Bitcoin related Advertising Platforms are increasing, Is it a good thing?

What do you think!

r you speaking about services like Bitmedia.io , a-ads ? unless those services are high quality then I don't see how useful is it to increase or decrease . I can't say about others but I prefer having 1 high quality service rather then having 10 low quality (which is the case for those advertising networks by the way)
1402  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The shady side of Paxful on: October 24, 2016, 02:43:11 PM
I can confirm that the CEO and CTO both got arrested as well . In fact , paxful themselves admitted when I asked them about it : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1657928.msg16648510#msg16648510 but they said that everything should continue to work without issues (I doubt it).
1403  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk Account price estimator on: October 24, 2016, 02:20:08 PM
I got an idea to get things faster but not sure If it's easy to implement or not , If we assume that I currently have 1000 posts , { I use your price estimator } , I posted 100 more posts , { I re-use your price estimator } . While using the price estimator for the first time , you should save the posts and everything in a database (forever) , the second time I use it (after posting the additional 100 posts) , It should start counting and checking my posts since 1000 and not from 0 , that way you gain some time with the process. If someone don't post anything between the first and the second time , then It simply display the data from the database instead of checking.
1404  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for a good Designer! on: October 23, 2016, 07:24:01 PM

We are looking for a good designer with experience in Bitcoin related projects.
For example: Banners, Posters, Social-Network Designs, etc..

Please contact me here via PM.

SFR10 could be a great option as suggested above but here is a list of all "good" designers in the forums : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1610428.0 It should help you pick much easier.
1405  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How do you know when a site tries to scam you? on: October 23, 2016, 05:53:43 PM
It's pretty much all about using your brain, scam websites are most of the time obvious (poor english sometimes , poor design , low quality domain name , no SSL  (HTTPS) which should be available in any website that transfer sensitive data ) and other stuff like that , scammers aren't creative , they are just trying to make a quick buck because they can't do anything else and they don't want to spend money to do that either. In addiction to that , you should always google about the website before depositing any BTC .
1406  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Overview] The one thread to link them all on: October 23, 2016, 04:49:52 PM
Lauda made recently a couple of useful threads and sticked them on the section , you may want to add them as well :[General] How to earn Bitcoins - Part 1 and  [General] Bitcoin Wallets - Which, what, why?
EDIT : this one could be useful too : Verifying Bitcoin Core
1407  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paxful working ? on: October 22, 2016, 04:55:16 PM
The website and transactions are running normally. I heard that CEO and other crew members have arrived back to Estonia, and everything is normal now.

I was able to reach out with their staff member named "Julien" , I personally find it hard to believe him as they probably know each either (the staff) and It's not a business-relation only.

1408  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Has anyone been using Wirex plastic credit card? on: October 22, 2016, 01:59:12 PM
Support was perfect when they first launched but It's now little bit slow due to the fact that a lot of people are contacting them . You didn't say what kind of issues you are having but If It has something with loading then It's bank problems (as usual) and If you are using the web , try to use the phone app instead , It could work. Alternatively , post your problem in their first official thread or the second one .
The problem I'm having with the support is not really their response time, as they usually answer the same day or the day after .. it's more the fact that they never seem to take the time to read my messages.

At this point, since I cannot make any kind of in store purchase with my plastic card, I'm just trying to transfer my funds in BTC. But as you guessed it's not working. The support told me (after 4 or 5 messages trying to clear that up) that I busted my limit in BTC. I told them that I never bought any BTC with my funds before, so they said the amount I put on the card also count toward my total (which doesn't make any sense), so I said, ok then if what you said is true, I should be able to buy the minimum and guess what, I am not. They never replied to me when I mentionned this.

I just tried their iOS app to see if I could buy BTC from there, using my funds, but I can't, there doesn't seem to be an option for that. Thanks anyway for the advice.

It indeed doesn't make any sense. If you go to the Buy Bitcoin page , you could see how much Used and the limits are 100 BTC (a month) . If you didn't surpass those limits (which I don't think you did ) I'd suggest posting in the threads I gave you above , I'm sure you will get your issue sorted out.
1409  Economy / Exchanges / Paxful working ? on: October 22, 2016, 12:15:44 PM
I heard that their CEO and CTO was both arrested in Miami for having cocaine and weapons with them and when I googled about it , I found that It's true https://www.deepdotweb.com/2016/09/28/ceo-cto-popular-bitcoin-exchange-arrested/

Is the website controlled by somebody else now ? Has anyone used the website this month (after the owners got arrested) as I don't want to take a risk to get scammed
1410  Economy / Digital goods / Re: 💳 Virtual VISA Card ✅ 0.50$ 🚀 Instant delivery 🅿️ PayPal-compatible on: October 22, 2016, 10:47:57 AM
If the card is not available in my country , could I still use it without having issues (without having my account being limited/banned in both your service and PayPal) ? I was thinking about using fake info while creating the card since you guys don't require any verification unless we reach 2500$
1411  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Pentagon: ISIS Will Use Chemical Weapons To Defend Mosul on: October 22, 2016, 10:05:07 AM
Where did they get chemical weapons? Will not. I think this statement is nothing more than propaganda. It is possible to justify future victims.

They clearly got them from those who fund them and who created the group in the first place and also who usually drop some weapons for them  Roll Eyes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-70jcmyZ0k
1412  Other / Politics & Society / Pentagon: ISIS Will Use Chemical Weapons To Defend Mosul on: October 22, 2016, 09:21:17 AM
The Islamic State group will use chemical weapons and are using human shields to defend themselves as Iraqi forces and allies advance into the group's stronghold of the Iraqi city of Mosul, the U.S. claimed Tuesday.

U.S. forces had detected a sulfur mustard agent on fragments of a shell that ISIS had fired against Kurdish forces Oct. 5, Reuters reported Tuesday while quoting an anonymous U.S. official. While the U.S. does not believe that ISIS possesses or has the capability to produce a significant stockpile of advanced chemical weapons, mustard agents can cause blistering of the skin and lungs. The Pentagon reportedly supplied over 50,000 gas masks in Iraq earlier this month.

1415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Create an open-source vote ICO list on: October 22, 2016, 07:08:27 AM
Is anyone interested in creating an ICO app that allows project submission and voting?
This would allow anyone to vote the projects up or down
This app should be free to list projects
Voting and project submission should requite an account
Something like a cross between wikipedia and reddit

Looking for a developer to help work on this

It could require much more resources then you might think If you want to do it right , therefore It won't worth investing much money/time on it. I mean how are you planning to prevent people (owners of that ICO) to vote multiple times ? IP , HWID , MAC addresses can be changed , people could also install emulators (Bluestacks for example) in their computers and start voting from there and there is much more methods to screw the system ... I can't think of any solution for multiple/spammy votes myself.
1416  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info Support Team Tips [From The Official Post] on: October 22, 2016, 06:51:51 AM
It's from last June and It doesn't seem like they give much attention to their users , otherwise they wouldn't upgrade to their new wallet and takeoff access to private keys and even to the ability to sign messages ..

Deposit issue

I have deposited $1500 yesterday but the system not yet credited into my balance,. Does anyone got issue like this ?

I have an account with Coince and I've received an email from them yesterday (I guess they are increasing their interest rates to 18% or something like that) which change the whole "Too good to be true"  to "REAL SCAM CONFIRMED" .
I know they was paying and they are probably still paying till this moment , but It's a ponzi scheme & the fact that they raised their interest rates means they are preparing their exit scam very well.
1418  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you ever lost Bitcoin? on: August 19, 2016, 06:12:50 AM
Have you ever lost Bitcoin?

If that happened, why?   Was it your own fault,  or were you scammed?

It's most of the time the user fault even if they insist that It wasn't , If you got scammed then It's probably because you didn't use an escrow , If your funds were in an exchange or online wallet and they got hacked , It's also your fault for doing that as It's not recommended at all (unless you kept them for like 24 hours and got bad luck of course)

I myself never got an issue storing my bitcoins and never lost anything , not even few satoshis.
