Ok so I have done my first project, as it can be seen here:
http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=userpage&username=apbyte

but I don't see myself in http://75.134.182.16:10506/statsAuth

How big is delay before I should appear in this list ?
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN]Curecoin beta pool test - sign up now - current max only 50 users for beta! on: July 24, 2013, 04:14:13 PM
how does it work exactly,

I have signed up with both using username cryptocure.

I see i am solving

You are contributing to project 8074

11982 points per day?

i am part of team  224497

i don't see anything happening in the pool though?

i don't see anyone else in the pool either though only curecoin ?

This is still beta and I think something might happen when you will complete that project, eg 100% of your job part will be done then maybe pool will be able to read you as contributor and show in its stats.

I should hit 100% on first project soon, will report here what happens after that

Since I haven't done folding for quite sometime, how many points per day are you guys hitting on your system?

1 x i5-3570k
1 x i3-2100

CPU only: 12.5k ppd.

CPU i5-2500 shows 6413 ppd

http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=userpage&username=apbyte

146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Restart of Quantumcoin (SUCCESSFULLY RELEASED) on: July 24, 2013, 10:45:31 AM
Chain still active at very low hash rate. Hope it will hit an exchange some time to get it out of his 100-year sleep.

And why in the world would any exchange be interested in a coin without a solid user base? It takes two to trade, you know. This coin needs much better promotion and attention, or it will fade out and die, unless it hasn't already.

I think it has, I was one of early miners and have removed wallet from my pc, there is no activity or promotion since very beginning.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] United Open Currency Solutions (UNOCS) - Feather, Phenix and Worldcoin on: July 24, 2013, 10:37:30 AM
All you guys trolling need to find something better to do with your time. Obviously you have too much of it since you hang around here bashing all day.

At least the development team is putting in an effort to make something happen.

A few days delay won't mean jack a year form now when these coins are 10x their present value.

You need to open your eyes (if you're not a shill account, of course).

THE TROLL RETURNS AGAIN. What a great movie it is.  Roll Eyes Grin

UNOCS fiasco makes people act weird, simply because they worry that they bought in on great scam.

And yes at this point there is no evidence that anything will be released, or will not be released, so both sides are just opinions :-)

No I don't agree if you see the previous developments done by them.

I bet people thought the same when they invested with Madoff  Roll Eyes

I can't do anything for you buddy. Your mind is only set to see the negative things. If that is the case then BTC is also a scam.

I am just saying that at this point there is no evidence, so calling people Trolls just because their opinion is opposite is not cool.

My opinion at this point is that something will be released. But you can't blame people who think otherwise, because there is no proof that their opinion is wrong!

Also don't forget about possibility that people and developers have good intentions, but seeing how much time it takes maybe they are running into problem which is impossible to solve at this point of digital technologies possibilities.

I joined folding@Home project and currently with GPU mining cure for Alzheimer's Disease and with CPU testing new methods for protein folding Smiley
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN]Curecoin beta pool test - sign up now - current max only 50 users for beta! on: July 24, 2013, 07:58:36 AM
Registered at both as apbyte

This is great idea!

Can you clarify bit more how is this supposed to work? Will I see something in curecoin pool when I finish work on project in folding or it should show something while it is still in progress?
I am currently running full speed both GPU and CPU on them and one of projects is already 3% done, should I see some shares in pool ?

I think people are simply jumping on the train, as DMD will be listed on coins-e and difficulty just dropped
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] CasinoCoin - The Premiere Coin for Online Casino Gaming | No Premine! on: July 23, 2013, 07:25:25 PM
how did this coin get listed on crypsy after 4 days.. special interests?

hundreds of people mining it and 100+ mh/s network rate all 4 days, people like this coin and they use it, and that is reason why it got on exchange so soon. It all depends on community.

Of course new coins don't get listed if there are 5-10 miners only, that is not enough to say that community is using coin (and usage of coin is primary rating point if it should or should not get on exchange)

155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] CasinoCoin - The Premiere Coin for Online Casino Gaming | No Premine! on: July 23, 2013, 07:10:22 PM
  • 50 coins per block, halves every 3,153,600 blocks (~3 years)
  • fair launch, absolutely no premine

Mining started with difficulty 0.0 and 35 coins as reward > http://casinocoin.blockexplore.com:2750/chain/CasinoCoin?hi=19&count=20
3 and half minutes after start, reward dropped to 5 coins > http://casinocoin.blockexplore.com:2750/chain/CasinoCoin?hi=729&count=20

25,165 coins instamined in that period equal 2.5165 BTC at 0.0001 rate. Instamining continued for some more time, 100k+ coins generated.

So much about bullshits in your starting post.

There was announcement for day or so before coin actually went live. And announcement was full with shiny well created images and screenshots of new coin and wallet that made people think that this could go somewhere.

Everything was prepared, we were able to register at pool before coin was released.

It wasn't instamined, simply a lot of people waited for ticker to hit 0 and wallet downloads were enabled and we all jumped in, I mean a lot, I was one of them and I got quite many coins, but there were really big numbers of people mining starting first second and they had.
We all got share of that amount you described above, yes I remember 35 coin reward at beginning and then it was dropped to 5 coins and further went up by 5 coins every x blocks. I think it reached 50 coins per block only yesterday, or day before.

This was all announced and everyone was informed ... so don't attack coin simply because you are too late, or didn't see announcement post
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [XPM] Noobproof Primecoin All-In-One EZ Setup Script on: July 23, 2013, 02:53:02 PM
What is approximate amount of primecoins you can mine in a day by using 512MB/1core ?

0 or less.  In a week or month you may get some. However if you ran it for just 1 day i would predict zero coins.

Then wat is the point in paying 5$ for this ? Cheesy
