deducted from btc. Unless if they're using contract address that belongs to bnb or eth, if course their tx fee should be in the same network fee required to send your asset at binance. What's good on bitcoin was you don't need contract, because it already runs within it's own network. You don't need other gas to send it towards trading site and only it's own coin would be deducted.
142  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Paano malalaman kung ano NFT game ay worth it pag-investan ng pera? on: October 03, 2021, 10:37:14 PM
By the way mga master, ito ba yung MIST na tinutukoy ninyo? https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/mist/markets/
So masasabi kong, those progress are a sign na may potential 'to at hindi lang basta basta pero DYOR pa rin tayo.

143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is something wrong with cryptocurrencies? on: October 03, 2021, 10:10:10 PM
What would happen if everybody wants to exchange for a real money?
I consider it not fair to mine cryptocurrencies?
If it is so good why there is a need for exchange rate to the real money?
Why recently I needed to block about 30 phone numbers constantly calling me to invest money in cryptocurrency? Is it going to finish soon because of having probblems not to be fed this pyramide game with real money?
These people who wanted to contact you for serious investment discussion was associated with fraudulent activities using cryptocurrency as an alibi for their shady business. Mostly their pyramiding schemes was intensely convincing people around the world, ended worst if someone would entertain then just because of huge investment roi but unfortunately was a scam. Exchanging for real money is our nature when it comes to cryptocurrency, but controlling one selves is very important to avoid regrets when another rise happens.
144  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of an iPhone in Bitcoin at their launch over the years. on: October 03, 2021, 09:01:29 PM
Instead of spending too much on luxurious gadgets, maybe it's now time to divert all those materialistic desires and turn our ways on bitcoin. Let's think about profitable future of our lives, don't let your world falls on technology advancements. If we need phones and other stuffs, just take only for its purpose and not by fashion.
Bitcoin is a good assurance for gains, so as a trader or holder make it a good decision to choose it wisely instead of ignoring it.
145  Economy / Economics / Re: When you sell is no longer "yours" on: October 02, 2021, 11:59:29 PM
This may seem very obvious, but some people do not seem to clearly understand what selling means. For example, I know a few people for a mid-size village that, during a housing boom, sold quite a bit of land to developers and made a development plan that was pretty much crazy (high rise on small streets, minimal walkways, no space for public services, ...). They were very happy about getting the money. Now, all I hear is complaints about how many disgusting people that are not born there came to live to "their village".

When you sell, is no longer yours. When you sell your bitcoin for more than you paid, you may be happy about it, but unless you have an investment to make or would like to buy something else, all you have left is... fiat. And fiat finds its way out of pockets very quickly.

Sell you coins when perfect time comes, don't be bother of higher price because that's temporary. Keep holding your coins while we still don't see bullrun stabilized and surpass the challenges to beat $50k resistance. Normally, after recovery of bitcoin price every trader would do short term and set aside long term holdings. What I recommend here is dump only those quantities that you needed, but keep the other portions for future purpose.
146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Legalized Gambling where you live..where does it stand? on: October 02, 2021, 11:36:53 PM
I am just kind of curious how legalized gambling is coming along in whatever part of the world you live in?  I'm from Illinois in the United States and we just recently legalized many forms of gambling.  It's progressing pretty quickly too.  I'm hearing a lot of radio ads, seeing ads on TV for different sports books and what not etc.  I see this as great progress.  Free will is something we all deserve and though I know gambling can cause serious addiction etc, that shouldn't be up to our governments to decide whether we should be allowed to do it or not.

So I ask you, how is it coming along where you live?  Is it fully legal, coming close to being legal, or illegal with no change in sight?

I've only know legalized gambling here in Philippines but only for those big establishments, small operations and casual gambling that's not seen by authorities remained illegal. Like what I observed at my local place a small community barangay, heads and tails a coin dropped on a plain stone was still difficult to chase by local police due to illegal issues. However, online sabong betting started to become popular but I don't think we'd come to an issue for legality or not, hopefully there's a cryptocurrency adoption with this because I felt anonymous and comfortable rather than betting using gcash or any remittance center.
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "cash in, cash out" on: October 02, 2021, 11:09:28 PM
What effects, both positive and negative, does the fact that a substantial proportion of people that invest or get involved with Bitcoin in the first place, have the intention of making profit in a fiat currency as their primary objective? There are many people who do not fall within this category and many, who start in this manner, that then take on other ideals and ambitions. There are also many who want to "cash in, cash out".

That's an underlying activities that most people did everytime profit and capital takes place. Once you had an opportunity to do it nobody could stop us but do what we think could make us happy. Basically buying and selling is what it means when we cash in or out, depending on how we visualize things over us.
148  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Possible BTC Future by Gavin Andresen on: October 01, 2021, 11:56:37 PM
Has anybody read this article?

Just lately, Gavin Andresen, the person to whom Satoshi entrusted Bitcoin before he left, wrote an article about the future of Bitcoin. Gavin published it on his website, gavinandresen.ninja, around a week ago.

In the article, he predicted that the network will come to an end in 2061. But not before the price would reach as high as $6,000,000.

Do you think this is possible?

http://gavinandresen.ninja/a-possible-btc-future

There's nothing impossible for bitcoin, but I can't really believe we're going to reach that very top value. We're still struggling to reach $100k by now how much more with that raging millions of btc. Let's just be realistic, cryptocurrency is a growing world of digital money as well as cashless identity and nowadays it has been so popular, so there's no possiblity for Blockchain network to end because internet era continues to evolve.
149  Economy / Speculation / Re: October Bitcoin bull month. on: October 01, 2021, 11:03:34 PM
The month Of October started on a good grand for Bitcoin as its price raised significantly in the late hour of the 1st of October a move many analysts have predicted to be the full return of the Bitcoin bull market.

Per checking there's a significant increase that exactly caused this recent rise as well as demand soar amazingly. This will be potential bullrun if current market trend will continue to remain at green signal, with minimal crash as part of corrections. Though we experienced last month's downturns I believed it's all part of market challenges as we faced hardships prior seeing future rallies, and the fulfillment of biggest predictions this year and so on.
150  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Entering the trading market on: October 01, 2021, 10:39:03 PM
What is the best strategy to prepare oneself before entering the trading market?

You don't need strategy, all you need is enough funds to sustain on trading in order to manage your asset sustainably. Skills should be developed in order for us to cope up with different challenges, but that's normal for first timers to panic and worst is they lost a huge amount of money. Seek guidance from friends and peers who could mentor you for a good advice which eventually teach you different ways to deal with trading successfully.
151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have any real value? on: October 01, 2021, 09:21:16 PM
Bitcoin is not backed by any physical asset like Gold nor by any fiat currency. It makes me wonder if I should invest/trade in Bitcoin or not?

If you still don't have a brief research about bitcoin, then investing with it shouldn't be for you. Cryptocurrency Bitcoin still in a volatile character because that belong to that category, and digital currency only depends on the number of holders and not controlled by an underlying economy. Only thing I am certain here is that, when you review about the past history Bitcoin only got $700 that time of 2016. Nowadays it reached $48k, that's the proof of its strongholds until present despite of fluctuating market.
152  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Finding and understanding fees on: September 30, 2021, 11:10:44 PM
I'm having some difficulty understanding kraken fees.

According to https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/articles/201893638-How-trading-fees-work-on-Kraken the fees are less than 1%. (Note that there is no mention on this page that these fees only apply to a particular account type.)

However when I did fiat -> BTC and BTC -> fiat I was charged 1.5% for each transaction.

Delving further into the documentation, it appears to be the case that these fees were because I was using an intermediate account.

Can anyone confirm that if I upgrade to a pro account the fees will be the much lower (0.16%/0.26%)?

My advice on you mate, don't risk your trades if you won't able to pay a standard trading fees. Most of the time your should consider fees on every exchanges, it's part of their business and it always matters when you initiate withdrawals or transfers of your crypto funds. Upgrading an account doesn't guarantee lower fees, but I can assure you that our holdings is safe compared with basic verification.
153  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your opinion on recent bull market, will it be over soon? on: September 30, 2021, 10:42:35 PM
Bull market hasn't come to an end, but we also need to consider different factors that that delay all possible scenario which was making it difficult everytime market crashed. Corrections always tend to happen specially when fud and other news pertaining to china which is really devastating to traders because many people usually easy to become affected. Emotions and main stream media is highly monitored by focused traders, sometimes they're more dependent with that, so it's really one of the biggest contributor.
154  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going to $53k or down to $48k? (Bullish Scenario) on: September 30, 2021, 10:12:06 PM
What I can advice you now and for other long time desirable traders is keep and brace yourselves before we will be heading towards another waves of pumps. This time will be more exciting as price struggles to recover, and projections is really going to catch $50k back.
Definitely, if nothing's going to hinder the recent market developments I think we will be moving upwards with an unexpected price much higher than previous ATH.
155  Economy / Economics / Re: China Is making Fuds Since 2017, But BTC Always Gone higher on: September 30, 2021, 09:51:49 PM
Hi guys as mostly readers would be crypto related. And China is Always big market crasher. In my point of views biggest whales always Do this with china so they can crash crypto market. So they they get always lower entries and they get higher returns to create fomo when bull market happens. So what are are your thoughts about China. If they crash crypto to 20,000 Dollars or not in coming months.

Even how bad thoughts they're sharing towards the world, these china men won't be successful because people these days had been wiser enough to determine their plans out of desperation. Don't be fooled by this speculations, Im pretty sure they paid a lot of dollars just to deceive many traders as they could. Coming months will be prosperous, just trust the system.
156  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Before getting into trading on: September 29, 2021, 10:31:33 PM
When one first enters the trading game, it is most often challenging to know how to prepare for it. Even if it is an appealing approach to increase profit, it would not be as fruitful as one may imagine without a fundamental understanding of the basics and a few preparations.
How should one prepare before getting into trading?

On my experiences, I don't have preparation too and I just entered the market because of bounty tokens. That made me so devastating as I've come without any knowledge on how to handle tokens and coins. One day I failed on the decision I made of failing to sell my tokens, then one day those asset went out undervalued until today and worst mistakes other of them became dead coins.
Good thing I learned all from those mistake, now I've switched to reliable assets like eth and btc which still remain as my long term holdings.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All crypto declared illegal in China!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: September 29, 2021, 10:11:55 PM
We all knew that China Government was run with communist party, and there's nothing we can do about it. Even Jack Ma, he had been silent for speaking up with their country's leadership, so there's nothing impossible with cryptocurrency being declared as illegal. It became illegal because this currency wouldn't be controlled due to no regulations associated, that runs through Blockchain and it's a decentralized system. Everything that's related to cryptocurrency probably hated by government without democracy, but not for countries who has freedom like US and other crypto friendly country. Nothing to be afraid with, not all Chinese people abide on that certain idea because some of them migrated on other countries and became a huge cryptocurrency holders who remains anonymous.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bangladesh may be approve bitcoin very soon according to ICT MINISTER on: September 29, 2021, 09:30:06 PM

~snip~

There, Junaid Ahmed Palak sir, State Minister for ICT of Bangladesh, made a number of comments in favor of Bitcoin. His comments suggest that they are thinking of legalizing Bitcoin in Bangladesh. This is the news link: https://youtu.be/oZogIfJBz7M

I am translating the news from banga to English. Here I will highlight his points.

  • We should be updated with technology in money evolution. Because first we use products for products then paper money then bank then plastic card as visa or master card, then mobile wallet then we can't accept digital payment system as a degital currency. I think this is top point.
  • He says if we buy any illegal products with legal fiat currency then can we blame fiat currency? The answer os no, obviously not. So if bitcoin uses for any illegal work then we can't blame bitcoin. Another best point
  • And lastly he says we should discussed about it so that in crypto race we get last position. So we should discuss about it and teach our people about bitcoin. That is why Our ICT MINISTER suggest the Department to make a report about bitcoin and send it to Bangladesh bank then we will discussed together about it approval.

I think this little conference of him with news channel is a huge jump for Bangladesh in bitcoin sector. For me it is a purely posetive news for us. Might be we can see very soon that our country means Bangladesh approve bitcoin. I am waiting for the day.

This positive news is highly appreciated, and I adore their transparency behind what's really happening of Bitcoin with other countries today despite of fake news that also trying to mislead us. Fortunately, cryptocurrency still continue raging towards the top and never been shakin by different crab mentality people who wanted to take down bitcoin just to pursue their dark intentions. Hopefully approval will be expedited and after that we will see the potential positive outcome for btc price on its current market value.
159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blockchain and Gambling on: September 29, 2021, 08:26:38 PM
Basically, this article used to be a better guide for gamblers who would like to seek proper understanding on cryptocurrency particular with the network that help their gambling transactions runs genuinely.
This served as tracker of their specific history that provides transparency towards every person who sends their funds at different online gambling sites. Without this, I don't think online betting would run successfully.
160  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin a threat to China? Is China deliberately imposing sanction on BTC on: September 28, 2021, 11:17:02 PM
I've seen a huge rivalry here, and with China's plan to sanction btc I guess they're controlling their people to adopt their own digital currency. But they couldn't force their residents because Bitcoin in the first place runs through Blockchain and can be accessed anonymously.
Freedom is there in cryptocurrency, and even they're trying more blockage just to stop their countrymen adopting bitcoin as their alternative in getting passive income; I guess they'll be failing so many times.
