1401  Economy / Economics / Re: How do banks generate income? on: July 11, 2023, 06:23:45 PM
Bank's make their money from different sources, they are most times involved in stock market trading, Forex trading with the helps of expert traders that can predict the market, they all make their money from loan facilities they gave out to customers.

The Banks are always happy when a customer makes heavy deposit, because they use that deposited money and invest in business that will give them huge returns in a short period of time, don't forget that, customers pay for account maintenance, this money runs into millions by the time you multiply it with the number of customers they have.
All of this helps them to maintain operational cost, like paying if salaries, utility bills and a whole lot more.
1402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My personal savings now I will invest in Bitcoin on: July 09, 2023, 08:37:25 AM
I have been thinking about trading in Bitcoin for quite some time now. I have been involved with Bitcoin for a long time but am still thinking about investing here. I used to run DPS in bank for 30 dollars per month for 5 years, this DPS will complete 5 years this month. I'll get roughly $1800, I don't think it's much of a savings to keep that money in the bank. Bangladesh is suffering from severe dollar crisis due to which many banks are likely to go bankrupt. The names of those banks have not yet been published by any mass media. Because of the economic condition of Bangladesh, I want to invest my money in Bitcoin. I still don't understand if my decision is right, please let me know your opinion

You said, you've been involved in Bitcoin for a very long time, but yet your still skeptical 🤔 about your decision in investing in bitcoin.
I found that to be fascinating, because for the duration of time you've known Bitcoin, you should understand that, investing in bitcoin is one best decisions you can take, though I would advise you shouldn't go all in with your entire savings, you can invest half of it or a quarter of it.
Since your also thinking about trading in Bitcoin, I will also advise you take some classes on trading and try to be perfect on your demo before going into live trading.

1403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin whales took high risks, while studying price movement in the past on: July 07, 2023, 05:53:52 PM
People that succeed in every investment, make's the highest Risk that ordinary people on a good day won't.
Success in every investment needs you to do your due diligence before investing , and I think that's one of the things the CEO have done.
Today the success he has attained in Bitcoin today can only be imagined,  however the good thing is,  as at when the opportunity came, he had the money to invest. This story also exalt us to avoid people of small minds around us as they could discourage us from attaining a height we are supposed to in the future.
1404  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is happening in France? on: July 03, 2023, 07:55:51 PM
The consequences of excessive hospitality, self-deprecation, and attempts to play nice and responsive people.  Plus the manipulation and attempted internal pressure on Macron by his opponents.
There's a bunch of stuff mixed in there, from primitive idiocy to elements of geopolitical gamesmanship.
If you take the "grassroots" problem - the games of "tolerance" to immigrants flooding France - that was the foundation of the problem.  About 15 years ago I flew through France, Paris, De Gaulle airport, and had time to walk around Paris. No offense - I did not see a single "emigrant" who showed any benefit to the country that gave him shelter and the benefits of civilization. They were all consumers, all were quite aggressive towards the local population, and did not give a damn about France and its laws. I was then talking to acquaintances who lived in Paris, and to my statement "soon they will be a huge mass, which already considers France as their land, and you MUST HAVE THEM, do you want to start pre-emptive measures to take", I was told - "well what do you say!? they are people, they suffered there, we are civilized people, they will adapt and become full citizens of France". I laughed back, they were offended Smiley
It turned out I was right...

I beg to disagree with you on the issue of "benefits from the immigrants"
I think to a large extent, France has benefited immensely from immigrant population, ranging from a young protective work force. Take a look at  France national football team, it depicts to a large extent to which they've benefited from immigrants. However, there might be one two Judas within the immigrant population, but that doesn't make the problems squarely lie on them.
1405  Other / Politics & Society / What is happening in France? on: July 03, 2023, 07:16:11 PM
In the passing days there has been  disruption of lives, movements and also with destruction of public properties  across  major cities in France. This happening has hampered negatively on the economy of the country forcing the French president to abort one of his supposed diplomatic trip in light of the ill-fated situation.

The story line talks about, a 17 years old teenage boy that was killed by the police. This singular act has given birth to series of protest and riots that has affected, and created unrest in  major cities of the country leading to the arrest of more than 700+ protesters.

A lot of people have complained about the activities of police across the world, Because the George Floyd issue, the Arab Spring and a lots of activities of the police that has lead to protest that has resulted to unending riots, carnage and destruction that is caused by the excesses of the police across the world.

All the major cities in France is currently shutdown, economic activities are seriously under threat as shops owners are losing their goods  unabatedly, as the security force are overwhelmed with the situation.
I think is high time the Government of the world looks into the activities of police before they cause a volcanic eruption that will consume us all.

1406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gospel Preachers: Is Bitcoin the Last Currency in the World? on: July 02, 2023, 03:45:31 PM
Well, I've gone through the Bible myself, i don't think there is any portion that describes your elutriation, the only thing that is close to what your saying is the Mark of the beast, which talks about the coming of the antichrist.
Hence bitcoin is far from what you're saying or even imagining. The Bible is explicit in its explanations and it's adviced you apply wisdom while reading the Holy scriptures because wisdom is profitable to direct.

So in answering your question, bitcoin is not the last currency in the world.
1407  Other / Meta / Re: Is it allowed to post in English in a Local Section on: June 29, 2023, 12:53:51 PM
There is a reason why it's been referred to as local board, first i think is for you to check the rules of the local board, if you can post on your local language or English language. Because i feel most local board is to help discuss or ask questions in a way your locals can easily understand your line of thoughts and respond adequately.
So if the rules says, both English and local language is acceptable then that's fine but if it's otherwise then follow suit, as long as is in line with the forum rules.
1408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much do you think Bitcoin will rise to in the next round of bull market? on: June 29, 2023, 07:30:11 AM
The next bull run is expected to be in 2024 and it will be on till 2025, though nobody can easily predict the price outcome hence it can go either ways, because bitcoin halving is said to be one of the determining factors.
1409  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Bitcoin trading for the lily-livered? on: June 28, 2023, 02:21:49 PM
I've been around the forum for months now and lately i have been developing serious thoughts about venturing into crypto trading
particularly bitcoin, I've gotten some little knowledge about forex trading, because there are lots of trading indicators in forex that helps you in predicting the market flow.

However according to some bitcoin trading expert's on YouTube, they will tell you they've gotten their fingers burnt a lot of times.
[/b]

The people that got burnt got burnt because they underestimated cryptocurrency trading and it has thought them a lesson. Since you have some knowledge of Forex already, you have a good idea of what you are to face and you should not be in a hurry to start Cryptocurrency trading because being in a hurry to start can force mistakes that will cost you all your money. But if you are very good In trading Forex, and you make profit, you can still decide to trade Forex, make profit and invest in Cryptocurrency, you must not trade Cryptocurrency.

I've seen a little up and down on Forex while trading but like i said, experts believe cryptocurrency trading it's a bit complex than forex that's why I'm seeking the obvious question.

Bitcoin as we all know is a decentralised digital currency that has monitoriy value.
So in real sense, bitcoin is a legal tender and it's a global currency.

As a human being, you should be open to Criticism, because those are the rituals you go through as you grow up, don't opposed admonishment too hard, look at the positive side of it, and it will help you.

Encouragement is one of the ingredient you need to galvanize your thoughts into contributing meaningfully in the forum.

1418  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Senator Adamu Bulkachuwa making an open Confessional statement on: June 13, 2023, 08:35:50 AM
In our today's society, a lot of person's come out every day to complain about the kind of democracy we are practicing as a people.
because a lot of person's have argued that, we are operating a civilian rule kind of government, not Democracy in its entirety because the tenets of democracy is not followed to the latter. In an idea sense of Democracy, justice and fairness reign supreme.

In a the valedictory session held by the 9th senate, senator Adamu Bulkachuwa while making his speech, he made some shocking revelations about his role as to ensuring his wife zaniab Bulkachuwa, the former President of the federal court of appeal in Nigeria which he encroached as a husband to help some of his senator Colleagues.
 In his words "
I want to thank Particularly, my wife whose freedom and independence I encroached upon while she was in office.
And she had been very tolerant and accepted my encroachment and extended her help to my Colleagues"

The senate President interjected almost immediately because it was a live session, distinguish, i don't think it's a good idea going in this direction, it's not a good idea lawan Said and he immediately off the mic of Bulkachuwa.
Today we've gotten a new slogan " if you don't like it go to court"
this are some of the elements that has brought about such emboldened statements.

1419  Economy / Economics / Re: Getting an MBA before starting a company or directly starting a company? on: June 10, 2023, 02:10:37 PM
Getting an MBA is beneficial because it sets you apart from the rest of the pack. One of the advantages of an MBA is that it forces you to read and learn, which helps you expand your knowledge about any business you want to venture into. I strongly believe that one of the reasons why start-ups fail is because they lack a solid foundation in understanding frameworks and conducting their own research, instead of relying solely on purchased data. While it is true that not everyone may be able to afford an MBA program, the truth is that there is so much to learn from it. If you had the opportunity to pursue an MBA before starting a company or directly starting a company, which option would you choose?

For me i will do both at once depending on the kind of business i want to venture into, because going for an MBA program will last you at least a year and six months.
So both of them can go in pari passu, at the end of the day, the knowledge obtained from MBA program will help to enhance the start up Business.

There are lots of business owners that are enrolled in one academic program or the other, the whole thing is to make sure you have a broader understanding of your business and to improve your managerial skills.
1420  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: (JUNGLE JUSTICE) SYSTEMATIC IS BECOMING AN EPIDEMIC IN NIGERIA TODAY!!! on: June 10, 2023, 08:13:17 AM
Firstly I ask my self WHAT'S JUNGLE JUSTICE OR MOB JUSTICE??? Is a form of public extrajudicial killings which can be found in NIGERIA AND CAMEROON where an alleged criminals is been publicly humiliated, beaten and summarily  executed by by some gang of peoples call VIGILANTES OR ANGRY MOB.
SOURCE Wikipedia

Today in Nigeria JUNGLE JUSTICE SYSTEMATIC has remained an overlooked issue in Nigeria, I can't forget the ALUU 4 incident in years 2012, where four students of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) were iynched and set ablaze by resident's of the ALUU community in River State. The were accused of being armed robber's and cultists. Also today jungle justice is becoming epidemic in Nigeria, mostly the youth are the major victims and culprits in extrajudicial killings I just wonder if there is any humanity left in this country, the bad side of it is that a mere accusations of blasphemy and shouting ole! ole! ole!
can brutally end anyone's life in a few minutes.

HISTORY OF JUNGLE JUSTICE SYSTEMATIC IN NIGERIA
Jungle Justice in Nigeria has no particular history as it has been for decades, but however it can be traced to the this people's called THE BAKASSI BOY'S, a group which was established in 1999 by various association of lgbo people's of the south-east, Nigeria GILBERT OKOYE was the first learder of the association.
The Conclusion I made about this was that Nigerians are angry, and there is also something called poverty in the land, people are looking for various ways to unleash their angers on other's, I would say it doesn't mean JUNGLE JUSTICE SYSTEMATIC should be allowed to continue.
MY OWN QUESTION BE SAY HOW WE FIT STOP THIS DARK BEAST FOR 9JA TODAY???
YOUR REPLY WILL SAVE LIFE'S
Source https://www.skabash.com/jungle-justice-in-nigeria/#mobile-site-navigation

Thank you OP for bringing this topic to the front burner.
Personally I'm one person that frowns at jungle justice, because of its cruelty.
In curbing the menace of jungle justice in our today's society, i think there are laws already in our constitution to deal with it.

But i will go further to make the law bite hard on offenders if I'm to make recommendations going forward. for instance, if your a traditional ruler in a community that a Said incident of jungle justice occurred, your to face charges for murder, if you're also a Local government chairman in charge of that LGA, you too are to face charges for murder.

Doing this will make the leaders of various communities and towns to be proactive and vigilant because they will easily pass the message of not killing people unjustly to their wads easily.
