In the cryptocurrency space, projections and dates mostly serve as a point around which speculators go crazy, the markets become volatile, and people either praise the project beyond measure or spread FUD in every direction, depending on their position.
In short, they serve absolutely no use aside from to people who are looking for short-term market signals. This causes a lot of agitation to the community and to the team - for zero benefit.
If you're participating in, or following, one of our many channels, you'll be the first to know once what we are creating is available for use. Soon enough, AMPs will be usable in the actual software, and that will form a solid basis for their value and market price.
Nonsense. A roadmap needs dates, period. This isn't a roadmap but a promisemap. Everyone that ever worked in a serious company knows that this is shit. In the crypto business though? Dor already explained earlier in the thread why there are no dates for the roadmap. If you easily misinterpret his posts in this thread, I'm not sure how you could've possibly done research to make sure that this was a good investment. I mean, IT IS, but you wouldn't even be able to figure that out by yourself.

Could the Synereo Team please rethink their roadmap and maybe overwork it. I think it's what most of the community members (well the ones that are still with this project) want. Please consider it at least.
Phrases filled with buzzwords like "(...)We will decide at each point where to focus our attention and resources to maximize the synergy between the Synereo project and the ecosystem in which it grows (...)" or unnecessary metaphors like "(...) Instead of designing and building a whole chariot before having first invented the wheel(-axle), (...)" does nothing for the information value of your roadmap. Some kind of timeframe is needed to realistically evaluate the different status quos of this project.
We're at a breaking point right now. It's not a good sign if your slack is filled with more fudsters than supporters.
There will be FUD regardless. I'm backing up Synereo 100% on it's decision - they'll bring out their product when it's ready. They realized that giving a timeline for the roadmap is unrealistic because of the tech involved - "too many moving parts" as Dor said. Anything can go wrong that could prevent them from delivering at the exact time that they said they would. The team is motivated to get out the Alpha ASAP and that's a good sign. The devs are definitely cooking up something, they haven't been sitting around for 2 months.

Who's expecting more dumping today. I am. AMP, you guys all got hustled. Go fund RChain! Or sell your AMPs to Fezington! So, I don't have to see FUD all over the thread.

|
|
Yeah where is the update. I see the markets are dumping again so even before i read it i know its going to be bad.
Can you share the link to the update.
For something that took weeks to come up with you could say it was bad lol These fuckers are just winging it as they go and taking idiots money along the way. Bravo to them. LOL After great news of yesterday it was hiked to the moooooooon.. Haha .. I don't know how much AMP will down status. Soon amp below 5k .. Hope so. Fucking shit coin Leave the thread and go fund RChain. Mmm, so THAT'S why so many people lose money. They're day-traders and they don't even know what a "shit" coin is.

Have you seen any project in the space delivering on the promised timeline? There's too much uncertainty, and too many immature, moving pieces to provide an accurate estimation based on.
We're simply going to deliver working products when they are ready.
Thanks for getting back to me. Again, love the roadmap, looking forward to the deliverables!

I am reading between the lines and thinking that they just very recently hired new people and new work hasn't started yet.
Aside from Greg, no one from the old team has left in the past few months, and we've since hired 2 new developers, another IT guy, and will likely close with another dev in the coming week. Work has not stopped for a second. Dor, is Synereo publishing a timeline for the roadmap today or is it being made soon?
|
|
|
Well done, Synereo! I love the new roadmap. I would definetely like to see a time line for it though (I'm assuming they're already working on it).

|

The activities are pretty weak overall. I'm thinkin' people are expecting to be disappointed on the 20th... They already got people's money... then another year of no product? 2 plus years still no working working alpha? It all sounds like vapor to me, everything just doesn't add up. All noise and hot air. Will just keep churning it. I expect a new roadmap, burnt AMPS, and a date for the Alpha. Dor never promised an increase in AMP value on the 20th.

AMP is about to go up now, looks like the 30/50 moving averages are crossing again: Every single time the 30/50 moving averages have crossed, the trend has changed, now it's crossing again. Looks like the price is about to go up soon, brace yourselves Interesting chart sir. I will guide myself by it. Dor promised to burn unsold AMPs. It's been months since the crowdsale finished, but he still hasn't!
On the other hand, when the crowdsale was ongoing and he wanted to support prices at Polo above the 33k threshold, he was very quick to burn almost one billion AMPs!
I personally don't hold it against him. You need to be able to play the market. Many fund managers do the same, it's no big deal. What I am interested in is what could happen on Jan 20? I would suggest...uh...do it NOW. But don't put all your eggs in one basket if this is all you have. I believe that Bitcoin, Eth, and Monero will still continue to rise in value, so you have a few coins to choose from. This is still the perfect place to enter for AMP. You all will regret not buying below $0.10, mark my words.
Don't worry I am a big investor all my investments are diversified. The 39 BTC is just play money for me. I might invest more if the situation arises. I think Mike should buy some, but if he does he should do it before Jan 20, because if some burning will happen, then the price will skyrocket on the 20th, and he will miss a lot of profits.
I will, I think I will buy either on Jan 20, or when the market starts to dip up a little bit. I must make sure it's an uptrend, so I need you people to join me on the buy. When the price starts to move up a little bit, I will release my entire 39 BTC buy order all at once. I have already moved my coins to Polo. I think I will setup an automatic API to buy as soon as the market starts to dip up. Oh ok, my bad, I assumed that that was all you had. I bought for the 2nd ICO (24 bonus phase), never sold the AMPS - I still think that the ICO buyers can make a lot of money from this. I'll hold for a couple years or so.

I have been watching Synereo silently for 9 months now, and for all the things I saw here, I have to admit that the community is very resilient. Numerous fud and lying attempts have been tried by newbie accounts, looking at the past 4 pages, that is easy to see. Well but still the community is still together. I have also followed the slack channel, and I have seen a lot of positive things there. Dor has been working very hard to make this project succeed, and I have all my respect for hard workers. And all the hard work has now made me decide to put some stake in this. I have 39 BTC ready to invest in AMP right now, and I have already a verified Poloniex account where I will buy AMP. The only thing I need to do now is to transfer the BTC to the exchange and to push the BUY button. I will do just that, but before I do that, I want to hear people's opinions about Jan 20. I have heard that the price will go up because the new roadmap release.
What is your opinion guys? I would suggest...uh...do it NOW. But don't put all your eggs in one basket if this is all you have. I believe that Bitcoin, Eth, and Monero will still continue to rise in value, so you have a few coins to choose from. This is still the perfect place to enter for AMP. Popcorn time again! Meanwhile... I'll just keep churning while the circus show is still going. While saying this, he secretly panic-buys AMPS because he thinks that AMP supporters might be on to something here. "Churning" is pretty straight forward. It means I do both. So regardless of whether it goes up or down, sideways, news or not is irrelevant as long as there is volatility. You won't get anywhere, you'll miss the price jump whenever it happens. I'd continue to hold all of my AMPS if I were you.

I don't if this question has already been answered or not but how do we set up a Crowdstarter with this platform? Also, how fast is it when exchanging fiat for crypto?

Think about internet censorship in China, Facebook's Censorship scandal, social media sites that sell your information without your consent, even the short-lived hype over Steemit, etc. Believe it or not, there's actually huge demand for a decentralized social media/smart contract platform. Also, keep in mind, China makes up 18% of the world's population. I'd highly suggest that Synereo come out with a good mobile app as well - this is very important (I'm sure that they already have this in mind). If we at least get China on board, I can see AMP taking off.
To sum it all up, there's more demand for Synereo than for RChain and I don't know if Greg understands this or not but RChain NEEDS Synereo.
You think too much, now the project is a baby in mother's body, it still not even in the public world. Develop first, and stop dreaming about big pump. Keep on developing, no more dramas. But I think they will keep showing dramas. I have a valid point, the project still has a LOT of potential. I'm not being overly-optimistic, I'm just stating the facts. Laying down the facts of other social media and potential of a project does not define its future sucess. It is how much impact it can create to the world eco-system and right now Synereo with 2 years of development is far away from what is promised. What will make the breaking point to shift from fb to synereo ? Better privacy ? Is that only the benefit of it ? One thing that crypto taught me is, believe in a project but not to the point that you go die hard or all in on it until true development is really made! I'm not defining it's future success though. I'm glad that you've learned a lot about crypto! I definitely believe in Synereo and I'm convinced that the team will follow through with it's future roadmap. The two years of no working code - you can blame Mr. Rchain (Greg) for that one.

One of Qtum’s growth strategies is the mobile telecommunications market. There is a vast amount of consumers that may not be aware of digital currencies, but could be introduced to Qtum by means of a viral marketing campaign. This does not mean that the average user isn’t accustomed to paying with their mobile devices. In China, Wechat leverages their userbase of over half a billion people, to make payments for everyday goods and services. Just like Apple Pay, they make a quick scan with their device at the point of sale, and the money is deducted from their account. We plan to build Quantum applications that integrate into the popular messaging platforms like: Wechat, WhatsApp, Viber, and so forth. We call this the Qtum “Go Mobile” strategy.
Though mobile market has big space to be filled up that does not mean you overlook existing marketspace. There must be some brainstorming behind focusing on the mobile market, which we are not aware of. There are lot of users who don't want their mobiles to be part of coin payments. Who would buy digital currencies and store them safe with paper wallet or hardware wallet. Hope you could think this part as well. Best of luck for your project. " One of Qtum’s growth strategies..."

This seems like a good investment for speculators who would like to "play it safe". I personally would like to ride the Bitcoin/Ethereum wave - I love the volatility!

THIS. This is exactly what I've been looking for in all of the ICO's that came out this past year. I like how these devs think, smart team.

We already have Monero for "anonymous currency with ring signatures". Isn't this a little redundant? Or is there a significant difference between the two coins that I'm not seeing here.
I think competition is great and it might keep devs on their toes and feet and try to make things better. Isn't your statement a bit like saying, "oh, we have BMW so we don't need Mercedes". Why should consumers settle for one brand when someone else might improve on the the concept. Free market and competition is healthy, so go SPEC and prove them wrong... You're right. I think I'd just prefer that there's one of every idea or innovation so it makes it easier for me to know what ICO's/projects are worth keeping my eye on, but no, there's nothing wrong with competition. It sounds like a good project from what I'm reading here. I'm still a huge Monero enthusiast and if I happen to hear about Spectrecoin on the news a couple years from now, I'll be really surprised. xD
