1401  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Other Alternatives to Borrowing Money to Start Trading on: May 24, 2023, 10:54:39 PM
For newbies, compounding a $10 crypto trading investment means reinvesting the profit from your initial $10 capital in the same asset, such as bitcoin, to generate an increase in returns over time. So the $10 may compound over time, and you can get $100 in returns. It requires patience, just as trading does.
Compounding certainly feels like a good idea, not one of the worst but much more better than the taking a loan. Although, it makes certain requirements of you, that you be good in your trades enough to make the profits you need from a $10 trading capital to be the equivalent of your desired capital for starting trading. J don't know how that is doable but, you could try!
It would take a professional trader with minimal mistakes or trading errors to come by such mistake and many more than most would often have a trading capital more than a $100 to trade with.
1402  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too late to start? on: May 24, 2023, 10:35:37 PM
recognition in overall entire world population.Recognition and adoption is still on the move.If you dont like on making yourself get behind and missed out some opportunities once again then you should really
get in since we are still early.
In other to recognise the potential bitcoin holds, you would do well and am not referring to the user of the above quote but, in general that, bitcoin has gained more recognition and users with each passing year. Individuals and organisations alike and that's something to look gorward to for a new world other, haven't been around for a decade and 3years.

People that are yet to buy into the idea might as well be doing what suits them best and I wouldn't want yo argue on that. Perhaps, they are playing it safe, investing only where they believe or see potentials and possibly for some, they don't have the spare funds to go in om a bitcoin investment but that's okay.

All I would like to say on that is that, they are missing out!
1403  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to speed up btc transfers on: May 24, 2023, 10:11:35 PM
On the mobile app, you cannot set the fees specifically, you can only choose from a range of low priority, medium or high, while on the desktop version you can choose the exact fee you wish to pay on the transactions.
Even on the mobile version of the Electrum wallet there are three options for fee estimation algorithms that you can choose: Static, Mempool and ETA (same as on the desktop version). If you choose a STATIC fee option, you can choose a fee within the range of 1 to 300 sat/vByte using the slider on the left. This gives you good control over the fee you wish to allocate for your transactions.
This is how it looks like with static: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 30, 50, 70, 100, 150 and 300 sat/vbyte. The higher it is, the lower the accuracy can be. Fee customization is better.
Isn't that the same thing? Having an adjustable fee even within a ranging system of 1,2,5,10...300 sat/vbyte. What other customisation can one need than that. Having to write a definite number number sat and not pick within a ranged system? I asked that to be the same thing.

It becomes a matter of choice on referring to other options to determine what better fee rate is good enough to apply during clogged and congested network situations.
Your as well opportuned to bump transactions and use the services of bitcoin accelerator to speed your transactions. These are option out there for users.
1404  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cashing out fiat in UK? on: May 24, 2023, 09:51:26 PM

This is your 4th thread you’ve started on the SAME subject!!

There is no need to keep starting new threads on exactly the same topic ??

PS Have a look at your trust page  -seems you have a bit of a trend Huh

Try bumping your older threads rather than starting new ones as your other threads may get reported to the mods as spam ?
Maybe a troll or maybe repetitions to beg merits. Hope to get luck and get merit.

jerry0 case. Similar style like @jerry0 but I don't imply @JamesDaniel90 is alt of @jerry0.
It evident enough that this is customary to OP and OP has got some fans already to display the inevitable on his or her trust page. Hopefully OP gets the message and turns a new live to that which has become of his or her approach towards the forum.

Though, it would have been a thing of interest to me on how these subject is handled as per converting crypto assets to its fiat equivalent over there. I think YUriy1991 had a good say on the matter and as much as it makes sense to some extent, a little more detailing would be nice.

Hopefully, the subject be useful to OP even as we beacon on OP to avoid making duplicate threads and bump existing onces instead.
1405  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Please, let's stop painting Nigerians bad on BTT on: May 24, 2023, 08:52:57 PM

1407  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is a new pandemic imminent? on: May 23, 2023, 11:51:19 PM
Who has officially canceled covid, I think this is a big turnover of money in healthcare, but there are many indicators that a new pandemic is possible. To what extent does this correspond to reality, measles is also multiplying, will the world be covered by new diseases on a large scale? Or is it an economic process?
And what indications might that be?

In our world with people engaging in several experiments and embarking on different expenditures, a lit could result and very unexpected once though, I don't think we would be seeing any pandemic within the next decade.
The covid already attained its aim and that's enough to bring nature to its balance for the while.
1408  Economy / Economics / Re: Is risky to invest this period on: May 23, 2023, 11:48:00 PM
A thought to myself upon seeing this thread although I don't go own with it is that,

It's aways risky wherever you invest. Maybe if you think of it that way, no one would really be looking out gor best times.

Investing in a dip:
You get the idea that it's going to dip some more or gor those that gets really scared, you feel its all crashing down.
Investing while the bulls arr gaining momentum;
You get the impression that, its not fully a bullish trend and the bears can come in to pull price down some more.
Investing in a bull market:
You feel your doing it wrong and ought to have waited plus, you would be buying at an ATH or around that point and might not be patient enough to get profits on it.

The best idea is to ignore all these and just DCA with the mindset of hodling for a long time.
1409  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Importance of entrepreneur in school curriculum on: May 23, 2023, 11:42:27 PM
Well I think entrepreneurship is a program within the tertiary institution curriculum. It's a course for the 300L first semester. Where students gets to pull funds together, make value added products and market them. Get the funds and share it within themselves if they were a group or the individual gets yo have it all. All these would be supervised by a lecturer, remarked on and scores given.

The bias to this as I saw it was, they was more focused on you making profit and forgetting that even a lose was a result in business. The idea is the exposure and its left for the students to recount on there lose or profit and apply them through life.
1410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wife discovers husband's hidden Bitcoin during divorce proceeding on: May 23, 2023, 11:14:06 PM
Well... This story is quite different. A husband hid his crypto assets from his wife amid divorce saga, the wife had her suspicion, then hired a forensic expert who found out that during the splitting of the property, the husband failed to declared his 12 BTC stashed somewhere in an undisclosed wallet. She's now asking that the Bitcoin be splitted into two.

https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2023/05/20/bitcoin-in-divorce-how-spouses-hide-assets-crypto-hunters-find-them.html
It makes such a long read. I couldn't devote my time to reading all its proceedings but, read most of it to establish an idea on the matter.

As much as divorces isn't very popular in Africa and with most of it still living like in the medieval times when tradition serves as the law and mainly favours the men, this is one reason why you would find African men not having to disclose there finances with there spouse. The responsible once do there best to provide what's needed within the household but, never discloses what they earn. Not because they anticipate a divorce but, as a means to keep their spouse's eyes off their earnings.

It's always amazing how two persons that once professed loved to themselves in the presence of others seek divorce with such greed without contended on whatever is split.
1411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin retirement benefits on: May 23, 2023, 10:55:47 PM
Placing bitcoin side by side with retirement funds as relates to the context in which OP is referring doesn't seem right to me. Your galking about a package in comparison with money or an asset (bitcoin). They both aren't the same but still, has value attached.

Retirement funds as regards banks, government/organisations and individuals is a package prepared by either the government or the organisation for which the individual is affiliated to save a portion of there income as a retirement fund and gratuity for years of services.

Investing in bitcoin is a whole different story. In fact, it has almost no deference as operating a fixed deposit account. The only difference is in the currencies involved and the rudiments about there operation.
1412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Celebration Bitcoin Pizza Day. on: May 23, 2023, 06:14:27 PM
That is, according to the current market price, Laszlo Hanyecz bought only 2 pizzas for 267017400$.
I wonder what's the prize of same pizza at the time now from the same vendor?
I don't hope to see much difference except for the effect if inflation to have coursed a slight rise in prize but still, the prize isn't something that would be worth a discussion.
Though, it tells how one commodity have got less value compare to the other and should be placed ahead of the other. The investment mindset wasn't applied here.

Looking into it for real, this guy made a sweet deal at the time and it went into hatory as the first ever recorded bitcoin transaction between parties.
I got to watch a twitter interview by Laszlo only yesterday and he didn't seem to have any much regrets about it.
1413  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: New Nigeria on: May 23, 2023, 10:58:56 AM

Abi e still mean say Nigeria sef no go fit better again?
my people how una see this matter, abeg make we follow shook mouth put...
Nigeria go fit better two seconds...
But the problem with most of we Nigerians be say we take the betterment of Nigeria to come from the top politicians buy inno exact be like so.
The new Nigeria is an idea in our heard, an idea way promise say, one day e go better, say the thing way dey for sokoto dey for Shokoto. Say one day we no go dey wan run go outside before we go see better. Our land better, we get everything but, we no get people way carry mind say, them go make am better.
So long as we get that idea, one day e go materialise for our eyes way we go fit see, feel and touch. Na the condition way follow change be that, an idea in our head.

So make we no reason say, Nigeria no go fit better, e go better. Make we kwa learn to dey do better if we dey expect better. Katakata go always dey and we go try to solve am as e take dey come.
1414  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: US Don Knack Visa Restriction on: May 23, 2023, 10:16:05 AM
As much as I like wetin the US don do, e go still make sense if other countries like UK, France, China, Japan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Korea and all these other nations fit do the same. But e go hard because even some of these other nations dey benefit from these guys big time. E go also make sense if the visa restriction fit touch their family members as well -  their wife, children too.

Shey una agree say visa restriction nor dey enough. Which other measures una feel say dem suppose add to this visa restriction?
E no dy enough o my brother. The better here be say, them dey try do something and no just fold there hands to allow injustice slide like this. As them no fit put body for our sovereignty as a state, them too dey try the least way them fit do but, these na still the least. Like you don talk, if other nations join body like you talk, nation like England but, these people no go gree put body because of watin them dey collect from Nigeria.
I for like make them still deport these guys families from there,
Seize there investments over there or force them to sell. E no hard them to do. If them fit do am to man like Abramovic formal owner if Chelsea, them fit do am.

Make them con dey in the condition way them dey create and face watin we dey face.
1415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 21, 2023, 11:57:27 PM
Guardiola should already be ready for coming across a defensive-oriented game against themselves from Inter. Because there is no point in Inter's playing with overconfidence against Manchester City. They would just give exactly what their opponent wants. Inter will need to focus on wearing out Manchester City attackers by defending them tightly.
You've got a point there. Inter don't look like Manchester City's equal but, they would put up a fight somehow and that is by playing a defensive game, try to draw Manchester City out and then go on the counter attack. Better still, hold the game to a draw till the final whistle goes and then take there chances with a penalty shootout but the question is... Can Inter Milan really withstand the pressure of Manchester City? These guys keeps coming at you and coming at you. They even get worst after managing to get a first goal.
It would take all of Inter Milans UCL experience to win this one if they could as, Pep is desperate and this is Manchester City's golden opportunity.
1416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 21, 2023, 11:44:26 PM
This should be a very meaningful lesson for Chelsea, especially for their management and staff because indeed their problem starts from the root when a major reshuffle occurs for the top officials which has destroyed their condition until now.
On the other hand, this is also a good lesson for Todd not to be too hasty in decisions for both players and coaches, just because he is the most powerful doesn't mean he can do whatever he wants because it is clearly self-defeating.
Chelsea has been in there worst form this season. They let things got so bad to the point that, they completely lacked confidence in themselves and the things they could do on the pitch and even an improvement on there teams squad could do very little to improve their performance. Todd made his investment its not proven very useful for him this season.

Still, Chelsea did Manchester City the honour today in handing them there most merited EPL trophy. It was glorious still for Manchester City and I wonder what it would be for the Chelsea team that were out there.
With one leaue closed, even with games to be played, the UCL is on the way and they need to bring it to England this season.
1417  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are you still buying? on: May 21, 2023, 11:16:46 PM
Think of it this way, if you sleep by 8pm and wake up by 5am to discover that bitcoin rise up to $50k, will is you said is scam? Or will you regret for not buying again? Believe me it will shock many people how the bull will react. Keep buying if trust bitcoin
When people say it's too high to buy, I tend to ask what's the ATH. The price I recall keeps it at $69k. Now that's high when you try to compare with where we have the price now which is around $26.7k. Hence, there is little reason for one not to be actively buying bitcoin. We already hit rock bottom for the bearish market and ain't going to dip that much no more.

One reason why one might not want to buy aside from the fact that, your cared of another bearish fall or the fact that they aren't so sure of bitcoin is that, you've got no funds, spare funds.
For that, there have been a solution on how to go about investing and not have much issues. The idea is to DCA! Using dollar cost averaging to follow up your investing. It's one way to go about buying even at a high price.
1418  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Off Topic child board. on: May 20, 2023, 11:54:49 PM
The need for us to get not just those two but other child's board as well na old matter way we don yan before plenty but somehow, we no been ho too further and it was dropped. Still, I view a say na necessityof we go want make this we corner get some organisation to it. As e be now, na either we determine relevance or not because, the threads deu come at an unanticipated rate, existing and non exiting.
A grouping go really help us keep things down and abuse to a minimum.
Any which way, till we get or decide how we want am to be, we go still dey put body through advice and reports on wayin we feel say no dey okay. Like that, people go dey learn from mistakes.
1419  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Getting Educated on: May 20, 2023, 11:39:30 PM
In these escenarios, we can agree education and knowledge is power, a consequence of mastering those universal laws.

I agree that knowledge is power, but knowledge alone is not enough. We live in a world where information is available in vast amounts to almost everyone, knowledge has become much easier to access than it has ever been before. However, if this were enough, then everyone would be able to use this knowledge as efficiently as possible, receiving maximum benefits from it. However, this does not happen. After all, the greatest success is achieved by those who do not simply master existing knowledge, but go beyond it, producing new knowledge, looking for creative ways of development. Mastering those universal laws is available for mediocrity. If someone wants to go beyond mediocrity, he needs to change the established order and introduce new laws.
Knowledge could be enough and that could as well be defined as you having the means to using or applying those knowledge you've gathered. That's where it all makes sense. Having an idea and not knowing how to apply it makes you doesn't differentiate you very much from someone who has got no ideas at all. Your practically the same except theoretically.
1420  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do Whites Also Deserve Reparations? on: May 20, 2023, 11:22:33 PM
You can only help people of non-white races so much. Consider blacks. Sure, they were exploited somewhat when they came to Britain and the US. But they were helped a lot more. How were they helped? Through being brought to lands of opportunity... which many of them have taken advantage of.

How did blacks (their ancestors) become slaves in the first place? They were sold to whites and other blacks by black slave traders, mostly in Africa. So, while their lot might have been hard, they should actually be paying whites for saving them.
I thought you used to be all religious and Christianity based. If that be, you wouldn't justify slavery by any claims like you talking about being thankful for being brought yo a land of opportunity you call it and that blacks did sold blacks for slavery. In essence, all these somehow justifies what was done to the black race from the times past!

You really get to amaze me the way you've coined this.
It not like the blacks were all peaceful before the arrival of there colonial masters but, the arrival of the foreign race stirred up grief, pushed for more wars than necessary in Africa and most of them forks ended up at the end of a whip.  Not to mention the conditions these guys where put through from transportation down to surviving on a farm. Where you have your wife been taken before your eyes...

It's just not worth saying but, don't try to bring it into context for any comparison, it just doesn't feel any appealing.
