bitcoin into on itself is not vulnerable. The web wallets and hard wallets are.
Just spread out your bitcoins across several different wallets. If one gets done in you have others to continue with.
There are certain exploits that an experienced coder could do to somehow disrupt the whole network, just like the transaction malleability problem. Bitcoin. though secure, still has an attack vector on its code, but exploiting it seems to unlikely and only devs with knowledge in this could use it for their own gains or fix it. Remember the recent surge of unconfirmed tx? That is the malleability problem exploited by a single user.

None lol. I play dice and other gambling games just to kill time and enjoy a bit. Never wagered nor deposited any bitcoins into these sites. Instead, I make use of their integrated faucet and make my way to some actual profits. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

In the USA Bitcoin is sort of accepted. The problem is the government is trying to monitor it and that can cause some issues. They are trying to tax it I believe with wallets like Coinbase. The thing is though, it is hard to tax Bitcoin because of the numerous transactions you can do.
NY is the most affected part of bitcoin regulation in the US. Though China and Russia have some doubts on whether or not they should accept bitcoin, it seems that they are not planning to ban it but to regulate it also, but not to the point that it actually hurts bitcoins and its users. NY regulations are a bit too far, asking for personal information that is somewhat invasive in the users' end.

For students or home based job seekers, bitcoin evolution has produced many job opportunities. I feel you guys. Instead of practicing/playing Dota 2 (I'm a pro player and competing in major tournaments in our country), I just dedicate my spare time reading bitcoin-related articles or staying here in the forum. Other times, I try to review the source code to see whether I can get a good grasp out of it; so far I have understand some points that I could actually use in my studies. One of my friend whom I told bitcoin about is now earning bitcoins and is thanking me for giving him the opportunity to learn more about it as it changed his life, too.

Haven't actually tried any of their services apart from receiving my pay from their signature campaign, and I think I don't want to get myself involved in their cloud mining platform given that the amount of bitcoins it can generate is waaaay less than what I can actually earn if I have the equipment in my home (electricity is around $0.05 - $0.10 kW/h here). They are pretty legit, yes, but in all honesty, I don't think I can make a good amount of bitcoins from their cloud mining platform. In the exchange? I use finex for that.

Hi there may i know what are the facebook page in the philippines who conduct weekly meet ups in metro manila? thank you bro ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) bitcoin ph is the page that i joined but they didn't set a meet up weekly and most of people who joined there are post their referral link and their investment site. You are talking to another facebook group which I guess is the #pangkabuhayan... . I rarely see and I think there is no posting of referral link and investment site there as you said about Bitcoin PH. #pangkabuhayan has lots of posting of referral links and bitcoin investment site (almost 95% are ponzis). Bitcoin PHThere is a bitcoin group in the Philippines that has some active posters too, though I haven't checked out in that group recently yet. Also, some of our kababayans are pushing our own sub-forum here in bitcointalk. It's kinda nice to know that many of our countrymen are interested in using bitcoins and knowing more about it. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Above market rates or am I wrong? I have heard their service before, and so far none have reported any scams yet. Before you accuse of scam, kindly see if they are still replying to your queries. Usually, scam services don't reply to emails after they executed their plans.

It's hard to save, unless you don't have much higher incomes then your monthly obligations or some extra income. Life is getting more and more expensive
This explains it nicely. Life is getting more and more expensive as time passes by. People are getting too greedy and too hungry for money. Even though you got a high salary, you need to be thrifty so as to ensure that your budget would last a month. Here in the Philippines, you can actually live with only $300 per month, but not all the people in here have that kind of salary and some are in-debt from the banks or governments that would cut some portion of the salary they are receiving.

Not a movie but still a nice video explaining one's experience on using bitcoin ATMs. Cool stuff I must say, though it is somewhat commonplace among bitcoiners nowadays.

But I don't have that much to invest. Does it require a lot of GHs to make a profit or I can start with some minimum?
No, you actually don't need that much to invest in cloud mining (well if you will rely solely on the hashes, you have to get a fat start). There are legit cloud mining sites wherein you can trade your hashes to other users of the platform, same like cex.io. But there are other ones who offer just hashes and you cannot trade that with others.

-snip- Keep calm & wait for new forum ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) New forum remind me of Half life 3. It has been so long, I wonder if we'll ever see either of these two. But personally I don't care. Forum is primarily a tool for conveying information, and it doesn't have to be pretty. It needs to be useful. Surely Lord Gaben would deliver, also theymos that's for sure. A million dollars of donation that would be lost in void would probably be a center of attraction for months. Also, I don't think theymos would run away with that money. If he would, he did that long before this forum gained popularity in the interwebs.

why not working freelancer sites for things like work into digital the full8 hours can get you a bit more than just BTC. like freelancer.com
Odesk also pays great for people who have established portfolio on their online careers and who are looking for a full-time online job. I have some friends working on it and as I can see it, the salary is enough to pay for their everyday expenses and monthly bills. Seeing that it can pay for everything they need, they can allocate a percentage of that salary in buying bitcoins if they want to have some investment. Odesk has been renamed as upwork. There are lot of freelancing sites which offers great earning potential across many skill set. Now a days people can get paid in bitcoin which would be more convenient for those who keenly earning bitcoin. Freelance jobs are best way to make online living. I don't know but the name 'Odesk' has been stuck in my mind since I first worked for it. I remember being a part-time customer support for an electronics firm that is based in Singapore (and I'm from the Philippines). 5 hours of work gives me $60 a day, and also depending on how many customers have I served for that certain day. It is a great place to work in, only if there is a similar site which is more established and more people who want to hire freelancers in exchange of bitcoin.

300$ its better than 200$ but its taht soo important? i mean i dont quit BTC even if was at 20$
price is important yes, it what will drive many more people to join in, low price make everyone not investing or using it because they thing it will die soon, it's depressing... The market capitalization is important. If it is too small, big money cannot come in and price is volatile. Volatility makes Bitcoin a great investment. Big money can come in whenever it wants, they simply buy up slowly to not leave any marks behind. Or they can enter when there is a coin auction to buy up coins at one price. Yes, this is where most traders profit from: volatility of the price of a certain commodity. I also have been doing this in the past year and because of price volatility of bitcoin, I am no longer affected of small crashes/rises but instead I focus on one term which could yield me some nice profit if I played the market correctly. Simple concept that others find hard to follow: buy low, sell high. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Bitcoin halving day will soon be upon us; I'm predicting a nice bump in price around this time, a huge drop in the hashing power of the mining community and a bump in fees. Not everyone agrees with me but mark my words will see a huge drop in hash rate and thus in the security of the network after halving day. I hope the network is ready.
Made edits sorry I don't want to be stuck in speculation no one comes here.
Hmm, you said that there will be a price bump, then it will be ideal for miners to continue on hashing even if the quantity of mined coins are decreased by half. As for security? It's as if big mining pools would team up together to perform a 51% attack against the network? It is just too improbable to happen as it will literally destroy bitcoin in terms of trust form the mass and the price too.

you should keep in mind that bitcoin is money and there is no such thing called earning money fast (over night). you should have some sort of talent/skill and use that for earning bitcoin or get winning a lottery.
if you don't have any computer skills you are better off earning regular ways in real world and then buy bitcoin with the money that you have earned. this way you can at least be involved with bitcoin and earn a profit when the price of bitcoin went up.
Been doing this for over a year now I think, and that's how I got most of my holdings: by working in exchange of bitcoins. I usually write articles for some people that are willing to pay in bitcoin, and I grab the opportunity whether it will be a small work or a hard task. Whenever there are no work to be done, I do signature campaigning and I must say that it is a good thing for an extra income too. There's no such thing as riches attained overnight; you need to work hard for it.

i will vote for Nope it's just some pumpers and dumpers manipulating the price because the price has stopped rising now and the last is $271 at Coinbase and i'm pretty sure highest price in this month is only around $270-$280
I do remember it being $295 during the early summer but then tumbled. It just can't break that $300 mark that everybody is wanting. It peaked up to $300 on some exchanges but it was short-lived and then made its way down up to sub-$200 in which I re-enter the market. This would certainly go up to $300, but I don't know if it is attainable by the end of October since I think the market isn't ready for that yet. Some flash crashes here and there then regaining back to $265 levels.

I'd say do signature campaign combined with faucetbox faucets, that will get you close.
Signature campaign alone would give you even $3 per hour if you have a Hero Member account and post 10 per hour. For a person like me who stays in this forum for more than 10 hours, I could easily get $30 in a day if I wanted to, but that requires a lot of work and time in my end. Well, better than doing nothing, that's for sure. That will also get you banned for signature spamming. ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) The most people can earn on this forum per week on average is about $10 - $14 if they stay within the rules. The signature campaigns are not created to earn a income, only to reward people for their time to post naturally on the forum. I receive roughly $4 per week with my signature campaign, and I just hoard it directly to cold storage. Let's not promote signature spamming for people to acquire a daily income. ^hmf^ if you think that you're going to be banned because you're posting only tons of message, than you know you're posting garbage if you don't post no-sense, there is no ban whatsoever, no matter how many post you do, there is no limit, and no time limit between post(minus the 4 sec if i'm right) I agree with Amph, given that he is one of the people around here who posts too many posts per day but not getting banned. Reading the topic first before spitting out words would probably help you get out of the ban zone and spammy posts. Also, don't get in to topics wherein you don't even understand a thing but still post something. That's where unconstructiveness starts.

Use it to boost the economy somehow and try to spread the word as long and as broad as we can. I am trying to reach out several friends and family members and talk about them regarding bitcoin and so far, 3 people have been extensively reading about it, interested of what bitcoin could serve for them. EDIT: Lastly, if we can, try to sell goods and/or services in exchange of bitcoins so that people will have broader options on where to spend their coins, too. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

The government.
I also think that somehow, governments will try to do everything so as to regulate bitcoin and stop it from becoming the standard currency that we *would* be using if in case the dollar falls so hard. But is it enough to stop bitcoiners in continuing this coin? No, I think not. It would require more than the governments to stop this revolution in an instant.

I have coinbase on my other monitor all throughout the day, my day started here in my office with $268 and now it's down to $264, but it's just jumping from $264 - $267 level. So I guess this will be our rate for this week?
yes new range $260-$270 http://prntscr.com/8svo8cwe will stable at this range before we rise $300 yes the price is stable around $260-$270 since yesterday and i hope won't be down again to $250 in this month Even if the price go below $250, it is still OK for the long term. yes i know it, but for now, we will never see under $255 The lowest price at this moment is $260 Everything can happen in the bitcoin markets; even sudden flash crashes occur when everybody least expects it. I won't be that much confident that we'll sit comfortably on this range.
