unfortunately he is already lose now  Cheesy

Thanks for sharing this!
He's a crazy guy though...
I can hardly imagine betting something like 13 000 dollars...
The guys actually won 65 000$! That's like 2 or 3 years of salary of low wage in developped countries!
Who in his right mind bets with such amount? ><
1403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Easiest way to convert money into BTC? on: January 18, 2017, 12:07:51 AM
Currently, the easiest way to convert money into bitcoins is through Localbitcoins.
You can use Coinbase also but it will take some of your personal Info.

It's not what is asked there though...
Local bitcoin is good, sure.
I mean I use it at least once a month whatever the change.
But here OP is asking for a DIRECT transformation. Like something immediate!
And sadly it just doesn't happen...
1404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the newest developments in Bitcoin? on: January 17, 2017, 10:39:34 PM
To be honest, the project I am looking forward to is this ---> http://www.augmentorsgame.com/ { I saw it on this forum under the Press section }

and I think this might be the killer App everyone is waiting for to open the door to mainstream adoption. If this goes viral like the PokeMon game,

then we will be in for a rough ride.
1. "Pokemon Go" went viral only because it the game has Pokemon in it, well known brand, known by pretty much anyone.
If the game was based around new concept of battle using something different that Pokemon, its success would be very limited.
Indeed. And the new aspect of the game was important too.
Now if you look around it seems like no one is playing this :p
Quote
2. I visited this site, and first thing I noticed: "TOKEN SALE" and "ICO", so they just want to develop a game and link it to their token, not base it on Bitcoin?

It seems like a huge scam yeah...
You can buy in game currency and all they're saying is that the tokens will be "supported by btc blockchain" (I don't see how and they don't explain it)
So that number of currency is limited and can be tracked.

For me it's clearly a scam. False investment.
And the entry price for the lowest package is 0.136BTC!!!! Who in his right mind would invest more than 100$ in a game made by unknown people without even a demo? xD
1405  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: January 17, 2017, 10:36:04 PM
if guns are outlawed only outlaws will have them Roll Eyes

Venezuela and Honduras are the nations with the highest firearm-related death rate. And both of these nations have some of the toughest gun ownership restriction in the world. And more over, there are just 6.4 guns per 100 people in Honduras, compared to 31.6 per 100 in Sweden. But there are 67.18 firearm-related deaths per 100,000 in Honduras, while the rate for Sweden is just 1.47 per 100,000.

Yeah but gun restriction laws must be supported by an actual legal system, an actual police and an actual economy behind.

Of course if your police is corrupted as fuck, that you're economy is completely destroyed, gun regulation won't change a thing.
In such countries, law don't apply.

Well most important innovation might be Segwit...
But we're still for it.

As far as I know there was a very cool rise in Segwit acceptance but now it's stagnating.
We're currently at around 25% of segwit acceptance.
So still 70% to go :/
1409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Easiest way to convert money into BTC? on: January 17, 2017, 10:16:34 PM
I have met with this problem several times and many others too met with this problem. We consider global accessibility a great advantage of BTC with very good reason. Technically, BTC is available from anywhere, anytime. The issue is coming down to communication. Assuming that your partner is not a BTC holder already, how do you have him exchange his money into BTC?

Even when BTC has these advantages, other payment processors have not and when people have to exchange money from any other payment processor into BTC, transaction issue comes from the other payment processor like PP holding back money or certain banks do not execute transactions in certain time intervals. How do we get around this?

I thought a payment processor where you can pay with a simple SMS or call from your phone credits and receive some BTC would be very useful.

I see what you mean, and there is none...

I had to add the Paypal payment possibility simply because of what you're saying. No matter what BTC isn't that easy to buy.
You can buy services and products in BTC only if you're already a user. Otherwise...
So if you can, go for Paypal, it's not as good as BTC but it's still not the usual banking system so...
1410  Economy / Speculation / Re: Trump's inauguration day on: January 17, 2017, 10:10:04 PM
Is bitcoin expected to rise immediately on the 20th?

I'd rather say it might go down...
Trump might become a problem.
Simply because Trump is against China. He wants nothing linked to China.
And BTC is linked to China...

I'm just saying that you're barely humans

 Smiley

Yes! they should have stayed at home while OUR ARMIES are bombing the shit out of them after OUR COUNTRIES AND GOVERNMENTS destabilized entire regions of the world...
You're the kind of people saying USA should have never helped Europe in WW2 I guess no?

We're not all from USA, you know?  Cheesy

Good point though, you made thy mess, ya fix it  Tongue

Well vast majority are from USA or Europe, and both are fully responsible for this mess as you say!
I don't know if we can fix it...
But what's sure is that we're not "victims".
We're freaking aggressors.
1412  Other / Politics & Society / Re: About 100 feared drowned after boat sinks off Libya on: January 17, 2017, 06:03:42 PM
Wonderful news! Close to a hundred invaders perished, while trying to invade the European continent. These guys must have stayed at home, rather than spending $10,000 to $15,000 in purchasing one-way tickets to Europe.

What is money if you are living in hell. Libya is in a hellish condition with the poor having no worth and constant wars with food shortage everywhere then you will surely risk your life to get to somewhere else where you can find peace of heart and mind. If I were them I will also do the same, if only peace condition is good and the food is not scarce then they will no longer dream of going out of the country.
I am no denying that Libya & Syria are war torn countries unfit for having normal life... but why all these refugees instead of seeking help from very rich Muslim countries - like Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia are fleeing to Europe? Which is far more exotic place for them? Aren't most of them Muslims, raised in similar environment and living by the same laws as their Muslim brethren?

They already are. Stable Muslim countries are litteraly flooded with refugees. They welcome as many as they can but there are dozens of millions of refugees fleeing OUR ARMIES in Middle East...
1413  Other / Politics & Society / Re: About 100 feared drowned after boat sinks off Libya on: January 17, 2017, 06:00:43 PM
The more I come on this part of the forum the more I lose faith in humanity...

You see a report saying the 100 people are dead, and people actually answer it's "wonderful"...

I mean I'm not "devastated" by this news, millions of people die every week. But I'm not happy of that and no one in his right mind should be...
Most of you are pure psychos. You will all die trying to protect a system that is blatantly unfair... But just because you're on the good side of it. You will die for this but the worst part is that your children will have the worst possible world they could hope for, just because you're far too selfish to understand the reality and face it like decent humans.

And I'm not saying "you're racist" or "we should all welcome the migrants". I'm just saying that you're barely humans and are without a doubt the kind of people responsible for the doom of the West. Like every Empire has been doomed by its privileged and decaying citizens.
1414  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Party Time: George Soros reportedly lost about $1 billion after Trump's election on: January 17, 2017, 05:55:06 PM

Awesome. Absolutely awesome.
You know another time where there was no or really low regulation?
1929.
No rule about wages.
No rule about employment.
You could do whatever you wanted however you wanted.

Ever read the grapes of wrath?
Cause that wasn't exactly a no unemployment world...

Oh really? So just all regulations went out the window. And you give me an example of the biggest financial crash when all properties prices went down due to stock market overleveraging, caused by a central bank controlled financial system.
A central bank with nearly 0 regulation yes indeed.
They had to report to no one and no one controlled their activity.
As for the rating system which was completely uncontrolled.

Huge lack of regulation here I agree
Quote
But guess what without central banks, there was no economic collapse. Because the economy was "decentralized".
Claiming "if there was not that, it wouldn't have collapsed" isn't really an argument you understand that no?
Quote

That is right, once you centralize something, you have a command & control economy. And if those people at the top fuck up, then you are all fucked.
Unless the bottom has a control on the top. This is the concept of democracy, problem is there isn't a single real democracy in the world, Switzerland is what's closer to a democracy but even Switzerland isn't a democracy. USA, and whole Europe are oligarchies.
Quote
That is why a decentralized economy is better, because it doesnt depend on a few people doing the right thing. Everyone can participate.
Which is also the case in a centralized democracy.
And you do realize that decentralized doesn't mean deregulated don't you?
I mean, those are really two different things...
Quote
But you are probably a socialist, so I am just wasting my time arguing with you.

What are you doing in Bitcoin, if you believe the fully regulated financial system is perfect for you?
Oh ok no you don't understand the difference it seems...
Regulation isn't centralization.
You do realize that Bitcoin is heavily regulated right? I mean it's FAR more regulated than the normal economy... And that's also why I love it.

Please look up a dictionary, look for the definitions of those 2 words then come back and we might discuss again.

1417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wallets without fees and stupid people on: January 16, 2017, 02:51:21 PM
Coinbase and Xapo cover the fees for users so newbies prefer to use them than other kinds of wallet. Well, we are all people and people love to use things which are given free. However, most of the third party wallet are not as secure as private wallets so that I never choose to use them. When you have learnt many things about Bitcoin, you will realize that holding Bitcoin for your own is always better

Not for micro transactions.
I don't care maybe losing 10$ of btc but earning 30 cents every transactions...
1418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Wallets without fees and stupid people on: January 16, 2017, 01:15:25 PM
Hey guys!

I opened a thread not long ago to ask for opinions about web wallets!
I clearly asked for a wallet where I had no need to pay fees. I got multiple answers and I thank everyone for that.

I had a very unpleasant AND stupid private message from a Hero member so I thought about sharing both my tests and his message to you all.
There is no wallet without fees!!
And even if there would be one what do you think is going to happen with your transaction if you're not even willing to pay a single satoshi??!!
Right the miners will give a fuck about your transaction!!
Always amazes me how stupid and ignorant people like you can be.

So in addition to the special rudeness of the sender who prefered insults to explanation, there is also the simple fact that there actually ARE wallets without fees.
I tried a bit Xapo and it's rather good and WITHOUT FEES but of course you got no control over your money.

Greenadress seems like the best for me but it does have a fee.

Share your wallets ^^
1419  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Party Time: George Soros reportedly lost about $1 billion after Trump's election on: January 15, 2017, 12:31:49 PM

This is complete bullshit.
Why in hell should it be the case?

No it's you sir who is full of shit.

There is NO REASON that you would have a "job for you" in a global perspective! Why would it be the case?
You're telling me that without regulation there wouldn't be any unemployment?  Cheesy

Yes I am telling exactly that. Without regulation, everyone would be employed.

Even a 5 year old can figure out, that if you don't restrict labor, then you will have labor.

In the 1800 in the USA everyone was employed. Now if the racism of course and the slavery would have not existed, then everyone could have been employed. Because regulations were simply nonexistent.

Try starting up a company, and see how much paperwork you have to do. I have a friend, and he tells me that 80% of his business is actually interacting with the government (taxes, health inspection, labor inspection, accounting, license management, going to bureaucrats for various permits, etc)

If none of that would exist, then pretty much anyone could start up a business, and certainly everyone would find a job in those businesses.

The regulations give power to monopolies, and monopolies dont want competitors. Do you get it?

Awesome. Absolutely awesome.
