14041  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Alternatives to Ckpool.org on: May 15, 2020, 03:39:03 PM
they have run for years pretty much anonymously.  both you and the pool are  anonymous.  you only give a btc address.

They have always paid when a block is hit.  they are really low hash  last few years and do not hit a lot of blocks.

It is a shame as it is a perfect pool  for my s9 space heater builds.

I would not mind s9 space heater on their pool and on solo.ckpool.
14042  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: I will be making some s9 space heaters. on: May 15, 2020, 01:57:22 PM

Looks like I can use braiins and do 5.7 th at 499 watts stable and pretty quiet.

They will be set up to do 2 boards not one.

I have not been able to get the bitmain firmware to do what I wanted so I went with braiins plus.

at 8.1 volts for each board and freq 410 here are numbers

old info below
Okay I got my first one setup to test.

Decided to use braiins plus and not bitmain firmware.

Although I have a few that can be bitmain.

it looks to be stable at 292 watts and 3.3th
very early numbers here show it just showing up on my pool. so it says 1.5 th I will post more info in the morning.

I hope to have 4-6 ready to ship on monday.

14043  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Alternatives to Ckpool.org on: May 15, 2020, 12:53:08 PM
mmpool.org
solo.ckpool.org

mmpool.org is your best choice as you can earn and if you actually hit the block you get all the tx fees as a bonus.

so each and every block you could get quite a lot of money yet you still earn on a steady basis.

14045  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: combining 2 C13 plugs on: May 15, 2020, 12:22:55 AM
Hey guys,

short question: we have PDU's installed that only have C13 plugs. Is there a way to combine the power of those plugs? because a current miner we use draws more power compared to the rated power on the plug AND has a C19 connection.

so far, all my ideas are not very "legal"..

thanks!

Not to code  edit cheaply.

what is the pdu plug to the wall? l6-30p? or l6-20p?  is the mining  unit 3000 or 3300 watts?

I am going to donate some of my free time, instead of satoshis. Currently I am working on dashboards for CKpool.
You can see current progress here: http://35.226.27.67:3000/d/_afS1cRMk/ckpool-home

There are two dashboards:

It is in development state, so there can be some downtime. If anyone have any suggestion, if there is something missing, redundant, or some bug, feel free to tell.

Dude black background is too dark for my tired old eyes.

I can't see how to go to a white background.

Other then that it looks nice.

I like it
14048  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: May 14, 2020, 05:42:21 PM
we are 11 blocks behind 'normal' pace

at block 1008 of this jump which was the ½ ing block 630000 we were at +53 blocks

so we dropped 64 blocks from block 1008 to block 1366

those 358 blocks should have been 358+64 = 422

so 358/422 - 1 = -15.1% if we do this till the end of the 2016 epoch

we will be -10% for this jump

and coins will be up maybe 10%  so 20% in favor of miners  and the ½ ing is a 50% loss.

so maybe we drop 10% again. next jump

so our 16.1 does 14.5 then 13.1  maybe price finally shifts about 10.5k.

so a diff of 13.1 with a price of 10.5k on June 5th is my hope.

0.0348215 is well on the way for a second 6 months of payment for the server.

every little bit helps.

1F8JWHPVt2FzxeAyPDUP4hmeRPweJZEFYj

thank you to all that  put in.

goal is to send six more months of server fees. which will mean 1 year was paid by us miners.

The remaining funds will be held as rainy day coins. I will send 0.01 to the lost block miner once we have paid in enough for 1 year of server fees.

Hold other coin in case a a lost block or down the road about  May of next year pay for more server costs.

14050  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: May 14, 2020, 01:43:28 PM
- 0.0527%.

so. from block 1008. we were at +53

block 1353 we are -1

so we did 345. and should have done 399

thus 345/399 -1 = -13.53%. since the 1/2 ing

price is 9650 it was 8500 at  1/2 ing   so 9650/8500 = +13.5%

some value is back

yes
14053  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: May 14, 2020, 04:09:23 AM
we are dropping harder now .

before 1/2 ing we were plus 53 blocks we are now plus 11-13

so,we dropped 40 blocks in 2 days.

124/144 = 86% thats 14%

we have 809 blocks to go.

a 14% drop is about 109 block short fall.

so 109-11 = 98

so it projects to

1918/2016

that is close to -5% this jump.  which means we need about 14250 price to be even if we mine.

does not mean much.  but a -5%. and then a neg 15% will help.  along with coins pushing to 10500.

so a diff.    of 15.2.    may 18-19
then a diff of. 13.0.     june 4-5
14054  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 2% fee solo mining 255 blocks solved! on: May 14, 2020, 04:05:03 AM
I feel a little bit ashamed that i'm not also pay 0.01 right know for the server. But i will do so, as soon as possible  Wink

Thanks for showing support, by the way, 0.01 BTC is not the minimum amount for donations, people should send what they can afford, 1$ 10$ anything they are willing to contribute with and if someone is worried about the network fees, put 1-2 sats per byte and let the order sit there for days, no rush, we did cover the first 6 months for the server, I believe we should also pay the extra 6 months and CK got once funds reach the threshold again, with that being said even those who can't or don't want to donate can still use the pool, don't be ashamed, mine on.

yep.

we have
0.019615

would like to grow it to 0.1  in under six months and send ck more coin for the server.

we gave him 0.09 which paid for 6 months ck put up 6 months so we are paid for a year.

I wont grow the fund too big so slow nickels so to speak are good.
14055  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Antminer S17 pro fixed Frequency and Voltage default firmware on: May 14, 2020, 02:47:12 AM
I got this to work on my sick t17+.  It would always drop one board and run at 43th vs 64 th

I got it to use lower volts and the same frequency.

it is doing 17.3 volts and 715 freq.

if it holds it is a huge improvement. as it would over heat at 18.3 volts and 715 frequencies which auto tune would do.

so i gain 20-21 th and the gear is really efficient. I will monitor this overnight.
14056  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: May 13, 2020, 08:58:05 PM
Last year the ltc ½ ing took more then 30 days to drop the diff.

July 17 2019 the diff was 16.44 M = peak

Aug 14 2019 the diff was 13.44
Sept 17 2019 the diff was 10.90
Oct   15 2019 the diff was 9.41
Nov  19 2019 the diff was 6.13

Dec 20 2019 the dif was   4.72  M = low

all info was found here:

https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/litecoin-difficulty.html#1y

many power contracts end:

on May 31
or June 30

so drops will follow.  price needs to be 15000 to negate the ½ ing for us miners.
14057  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Z9 40ksol with psu on: May 13, 2020, 01:31:05 PM
I want to sell my Z9 40ksol with psu, have 10 units and all of them are working and are in very good condition.
I am located in Belgium, can be picked up and will accept any reasonable offer.

contact me on my email: keflinds0079@gmail.com

Good price was offered for 10 Z9 units.   However only BTC advanced payment was accepted. No escrow or other method.

seems legit

yeah right as legit as a three dollar bill.

To all this is a classic scam. Insisting on the shipping fees to go direct to seller vs escrow .
14058  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 2% fee solo mining 255 blocks solved! on: May 13, 2020, 01:24:53 PM
Purchase for new server has been confirmed. I've purchased a year's worth since I can't see the demand for this pool dying any time soon now. Should take 3 days for them to provision the hardware I requested, then a couple of days to get the pool up and running, all going well. Note that as exciting as this is for me, you miners won't notice anything different whatsoever. However, the relatively east USA positioning of the server I've confirmed means that DE miners will be over 60ms ping time better off than they were, and probably under 100ms total. That means that both EU and US miners will have low latency to the pool, obviating the need for a DE server, so best of both worlds for the bulk of the miners.

Nice. with willie from germany 🇩🇪 pledging more funds to rainy day fund.

we will be able to cover server costs for quite a while.

Things are looking up.

Hey guys lets hit a block.
14059  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 2% fee solo mining 255 blocks solved! on: May 13, 2020, 12:57:25 PM

the wallet shows the balance as 0.0193615

see screen shot

Note :

we would still want to get some more coin over time.  the rainy day fund is 0.0193615

so if you want you can put a bit more in over the next few days, or weeks ,or even months.

this will be the address to fund :

okay lets say bitdeer has literally 30% of the hash.

if there is 120eh 30% is 36eh

if they add  6 eh

they jump the network 5%

and they then have

42/126 which is. 33% of the network.

so they lose as they went from

30% to 33% of coins a gain of 3 %

but the cost was jumping the diff 5%

I see a huge diff  crash if coins dont jump up in price bigly.

maybe i am wrong never know.
