MY Supernet still not shown up from BTE-R but the withdrawal is showing as processed on their site, all my Neodice and other dividends have come through ok. I'm sending them to a NXT wallet. any help please it is over 48 Hours now.
let us all hope they will process things...
1402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitcoinDark (BTCD)--Teleport/Telepathy/Ramchains/SuperNET Core on: March 06, 2015, 03:45:08 AM
I put error checks for outofband pricematches, so they are rejected.
block 373464 has txid 14565979118655674082, which is the first successful trigger tx for an InstantDEX trade.

I did 72NXT for 1 coinoUSD

1424647629882861488 is the ask, it is in the unconfirmed trades along with 8698983672084812764 for the fee and 11440344300163450416 is the matching bid.

These tx are done for a few minutes now, even though NXT is on a long block. so when the new block comes in they should all get confirmed. yes and they just did!

I think the USSA you remember is no longer
complaining to the apparatchiks wont do any good. they just follow their orders

InstantDEX is about to be released. Hence the price drop. The more features are released the more people like to sell.

It is part of the buy high and sell low strategy. So it is not based on anything rational, unless the point is to create uncertainity

Good point. We are sliding have slid into a hierarchical top-down hell.
fixed it for you

Not surprising.

I am sure that extensive studies have proven that if you dont have 6 months utility bills and deviate in any way from accepted responses, then you are mostly likely some sort of criminal. After all criminals cant get utility bills for some reason. At least that must be the logic as nothing else makes sense why this idiotic policy is being forced globally by the USSA upon all other countries. Even ones that aimed to become like Switzerland used to be (Uruguay) and of course the Switzerland of the past is no more.

guilty until proven innocent in the USSA and its territories. coming to a country near you

After much troubles:

6896683649204647244 which triggered all three trades in block 32701 14538633590799539701

13096393609126587603 and 4709644894619028652 and 3507227284564623028

The first one was a 2.5 NXT fee that acted as a trigger for the other three. One of them was a 2.5 NXT fee for the other acct and the remaining two are NXT AE orders that exactly matched each other, so of course only half got filled as it wasnt in between the bid/ask like it should be.

So still a bug with choosing the right price, but this is small matter considering what I have had to deal with so far. It completed as quickly as I  posted the curl command on one window and before I could click to the other window, the trade was finalized!

Not out of the forest of complications yet, but with the makeoffer2 all legs (and halflegs) are matched NXT AE bid/ask so solving this is 90%.

the important thing to note is that with this approach, the worst thing that happens is what happened with this trade, eg. one side gets their half filled and the other side is just posting a bid on the AE. When I fix the price matching bug, this will be a very rare case, but even in such rare cases (block longer than 10 or 20 minutes, evil block generator not accepting your half and then draining their acct, race condition where trigger is executed but some or all dependent tradelegs dont get filled)

When I get the jnxt block time predictor then the timing issue will be gone and with both sides essentially instantly negotiating the trade sequence, the evil block generator is the case most likely. However why would a hacker bother with messing with half a trade when it is just a marketrate swap? Especially since the cost is not being able to make any new blocks for almost 2 days and it only works if they have a trade happening for a block they generate.

So there are no hostage scenarios that are possible with the timelocks on multisigs or one transfer done without any compensation, and with the worst that can happen being an unmatched halftrade I feel comfortable with this trade clearing. there are cases for assets without decimals where the original makeoffer method is required to achieve effective decimal pricepoints and its advantage is also that it doesnt require any NXT in reserve to conduct the trades. I think I will need to cap the value of such makeoffer trades just to prevent any large exposure to the above rare case and most assets have decimals so this is not a large percentage of assets.

Now onto fixing the matched price and debugging the more complicated cases.

James

P.S. I realized the pricematch "bug" was because I used a hardcoded price from a couple days ago. so this is pilot error, but I should automate the price selection

NEWS FLASH: I saw an interesting URL today, I sent out feelers and things moved quickly. There is a very good chance for early bird investment available. Not available via dividend, this is requiring BTC. PM me if you are interested. Whales only for now. more details will be sent via PM

1409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitcoinDark (BTCD)--Teleport/Telepathy/Ramchains/SuperNET Core on: March 04, 2015, 11:57:56 PM
I knew it would be tricky to get the makeoffer2 fully working, but I did finally manage to get the simplest case to almost work...

Many details I knew about, but didnt realize its impact on complexity, eg. NXT requirement of 1000 NXT for referenced tx, asset decimals creating cases where AE cant be used at fractional prices, etc.

So it looks like both methods of trade clearance using NXT AE will need to be used, each with its advantages and disadvantages. For assets with reasonable number of decimals the price granularity is not a problem, so just need to have enough NXT on deposit. For the cases where this is not the case, then the makeoffer direct swap will need to be used and for that virtually any pricepoint is possible even with things that have no decimals. The downside is it is open to attack by the generator of the next block, but it takes a lot of effort to setup and the timing has to be perfect and they would lose the ability to generate a block for almost 2 days, so for smaller amount tx it would be fine.

tl:dr as expected this part isnt easy, but making progress

Any idea on when SuperNET is "officially" launching?
In some senses it has already launched, in other senses it is not complete yet. There are many independent projects, which will complete independently, so it is not possible to know specific completion dates.

SuperNET is a decentralized project and even I dont know all the things that are happening.

Personally I am currently debugging the InstantDEX core and there are several UI being developed and next week one (or more) of them will go into testing. After that I will activate Tradebots and then Teleport becomes possible, with Telepathy part of the network security enhancements.

Due to the recent exchange hacks, I have prioritized InstantDEX to be fully completed as the priority, so depending on what bugs arise, this will delay the other parts. However, I feel it is quite important to have a decentralized exchange that looks and feels like a central exchange.

I have been working ~16hrs per day for a year+ and I will continue doing this until all my core components are done. I doubt anybody else can get this done any faster and I expect that I will have most all my projects in maintenance mode in a couple months.

But this is just my projects, we have FreeMarket that is already out, NeoDice that is in beta testing and others like SkyNET and Pangea, that will also start coming online over the next few months. I just cant speak to the exact timing of them

I know you want a specific exact date when it is officially released, but SuperNET is not a coin, it is not a single project. nxter.org has 13 SuperNET newsletters that gives an overview of what all is going on. I didnt even talk about the work happening within each coin.

James

tl:dr buying the rumor and selling the news might not be the best trading strategy for SuperNET

Hi, anyone already succesfull with unity withdrawels from bter? I am waiting couple hours now, nothing happens. Only thing I see is this silly statement;
"BTR deduction: You have 0 available BTR.
According to the rule, 143.443525 BTR per UNITY will be deducted from your account until 0. "

WTF is this nonsense?

Does this mean my withdrawels are not going because I don't have these idiot BTR points?

if you used to have a UNITY balance and it is now 0, you should see it as a pending transaction. It seems to take 12 to 24 hrs as they are doing it manually.

the BTR can be sold for CNY, but it gets used when you withdraw. however if you dont have any, the withdraws still go through

Why i cant see the BBR tile on the front page of the new SuperNET 1.2 beta client? Is boolberry supported anymore by SuperNET?
cryptonote and multisig dont mix too well... and the initial SuperNET wallet is using MGW which requires multisig. The BBR will be integrated as part of the Teleport onramp/offramp, which requires custom code for this, which I will be finalizing after (during) the Tradebots

Some questions regarding the new SuperNET v1 client:
  • where are the vpn, btcd, opal, ... addresses stored? I suspected the blockchain, but found nothing there
  • if I transfer btcd to the supernet wallet btcd address, I get really superBTCD assets, while the coins are stored in multisignature accounts. What about staking?
  • in future the SuperNET client will allow access to InstantDEX (think so), will InstantDex handle with real coins or with mgw assets?

the deposit addresses are stored locally in your node, plus all three MGW nodes. Also as soon as you make the first deposit, then there is a record in the blockchain.

multisig staking is a problematic thing, so it doesnt stake.

yes. eventually both, initially just with the MGW assets

Ok, thank you.
What about storing the private coin keys encrypted in the blockchain? Then the client could handle with coins, without the assets. Just a thought...
while it would be possible to store the coin's privkeys on the blockchain, to enable usage of the coin will require the coin's daemon.

it is an interesting idea to do this and I believe the BTC electrum wallet for SuperNET will store the seed as an encrypted data on the NXT blockchain.

Is there anyone successfully withdraw Nxt Assets from BTER? I tried to withdraw around 30.5 NeoDICE DICE to my NXT account, it showed "submit permitted" but nothing shows in my Nxt account after one hour. Hope this is just a delay from BTER.
it seems to take some hours, I think they are manually processing each withdraw

Added getallsignals and getsignal API, more just stubs for the GUI to use in anticipation of having many trade signals

Ok, found it.
My FritzBox router was configured to block numeric IPs. After allowing 178.63.60.131, it works now.
Is there any other IP used?

Thanks

you can get status for each coin: http://178.63.60.131/init/?requestType=status&coin=BTCD
this is where the GUI gets the status, so if you are able to get this, but the GUI not, then there is some strange issue.

Are you saying the NXT is not running? if you are behind proxies it needs to be configured for that, but I am not sure the exact settings needed.

Also, to get a deposit address it is not needed for anything else to be running. So HTML only should work for that

James
that is the bridge node, so other than ports to run the daemons, should be all, but the coins they are using numeric IP everywhere

The same with version 1.2b
I tried it several times.
In nxt.log I cannot find anything interesting.
I tried it on Linux and Windows, with oracle java8 and openjdk 7/8
The same in any case.
How can create an extended log?
Is something to configure? I just started the run.sh ...

edit:Server status is not available...

Repost from SuperNET forum:

Tried to test the new SupernetV1.1 beta.
In the basic console I got "Error getting deposit address" errors (BTCD, Bitstar, Opal, Vericoin, VpnCoin).
Any ideas?

I just opened SuperNET wallet with a new account and got all the deposit addresses in less than a minute, so the service is working well. Have you tried to log in again? It's probably a simple case of bad timing, since occasionally during this early beta stage one server may be down for a little bit (although my stats give 95%+ uptime for the service) and generating the multisig deposit addresses requires all nodes to be active.

So please try again, you should get your deposit addresses without problem. Right now the only acknowledged issue with the service is that VPN requires a patch from the coin developer for VPN SuperNET withdraws to work - other than that, all is working pretty good.
