If one were to buy and hold solid avaerge coins (not a coin that kicks out and gets 10000% gain), but rather a nice steady gain like eth, Ltc etc (top 20) and starts with 10k, is it possible to reach a million without trading and buying/selling at highs and lows? If so, how long would you predict it would take? Or are most coins not going to last long term, so every 6 months would I have to rebalance with newer coins?
Crypto is almost 10 years old now. If you had invested in the beginning (may be in 2011 or 2012), then it might have been possible to convert $10,000 to $1,000,000. But now, it is going to be difficult.

It may be a bubble, but for us that should not matter. I am sure that the peak is still 2 to 5 years away (or even further). So out investments are safe until 2022 or at least up to 2020.

I am not a big fan of Bitcoin. That said, I am not going to prefer Litecoin over BTC. LTC is a very old coin, and its technology is not very advanced. And I do have doubts about its future potential.

When you ask someone for advise they always say buy low and sell high but this is very tough.
What is your strategy for buying low and selling high?
Do you agree with buy low and sell high is very tough?
This strategy never works, because you don't know how much is the "high" and at which level is the "low". So I would say that it is much better to set solid targets (both for profit-booking and stop-loss). I have been following this strategy for the past 1.5 years, and my experience has been positive.

ADA is worth 1/10th of ETH in terms of market cap, but has so much more potential. Completely lost my confidence in ETH as new ICO's on decline, unknown inflation etc etc.
The decline in the ICOs is not due to Ether's fault. But I agree that lately, ETH has been losing the momentum. ADA is one of the most technologically advanced coins available right now and it does have great future potential.

Did anybody follow today's Scotland ODI match against England? It was an awesome performance by Scotland and it'll be interesting to see them against Pakistan in Edinburgh on 12th of June. It'd be a T20 match though.
I wanted to watch the match live, but broadcast was not available in India. SONY TV decided to broadcast some shitty highlights from some old test match instead. No online streaming links were available. It was a great match, but those in the Indian sub-continent could not watch it due to arrogance by SONY.

OK.. Here is the final scoreline from the latest round of international friendlies:
France 1-1 USA Peru 0-0 Sweden Denmark 2-0 Mexico Serbia 5-1 Bolivia Spain 1-0 Tunisia Morocco 3-1 Estonia
Not much surprises there, other than the dull performance by France. And Serbia looks to be in great form..

My only advice would be to refrain from panic selling. If you sell your coins at the current rock-bottom prices, then I am sure that you will live to regret your decision. Just have patience and wait for 1-2 years more. If you are extremely short of funds, then sell small amounts of coins.

Right now is the best time to invest in our market, Ethereum is a good choice if you want to because it is cheap and it is next to bitcoin. If you have a lot of capital right now you must invest immediately.
It may be better to hold on with your investment plans until the markets stabilize. Right now the exchange rate is hovering between $500 and $600 per coin. And there is a real chance that it can go below $400 per coin.

ETH gave much more returns when compared to BTC last year. BTC gave around 15x returns, while those who invested in ETH got almost 100x ROI. Now it is difficult to predict who will emerge as the winner for this year. But so far, the signs are looking good for ETH.

I know one of my friends, who got 25x returns after investing in an ICO in 2017 (a part of this profit was lost in 2018 after he invested in some bad ICOs). I have never tried my luck in ICOs, but from what I have seen it is a good method to increase your wealth.

Hello, Which Altcoin you are looking forward to invest on ?
I have classified the altcoins broadly in to three categories. These are: 1. Established altcoins: Includes ETH, XMR, LTC.etc. Some 70% of my alt investment is directed towards these coins. I intend to hold these coins for the medium-term. 2. Less known alts: Includes coins such as DNR, BSD.etc. They account for 10% to 15% of my alt portfolio. These coins are for short-term investment. 3. Bitcoin forked coins: includes coins such as BCH and BTG. These coins are for medium term investment.

Airdrops and bounties that ended successfully are still there. but now more Airdrops and Bounties end up with a scam or shitcoin. I've been getting airdrops and bounties that ended successfully and with a time of about 6 months
Earlier only a few people were participating in the bounties and airdrops. But in 2017, these campaigns literally made many of the participants uber-rich. This in turn attracted a lot of junior level users and along with that these campaigns ignited the interest from scammers and conmen.
|
|
|
I have taken part in hundreds of airdrops and dozens of bounties. It is quite difficult to state which one is better. I have benefited from both airdrops and bounties. I have received tokens for my effort, and I have converted most of these tokens to fiat/ETH. Now claiming that one of them is better than the other is going to complicate things a bit...

The market conditions are very depressed and I can't foresee a major recovery anytime soon. We may need to wait for up to 2 years for a recovery to occur. The next trigger can be the Bitcoin block reward halving, which is supposed to occur in 2020.

Some of the ICOs keep their tokens over-valued and they put very unrealistic soft-caps. The best thing would be to stay away from the bounty campaigns which promote such ICOs. But a lot of the users continue to participate in them and if a small part of the payments are made in ETH, then their efforts will not go in waste.
|
|
|
Many ICOs avoid public crowdsales and raise funds with private sales or pre-sales that require a high contribution. The only way to participate in these ICOs is via ICO pools. This discussion can help find honest and effective pools. An example of a pool open to new members is at https://discord.gg/RZVAXZpMost of the ICOs have very low minimum contribution limits, such as 0.001 ETH. Therefore I don't understand the need to go with the ICO pools. If you participate through the pools, then obviously you need to pay them a small maintenance fee, if I am not wrong?
|
|
|
If a project is unable to reach their soft cap will they pay participants their reward for bounty activities.
If the project doesn't reach the soft-cap, then that means that the ICO has failed. Even if the bounty manager distributes the tokens to the participants, it will be of no value. You will get the tokens in your wallet, but they can't be sold anywhere.

taxation and too much useless bureaucracy.
Here in India, taxation is a major issue. Only around 3% of the population pays taxes, and they are subsidizing the remaining 97% of the population. To make matters worse, farmers are exempt from income tax. So we have farmers roaming around in BMWs and Audis, while the middle-class tax payer struggles to purchase a two-wheeler.

My answer is FEW MUSLIMS ARE TERRORISTS BUT THERE ARE TERROR GROUPS FROM OTHER REGIONS AS WELL. Its just the media that highlights acts of terror being committed by Muslims and those by non Muslims are ignored in entirety. Some of the non Muslim terror groups are as under:
1. Aum Shinrikyo: Founded by Japanese dooms day cult and comprising of elements from Hinduism and Buddhism. 2. Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam: Founded in 1970 to fight for separate homeland for Tamil minority of Sri Lanka. 3. National Liberation Army Columbia: Leftist Guerrilla group that advocates for establishment of Christian communist regime. 4. Shining Path: Guerrilla Rebel Organisation founded in 1970 by Guzman (a philosophy teacher) who wanted to replace Bourgeois Democracy. 5. Revolutionary Struggle: Greek group founded in 2003 and was notorious for its attacks on Greek government buildings and US Embassy in Athens.
The above mentioned organisations are just a few, while the list continues to grow longer.
None of these organizations are based on religion. You have given a list of some ethnic militias and Marxist militias. The LTTE wants an independent homeland for the Tamils and many observers regard it as a regular militia rather than a terrorist organization.
