Ok I am a retard I know. How much did he pay back here? The transaction says 0.6. This sucks ass but none of this surprises me.

Bitcoin is already universal virtual currency, widely used in all over the world. Of course, we are not mainstream yet but coming closer to this goal. In the long term I'm sure that everybody will accept Bitcoin as standard payment option because other payment services can't offer to users what we can (fast transaction, security, anonymity, no banks involved etc.).
Yes, there are people using bitcoin all over the world but "universal" kind of implies that everyone uses it, and that's nowhere near true. I would also argue that bitcoin isn't getting much use as a currency. No one buys stuff at the grocery store in bitcoin, gas, utilities, rent, sex toys, all of these things are paid for 99.999% of the time with fiat. Bitcoin has a loyal following, yes, but people just don't want to spend it.

A market cap can't be either bullish or bearish. I don't understand that. Dominos Pizza has a market cap of 6 billion; Coca-Cola has a market cap of what, 100 billion? You cannot compare the two with respect to bullishness. And good luck trying to analyze cryptocurrency. At least with stocks you can look at earnings and things about the business behind the stocks. Crypto is pretty much all technical analysis.

Your bitcointalk account isn't worth anywhere near what you're asking. Newbie accounts are worth exactly ZERO. Basically what you need are altcoins or something digital that can be sold easily if you default.

Bitcoin is going to continue to be a shitty currency as long as we have price spikes like we've had. The US dollar doesn't jump or drop like that. There is inflation, yes, but the dollar doesn't lose value as fast as cryptocurrency can and does.
I hate spending bitcoin. There's absolutely no reason to, for me. I've got fiat and a debit card and all the places I want to buy things from take dollars, not bitcoin. I love it as digital gold, though.

<snippage> I just got done dumping these tokens, yesterday. I have some dust left. I'll buy ETH again when I actually find a use for them. Come up with a DAPP or smart contract that I actually have some interest in using. I'll be the consumer that you ETH bagholders dream of having. And no, whatever that Pyramid scheme you have in your signature doesn't qualify as something that I absolutely must have. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) This is exactly the thing that keeps me from investing in pretty much any of the altcoins. A lot of risk and questionable utility is what you get. I know ETH has had tons of hype but I really have no use for it, as I won't be using DAPPs and I don't even really understand the advantages. I'm not a tech geek like so many people here (and I respect that, believe me). And with bitcoin on the rocket ship, that's where I'm putting my money. Some of it.

Yes, I'm definitely holding for an increase--I've been in and out of bitcoin for months now and I think I'm done selling it and I'm done with the altcoin scene, which I only half-heartedly believe in. The price action we've had recently is just wild, and I want to see where we're going. Especially now that the halving is almost upon us.
Yah, it's just people taking profits. I'm very curious about where the price is going--I'm well aware that the halving is coming up, but I did not expect us to be this high this fast. It's a bit breathtaking, and market crashes generally happen after a period of euphoria. And that's the best way to describe this, market euphoria or bitcoin euphoria. Kinda like 2013 all over again.

Why do you want your account back so badly? What's the importance to you? What would you do different this time, assuming that getting your account back is an option? And it might not be.

I'd definitely buy if I had some spare change just laying around, but unfortunately I don't. Not going to sell any of my sig campaign earnings though. Which makes me think: if bitcoin went to $10,000 would anyone still be paying 30k sats/post anymore? Would faucets still be operating?
Speculation definitely. But the reason it's important to me is that it's not owned by the government-- and it's global. I do also use it to send money to family through Circle but my family doesn't live far away.

That's a good thing, no? If you want bitcoin to catch on as a currency then it needs to be adopted by the unwashed masses. Boy this thread brought out the bears.

We did break through 700, and I don't mean 2013 either. Depending on which exchange you're looking at, we did it yesterday. As far as staying above it, yeah we'll get there soon. I think the price is just a hair under as I write this.

OP he didn't scam you. Even if the feedback he left isn't true (I don't know either way), there's no scam here. And you might want to not post several times in a row, as that's grounds for suspension.

Thanks yahoo, I added feedback for the alt just for my own edification. Agreed, rep section is deader than dead.

This is to be expected, and the slope of this rise has my intestines all aquiver. People should sell and take some money off the table. It wouldn't be a bad thing if we got stuck at another plateau like the $430 one we were at for months.

Noob. No payment method given. ASAP.
Yer out, dude. What, are you panic buying or just scamming?
Your account isn't worth anything, dude. Someone would have to be a complete sucker to give you any bitcoin whilst holding your account. Also, what's the interest rate you're paying?
Edit: good luck with the donation. ^^^^^^^

Yeah, really. This thread is 6 years old.
And this topic comes up periodically. I'd like my landlord to accept bitcoin, Walmart, Walgreens, and Starbucks. Then we will know bitcoin has arrived.

It's probably because you, like most people, only buy an asset when it's rising. My guess is that you're not buying any of the decent altcoins that have been pummeled lately. You have to buy low and sell high, but it takes balls to buy something when it's in the tank.
