It shouldn't be right. Perhaps what they mean is, Bitcoind/Bitcoin-qt will rescan the blockchain so it can retrieve any spendable outputs and display your balance.

You haven't seen a crash yet. I've seen Bitcoin crash from 30 to 0.01, it hasn't died yet. |

and now the transaction is gone and so is my .2 of btc  As I said, coins cannot "disappear" unless you destroy/lose the private key OR spend the outputs. However, they cannot actually be destroyed, they are in a sense indestructible, they will be in the ledger regardless. |

Coins do not simply vanish. Perhaps your client was not synced and did not broadcast it. Perhaps you sent them from a service that experienced technical difficulties and did not process your withdrawal request.

I guess I'd take the one million dollars, with the remaining 8 bitcoins I'd get Persuasion and use that(in conjunction with the million dollars) to get more Bitcoins, allowing me to buy any and all of the powers, becoming a god.

As far as a Windows -Qt client goes, I believe I can be of help, however I have not compiled any -Qt recently so I am not sure if it's still working.

The service(if I ever get to implementing it) would be a dice site, more like just-dice or primedice than SatoshiDice, however I am unskilled in layouts. It will work like just-dice however, investing and everything.

I just purchased a domain. I don't guarantee launching anything yet, I don't have a working system for the service either, but will do if there is some interest in the coin. However, I plan to purchase ID Protection as I don't like my personal information to be known or may use an "Alias".

I believe he is referring to these guys: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winklevoss_twins. They are known to have splurged quite a lot on buying some BTC back when it was at around the ~$100 mark I think from memory, although you may want to check some older news articles for the exact time and figures. I'm not sure if their intention is to cash out big or wait for the time being hoping for widespread adoption.. I know who the Winklevoss twins are, not the Win kelv ass. |

Dooglus, you need to upgrade your server or change from node.js to something faster, the lag is unbearable, especially when there is rain....like super lag. Like when there is lag, it takes 15-20 seconds for anything I post in the chat to appear, including an address for rain.
