14041  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad days ahead for the European single currency on: July 06, 2015, 07:20:38 PM

well not really, the fault it is not with the ECB or europe zone, but with greece only, so they are the dead weight here and removing the diseased part of the european would only bring benefit to the euro union, since they do not need to pay loan to a country that can't pay it back ever

Is my understanding of things incorrect? Isn't it true that no country will ever be able to pay all of its debts back? Ever!

well yes, but i was talking about another type, of loan, about the loan that it was lended to save their ass, not about the standard loan that every country of the europe get, because of the vicious circle that is sustaining the whole fiat ecosystem

well i'm not talking about italy and spain, but especially romania and bulgaria, the countries that you mentioned in the other quote

Romania and Bulgaria are two of the most corrupt and crime-ridden nations in the European continent. I agree that the GDP is growing in these nations. But that is solely due to the European Union subsidies and grants. And these two countries don't have the resources to sustain the GDP growth. What happened in Greece will occur in Romania and Bulgaria as well. But in their case, the effects will be even worse.  Grin

i don't know, guessing is good and all but the fact is that greece has done something very wrong compared to other, to be in this condition, and they were in a bad situation since 2004 at least which is not too far away from their entry into Europe(2002)

they did a mistake in "recruiting" Greece, on the other hand italy and spain were not in a bad shape before the euro union, i'm not sure about spain, but seeing how i live in italy i'm sure about it

I know government agencies read here and reddit.

This thread is asking how to hide income.
I know giving the OP free advice seems harmless.

It is not you could get into trouble.
So please keep it in mind.

Back to me I worked for the IRS from 1983 to 1984.

I left and got a degree in accounting. My Mom's worked at the IRS for 27 years and retired from them in 1987.  My wife worked for the IRS for 33 years and retired from them in 2011.

So

A: Be careful what you write here
 B: Threads are looked at.
C:  People can ask questions to get you in trouble.

D:  This thread's question could get you in trouble.

i suspected that some of those IRS guys were watching this place, but i didn't know that you was one of those, surprising nonetheless

i think it's better to talk about anonimity in private from now
14043  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What does wallet.dat contains exactly ? on: July 06, 2015, 07:06:31 PM
the wallet.dat is a file that store your private key

that thing has to do with the 100 address pool, after that you need to do a backup, because he cannot keep the mem about other additional income

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=307963.msg3306298#msg3306298

I personally have only six receiving adresses and only few transactions , most likely 15 or something . (sent two times and all others are receiving transactions)
Basically I don't have to make any backup since I installed Bitcoin Core unless I reach 100 , correct ?

yeah but what i'm doing to avoid losing precious bitcoin, is saving my wallet, everytime it get bigger, have you noticed that when you create a new address or after some time your wallet.dat "gain" some kb? well at that point i usually do a fresh back up

however i don't like to do many back, because sometime for no reason the wallet get corrupted, especially when you send fund that are not confirmed, i don't know why, but it dead happen two time already, i was lucky that besides that i was still able to move my coin from the corrupted one..
14044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do wallets detect fork and warn for it? on: July 06, 2015, 06:59:30 PM
We need functional and fully trustable non-full clients or else we die.

We do.  its called Electrum.

Huh, did you were here a couple days ago? All SPV wallets suffered from a high risk of non valid transactions due the blockchain split, and guess what, Electrum is a SPV wallet. Basically any wallet that wasn't an updated core wallet was under risk.

You:  We need non-full clients.
Me:  There are some.
You:  But they aren't full clients.

SPV wallets can't be fully trusted as seen 2 days ago.

never bothered with those lighwallet, i know they can be good for newcomers who do not want to dl 40 giga or something, but even with a 8mega connection, it isn't a pain in the ass to download the whole chain...

everything is 40 giga nowadays, game movie, we are not in 2005 anymore....

Nothing can ever be "fully trusted" except your own node if you want to take that thinking to its logical conclusion.
However, for most of the time and especially smaller payments, SPV works great.

i still think that miners should only use core for their mining activity

14046  Economy / Speculation / Re: How SOON will the BTC rally begin? on: July 06, 2015, 06:51:23 PM
Has already begun, trolls quiet and price rising, join while you can or regret later

i'm not sure, it could really be the hype around greece and nothing else, remember that we did already touch this price and 300 too, then we dropped like dead weight

if we can stay above 300 for quite some time, then you can talk about a bullish trend, but until then i'll be conservative
14047  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predictions about Bitcoin Price on Halving block ? on: July 06, 2015, 04:36:45 PM
the halving is only a much more warranty that the price will rise, basically it give us the upper hand on the supply and demand war, but i think that the price will rise to a high level not for the halving

so the halving will only play the "tip of the iceberg" game
14048  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll requesting inputs from experienced investors. IDEAL % of Wealth in Bitcoin and Alts on: July 06, 2015, 04:32:16 PM
for me is 100% bitcoin, the altcoin fiasco has became more true after that the whole altsection turned to be a giant hole for malicious dev with plenty of viruscoin, even if there are some big coin that are still trustable, i see no point in investing in those, when i can put everything in the best one

maybe I can diversify with Monero because it does offer anonymity ...
14049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: #EarnBitcoin on: July 06, 2015, 04:26:22 PM
I'm waiting for STEAM to accept Bitcoin, who's with me? Grin

why waiting for that if you have something like https://steambitshop.com/? they have not all the games from steam, but still there is a great repertory
Don't you understand, if I buy in site like that the price must be more expensive than buying on Steam itself.

uhm no, they are the same price, the real difference is that the real steam has more deals and better deal overall, also many more games, that's all

those site are great no need to wait for steam to accept bitcoin, like we no need amazon to accept bitcoin, when open bazar is coming
14050  Economy / Speculation / Re: Research of how to predict the movement of the market prices of bitcoin on: July 06, 2015, 04:22:00 PM
well usually one should study the previous play of the market, i find this the only good way to predict with a good chance the next movments of the market, this will be reinforced the more the price will face a higher stability

until then you can try to follow the wave by selling if you see a few cents drop and buying if you see a few cents rise(nbetter to do this with a bot...), recently it has become just a game of tiny fluctuation with x20 leverage...
14051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make 100% anonymous transactions? Laundry services? on: July 06, 2015, 04:15:40 PM
If I need to do so;
I'm using exchanges to mix my coins. For instance;
I'm depositin 0.5 BTC to exchange X and 0.5 BTC to exchange Y, Then splitting them 0.1, 0.3 vs vs, then recombine them on a "use & dispute" blockchain.info wallet.
(Of course I save the disputable wallet's private key).

It takes some time & a few bucks, but it works fine for me.

Sorry for ignorance, but what is a dispute and use wallet? I used the terms that you referenced on google and nothing was found! LOL

Also, what is the benefit for anonymity?

Best regards.

to avoid that your wife know about your porn collection bought with bitcoin? this is a non legal reason

then there are a bunch of illegal reasons, like avoding taxes(actually i do not fint this so illegal, taxes are unfair as fuck) drug ecc...
14052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 15kDcr9wDhZmvPufKP7vYyELSoLg4bKbAR <- Has paid well over 250BTC in fees?! on: July 06, 2015, 04:09:59 PM
that's only 10 blocks to the miners, maybe he is a miners himself, so one can not know for sure if he is really wasting btc on fee or not

Take note of the fact that this took place in 2011 - the amount of Bitcoin at the time was ridiculously small.
This, back then these amounts were dust, 250 BTC was worth only like 400$

if you see the true potential of bitcoin, you can agree that it can still consider it a dust
14053  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question - how many machines with one worker? on: July 06, 2015, 04:03:28 PM
better to have multiple workers for each machine/rig, to reduce the number of stale, this is especially true if the machine have different hash rate, otherwise you may use one worker

basically if one machine/rig work with a lower hash it may reduce your overall income becuse it will wok as a limited factor, due to the fact that pool will use the same diff for both
14054  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Litecoin : I sold LTC for BTC . May I wrong ? on: July 06, 2015, 04:01:53 PM
when did you bought that amount? it was at its lowest or it was a old amount that you held for so long? because if you bought it at 0.002 to dump at 0.006 then yes it wasn't a good decision

something like ltc , doge, and monero cannot die so easily they are big currency, despite what majority thing of them, they are still heavily accepted in trading, and they are seen as a good alternative
14055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Leaving eurozone - Greece & Bitcoin on: July 06, 2015, 03:57:42 PM
Some peoples wish a Grexit only to see the bitcoin price increasing and sell them

flip side

some want the price to rise not because they need to be rich, but because they can acquire more thing with just one bitcoin, spending bitcoin now with such ridiculous value, it feel like a waste, when you consider that in the future a whole bitcoin can buy you a car or even an house, in a very distant future...
14056  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad days ahead for the European single currency on: July 06, 2015, 03:55:24 PM
Those other country can handle their loss well, otherwise one can not explain how they are in a better position than greece now, having few money isn't euqal to a bad condition, is the difference between the income and expenditure that counts and apparently greece is not good at it

Dude, you are wrong there. Apart from a few wealthy nations such as France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Belgium, most of the other European Union members are in dire economic straits. Do you think that Italy, Spain and Portugal are performing well right now? Greece was just the tip of the iceberg.

well i'm not talking about italy and spain, but especially romania and bulgaria, the countries that you mentioned in the other quote

greece was doing really bad even before she become a part of the europe zone, their debts were dragged off for so long that is not even funny to remember
14057  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Need help please] Transaction sent since yesterday not yet confirmed !! on: July 06, 2015, 01:59:46 PM
Thank you all for your reply.

@ranochigo : When I send bitcoins to anyone, I don't mess with the fees.

Could you guide me how to set the fees correctly so that when I send bitcoins, it will "always" be in High priority ?

Thank you all again.

it's better to set at least the default fee, i think it's 1k now? anyway between 1k and 10k should suffice, to have a proper time of confirmation, but personally i don't mind paying 100k satoshi to speed it up, we are still talking about 1/4 os dollar
14058  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: July 06, 2015, 01:52:02 PM
Biggest problem with bitcoin is the time.
It takes hours to confirm a transaction so it can be better like other coins to process faster.
You have the opposite of my problem
[IMO]
Faster transaction = Less secure
Slower transaction = More secure
 Grin

I'm wondering, how to solve this problem without making any problem even worse. Huh

you simply do not solve it, because it isn't a problem, merchants should just go ahead and accept 0 confirmations

but if you really want a solution sidechain are what you are looking for
14059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really unbreakable? on: July 06, 2015, 01:28:09 PM
I believe that Bitcoin is one of the first to implement cryptography to prevent double spending in p2p technology.
Yes. But what is the cost for it?

the cost is high but the price of bitcoin is high too, the ratio will be maintained at 1:1, thing about it when it was the beginning, the cost of the network was very low, but so it was the price

the price for maintaining the nwtwork it doesn not matter if it's reflected by a good cost in the market

not to mention that the heat can be actually useful in the winter

i remind you this quote from satoshi

"The utility of the exchanges made possible by Bitcoin will far exceed the cost of electricity used. Therefore, not having Bitcoin would be the net waste."
