1421  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How about trading like a PRO crypto currency trader? on: October 31, 2017, 11:46:48 AM
I remember that CoinDash were trying to make smething like that not so long ago. Their tokens pumped a bit and now  everything is quiet. Anyway there was no breakthrough.
Copy trading in altcoins seems like an easy way to scam people: you are buying a shitcoin, people see it and repeat the deal and then when the shitcoin is dumped you drop it on them. Maybe someone will be lucky enough to get some profit.
1422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which will be the most favorite coin in the coming period on: October 30, 2017, 06:45:43 PM
I see XRP (Ripple) going up in the next few months. Essentially I'm a bit confident in my feelings.
I will not share your feelings about Ripple. It is supposed to be used by bank transactions and its current volume is more than enough for it. The other growth will be more speculative than a real price increase and will just make a bubble. This coin usually moves up and down at the same time with bitcoin and it seems a bit naive to expect such miracle like x2+ pump ofr XRP in the near future.
1423  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Concepts: Moving Average on: October 30, 2017, 06:34:34 PM
I'm also a newbie in trading so I can only share the source where I get information.
Normaly I use investopedia, here is an article about SMA (simple moving average): http://www.investopedia.com/terms/s/sma.asp
It is normaly used to determine the current trand. I would recommend you to read this article and also read about  golden cross and death cross. Also some links in "next up" field will be usefull for you.
1424  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to trade Bitcoin anonymously? on: October 30, 2017, 06:09:55 PM
You are able to trade anonymous in Hitbtc. Currently, there is no verification needed for trading cryptocurrencies.

Binance and Novaexchange does not require verification if you don’t mind the lower daily withdrawal.
Are they reuire verification in case of any disputes? Different exchanges can shut down unverified accounts saying that those accs are suspected in money laundering (especially when you are ucing VPN). Usually to resolve such disputes they may ask to provide documents or funds will be freezed. It seems like you should always choose between safety and anonimity while using cryptoexchanges.
1425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Funny: Nigerian Scams Shifting To Bitcoin on: October 30, 2017, 04:18:56 PM
Fortunately people should already have some brains to understand what is bitcoin and it works so they won't get scammed this way. Also for newbies it will be another barrier because they might not get how it works and give up with an idea of sending money to someone else. I would recommend to send this type of scam to different scam allerts so people can easily google it.

Please do not be racist, there is no where in that message that confirms the location of the sender.

It is well known that these scams emanate from countries all over the world like; Russia, Greece, Indonesia to name a few.

Calling this a Nigerian scam is quite pathetic and racist so I have reported your post
Holy cow! SJWs are invading this forum.
This type of scams is called nigerian because a huge amount of such e-mails was sent from the name from the name of the ex nigerian president, his wife, daughter etc.

1427  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold Is Yesterday, Here Comes Bitcoin As A Reserve Currency on: October 29, 2017, 05:05:57 PM
On a serious note, it is possible bitcoin could eventually become a reserve currency to replace gold. This paradigm could represent the natural evolution of cryptocoins with limited supply if it is established that limited supply and algorithmic based regulation are best methods to promote stability and long term value.
First of all gold is not a currency (at least after the gold standart was cancelled) but it is a "safe heaven" for investments where your investments will be safer than in all other currencies / assets. Because of volatility and many other things BTC still can't be called safe comparing it with gold that already have long and proven history behind it. Not everyone will take such risks right now but it seems to be a smart move later. Or maybe  some small country will guarantee its currency in BTC by having the necessary amount of btc in reserve.
1428  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: A university in Vietnam receives tuition fees in bitcoin on: October 29, 2017, 04:00:26 PM
Well the mosst important thing is the quality of this tuition and the whole education in general. I still won't recommend anyone to attend universities (untill you are 100% sure that you will get any kind of unique knowledge there). Imho the best way to educate yourself is to personaly contact repped profesors (like via coursera) and pay them directly with bitcoins.
But anyway accepting BTC by any offline institution is still a positive sign.
1429  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign and foreign language on: October 29, 2017, 03:20:30 PM
Some campaigns don't want to loose the local markets. Some of them allow only limited amount of posts in local boards (like only 5 per week). Sometimes the campaign manager don't wanna bother himself by checking  the local bords in unknown language and sometimes the service and the ICO is supposed to be used only by english speakers so they have their website, forum threads and white paper only in english (then whats the point of advertising your project to people that won't be able to understant whats it all about?). All this combination of settings should be individual for every campaign.
1430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Italy will have first bitcoin bid on: October 29, 2017, 02:40:15 PM
Not that important but still good news, it seems like the goods still will be traded for the fiat and BTC is used just to add funds to your "wallet" so it doesn't seem to become popular. I've just caught myself on thoughts that it is the first crypto related news from italy that I've ever seen.
Cool that they thought of allowing bitcoins into the auction. I'm just not sure if it would be worth to spend bitcoins on furniture though, seeing that we predict that the price would be higher in the future. Hmmm, maybe just buy items that would likely increase in value, probably paintings.
Why not? If you need to buy something and you only have BTC you gona need to exchange it anyway. The other thing is that it might be an attempt to attract the early BTC investors that suddenly became rich and still have a couple thousands of bitcoins in their wallet. Don't think that all of them are still willing to hold it.
1431  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin to Paypal - Skrill and more ! on: October 29, 2017, 02:25:05 PM
Does any of trusted users can confirm that whis service is legit? I've only seen  feedback  from newbies and that is quite suspicious. Also what is the deposit fee for skrill? It is not listed in your fee pdf file. And what is the difference betweeb "withdraw" and "community withdrawals"?
P.S. I would still recommend you to finish the translation of your websie (especially pictures).
1432  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: WageCan - Gold card on: October 29, 2017, 02:01:55 PM
Hello,

I contacted WageCan support today asking if they guarantee that the card will be working on next year if I order now, they replied that can't guarantee.

When I replied the email asking if will get a refund if my card stop working, they become silent.

It seemss like ALL cards that accept cryptocurrencies have a chance  to get locked (no matter what their support will tell you). Those kind of cards might have problems with the service providers (like Vise or MasterCard) so the only chance to get a refund would be if this service will refund you from their own money. It doesn't seems to be real in case of the global shutdown so i think that people are risking while using those cryptocards.
1433  Economy / Economics / Re: Wonder how many people can hold BTC for more than 3 years on: October 29, 2017, 01:13:20 PM
Imho you should either forget your password or loose your private key to hold bitcoin for so long. I know a bunch of prople that sold almost all their BTC when it was around 500$. If you've already seen 10x growth it is mentally hard to belive that it will grow 20 times more for the next years. The only thing that I find helpfull is not visiting this forum or any other crypto related websites, such things totaly distract from the final goal.
1434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Billionaire Investor Warren Buffett Says ... Bitcoin in 'Bubble' Territory on: October 28, 2017, 10:29:43 AM
Warren Buffet is a smart guy and he got my respect, there is no doubts that in some places he is right but bitcoin is not his usual field of duties. The problem is that such investor are always taking bitcoin as an asset (and it is, but partly) and not as a currency. I don't think that currencies can somehow produce their own value like it could be with assets.
1435  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: 22 hours+ and no confirmations with Electrum's recommended fee! on: October 28, 2017, 10:20:28 AM
I had the same problem with electrum before, it seems like sometimes thsir recommended fee is too low. If you need fast transactions then it is better to check the amount of unconfirmed transactions before sending your bitcoins.
If your fee is too low to use viabtc accelerator by yourself then you can  search for some help in service board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0  there is always someone who can help you.
1436  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can someone explain BITMEX fees on leverage? on: October 28, 2017, 10:13:15 AM
I've never had any deals with them but if the fee is fixed at 0.075 then it should be the same while using leverage. Hopefully this fee shouldn't be multiplied (x100 fee even sounds pretty unfair), otherwise it would be set as a % of your total deal. I can't be sure about that but thats how i is supposed to be from your description.
1437  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What would be perfect? on: October 28, 2017, 09:46:59 AM
People more often participate in BTC paying signature campaigns simply because you don't have to read anything about the project (income is not guaranteed, if your project is garbage then people will just grab their BTC and you won't get any income from it). Campaigns with altcoin or token payments also may be popular, everything depends on our project and its promotion but if your project is unclear then even the best manager won't be able to do anything.
1438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Website mining Bitcoin without permission? on: October 27, 2017, 09:48:59 AM
If this kind of mining is not that harmfull for our devices then whats bad here? I found the argumentation given by those websites pretty logical. Instead of common ads (sometimes hey can't be locked by adblock and they are very annoying or some websites are not available while using adblock) service owners can monetize it by mining. It seems like the pirate bay realy needs that money. Just remember all block attempts and trials against them.
1439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can authorities really regulate cryptocurrencies? on: October 27, 2017, 09:39:39 AM
Authorities can't regulate bitcoin (exapt china, i belive they can do somehing with their great firewall) but they are regulating the environment where it works. Imho thats what they do now. China is regulating it to clean some space for the national crypto (thats their typical protectionit behavior) while russia is trying to punish bitcoin users ( I don't belive that they will realy do something positive with btc).
1440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal Co-Founder Peter Thiel: Bitcoin Has ‘Great Potential Left’ on: October 27, 2017, 02:12:16 AM
The general statement is right. Just imagine the bitcoin price when it will be as popular as PayPal, if at least some of the current problems would be solved then it will be a serious competitor to the othercurrencies (gona be the first popular currency that is not attachen to any country). I belive this will happen one day and approximately at that time you will be able to buy a house for 1 bitcoin.

To mine gold you must first find a place where there is gold. With crypto, you can mine anywhere.

Anywhere where you find cheap electricity etc.
