1401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Private keys posted on Bitcointalk on: February 20, 2023, 10:14:25 AM
Coming from a newbie account? It may be intentional, some greedy members will want to outsmart the poster but the smart will get hunted in the end, I don't go after people's private keys or recovery seeds when I see them online, I believe no one is stupid enough to post them online, they did it to lure greedy people.
1402  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some Common Mistakes Made by New Crypto Investors on: February 20, 2023, 08:58:19 AM

-Keeping Crypto in Online Wallets: Keeping your cryptocurrency in exchanges or online wallets does not provide complete protection and is easily compromised. Because online wallets do not provide the same level of security as offline wallets, it is preferable to keep your valuables in an offline wallet.

You should talk more about custodial wallets vs non custodial wallets, online wallets are mostly custodial wallets, meaning that the team are the ones in charge of your security keys e.g private keys or recovery seed, any wallet that failed to give private keys or recovery seeds to their users are custodial wallets.

Also, even if the crypto wallet is non-custodial, you still have to make sure that its open source, because if the wallet is a closed source you won't know how transparent they are, they can give users access to their wallet keys, and the wallet devs still have access to users' wallets themselves.
1403  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Crypto Romance Scam - Stay alert with your Bitcoins. on: February 20, 2023, 07:47:49 AM
This romance scam strategy has been going on for the past 20 years and many have been exposed, many programs in America teach people how to defend themselves from online fishing, but I still don't know why people are falling for romance scams again, I still remember watching one, where the old woman failed to believe that all this while she was scammed by someone pretending to be a white man, her brother exposed the culprit by talking to FBI, she was so in love with the fake white man and she has sent thousands of dollars to the culprit through Banks and Bitcoin.
1404  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: List of countries that are encouraging the Bitcoin/Altcoin revolution on: February 20, 2023, 06:50:54 AM
This point is pretty hard to defend, I have never traveled to other part of the world so I don't know how big  their Bitcoin adoption is, but I can talk about my country, the Bitcoin adoption rate in my country is very high among the youths, some are fully based on P2P business on exchanges as means of making money per day and so many people are promoting Bitcoin in their stores as well.

The Bitcoin adoption rate of other countries are based on the data we are been given by the internet, there is no way to know which country deserves the first rank on the list or the second rank.
1405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Achievement through the help of bitcoin on: February 18, 2023, 09:21:19 AM
I don’t see any thing related on Bitcoin that help you in your life aside from learning it bit by bit.

Well, supposedly it's because of bitcoin trading, although I'm sceptical of such stories. Assuming he got to know bitcoin in 2012 and it took him a while to get into trading, say 2013, is he supposed to have gone through the market downturn caused by mt. gox and come out successful? He says he made some mistakes, but without more data I find it hard to believe the story.
The Mt.gox case is nearly similar to FTX today, and yet I am not a victim, in this bear market I have made some money investing into some projects very early too, I wasn't here in 2013 though but I am sure that mt.gox isn't the only crypto exchange at the time, some lost a fortune and some end up smiling, because they aren't caught in the mess, to me, I believe this story because I hustled my way up in crypto space since 2017 and OP story is nearly comparable to mine.
1406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How was Bitcoin mining done in the early days? on: February 18, 2023, 08:11:59 AM
In the early days of bitcoin mining, you only need a Pentium 4 CPU or USB miner to mine a good amount of Bitcoin per day, when the Quadro GPU and FPGA came they became a good option too but as time flew by every day, the difficulty of Bitcoin start increasing, making the early equipment obsolete, then ASIC miners were born, Block reward kicked in too, making the number of BTC per block lower.
1407  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you manage risk in crypto currency on: February 18, 2023, 07:12:55 AM
There is nothing to calculate here, invest only what you can afford to lose, that's the perfect risk management, either investing or trading, always know your limit. Imagine you worth a 10,000$ in your bank account and you play around with 100$ on crypto, how will that hurt if anything goes wrong? You lose money but not your life savings, take risks with very low amount of money.

The safest crypto investment is Bitcoin, others are riskier.
1408  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Looking for Investors for my Upcoming PvP crypto Casino on: February 18, 2023, 06:07:36 AM
OP, even if you visit a loan shark location the first question that will pop up is going to be about your past experience, do you have any? Have you ever worked on any casino platform before? Anyone that's still running at all? I doubt that judging by your age, you are too young for this, why don't you take your time and work very slowly? You don't have to rush this up, no investors will want to invest with an 18year old, give it time and keep working for now, when the time is right you can take a loan yourself or ask people around you for help.
1409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin class with my students. on: February 17, 2023, 10:03:37 AM
Good job mate, but if that is a government school aka public school you are going against its rules and you can be prosecuted for doing that, imagine the principal walking in on you and asking you questions, that topic is not on any school syllabus and that's why we are never thought some things in school about money, also, Bitcoin the second crime could be, that Bitcoin is not presently legal in your country.

You did well but, just be careful.
1410  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: investing for beginners must be large capital or small capital. on: February 17, 2023, 07:59:39 AM
For a safe investment, it is better to invest in a small amount, if altcoin is your main target make sure you invest a very little amount, Bitcoin, on the other hand, is a safer investment than altcoin, so it doesn't matter how small or big your investment fund is, if it's going on Bitcoin it's a big YES for me, if I have to advise a newcomer for crypto investment I will tell them to focus on Bitcoin only, they can invest any amount and I can sleep peacefully at nights too.
1411  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't have high expectations in the crypto world. on: February 17, 2023, 07:06:41 AM
Without high expectations I won't put in the work, I think high expectations have everything to do with excitement and if you are into something you love doing then the excitement will be present and high expectations will be your end goal, it is actually a good thing to be honest.

Eureka_07 said too much of everything is not good, well, have you heard the story of how Airplanes are made? Those people dedicated their entire lives trying to find the solution to make planes fly in the sky, all their lives, they believed it will work out. If too much of everything is bad they wouldn't have gotten anywhere.

When it comes to your dream you don't play around or try to give up, this is not sugar, or smoking or sleeping with females around, I am talking about something that can bring huge change and impact lives around you. There is no too much when it comes to dreams.
1412  Economy / Economics / Re: A steady source of income is a man's bottom line to support his family on: February 17, 2023, 05:59:24 AM
I bet he has other options left that's why he was able to decline the job proposal, it is very easy to make such a decision when you are all alone with no families, but once you have a responsibility it is impossible to be without any job, I believe he said no to the job comfortably because he has other means, if not, he will put his family in a very uncomfortable zone.

The advice I have for him is to manage whatever job he can find right now, not because of himself but that of his family, as time goes on he should keep looking for better job, also, he should not rely on jobs because the company might decide to stop all employees any time.
1413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful Many New Tokens on Coinmarketcap are on: February 15, 2023, 06:31:26 AM
I believe that the CoinMarketCap team is doing better than Coingecko, on CMC if a coin or token is shady you will get a warning right on top of the token, saying that, be careful investing because the dev can increase tax amount or the smart contract can be halted, this means if you buy you may not be able to sell, but on coin gecko, some tokens get listed and they are a scam, no single warnings from the team. Be warned, using Coinmarketcap or coin gecko for choosing new projects is wrong, you need to do your research, these platforms are there to give you the right information about any crypto project, that's all, they don't give investment advice, so use them right.
1414  Economy / Economics / Re: SEC's crackdown on BUSD after banning the Staking on Kraken on: February 15, 2023, 05:21:17 AM
There is a rumor going around right now that Kevin O'Leary and black rock are the ones behind the BUSD hunt down, Kevin did this to get revenge on CZ because of the FTX collapse, I think this makes sense because Kevin said on the video that he won't let this slide, he promised CZ that something will be done and he (CZ) should be ready for him.

It's only a matter of time, we will know what they are hiding if BUSD became the only stablecoin that the SEC hunts down then, this was intentionally.
1415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you interested in bitcoin? on: February 14, 2023, 10:55:52 AM
Anyone that talks less about how they can double their money investing in Bitcoin is a liar, the first main reason why we all invest in Bitcoin is the add up in value when you hold your Bitcoin, every other reason comes later, but making more money is the first.

The second reason is the privacy part, the escapade from total control of the government.
1416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UAE central bank to issue CBDC, promote digital asset growth on: February 14, 2023, 09:24:08 AM
@Pooya87, you made a good point by saying that CBDC will be the death of stable coins but what about decentralized stable coins like DAI? Can SEC hunt them down too?

I will never be a part of those that will start using CBDC to Bitcoin pair or other, it looks like a success already for the government, they have finally taken over.

Truth be told, I was not expecting this very soon.
1417  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help on: February 14, 2023, 06:59:11 AM
OP can you take your time to share a screenshot of the app? Some Bitcoin faucets pay in very tiny amounts of Satoshis when the withdrawal minimum is meet, I am not sure they still exists today, I myself made some mBTC through one of those apps but I uninstalled because it takes forever to get the withdrawal limit.

If you are not claiming Sats every hours or 4 hours then that's a fake cloud mining app, do not waste your time on the app, in the end, you might not get anything after the 90 days you claimed to get paid.
1418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MetaMask issues scam alert as NameCheap hacker sends unauthorized emails on: February 13, 2023, 05:36:45 PM
Scammers use more than just Metamask to fool their victims and imagine if the receiver also uses Metamask, this can easily confuse them thinking it's really from Metamask, they also use coinbase wallet, token pocket, Trust wallet, and others, so if you are a newbie reading this right now, noncustodial wallets will never send you emails into your gmail account or yahoo account, be careful and treat all crypto wallet emails as a scam, do not bother to open and read.
1419  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which one to invest. on: February 13, 2023, 09:17:21 AM
BUY BITCOIN

All other projects claiming that they are fully decentralized are not, let the government threaten to go after them now they will instantly switch and deny decentralization,  they are nothing but business runners, and the only true decentralized crypto project is BITCOIN.

The Creator became invisible/ghost to maintain real Decentralization.
1420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin current price on: February 13, 2023, 08:18:26 AM
If you see Bitcoin as real digital gold you won't care about the present market situation, why should you care about analysts' predictions? Most times they are always wrong, they called for 100,000$ BTC in 2021 and it never happens, do things away from the Analysts and start to make your own decision, this is the best way to build yourself and the way you think, many people failed to buy Bitcoin at 15,000$ because of these analysts, do not be a sitting duck.
