1401  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [scalpers] Don't just join a moving train on: November 22, 2021, 11:57:54 AM
I got some of my crypto friends who are doing well with scalping but there are some experiences that they have made mistake in not closing a trade or setting a stop loss. It can give us quick decent profits if we are lucky. However, it’s a huge risk and not an ideal way of trading for newbies. Unless you put an amount that you can afford to lose no matter what happens, you can give it a try but at your own risk.
1402  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dont get sad over what could have been on: November 22, 2021, 05:05:26 AM
Hey guys! I wanted to compile a post from past and current information given to me by others and advice given to me by others.

If you had cryptos in the past and could have made lots, to kick yourself over it. If you get caught up over what could have been, you will go insane. So focus on the current time. Good luck!

Yes I had this feeling since the great Bitcoin crash of 2018. Not just one coin only. but a lot of them. Like I have a feeling of "I wish I could have taken profit before it goes down", or "I wish I could have hold that now than selling it early". The market is unpredictable and we just simply don't know when will it go up or down. That's the reality, and we just have to accept and move forward.
1403  Economy / Economics / Re: People tend not to move on: November 21, 2021, 04:52:22 PM
It's absolutely correct that home is where our heart is. However, not getting out of my comfort zone would make me feel complacent and always dependent on my parents. I was independent for most of 2019 where I lived in the country's capital region away from my home city (a 1+ hour plane ride) and I rented myself a condo unit. I did survived to prove that I can live on my own and even traveled few times abroad. But since the pandemic began, I came back home because of the extreme restrictions in the capital region and until now I didn't come back despite the cases are going down and restrictions are slowly loosened.
1404  Economy / Economics / Re: Will we see new ATH this year? on: November 21, 2021, 04:35:55 PM
Anything is possible and 2021 isn't done yet. We're still more than a month to go before the New Year. However, there are no promises or guarantees that we would see a new all-time high of BTC. We haven't touched $70k yet as of the moment, but from my perspective I can see that there's a good chance. Originally I want to see BTC reaching $100k before the year ends. Nothing is impossible, but don't expect too much for it to happen.
1405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if governments make Bitcoin centralized? on: November 21, 2021, 04:28:28 PM
Why would the government make BTC centralized? It's impossible as they didn't have the control of the transactions nor the "central core" wherever it is now or if it does exist. However, regulated crypto wallets and exchanges can be controlled and we don't have the full custody despite low trading fees and fast transactions.
1406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin City on: November 21, 2021, 04:06:57 PM
El Salvador have continued to take the lead in cryptocurrency adoption, first the country announced bitcoin as a legal tender some months ago and the latest is the official opening of a bitcoin city which will serve as a free trade zone that will house top exchanges and bitcoin mining farms. The president announced this project which is backed with a 1 billion dollars worth of bitcoin as a bond.

Looks like I just have to put El Salvador on my travel bucket list this time. It just gets even better since the president making Bitcoin as legal tender in their country. Although that there were mixed reactions from the citizens (and even Vitalik Buterin criticizing the decision), the important is that there's massive adoption and awareness of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in the country.

Looking forward to the Bitcoin City. It will be a brand new tourist attraction for crypto enthusiasts around the world.
1407  Other / Off-topic / Switching to low carb/keto diet on: November 20, 2021, 12:14:05 PM
I’ve began transitioning myself slowly to low carb/keto diet for at least 4-5 weeks. It was not easy though. Despite so many temptations and occasions, I’ve successfully avoided those foods and drinks that would ruin my diet and sticking to my goal. Discipline + crave endurance is the real test here.

I checked my weight last week it was alarming almost 85 kilos. Right now, I am at 81.8 kg. I limit myself to less than 50g of carbs consumption and likely more on protein and fiber.

Here’s my diet program recently:

Brunch (since I am a nocturnal worker and slept all morning) - 1 serving of meat (whether chicken, pork or fish) and 1 or 2 sunny side up eggs.
Snacks in between - Low fat coffee or any keto-type coffee/drinks, few pieces of peanuts
Dinner - Vegetable salad with few chunks of meat/chop suey/steamed vegetables/mongolian petite w/o carbs and hot green tea
Midnight - High fiber protein shake

I also take US-based high quality nutritional supplements for overall well being, liver health and cholesterol reduction. On top of that, I walk a lot after work to burn calories.

I’ve entirely cut off rice, bread, sweet desserts, soda, iced tea, ice cream, cakes and frappes. I usually drink water most of the time and sometimes freshly-squeezed lemon juice without sugar

My goal was to reach the threshold of below 74 kg since my ideal weight based on my height should be between 133 to 163 lbs.

You think my diet plan is good? Or if you can suggest something better, I’ll appreciate it coz’ I need more ideas. Thanks!

Man this is huge news!!! I'm going nuts on this!!! Although that I am not a fan of Los Angeles Lakers or Clippers, this is a history in the making!!! Now crypto adoption and mainstream will be accelerating even more.

1410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The US President New Restrictions on Crypto Businesses on: November 17, 2021, 04:55:40 AM
There are only two things that you can't escape in this world. Death and taxes.

In my opinion regarding the decline of the crypto prices after Biden's statement on crypto taxes, I think this bloodbath is going to be short-lived. To be honest, I'm happy because I can buy BTC and other cryptocurrencies at my targeted prices. Not sure if $59k is gonna be the new support here, but let's see where it ends up this week.
1411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What promising tokens should you buy in 2022? on: November 17, 2021, 04:44:30 AM
Hi, I would like to discuss altcoins with you. What coins are you considering buying for 2022? I have a whitelist of 20 coins, and among them, there are both very famous coins such as Dot, Atom and Cro, as well as rising tokens like Mina, Vega and Check Dot Token. There are good and promising developments behind all these tokens and I think in 2022 we will see good growth in these coins. What coins do you think are promising?

I would likely focus more on the following coins and tokens in 2022:

1. BTC
2. ETH
3. SOL
4. BNB
5. ADA
6. NWC
7. EXRD
8. VRA
9. AXS
10. MATIC

These are just my picks for next year to buy.
1412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do with 20,000 Dogecoins? on: November 17, 2021, 04:37:39 AM
Good afternoon,

I've been involved in Bitcoin for a few years, in 2014 while mining Bitcoin with ASIC I put for a while the graphs to mine Dogecoin, then as they worth hardly anything I forgot about them until a few days ago I got to thinking that maybe I had not changed them to Bitcoin (as I did with the rest of what I had mined).

The thing is that I started looking for the keys and I found 46,000 Dogecoins, I have changed 6000 to Shiba and I was thinking about changing another 20,000 to other Altcoins.

In principle it has occurred to me to put a part in Ether, another in Loopring and another in Solana and / or Cardano, also put a tiny part in DOGGGO in case the people who are following it make it go up to the moon.

Any opinion will be welcome.

I can also keep the Doges, I do not consider putting it in Bitcoin because I'm up to my eyebrows.

Thanks in advance for your wise advice.

Oh god this reminds me of holding 36,000 DOGE sometime in 2017. Despite that it's just a funny meme coin, I still regretted letting them go because of the sudden pump made by Elon boy. Could have made a lot more money if I were to hold those coins and sell them at an all-time high. It's still the most popular meme coin right now and it ain't going anywhere.
1413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can 1 Bitcoin buy in your country? on: November 16, 2021, 12:58:55 PM
As of this time, 1 BTC here in the Philippines could buy a big sized land property like this one below.

The picture above is fully mine which was taken by my phone’s camera last year. The location was in the mountain part where my family have rented a land space for us to build our rest house or cabin. However, we do have plans of fully purchasing this land in the near future.

The picture was originally have fighting cocks but now because of renting the land, we cleared it out and just simply planting vegetables.

It’s my dream to buy my own land using my own money from Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

1414  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: At what Bitcoin price do you think altseason will start? on: November 16, 2021, 12:41:10 PM
We cannot predict on what exact price of Bitcoin does the altcoin season would actually begin. The market is very unpredictable and we don’t know when will the price go down or up without warning.
1415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: RadiX bounty distribution on: November 16, 2021, 12:17:10 PM
Yes I was expecting the same thing. We’ve agreed to wait for a year to be paid for our efforts. I just hope that the team are keeping their promises to us. No doubt they are a reputable project and have seen the rise of it’s token value. Let’s just hope that they distribute our tokens as promised after a year of waiting.
1416  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: cryptocurrency trading is safe than forex trading on: November 15, 2021, 11:55:14 AM
Both forex and crypto trading aren’t safe whether if it’s bear, bull or kangaroo run. You will never be safe with either of them as they are unpredictable on when the prices go up or down without warning. Buy and HODL coins and tokens are probably much less riskier than day trading. Just saying man.
1417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need a movie about Bitcoin on: November 15, 2021, 11:22:39 AM
I would rather see a Bitcoin movie that promotes positivity rather than those movies who are using or referencing BTC for crimes, theft, violence, money laundering, etc. There’s one existing movie called “Crypto” starring Russell Crowe and I don’t like it to be honest as it promotes crypto in a bad way. A Bitcoin documentary promoting positivity about this coin should be also great!
1418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Are More Whales Moving Their BTC? on: November 15, 2021, 10:52:02 AM
Saw this on Twitter and wonder what it portends

https://twitter.com/ki_young_ju/status/1459856955841802243

The problem is that we don’t know their intentions whether to just simply move it or selling them for good. But mostly because of BTC’s surge into new heights, it made them decide to move their funds to another wallet or exchange.
1419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How you deal with your emotions after losing a lot of money on rug pulls? on: November 14, 2021, 12:27:04 PM
I know it isn’t easy for us to get over or move on with these rug pulls, but I wanna ask the community here. For the past few months, I’ve experienced the “expect the unexpected” moments without warning. To be honest, I have accumulated losses of more than $2,000 in failed meme coins, shitcoins, play-to-earn games that ended up being rug pulled.

I am aware of the risks and the amount that I can afford to lose, but it’s just that I find it hard to make that money back that I have hardly earned. But good thing I didn’t go all-in with my entire savings, and that’s a good thing. I just can’t resist myself from being emotional despite that I’m aware of the risks, and my heart was emotionally hurt too.

I wanna hear from you guys on how you deal with these rug pulls after losing huge amounts? Like how many days can you get back on track after being so emotional? Or what you’ve been doing in order to move on faster after you lost money on these rug pulls?
1420  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not meant 4everybody on: November 14, 2021, 12:16:12 PM
Yes trading is not for everyone. I’m not a day trader, but more of a long term holder. I occassionally buy a specific coin or token, holding until I wait for the price to go higher in order to sell for a profit. Of course one day I wanna be a day trader but I need to learn a lot of trading skills, techniques, etc.
