Lol so we need some forensic investigation in here, but why are not more users of updown complaining about it?? or is because they havent spend the amount received? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) In that case he could have gone over localbitcoins and sold thousands of dollars of btc worth or sell bitcoins even at cash in person. Would be interested to see if any other 'winners' can spend those coins...

I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to accept a txn as verified now...

Well if this is true, wow, and why wasn't this caught by anyone earlier? It would have a big impact on the sig campaign as well. Forget Sig campaign. If double spending can be done so easily, Bitcoin will crash tomorrow. Yeah - that's my point! It was always my understanding that anyone could double spend, you didn't need to have 51% hash power or whatever. That's why you have to wait for a confirmation or two, right? No, these were small txns over the last two weeks adding up to 2 BTC 'winnings' - some of these txns has hundreds of confirmations showing in my wallet. Only when I re-downloaded the entire block chain did I find the problem. So if you had like lets say 5 btcs in your wallet, the ones who dissapeared could have not been the updown ones, did you verify if you dont have any 0 confirmation tx in your wallet recently? maybe the 2 btc amount missing is from other txs No, the only other txns are from mining at slush's pool - and the total I have remaining matches the total when I add up the payments from slush's site. The only missing txns are from updown.

If double spending can be done so easily, Bitcoin will crash tomorrow. Yeah - that's my point! So now explain this carefully.. You got 2 btc as a payment from updown right? They dissapeared when you tried to send them to another address? how many confirmations did you got on that tx, the bitcoins you received? show the amount you did receive from updown and show the address where you received it Yes I got 2 btc as a payment from updown right? - in small txns over the last 2 weeks No, they disappeared when I was forced to re-download the entire block chain Hundreds of confirmations on the older txns I can't show the received amounts as those txns are no longer in my wallet - but I have posted the sent txns - and if you follow them then you get the double spend warning.

Interesting, if I use biteasy all of my transaction blocks are showing as orphaned...

Yep - this is new for bitcoin - not seen this before.
New to bitcoin? Really? Transactions are nothing new to me. Bitcoins moving around is perfectly normal. So you are used to seeing "Warning! this bitcoin address contains transactions which may be double spends. You should be extremely careful when trusting any transactions to or from this address. " I'm not...

UPDATE, I followed one address from the one posted above by unluckyduck and i finally got the same error message on this address https://blockchain.info/es/address/16AxyGBRFQt1FETWtYNVGJFyv6udU6V3ERMy apologies to the user nottm now i hope updown is not making some real shit over here, he can get in trouble, better to pay campaigners and clear all the fuds over here. ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif) Well that was like pulling teeth - thank you for verifying - how can they do a double spend so easily was the next question... I dont know man, thats intriguing , and now i cant see the error message again, it just dissapeared, but i saw it, and now that they are moving funds, this smells bad. So we have addresses who displays that error message by time in time, and they are moving funds. not good Yep - this is new for bitcoin - not seen this before.

I wanted the address... why u have dumped this huge tx list ?
There are many addresses that updown send winnings to - they use any address you ever received a payment from so there is no single address that my 2 btc has disappeared from. But if you pick any of those txns above and search it on blockchain.info (remove the last 4 characters added by the client). Then click through on the red txns you see - then after a few clicks of following the chain you get the 'double spend' warning. How is it so easy for these people to perform double spends? I have the latest btc client... Man i did that, removed the characters, clicked alot following addreses both way up and way down and i still cant get that message ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Ffunnygasm.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2012%2F12%2FBatman2.jpg&t=663&c=j6tA_KGsbB27Kw) Seriously , better wait if OP comes up tomorrow and explain that to him, stop posting here. I'll post here if I want to you tit

So your wallet got attacked not those addresses. Just so happens that only the updown txns are affected? unlikely... Point out what you define "double spend" on that screenshot of your wallet, it seems like you dont know what can be a double spent Because if you saw some of your balance dissapear is because the tx dint go trough well and it was returned to the sender, this kind of txs never gets one confirmation, so in this case they have to send it to you again. this is an uncommon error of the clients not double spending. updown cant double spend anything! only if you have more than 51% of hashing power you can do it, educate yourself Ok, I'm pretty sure you seen my images from block chain and the image from my wallet - if you can't see a problem here then carry on - enjoy.

So your wallet got attacked not those addresses. Just so happens that only the updown txns are affected? unlikely... Can u plz specify something ? Which one is affected according to your belief ? 1. Transaction 2. Address 3. Wallet The transactions that updown.bt made to me (my winnings) were double spend txns. They appeared in my wallet just fine but when I was forced to re-download the blockchain, those txns were marked as 'double spends' on the block chain. I don't have the txns in my wallet for the receiving coins any longer. But I do have the txns that I made to place my bets. Those are the txns I listed above. You can follow the path of a bitcoin on blockchain info so I searched it to see where my coins ended up by following my own payment txns. By doing this I get warnings that the addresses I was sending to were performing double spend attacks. Basically I can't trust what's im my wallet - it might be showing perfectly fine, but if I re-download the blockchain then it may disappear - this is bad shit.
