1401  Economy / Exchanges / Re: trading futures on binance exchange? on: January 11, 2021, 12:01:59 AM
Futures market or leveraged trading is extremely risk. I am avoiding it these days.
But if you want to jump in, I suggest you to use first lower leverage if you are newbie or just starting to learn trading.
Risk management is a must. You should calculate your position size for every trade you open, like maybe use 5-10% portfolio size for every trade position, always place a stop loss to avoid liquidation.
Losing in futures is common that's why placing a stop loss and having a price target is always important.

He needs to use smaller funds first in order to get the tricks how to play with trading futures. It is not an overnight skill that you can get here. If you are not ready, don't go big. You need to train yourself first on how things are moving in this market.
1402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What are top ico ieo or sales website which has good reputation and reliability on: January 05, 2021, 11:41:10 PM
In my opinion, aside from checking those sites, it is helpful if you will check their respective threads here in the forum, if there's any. Because that will give you idea if the project has the capability to materialize their goals and also, you can get insights if the team is just for quick gain or not. You will see that on how they respond to the questions thrown to them. Most of the ICO/IEO ranking websites are paid or they are biased with their ratings. So better do your own research by studying the project itself.
1403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hamster powered races on: January 04, 2021, 08:34:58 PM
Actually this hamster powered races game relies on luck to win, so for me it is the same as slot games. But what makes it interesting is because it
involves a very cute hamster, we can see on the video promotion how cute the hamster is. This may be what attracts some people to try this game,
to provide entertainment and a new atmosphere we can indeed try.

Indeed! This is a refreshing game and a good diversion from the classic casino games. And this one, you just hope that the hamster you are rooting for will give you the luck.  Grin Since it is eth-based game, maybe the reason why the owners can't actively promote in the main gambling board. Maybe, if they will add bitcoin, they can surely make their thread in the main board.
1404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Apollo Fintech's Gold Secured Currency [GSX] backed by Gold on: January 04, 2021, 01:43:58 AM
@Crypto-Info nice catch.

Total Asset Backing (Gold Reserves): $1.4 billion USD

Benefits

  • Backed
GSX is a stable coin backed by gold and gold-rich land

OP. Could you show us any certificates or third-party audit to support this claim? Without any proofs to support the $1.4bn bold claim about the Gold Reserves, this project will be marked as a SCAM!

Classic scam of gold-related project. $1.4B is a huge money and if you have that amount, guess they should be spending some money for marketing. But seems that the OP is nowhere to be seen. But on their website, they said they are set to trade in these below exchanges. Interesting if Binance will accept this project. They should remove those logos as it is misleading. Should put once they are listed.

1405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Amepay raised 84.6 million in their IEO on: January 03, 2021, 09:35:54 PM
but after seeing the amount of token distribution to bounty and airdrop participants, it is quite large. it's just my bad feeling that after opening the trade at BKEX or Bithumb the price could go down. but I hope not.
but with such a large volume and demand now I am sure even though later many people who sell prices will not dump too badly, at least still above the IEO price. better wait because there are only 3 days left

Expect that dump will happen as that's what bounty hunters are waiting for. Not many of them will keep on holding the token. After all, a bounty hunter expects to get paid after the campaign. So if the price will go up after the dump, it means the project is quite strong. Let's see...
1406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OTC Over The Counter BTC Trading? on: December 30, 2020, 10:02:45 PM
MicroStrategy share price is at all time high because shareholders are buying their stock because of the bitcoin bullish market. MicroStrategy is making more money through their shareholders than bitcoin.

You agree?

This is possible because share purchases don't mean an immediate bitcoin purchase.

It's not like there's a bot there trading every dollar they earn for bitcoin or exchanging invested money into bitcoin in real time.

That's even better though. If they're earning more money thanks to the bull market they become stronger as a company and more popular. A company that made a lot of money through bitcoin is going to raise interest among other companies.

Stakeholders should be very careful and should closely follow the market as you can't expect that it will be the continuous gain all throughout. There will be stopping point or decrease of price in the market at some point, but we don't know when. Need to be careful these days.
1407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The reason behind the XRP's 2nd wave of hard dump! on: December 25, 2020, 09:30:04 PM
They had it only for the US customers. I get the idea that exchanges will stop trading operation for their users that are residing in the US because the lawsuit is specific from that country. It is bitstamp and one of the largest exchange that we have. What if other big exchanges also announce the same thing.

Even if the announcement would only halt trading for XRP on US users, still that's a huge loss for the XRPs market. A market that will be halt because of the lawsuit and might be followed by several delisting for the safety of the exchanges that supports it.

This lawsuit is really big blow to XRP market. Won't be surprised if other exchanges will follow thru like Binance.US. I am wondering, is there a way for the XRP team to resolve this faster? I mean, can they make a deal with the SEC so as not to prolong this lawsuit?
1408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shall I HODL DOGE? on: December 22, 2020, 11:55:50 PM
Dogecoin is only really useful if you're going to make a lot of small transactions and want to save on fees. It is not something worth holding as a long term investment. When you look at it's price in BTC it is down 35% over the past year. It has really high inflation and no cap on total supply so over time it's value will keep decreasing.

That is my take also with doge. I never consider this coin to hold for long-term. But I use this coin for transfer purposes from one exchange to another. But never crossed my mind to store this coin for long term.
1409  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I start scalping with a 500$? on: December 21, 2020, 11:16:02 PM
very possible, $ 500 for me is a big capital, especially if you play with 10x leverage,
then $ 500 will easily become $ 1000 in one trade, it is very risky,
but if you have trading knowledge, then you will be rich.
Starting now with 500$ is good capital and with a bit of luck it can go easy x4 up. Investing in 3-4 projects that you thing will do good in next year will make you a good amount of money.

Yes, don't put all your eggs in one basket so to speak. $500 is indeed a good amount of capital to start with. Even day trading with btc will give you good profit as long as you are sticking to the simple rule of trading, buy low sell high. Also, when you choose the alts to do your scalping strategy, I believe it is better to trust those established alts rather than new ones. Very risky especially if you encounter a pump and dump coin.
1410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BRO] [WEBRADIO] 😍 BITRAD.IO 😍 - ICO LIVE - Stream diffrent - Webradio on: December 20, 2020, 09:49:12 PM
I restarted and have been staking again over the last month.  Not sure what caused it to start staking again.   I think this is a great project.  A lot of great crypto projects need more public relations work.  I think this would make a great news story on a major TV/cable network.

Is the dev team still active on this project? Looked for this thread as I remember I have account on their website and found out I still have some BRO coins left. So will start listening again while I'm doing my work and earning even dust of bro coins. At least get something here. And they are still listed to one exchange.
1411  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Follow a trading process. on: December 18, 2020, 11:50:26 PM
In general, it is. In life, we often choose the result and neglect the process itself. We forget that it is precisely because we like the process that we get the best results.
People often fall into the trap of dependence on the outcome, resulting in only disappointment in life. After all, if you enjoy the process, then the unsuccessful result will not affect your mood in any way, because you have already got yours.

That's nice perspective here. And yes, it is true. Like the saying - "the journey is better than the destination". We need to experience the actual process, like for example here, the trading, so we can gain insights and tricks that later on, we may need it. We may fail in the first, second try, but in the succeeding activities, we know already what needs to be done. And I guess, it is self-fulfilling if you learn such trick on your own. No one can steal it from you and you can use that for the rest of your life.
1412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Don't wait for the market, start selling in parts! on: December 17, 2020, 11:49:55 PM
Selling in parts is good but it all depends on when a trader, hodler or investor got their tokens. ONE thing is certain, never buy green candles if you cannot understand market waves. And also, always take profits. Shorting, longing positions and also taking profits are decision skills you develop as you trade. So focus and remember to do your own research so you can make positive decisions as regards your investment.

The important thing to remember is the simple rule of trading - buy low, sell high. So it is pretty straightforward that don't sell you coin when it is below your buying price. I know, it is quite complicated if you want more profit as you will think that what if it will go up more? That's human greed in play and that's understandable, because we all have that kind of inclination. But if you have immediate needs, you can sell some while you are still in the gaining side. It is not hard to decide if you know, you need some money in the next few days and you need to cash out some.
1413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum vs Eth2 on: December 15, 2020, 10:13:50 PM
Eth to eth 2.0 conversion will be automatic and basically they are one and the same coin so why do we even need this comparison?
Secondly we need to understand that eth 2.0 is a set of upgrades and improvements in the eth network that can take 1 to 2 more years to take place.
Even when you have wanna become ethereum 2.0 validators and what you need to deposit your current ethereum to the staking deposit contract. The transition from the ethereum POW to the POW will be happening and I thought that also if this comparison is not really needed at all. Ethereum could also go for the hybrid system that will make both become co-exist.

Yes, if there will be eth 2.0, will the previous version be still operational? I don't know much about what will truly happen, but I thought eth 2.0 is the improved version of the first version. So once this 2.0 version is fully working, then the old one will be obsolete??
1414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The bounty scam will gradually go away on: December 13, 2020, 11:50:57 PM
Bounty scam is going nowhere, scammers will doing their work, trying to use hunters and running after cashing out, hunters should just keep doing thorough verification before joining any bounty, that's the only way to avoid been scammed.

Even thorough verification, they will still be scammed if the dev team decided to run away with their stash. The bounty scam will go away if there will be no more hunters that are willing to participate their program. I think that's the only way they will be stopped. If only participants will just join bitcoin-paying campaigns handled by reputable BMs here, then only serious projects will eventually make their campaigns here in the forum.

1417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Apple co-founder and Blockchain Project on: December 10, 2020, 10:46:03 PM
I don't know if you guys noticed that we are talking about the project created by the man who indirectly causes the cryptocurrency market correction back in the year 2017 when he publicly declared that he sold all his Bitcoin holding aside that I check Wozx concept it just something that has to do with energy which means the coin experience surge in price because of the name behind it.
Dont follow the crowd guys.

Maybe he already changed his perception with crypto and I guess everybody does that kind of turn around. If his platform will indeed explore energy efficiency projects, then, I have the full support on this. Definitely, Binance will pick this one up and will list this coin in the near future. If that will happen, their price will further increase.

As it is backed by known personality with noble mission, I hope this project will walk the talk and not just pure talk.
1418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BITSZ] bitszcoin.io - Cryptocurrency that promotes online education on: December 10, 2020, 09:46:16 PM
So we will be seeing another abandoned project here? Because if you will check the scam accusation thread, indeed they copied exactly one project. They have no time creating their own because based from their roadmap their ICO started 2 months ago. Curious if they collected money from this sale?

Don't expect that they will list their token here as published on their website.

1419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Polkadot going to Kill Ethereum? on: December 10, 2020, 08:57:34 PM
Polkadot has its own efficiencies and while many projects stemmed from it, many of which acted as validating Polkadto's value to the community which was expressed in the token price and market dominance I still think ETH2.0 is something more valuable. While it is true that ETH2.0 is in the making, because it is the earliest blockchain I think people will likely side with it over something that's relatively new like Polkadot. Similar to how BTC Cash hasn't taken over BTC, with BTC being the 'Gold standard' of crypto, ETH is the standard of blockchain.

If a particular network is trying to compete or overpower eth, they will have long journey to even get the same popularity of eth usage. And eth team is still active and continuously improving their platform, so I don't think a new network can even surpass their journey at the moment. But it is good for the market to have other options as it will create competition and they will do their best to serve the community. Now, it is up to the developer where they will build their project according to their priority of needs.
1420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TBD on: December 10, 2020, 07:58:10 PM
It is nice to see that Crypto-city team didn't give up to this project and worked behind to finally launch this platform. With this re-launch, you will be using PETAL instead of CIR. When are you going to change the name to PETAL in exchanges? Is there a swap happening? Right now, CIR has no buy order in Unnamed. Once you changed it to PETAL, maybe the trading will be active again.
