1401  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bakit kaya walang Blockchain project na based sa bansa natin? on: December 03, 2022, 07:17:10 AM

1402  Local / Pilipinas / Re: 24 hours challenge bitcoin use only sa boracay. on: November 19, 2022, 06:01:35 AM

Boracay is bitcoin capital of Philippines? Let see if magawa ba nila itong bitcoin capital of the world.

Cheesy

Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/union-bank-of-the-philippines-launches-bitcoin-and-ethereum-trading

1404  Local / Pilipinas / Re: NEW MARCOS ADMIN, OPEN TO DIGITAL CURRENCY on: October 30, 2022, 12:11:29 PM
In supporting of this thread, ito po yung latest now, Gusto ni PBBM na agarang gumawa ng batas upang maging digital na ang mga transaction sa gobyerno upang maiwasan ang delay, at corruption, kaya sa tingin ko we are on the right track dahil naiintindihan ng Presidente ang technology ng blockchain.

source::  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnx4olT8k2s

As far as I know the previous administration(even before the Duterte Administration) ay pinlano na ang digitalization kaya lang since corrupt ang mga nakaupo ay naging half-baked ito. Hopefully this time ay mapatupad ng maayos at magamit ng matino ang budget for this Bill.

Yung willingness talaga ni Binance na magkuha ng VASP license is a good sign for us kasi I really support regulation ng mga exchanges.

Mabilis kasi mag cashout sa Binance dahil sa P2P at saka safe tayo dahil sa escrow system nila. Sa Coins PH kasi every year kailangan mo mag comply sa enhanced verification procedure in which okay naman yan, kaso lang matagal ang process ng verification like between 8 to 15 days. Pero good thing yung akin is okay na ang verification and back to normal. PDAX is also another option and hopefully yung Paymaya mag allow na ng cash-in mula sa crypto wallets at exchanges instead of just investing within their platform lang.

At saka there’s KuCoin and OKX na meron ding P2P for Philippine customers. But syempre, I don’t want the good ol’ Binance to be banned sa Pinas.

Binance pa rin talaga compared to other exchange.
1406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Mining Cause Global Warming? on: July 04, 2021, 09:59:33 PM
I don't have a lot of knowledge when it comes to global warming and how does it work or how much heat is needed in order to make it even worse over time.

But seeing how things work, I already tried mining Ethreum in the past years and I know how GPU could heat up or some other mining hardware, that hardware could easily blow up some hot air.

Still, I don't think it is going to cause global warming even though it is already a problem in the past years, probably it might contribute because there are so many mining farms around the world but there are even more things that generate more greenhouse gases like for example burning fossil fuels which is probably the main cause of global warming.
1407  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Centralized and kyc platforms can pose risks in the future on: July 04, 2021, 09:30:33 PM
Maybe the main concern here was the legitimateness of a platform, asking for a KYC or being centralized was a big responsibility since they have big information of their users that could easily be used in other agendas.

There are a lot of people who hate centralization and definitely not willing to do KYC in a platform just for their services or maybe willing to chance the platform if it is asking for a KYC.

It could easily be used in a crime but I guess you could still do it if there are platforms that you ready trust its security, there are a lot of exchanges that get hacked even some big exchanges has a history of hacks so it's really a big risk giving your data to centralized platforms.
1408  Economy / Economics / Re: What role will Bitcoin play in the face of superpowers in the future? on: July 04, 2021, 09:15:10 PM
I have known Bitcoin for a while, and I think I understand the value and significance of Bitcoin. But from an economic point of view, I would like to know what role Bitcoin will play in the face of superpowers like China and the United States in the future.

El Salvador has adopted Bitcoin as its country's legal tender. Panama, Colombia and Uruguay also seem to be interested in Bitcoin. Indeed, for some countries that have been unable to control their own economic development through macro-control, Bitcoin gives them another choice. When the volatility of fiat currency in one's own country has far surpassed that of Bitcoin, the biggest shortcoming of Bitcoin as a fiat currency no longer exists. This is a success in the history of Bitcoin, but how about superpower?

Now, the United States regards Bitcoin as an investment asset. China allows Bitcoin to be held but prohibits mining and trading. The world's largest and second-largest economies have very different attitudes towards Bitcoin. But as we all know, Satoshi Nakamoto's definition of Bitcoin is "A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System", and now people seem to be more inclined to define it as a reserve asset or a price anchor. But for the superpower, neither of these two definitions seems impossible. If Bitcoin is used as a currency for daily use, it will undoubtedly destroy the status of the RMB or the US dollar. If Bitcoin is used as a store of value similar to gold, due to the decentralization of Bitcoin, it is difficult to hoard a large amount of Bitcoin together. I am not a student of economics, and Bitcoin seems to be of little use to the current economic system.

I guess that in the coming decades, more and more African or Latin American countries will tend to use Bitcoin as their legal currency, which can help them resist the erosion of the US dollar. However, the Super Congress insisted on issuing its own legal currency and controlling its exchange rate with Bitcoin. I guess that for China, the final result may be to ask the public to hand over its bitcoin to the country and give it the equivalent value of CNY.

Probably for now bitcoin is not that important when it comes to the economy of a country since a country could totally operate without bitcoin because it has its own fiat currency that's operating.

I think bitcoin could potentially be a national currency as well that is going to affect the economy of a country just like what El Salvador do I think it is also possible to do it in other countries when El Salvador already did it.

It is not just some superpower but it might be a part of the growth of a country if one country started to support bitcoin as a national currency does The potential of bitcoin was just so high at this point since we already see one country to do it.
1409  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will Bitcoin go? on: July 04, 2021, 09:00:35 PM
It looks like Bitcoin's been on a constant bloodbath, struggling to get past the $40k mark. China, Elon Musk, among many other things, have caused the crypto market to go bearish. At the time of this writing, Bitcoin sits at around $33k per coin. A couple of days ago, Bitcoin was valued at $31k per coin. This is a good opportunity for those who missed on the train to grab coins at discounted prices. But it's a terrible situation for those who bought some Bitcoin when it was close to the $60k mark.

I'm wondering how low will Bitcoin go in price within the next couple of months? Will we likely see Bitcoin heading back to sub $20k prices? Or it is too late already? Do you plan to buy more Bitcoin and "hodl" strong? Or do you plan to sell it all? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley

In my opinion, the market price of bitcoin was not like to drop below 30k$ because for me that was just too low for the price of 1 bitcoin, I would definitely buy one when the market price drop below even at 25k$ because the potential profit in the future of this kind of investment was just too high. Below 20k$ was just impossible because people just see how bitcoin could explode when it surpasses the old ATH record around 20k$ so probably there will be a lot of experience traded that will hold it for sure.

Probably it could stay a few months up to ber months but might be even more, we just don't know the even time it could easily happen, but I'm not gonna be surprised will be bitcoin price drop below 30k$ or even if it exploded to 70k$-100k$ in the coming months because we all know how bitcoin is different in another cryptocurrency I think it will reach even 200k$ at the end of the year.

https://www.espn.com/chalk/story/_/id/31732427/london-based-bettor-wins-136-million-six-leg-parlay-harris-english-putt

This is the most insane winning parlay I've ever seen.  And with the last leg resting on a golf match that went deep into a playoff.  Would have had a heart attack watching myself

Best parlay ypu ever won or seen a story on?

That just crazy that was really a lucky win the odd of 90,396-1 odds was just too high to win, maybe for some people doing this could be worth it? what do you think?

In my country, there are so many people betting on the lottery hoping for a chance that they might win the lottery and get millions or even billions to be rich at some point.

I just tried to bet at this lottery one time for fun but I think it's not worth it since the percentage of winning was just too low and you could bet until you die and still not win even once, but you could also be lucky but for me, it's not worth it. I just save my money and invest in something like a cryptocurrency that is worth it.
1411  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin a good investment in this pendamic situation? on: July 04, 2021, 08:25:17 PM
Crypto currency is one of the best investment platform in whole world. Where bitcoin is more profitable and secure investment which we have already proven. So in this pendamic situation those who wants to hold an asset that's resistant to inflation may find investing in bitcoin will be a good idea. Because Where the central banks of any country have the permission to print infinite amount of fiat currencies on the other hand the quantity of bitcoin is fixed in number and limited by its supply capped at 21 million. I think demand is more than supply is applies for bitcoin so in this pendamic situation bitcoin will be a good investment.

I think it's a good thing to start investing in bitcoin especially in this pandemic because you could theoretically earn a good amount of profit in bitcoin or cryptocurrencies.

But at this time of the pandemic, I don't really think that you should invest in cryptocurrency if you don't really have the extra money to invest because investing in cryptocurrency still has its risk so you could always lose the money you invest.

In my experience, my 300$ just exploded and I made a good amount of profit in just a small amount of time so it's totally worth it in my experience to invest but it could be different for you.
1412  Economy / Speculation / Re: 22 july, BTC 20k$ or 70k$? on: July 04, 2021, 08:08:50 PM
Hello BTT Users,

As You all Know That Elon Musk Has a Great Role in Current Btc Manipulation, and as tesla bot acept bitcoin btc more due to bitcoin energy issue.
Now A Big Meeting is going On 22 July 2021, Between Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey, So what can happen in this meeting? As Jack always try to do good for bitcoin sp he will Convence elon and
Tesla will again Accept Bitcoin? Btc will got o 20k$ or 70k$?
As I am Perosnally Thinking that we can't Ignore this meeting,
what you people can think? Share Your views

At this point of bitcoin we know the market was just dumped and experiencing a correction, can probably most of us will think that bitcoin will explode in the coming months which is I think could possibly happen as well.

But in my opinion, it's either 20$ or 70k$? but I think the market price is just stabilized at this moment so probably the market price is just gonna stay at 30$-40k$ for a few months probably until September or October.

I don't think bitcoin could drop at 20k$ at this point because the potential of bitcoin was just so high and when the price drop below 30k$ a lot of investors will easily buy bitcoin for sure.
1413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth buying other cryptocurrencies other than bitcoin? on: July 04, 2021, 07:49:27 PM
I heard about Bitcoin and ethereum around the same time. Bitcoin was I believe around $15k and ETH was below $200. I couldn't afford to buy 1btc so I didn't buy any and I didn't buy ethereum because I believed Bitcoin was the only genuine crypto currency to buy. But since my discovery of this forum I have found members who believe different. Looking back I see I have lost on both fronts and wasted an opportunity. So my question is this which is more important factor to consider before buying a coin, do you buy because of the technology of the project and what it has to offer, the utility of the token or the news?

I think most of us have a goal of making a profit that is why we are investing in cryptocurrency or bitcoin, the technology is just a perk of bitcoin and cryptocurrency but not really the reason why we are buying it.

There is a part of it since we buy cryptocurrency that has great technology like faster transactions, high security, etc. but the main goal of it is to make a profit with the reason of its utility or we believed that it could be useful in the future.

There is some token like Dogecoin which doesn't have a utility but still able to get a good market price in the market so I think there is a lot of reasons why we buy other coins. Bitcoin technology is already old but still top 1 cryptocurrency until today.
1414  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Top 5 reasons to trust Bitcoin on: July 04, 2021, 06:29:14 PM
This Monday for my weekly video I made a quick list of reasons that Bitcoin is trustworthy. This is mostly geared towards new users.

https://youtu.be/m74t8gBjtcY

I think I kinda agree with what he says, and I think people should know this reason since at this times people don't really trust bitcoin even in my country there are still a lot of people who think that this cryptocurrency or bitcoin is a big joke. I mean yes it's risky but because of this reason we should at least give the credit and support bitcoin.

In my country which is not exposed to technology mostly the elders probably will not believe this kind of investment that is why a lot of people in the past year do not hold or buy bitcoin when it is still cheap. Because they believed that when it comes to the internet or online money or online things it is all scams.

When it comes to investment I think bitcoin is the best one to try even though there is a risk, there are still disadvantages but in my experience, it is worth it.
1415  Economy / Economics / Re: Why should i invest in bitcoin or other cryptos ? on: July 04, 2021, 05:51:30 PM
Why should i invest in bitcoin or other cryptos ?

If you buy land, each year even if you don't work it you get weeds ... if you dry them you can use them to make a fire ...and in turn that generates energy ...

Meaning: that piece of land is giving you a dividend each year .

Where's my dividend if i invest in crypto ?

You could never go wrong if you buy land instead of cryptocurrency, buying land was always a win as long as you consider the location and it's a good spot, the value would always go high I just not sure in other countries.

The profit in cryptocurrency like bitcoin is different, let's just say it's faster compared to investing in land, after a few years you land probably gonna would even more but in bitcoin it could easily be x10 or even more after a few years.

When you have funds and you buy land that's a good thing, but you could probably afford 3 or more land if you invest in first in bitcoin and then just buy land after taking a profit in a few years but consider that the land was also increasing its value.

Reasons To Leave Bitcointalk?

I think I have found my home here, especially for the Indonesia Sub-Board, I have learned a lot of new lessons and experiences in this forum.

The people are very happy to help each other, Talking about the reason for leaving Bitcointalk maybe the reason is my own death. Cry

Btw, Thanks To Everyone Who Has Helped Me Wink

I mean if you're here in the forum for a long time and you already dedicated a lot of time to the forum or you already love here it's kinda difficult to just leave the forum without any reason.

When you're also trading the forum is a big help and even though I don't do a lot of questions or posts, I always answer the question but the forum is always handy when I don't understand something in some wallets like Electrum or when I need to have some opinions on an exchange or about my trading.

I think the common reason is just lack of time since we also have our own jobs and not everyone has the time to keep doing a post or give some time on the forum. And for some high ranks, I guess death.
1417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: July 03, 2021, 06:31:04 PM
Some used to pacify themselves with the term it is their fate to loss in gambling. Some say it is the lack of control that makes them loss big. Here I'm taking this into discussion relative to the game - Dice.

Same as this some used to mention winning as fate and some term the same as luck. I believe win out of dice is trick, and right exit strategy.

What is the truth in this regard, because users like me are always go lack of control even when luck is on our side. End of the day used to pacify thyself terming it as our fate and move on. Hope you guys don't do this mistake. Cry Cry

I guess a lot of gamblers lose a lot of money because of their lack of control when they keep winning the bet we tend to continue betting thinking that we are gonna continue to win.

Maybe fate doesn't count because you could play the whole day and just win straight if you really lucky and probably can go lose straight without even winning even though you might have a 50% chance of winning.

You could always lower the chance of losing if you know your limitations and lower the money you could lose, continue to gambling when winning probably is not a good idea since you could probably lose it all in the end.
1418  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Next 10 years of Bitcoin? on: July 02, 2021, 08:59:07 PM
What can we expect from the NEXT 10 years of Bitcoin? speculation in price? Will Bitcoin survive ?

Because of the recent news of El Salvador to bitcoin, I'm thinking it is possible for bitcoin to be a currency or a national currency, at first I'm thinking it's just suitable as an investment and it is and not really for spending or as a real currency because there were just so many disadvantages of using bitcoin.

But because of this start and what El Salvador have done, we now know that it is possible to happened and for sure a lot of countries could possibly do it as well, making the demand even higher and increasing the market price of bitcoin in the future.

Thinking about the billions of people and businesses that could possibly use bitcoin in the future I think the potential when it comes to market price was just too high and could even surpass a million dollars in the future.
1419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador started BTC campaign in their country on: July 02, 2021, 05:47:06 PM
That's almost 3500 BTC to giveaway. Biggest giveaway + ever first by a government. That sounds pretty cool. This is certainly a big step. El Salvador have 6.45 million people out of whom, there should be at least 4 million getting the airdrop (giveaway). That's pretty big move.
Also, wondering how much of it will get out of the circulation.

Wow I didn't know that was the number but it kinda makes sense with the 35$ and their population, probably not all of their people are gonna received the 35$ but its sure is a big amount of bitcoin to giveaway.

I think this is a good move for the country, but one problem I can see here is if bitcoin has a high fee of course most people will not use it for sure because it just not gonna make sense and if your practical your going to use the currency that is more reliable so probably their fiat currency.

But I guess this campaign will be a lot of help since they could now start, and when that happened maybe they were also going to see the beauty of how bitcoin works and its profit.

1420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The right time is now! on: June 27, 2021, 09:57:24 PM
Do you think now is not the right to buy some important currencies?
Take a good look these coin below:

1. BTC
2. ETH
3. BNB
4. LTC
5. TRX
6. LINK
7. AME
8. DOT
9. EOS
10. WPP

We have been yelling for the right time all this while but we still wanna miss some quality opportunities banging on our door step, don't be surprised what will happen next and many will still say "where were me" when i gat all the chance to buy.

Note:
I just listed few coin i m holding so you can do your research and take your risk!

This is always a thing when the market is down like this people are just afraid to buy because they are afraid that the price could continue to drop and that could be the end of cryptocurrency blah blah blah.

When the market price is too high people are mostly buying because they see the price continue to go up, and then in the end just end up losing a big amount of their investment just because they can't wait.

It is the best time to buy since the market is just too low, compared to the past years the demand these days are higher so cryptocurrency could easily pump at a much higher price in the future. When people realize it that they should invest in cryptocurrency its already too late mostly the price is already too high and then the it just repeat the dump and people lose money because they get FOMO when the price is exploding.
