1421  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Big secret you wouldn't be told on: May 19, 2023, 09:53:18 PM
The big secret of making it big in cryptocurrency which I honestly wish I got to know at the very beginning of my crypto journey is
- having more than one source of income.

If I were to write a crypto commandments this would certainly be amongst the top commandment of crypto career.

Many people don't often understand that having more than one source of income could still be achieved in the crypto industry, without having to stress too much and burns out.

Here are 5 ways to diversify your income with crypto.

-crypto trading and investing.

- (OTC) over the counter trading.

- cryptocurrency jobs.

- Arbitrage.

- hunt for new coin that is about to be launch, buy at the pre-sale price,  once it goes live on what ever exchange, sell immediately, sometimes you made 200% profit, 500% or more most time, like SUI that was launch last week, I made more than 1500% profit.
Well there haven't been any secretes about this except gor users that haven't been paying much attention. Diversification has always been the language in the forum and one could easily misunderstand it if they aren't paying any attention. It's bee song so many times and it most applies in two ways with regards to the field at which we operate.  One of which,
You could diversify by buying bitcoin in conjunction with altcoins and other projects within the crypto industry, and the other
You could invest in cryptocurrency and then look out for other non cryptocurrency commodities like sticks, bonds and what ever it is put there that could bring in some cool cash.

It's a thing everyone should understand. Not to put your eggs in one basket, no matter how green the field looks.
1422  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How does bitcoins affect other coins? on: May 19, 2023, 09:45:13 PM
For years , we have always heard and have seen how the movement in bitcoins price affect other coins/tokens price.
Going through the charts of  other Cryptocurrencies, it is seeing that the remarkable rise of other crypto follows the rise of bitcoins. Since bitcoins has its own blockchain and other crypto have their own Blockchains, how does the price of bitcoins influence other Cryptocurrencies, please I need diplomatic explanation on this phenomena.
At the time, no other coin has proven or even come close to be the better of bitcoin. We could have given Ethereum a second look but, the price difference puts bitcoin at a distant position to either of these coins and as such, they just don't make the bench mark.

The relativity between these coins is such that, bitcoin is the pioneer cryptocurrency and is regarded as such, this creates a sentiment about it in such a way that, its perfection and flaws is conveyed on all the rest of the cryptocurrencies or altcoins out there. Besides, none has managed to be better or even come close to being as good or decentralised as bitcoin.

Fir this reasons and those not mentioned, its always common to note that an effective rise or gall in bitcoin price has got some effects on the coins available in the market.

1424  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How true on: May 18, 2023, 09:51:19 PM
Nothing good comes easily, I've doubted the truth in this statement for a while now and here am to ask, who else believes in the statement or wgp doesn't, whichever way, why??
I think it's true. Even generational wealth that had been past down to a more recent family was hard earned through forefathers and what have you.

Good things are always hard to come by so when it comes, you learn to value it, safe guard it and hope not to waste all efforts in your time.

Everyone is out here seeking better and hopes to pass better down to there later generations too. It never meant no one didn't work for it.
1425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 18, 2023, 08:42:12 PM
Mikel Arteta still needs experience even his approach was also good but near the end they lost their momentum and lost title which is surely sad but still they have done good performance in first 33 weeks of this season and lead the league table without any problem.
That doesn't mean he never archived his goal for the season. For a fact, every tea hopes to win the trophy, yes. Arsenal indeed had this hopes or should I say wished it, where the best for it at a time but lost it to a more better side, Manchester City but, that doesn't mean, Arsenal didn't attain there goal.

I could almost be certain that, the goal at the beginning of the league for Arsenal would have been a place in the top four, yo secure a UCL slot and the dreams of winning the league arose as a later possibility with fhe runs they were making the success that preceeded it. We all saw it and most of us believed it but, they just couldn't hold it up to the end of the season.
Manchester City which have been close behind and losing on chances to gain in on them finally did and just like that, the league is lost for Arsenal.
Still, it's Arsenal in the top four and UCL.
1426  Economy / Economics / Re: Kraken, UK trade body derides lawmaker description of crypto as ‘gambling’ on: May 18, 2023, 08:13:32 PM
Crypto is not gambling, we all know that. But crypto can be seen as gambling for some people that do not understand much about them because crypto gives more hope than gambling.
You know, its a perception thing and the fact that, a school of thought might have adopted a meaning to a concept doesn't make it true. It only remains as true as it could be to those that share the same frequency of reasoning with the under stated school of thought.

Mine school of though makes me understand that trading isn't gambling. Yes, one could bring attributes or concepts of gambling into trading but, trading isn't gambling. Its got assurances to it and the level of assurance you get out of it comes by how close to accuracy you are with your analysis. It's just the truth about that but in the case of gambling, you've got zero assurances at all and can only stick to hope our of speculations.
1427  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people stay poor? on: May 18, 2023, 06:47:01 PM

That's one hell of a vague assumption that obviously can't be true in its entire. Of course we've got the poor once that seems to swim in poverty through generations but, the poor doesn't always stay poor. There is always a breakout at some point for most of them with enough will power to convert there desires into something that could spring forth generational wealth.
People aren't always poor by chance but, by the opportunities they fail to utilise and better themselves.

A lot might complain of lack of opportunity but in the absence of opportunity, you get to create the opportunity you seek or desire. Complaints get you no where but having to work for it would get you just where your efforts is good for.
1428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The World's First Kids Cartoon about Bitcoin on: May 17, 2023, 11:54:31 PM
Now that's nice. Perhaps it might come in animations but I'll say this, animations aren't just for kids. Even adults too could gain something frm watching animations and having this concept put in some of its simplest forms, it would mean a lot to the lost of persons of every age grade that would be viewing that.
Most especially the kids that would be the leaders of tomorrow, to pass beyond the FUD and haven't gone too traditional to reverse into prevailing modern way of getting things done, we would have a generation of more possibilities than ours.

This marks another milestone for bitcoin and through this, we might hope for more progress in the project.
1429  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you should use spare money to invest on: May 17, 2023, 11:48:54 PM
The general idea of using spare money to invest emanates from the fact that, this is something you can afford to lose and it won't hurt so bad should that be the reality of things, a lose. You just want mind because, this is a money that comes with less expectation and you could as well declare it as lost upon investment. This is one of the reason why investing with spare money which is often referred to as a ready to lose money is desirable.

Another scenario comes in to play for those who believe bitcoin or the idea of cryptocurrency could crash some day. You feel more safe with spare money and in the event that it blooms, your sure to be proud of what your worthless funds provided for you.
1430  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Overcoming my fear of bitcoin and online businesses on: May 17, 2023, 11:36:10 PM
I remember a colleague of mine when I used to work before I ventured into business, he used to do forex trading then, he will always encourage me to learn the trade, but I always told him no. Some few years back, I started to look for a new business and some friends began to tell me about bitcoin. I was very skeptical then saying that even if bitcoin is genuine that it's probably one of those online businesses that you will invest all of your money and in an instant you will lose everything.

I continued to have that fear until a few months ago when someone sent me the link to this Bitcointalk place, that I decided to try it out. I concluded that it is time for me to put my fear of online investments on hold to see if I can have a better understanding of it and bitcoin. In this few weeks that I have joined this forum it has been a very big eye opener for me. As someone new in this I know I have much to learn, before I start investing, so I don't make mistakes. Although so many things sound strange and confusing to me. And I hope to quicken my process of learning soon enough to start investing and trading like others here. Overcoming that fear of online investments, especially bitcoin is what I'm tackling right now and it is a wonderful experience for me so far. I am learning new things every time I come here and it is a new type of experience for me.
Well just that you know, Ponzi schemes are very real. Your fears of having these ponzi schemes get the best of you have been all that have kept you safe all the while. You could just as well not lose that fear or rather, learn to identify what it is that makes a project a ponzi scheme. Some of its basic features is that, they are referral based and operates a pyramidal scheme.

May I remind you although, I feel you already get the picture, the forum isn't some online business but, somewhere you come to learn about cryptocurrency. These you can apply where related and maybe get what you seek out of the knowledge you've acquired.
1431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 17, 2023, 11:08:00 PM

Manchester City had an amazing performance and for the first time in history they are going to play in the final match of the champions league, also the team they are going to face, Inter Milan is not so hard for them beat and it seems like Manchester City is going to win the champions league title at the end of this season.
Real Madrid was just terrible today, there over confidence caught up with them. I guess they believed once they came this close to the UCL finals, it almost feels pre-determimed that the trophy is won in there favour already, even i believed  it but, Manchester City meant business this time. The first goal from B. Silva was such a thunder, there was nothing the goalkeeper could have done to keep it out. In a while, B. Silva came up again with a free header and it didn't end there, more goals kept pouring in and even J. Alvarez got his share. 4 goals on aggregate, that was a shameful exit for the supposedly champions.
1432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 17, 2023, 08:47:06 PM
At this point, all hopes I lost for Real Madrid. Ancelotti just might have accepted defeat right from the moment he substituted Luka Modric for Rudiger. I was shocked at the choice to take out your mid fielder to bring in a defender in a game where your loosing. Stil, he made other substitutions like Camavinga, although I could say he was playing it safe at those point given that, his got a yellow card but, he was still losing and needs all the pressure these guys can bring to the game.
Its a well deserved win for Manchester City no doubt as they've increased therr aggregates to 3 goals, limited time on the clock and still, Pep isn't going easy on bringing in attackers. What a season it is for Manchester City, they deserve all they've got for real.
1433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 16, 2023, 09:14:21 PM
Well, who would have such team ad not rely on them to be enough together him the trophy. I mean, the Real Madrid as it is remains one of the best teams in the world and any coach would have done the same. Like, who deserves the bench and who doesn't looking the attacking force of there first eleven. I take it that at some point, they lost focus on the Laliga and where more UCL concerned.
Else, how could it be that, a team that have been the light of one of the greatest league out there is nothing doing great in there domestic league, its just something that could come out of negligence.
1434  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Cryptocurrency Exchange platform: Paxful Exit on: May 16, 2023, 09:04:46 PM
Paxful na a very rubbish exchange, scams accusations dun plenty for that platform right from time and e still dey surprised me say people still dey use the exchange. My very first experience with them is awful and with all the scam accusations i dey see online about them I no surprise to see this news wey you dey announced so. Sadly I no think say e get anything wey the authorities fit do for this matter unless e get people wey go carry the exchange to court and them go compensate people at the end still fit no reach the money wey you get for the exchange.
So, e cast like this and people been still dey put body. Anyway, na normal shah. We go always get people way dey put body no matter watin them talk about some project. The way you carry cry out for that very first line eh, e be like watin them do you strong that year o and e dey string enough to pursue you commot for there platform.
Any which way, I go give them small credit say, them try put the word  out before them choose to do watin dey there body like this. Still, people way go lose go still plenty. Na why e no sure to dey keep money on exchange be this. This one na still another lesson for people to learn from. The funny truth still be say, many no go still learn.
1435  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial education or 1million dollars on: May 16, 2023, 08:53:25 PM

It's not very obvious that a lot of these happens in our world. There are those that would be given that money and they would know just how to engage it and make the money work for them. Still, there are those that would be given a whole some and they won't be able to make anything out of it. This is as old as man himself as far as history goes.
Money not invested is wasted money. Yeah, money finishes and if you ain't getting some regular income even not in regular amounts, your gradually getting bankedrupt and it only tells when your close to your least.

Money management is a must known for those who hope to make the most put of the little or much they have.
1436  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you spend more-do you get more? on: May 16, 2023, 08:42:29 PM
There is an opinion that the more money you spend, the more you get in return, it is interesting to find out who really works in this direction. I spend enough money, but I have a fixed income, therefore I will not be able to get more. I don't have rich relatives, and I don't expect an inheritance either. I want to get rich, not to deny myself, but I have to save on everything. Who really faced big expenses and received even more? How does it work, maybe I don't understand the essence of it correctly?
What nonsense is that! "The more money you get to spend, the more money you get"
Of course your seeing the result yourself haven't experimented it, stagnant growth. That's the best your going to get out of a lifestyle that revolves around spending.

You don't make more money by spending, you make money by investing. Spending and investing are 2 different things and they both can't be misunderstood.
When you invest, you just convert your money or some valuable into another form and it still gets to stay with you, you still own the value.
When you spend money, your actually exhausting it, giving all its value alway. Maybe you got some product but then, you either lose all the values in it or have or decline over time.

You just don't make money by spending that's some shitty way to think.
1437  Economy / Economics / Re: The Role of Education in Financial Literacy on: May 16, 2023, 07:34:31 PM
That's true, our society doesn't respect someone who has great skills but doesn't have a degree as much as they respect someone with almost no knowledge and skills but a degree in any field of education, that's how it has been working for decades and it is still the same, even if we know it's possible to learn everything by your own, you are still obliged to get an educational degree to prove it.
You know, the role of education to every successful enterprise is underestimated. You can't have and run a million or multi million dollar business without having educated individuals within your company ranks. It's a must have as these persons can establish parameters that could be used in tracking how the business is been doing and also why certain things occur in business. All these could be archived just by looking at some numbers or charts on a paper or on some screen. It takes some one that has attained some level of sound education go do that. Even make projections into the future.
1438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 15, 2023, 11:44:08 PM
It never really ends with the EPL even with the league coming to a closure. It's just hard to accept that Leicester City that has been doing so well in a couple of seasons have landed themselves at the relegation zone and won't be getting much views in a while.
Klopp has just been about showing the might of his Liverpool side and today was no difference, beating Leicester City to a 3 goals to nothing. M. Salah dint manage yo fins himself on the score sheet today but, his efforts were all that made the goals for the Liverpool side today. Another day and game to  make still an ambitious Liverpool at the dead of the league but, its just late to have any ambition  for the Top 4 now.
1439  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am confused !!!! on: May 15, 2023, 11:19:05 PM
apart from bitcoin,do you think that there is a high possibilities of making profit from other altcoins.
Yes there is, there is also a higher possibility of incurring losses.
Upgrade00 ha done such a good job in crossing the word other as used there jn your sentence @OP . We have either bitcoin or altcoins (alternative cryptocurrency) which means; every other currency that isn't bitcoin falls within the alternative cryptocurrency categorisation.
Bitcoin isn't compared to the lots of coins out there and so, you can get that right.

On the choice of wallets, open source wallets are the wallets for you and these comes with a private key which ensures your the sole operator and controller of your wallet. Having your coins stored on an exchanges wallet is you actually relinquishing your power of ownership to the wallet and they could run it as they seem fit and there is very little one can do about that.

If you could make money from cryptocurrency,  of course yes. Though, you have to be realistic about the profits you hope to make and your knowledge of the system is the means to getting these profits.
1440  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you should use spare money to invest on: May 15, 2023, 11:05:12 PM
At the time, bitcoin remains a not very well known commodity in our society. An alien to the many currency and means go investing in our world but in all that, there atr goose that have and ate taking maximum advantage of the innovation.
The strange nature of bitcoin being a digital currency m the fact that it ain't regulated, isn't backed up and governments are always seeking means to ensure it lands in a sink hole has got many weary and uninterested in the innovation.
It seems a very risky investment choice and that gives prospective investors reasons to shy away.

This is where investing with spare cash comes handy. For most, it just might be worth nothing and you possibly wouldnt gain much if you was able to hold on to it for price appreciation. Its a step at a time and what yiu call spare cash would be worth more than you can afford to lose when you invest continually.
