1401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can I ask for refund if casino game has bugs? on: December 15, 2023, 08:33:53 PM
Hello guys, I have heard many stories when person was playing casino games, for example person was playing slots and managed to win a huge jackpot, 100 thousand or up to a million but casino didn't give him his winning because they said slot had bugs and they can't give away money because person won through a buggy slots.
I have never seen a case when casino called player for a refund because slot had bugs. What happens if you think that slot has bugs and that's why you lose? If we follow logic, since casino can deny your winning because they think that game has bugs, you should have right to ask for slots inspect if you lose a lot. Doesn't this make sense? I think it makes but I want to know if you had similar experience or if something similar has happened in history ever.
Well I won't lie, I haven't heard about any gambler supposedly asking for refunds but if we look at it from a logical aspect then it's clear to say that for sure it's definitely alright to ask for refunds since the casino can confiscate your winning due to system glitch, same should be done also for the gambler if supposedly the casino had a glitch and you lost your funds to that supposed glitch but I doubt any casino would accept that a gambler lost due to the their system glitch.
1402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How discipline are you in managing your bankroll? on: December 15, 2023, 08:29:13 PM
In this case if I answer your question then the first answer will be first of all you should take gambling as only purpose of entertainment not for the main purpose is to be earning. Then I wanna say that set a limitation that can be a gambling budget for a days or for a week or month. Keep in mind that if you cross over this budget, you will have to stop gambling for the day.  Moreover, of course, gambling should not be greedy.

You’ve got a point. I think if you’re someone who gambles a considerable lot, it would be safer if you made a budget for your gambling activities and strive to keep to it. That’s the best way on how to comfortably manage your finances so you won’t go over indulging yourself with gambling activities.
Starting with a week and slowly increasing to two weeks to a month, the budget would get easier to stick to and discipline would then set in.
Greed for more money can also make someone play using money not budgeted for such activities.
Budget allocation would be always recommended or something that would really be that crucial specially when dealing up with gambling. If you do find yourself that being impulsive when it comes to spending then there's something wrong with you and this is something that should really be stopped completely if you are really that making that huge spending into your money.
Gambling is for fun but on the time that you are already doing things which arent supposed to be done then it would really be always better that you should stop.
Bankroll handling would really be that important and if you arent discipline then you are really that close to disaster, this is why you should really be that careful.
Why not just have a fixed deposit to avoid you going a-wall with your gambling habit because sometimes we tend to forget ourselves when it comes to managing our bankroll. As a gambler, the one most important thing that's keeps your habit in check is the ability for you to actually manage your bankroll because the moment you have lost control of that then be sure you are definitely heading to a one way road that's very hard to come back from.
1403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler takes his own life after a loss. on: December 14, 2023, 02:16:11 PM
Apparently this is a true live event happened in my State this week and almost everyone is talking about it. About a young man that killed himself after a gamble loss, he even left a message for his family and friends before taking his life.  But I wonder why should someone take his own life  just because he lost  #2.5 million to gambling an amount  equivalent to just about $3k. I can relate to his loss but taking your life is something unimaginable and unjustifiable to do. No matter the regrets suicide isn't an option to be taking as a solution , you are only leaving bigger pains  behind for your loved ones.

This is just another reminder to we all gamblers that no bet is sure and guaranteed, don't ever use an amount of money you are not comfortable to lose just because you feel convicted in your mind that the game will play as predicted. There's no such thing as sure bet in gambling.

Question: Is there any amount lost that can make you commit suicide?

If yes, then don't ever use such amount to gamble.
No offense but if you consider taking your own life over anything, you're an idiot. If you have a terminal disease that is unbearable, you might have a reason(Might), but other then that you shouldn't ever be considering suicide.

I wonder why people are so weak these days.
These kind of cases are actually quite rampant in my area as I hear so many stories of people actually ending their life which like you said is not an option whatsoever because before ever you involved yourself in gambling you would have the knowledge that gambling isn't something that's profitable at your every try and I think nothing in this world guarantee that, so everyone should know how to handle a little defeat, I mean if everyone ran to the option of ending their life over loses they have enquired then I think the human race would be really looking at the verge of extinction.
1404  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Can Government ban Bitcoin in Nigeria? on: December 14, 2023, 01:57:05 PM
Government banning Bitcoin in Nigeria totally i think it will not be possible because i found out that Bitcoin is a digital currency in which you can not control but can restrict the usage through a particular country central bank, so i think it will be very difficult for Nigeria government to restrict the youths especially unemployed youths of not participating in anything cryptocurrencies. Even though Bitcoin will be ban in Nigeria i think it will not stop the existence of P2P exchange transactions, so i dont know why most at times many crypto investors get afraid of government banning Bitcoin in particular. i was told that in the two years Nigeria government ban Bitcoin but till date people are still transacting with Bitcoin, it can only be possible for a government if Bitcoin is a centralized currency but since its a decentralized currency and i think that government can only carry out a speculation and fake information about Bitcoin. So in summary government of a particular country dont have the power to ban existence of Bitcoin.
I think so many people actually misunderstood the essence or should I say limitation of the supposed ban of Bitcoin in Nigeria. Well I will start off by supporting your statement which is the impossibility or slim chance of the government actually controlling people from using Bitcoin, just take china for example, I mean the country was actually among the first to show it's hatred towards Bitcoin and placing a ban on Bitcoin but that's doesn't mean Bitcoin isn't flourishing there in fact china seems to be among the major consumer of Bitcoin and imagine if this ban was actually strictly possible, it would have had a major impact on the adoption and transaction because china is the most populated and in terms of technological wise they are rated among the top elite.

Well  for the case of Nigeria, Bitcoin was actually just restricted in local transaction with the local fiat banks and this ban was actually stipulated by the CBN of Nigeria maybe due to the fact they can't task transaction of Bitcoin. I know this because my local zenith bank account was actually closed by the CBN because of the transaction that supposedly occur on my bank relating to Bitcoin but since then the p2p option was the only way to trade Bitcoin and boy has it gain massive adoption.
1405  Economy / Gambling / Re: MEGA:PARI |SPORTS & CASINO| SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN on: December 14, 2023, 01:39:38 PM
Please I would like to know from the megapari team about cash-out option in their casino cause I have a game of parley selection of about 14 games placed with a stake power of about 4$ to a possible win of 180$ and so far the game has been doing and it's UpTo the last 6 games and I don't know if their casino has any support like the cash-out option where I can be negotiated with a partial percentage of my supposed winning instead of the whole amount? My reason of asking is because so many other casino has this and it would be nice to implement it, I mean a 50-50 chance of the bet.
1406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is fun, watching with bet or without a bet? on: December 14, 2023, 01:33:47 PM
Just trying to get the communities opinion based on their experience about the topic.

Personally, a a bettor, I find it very stressful when watching the game you are betting especially if it will end up a losing bet.

If we have the same experience, how do you cope up with that problem, after all, gambling should be fun but why we have this kind of feeling that we feel disappointed when our bet loses?
I can really relate to what you are trying to say, watching a game you bet on is really stressful as you will be all tensed up especially when that game is supposedly the last game in a parley selection because I would like to believe that the game must have gone through hell to that point and then you decide to go watch it and boom the unexpected happens and your teams loses, I can definitely tell you there's nothing fun about such situation at all  Angry
1407  Economy / Economics / Re: Inventing a job is better than finding a job on: December 14, 2023, 12:56:55 PM
Yes, you are right, we saw the world from the 20s completely changing and the world goes to more advancement where they make the life of people easy but at the same, they make the people optionaless and less valuable. The count is increasing per day and the agricultural land is changing to towns and societies and in this situation finding a job for yourself is very tough because of the high competition and fewer opportunities. So, in this case, both finding a job or inventing a job has its pros and cons, if a person in all this situation and high competition finds a job for himself he will just live an average life with the salary of that job if this job does not require any investment the same they offer a small salary but if you start something and invest your money in it, it will give you huge profits with time not only this but also provides the opportunity to others. So in my view inventing a job is more beneficial and profitable than finding a job.

It is indeed difficult to find a job with a good salary and you have to fulfill many conditions. It would be even better if you were able to create a business that can absorb the work force even if there are only 2 workers and the impact may seem small, but this is what is expected, because apart from helping people who need jobs, the country is also helped by their participation and creativity in creating new jobs. The unemployment rate itself will be depressed and can decrease by itself. Hopefully next year there will be more people doing initiatives like this.

I suppose even working for someone is hard these days as the society or environment you are is also a determinate to that factor that's why over here in the world countries many are looking for ways to establish themselves rather than use their manpower to elevate someone else. Working as a self employed person is the best thing you can do for yourself because all the profits that you would help someone build can be enjoyed by yourself.

But the online world is what is helping people now and I guess you can't count it as creating of jobs for yourself though as many of us here are trooping into the freelance world as the demand is high and one thing again , it's internet money and is widely appreciated here as the value of earning in dollars is better than your normal average fiat salaries.
1408  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you still use Banks ? on: December 14, 2023, 12:49:37 PM
We have cryptocurrency you still use Banks ?
The bank online many times not working slow Also i want to transfer fast to Canada to russia i cant do that or india to USA i cant do that i need instantly.
Also i asked money my bank dont give so If the bank don't help me to get rich then i dont need them.
Do you still use Banks ? Im using only cryptocurrency debit cards and they always work better than bank.
So Im still surprised If anyone still use Banks they are old

Do you use more crypto or banks for your daily or average transactions ?
Do you have had problems with hackers or someone steal money from your cryptocurrency or bank
Do you think banks not working reliable any more ?

I teach all my family to use cryptocurrency becouse i dont trust Banks and i think If you can tell your bank mind your business you are scam i told my bank If you not give me loans or credit i dont need you and i close it

Sometimes when I see post like this it makes me wonder how greatly as the advance of cryptocurrency affected or taken effect for them to complete ignore the use of banks because I feel banks are still very much important as Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency has not chase out the use of fiat and even if this is sometime going to happen, I still think there is much time for the effective use of banks moreover banks and fiat work hand in hand inorder for achievement and aslo global adoption to occur. So many people buy crypto with their fiat currency and where do we get the fiat ? .
1409  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I start investing in Bitcoin? on: December 13, 2023, 11:50:05 PM
Can someone please guide is it a good practice to start investing in Bitcoin in this upcoming January-2024?
I don't think it is. The market still looks bullish because of the expected ETF approval that will happen hopefully by January which means bitcoin that time will become more expensive from its original price. So that would be a bit riskier if you start investing at a high price. However, starting a small amount is not bad at all. You can invest anytime you want as long as your purpose is to buy and hold bitcoin for long term. But you can never expect to make it instantly big with the upcoming bull run. At least, you can still be in profits and just continue to DCA with bitcoin as this is the right thing to do when you come to invest at an expensive price.

Well I don't know for you but if he has the opportunity to invest or get some coins before the year start or during the early part of year he can still do it because I am to believe that the Bitcoin must reach another ATH be it now or later but the issue now is to know if he can actually hold those coins of his because he can start accumulating now and decide to hold for long till the new ATH is achieved then nothing is wrong from my own view.
1410  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quite interesting - How long would it take for the average user to achieve Hero? on: December 13, 2023, 11:29:13 PM
Like every other person has told you, the required activity count for hero rank is 490-500, and it will take you about 16 months before you can archive up to 500 active, which depends on how frequently you also make your posts. Whichever you make, it should be some relevant post because that will help you earn the required merit, which can also help you to archive your hero rank.

If you engage in positive discussion organically, you will be able to archive the required merit to rank up; you may even get help from a merit source, but the activity count is what automatically updates every 14 days. Take, for example, my profile. I created my account last year in October, and I am still having 434 activities. I am supposed to have up to 490 activities in February 2024, which is my 16th month of being here.
That's some beautiful way to design a system don't you think? I mean everyone must walk in same footsteps That's of you meet the requirements as no one can actually run faster than their shadows and I believe everyone here on the forum had to wait 16 months before they actually achieve their hero no matter how many thousands of merit you have achieved and some now stay longer of the 16month activity is already breached but the merit requirements are not yet fulfill then I guess you can even stay UpTo a year or even more cause I have seen so many accounts actually backdating to four , five and six years back but yet are still roaming the full member or senior member rank.
1411  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How much do signature campaigns work? on: December 13, 2023, 11:21:14 PM
Here is a link to an overview of the signature campaigns in the forum.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

From there you will know how much are the participants being paid, how you can calculate the average for each rank, and other requirements.

For your first question, the campaign manager checks it and then pays them accordingly.

I think there is no fix amount to what member are paid, I think that jurisdiction is base on how the company and the campaign manager decide to work it out as I believe some company pay their for advertising their work than others and I think the campaign manager also has a way to influence the payment rate for each rank depending on the ones he is working with.

Aslo some company start with a low budget for marketing their pay while later is the case for other. Well for how they track campaigner wearing their signature code to earn payment, I think the manager has the responsibility to do that as he can also work with special people to keep track of these that's if he really wants to be district.
1412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: December 12, 2023, 08:21:04 PM
I can't see how Manchester can even save themself this evening against Bayern.

They need points or they will be not even in Europa League cup
Why do you say so , the said Bayern Munich don't have anything they are playing for as they have already qualified will even finish on top of the group so I think Manchester united will have an advantage but the issue is that Manchester united themselves are found throwing away Golden chances. I would like to think  that they can manage their chances this night as Bayern also suffered a heavy loss and would demoralized.
1413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: December 12, 2023, 07:53:05 PM
I strongly believe that Arsenal has the potentials of not just qualifying from their group but also going very far in the knockout stages.
Arsenal have potentials only in this group because they face easy opponents. A draw will be the end results for this match. Arsenal are drawing points with PSV with 1-1 on the scoresheet at Philips stadion. Perhaps the home side keen standing firm on their ground, they will not allow the visitors to invade their territory to net another goal. We almost into injury time of the second halve and nothing yet to separate both sides from each other. I reasoned the game doesn't seem important for both sides since they've already earn the winning points to qualify for next round.
I must say this game has been disappointing for me as the much expected flair I was hoping for in this game didn't actually came to realization and it was a bit boring as the game ended a 1 all draw . Well for arsenal they would consider this a good result as they have already qualified. At the end of this game,  draw was too obvious as both teams are not too desperate to secure the three points.
1414  Other / Meta / Re: Pm participants limits on: December 12, 2023, 07:42:23 PM
I encountered an issue while trying to send private messages to multiple members of my gang AOBT simultaneously. Every time I attempt to send the message, I receive a notification about a participant limit.

I'm unsure if this is a rank limitation or a  general restriction. Interestingly, I've received a  message from someone with more than 15 participants in the past. Could someone explain whether this is a fixed limitation for all ranks? Has anyone experienced this before?

If it is a fixed limitation, I would appreciate guidance on how to send a message to more than 15 individuals without having to respond to cooper membership requirements.

I think its already clearly stated on the red highlight information the reason why you can't actually send pm to more than 15users. I think the whole pm message limit is fixed to every rank as I believe lower rank members won't be able to send more than the number you have already sent and I believe if your rank was higher then the case would  have different.

1416  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why most beginners so much believe bitcoin can make rich on: December 11, 2023, 08:48:02 PM
If you are Bitcoin whale, Bitcoin can make you rich. The obvious truth is that the more Bitcoin you get the richer you become. Getting rich through Bitcoin is not an overnight achievement. Newbies who invest in Bitcoin have a skill that is worthy of multiplying your bitcoins like - bitcoin trading, Bitcoin lending, gambling with Bitcoin, and others. I highly recommend that you already have some level of expertise in these areas before you make think about going into it.
The major issue is the way the whole rain of positivity is spread about how people can make lots of profits in a split of a second and this trend has made so many naive newbie venture into Bitcoin without properly knowing the real truth that's behind the concept of making it through Bitcoin. It's true that one can make lots of profits through Bitcoin but all this doesn't happen overnight as it's needs proper planning and understanding before one can make it.
1417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: With gambling, it's probably easier to quit cold turkey on: December 11, 2023, 08:30:56 PM
It would probably be the same as a heavy smoker who is advised to stop by reducing it slowly and experts say that will be difficult to do because he will still continue smoking and only reduce it occasionally.
It is impossible for a gambler who is addicted to stop immediately before he can go through treatment with a therapist because gambling has already taken over his mind, even though we read a gambler who reduces his gambling activities, of course, he is not already in the addiction stage, maybe he is an active gambler, but because he is not an addict, he still can control their thoughts when they have gone too far in gambling so can stop immediately.
That's true because gambling addiction is something that eats the spirit and willpower of any sane person and it can take time before anything will actually be seen as normal for this addict. Addiction is really serious case and it needs to be handled with care and serious therapy need to be done before anything can said about a character change in that person and these things can still go wrongly because once the person is said to be cured the person can still flip and go back to his old if proper is not carried out.
1418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: December 11, 2023, 07:59:34 PM
Finally last round!!!!

The most exciting round of alls, at least for me, more than 16 round or even quarterfinals, i love the quantity of games in the last round and all the teams played for any, it can be a place in the next round or a place in the third position to go into conference.
Group C and H might have the most challenging games since in Group C, it isn't clear which teams will get the first two spots and in Group H, the second position will goes for Qarabag most likely since Molde will have to face Bayer Leverkusen to qualify.
In Group C, the winners will qualify between Real Betis and Rangers, Real Betis are favourite of course. Sparta Praha should also qualify since they will play vs Aris Limassol.
In the other groups, it is less interesting since whether both first teams will qualify or it is games to precise which teams will lead the group.
The last games of the group is always tricky and am certain not to give anyone a sure pass because anything can happen and don't Forget that it's football we are talking about. What am really sure I'm this particular fixture of the Europa league would be the rain of goals that is going to poor our in most of games of the groups. If am to play any games, I would rather play on goals than to give any team an assurance of winning.

Try and read mate, the thread is not open so dropping your application here is somehow more of spamming the thread . Just wait till the manager declares open then you can and everyone else drop your CV and that's if your rank is listed in the campaign payment schedule.
