1422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: January 17, 2023, 04:15:44 AM
I wouldn't say that the KSA team is too strong. But they have a team of goodwill. KSA's win against Argentina was unexpected. Because they didn't win any match in the group stage. Saudi Arabia is a rich country and they are ready to spend money to strengthen themselves. They are also interested in hosting the World Cup. This is why they want to make themselves stronger. They are now adding talented veteran players to the Arab League. As a result, maybe their domestic players will become more experienced in the future. At the same time, more talented young players will emerge.

Saudi Arabia may not be a very strong team, but they have made huge improvements during the last few years. And all the money that is being poured in to Saudi football is finally giving some returns. And there is still room for improvement. The inclusion of players such as Ronaldo to the local league will definitely result in an improvement in the playing standards. But unlike the case with Qatar (who spent around $280 billion to host the world cup), they are spending money more cautiously. In the next 5-10 years time, Saudi Arabia will be one of the top-20 teams in global football.

Yeah, I very much doubt that Saudi Arabia would be one of the top 20 teams in the world. I highly doubt that. The Saudis are slowly delving into sports like tennis and now football. They’ve certainly got the money to improve and bring in more players like Ronaldo to their shores. Ronaldo had brought a whole lot of limelight to their league and I’m sure they’ll would be hoping to grow on that.
Look at the Chinese league. They had initially spent some good money to attract and pay English league players to their league. It initially was interesting, now I barely hear of the Chinese league anymore.

The most important thing is that arsenal don't have many good players in the squad comparable to man city or even man united, but this team sounds really organized and determined to get something good this year and in my opinion this is the secret behind their level this year

Arsenal, no doubt has some very good players in the likes of Saka and Gabriel Jesus. They’ve got some pretty impressive players who could actually play beautifully and equally score goals as well. They’ve got players that could deliver and that’s all there is to it.
Arsenal is determined and somewhat organized to win the premier league trophy this season and they’re not letting anything get in their way of making it happen. Great team work and a lot of understanding along with tactics is what is needed to realize a win in any game.
1424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 15, 2023, 09:11:31 PM
The first trophy for Xavi, even though this is not really eye-catching, but this is still good for them because they can bring a trophy when they need it.
I would probably congratulate Barcelona even though the game is still not over.
The score has 3 goals and it is clear that with the current time, Madrid cannot be chased, regardless of anything, this has been a victory for Barcelona.
In the end my bet was lost in this match Cheesy

Pedri scored the third goal to solidly their win against Real Madrid giving  Barcelonas coach Xavi, his first trophy and a much needed one at that. I along with others, I’m sure had thought that Real Madrid might just win the match with some difficulty but the game went otherwise as Barcelona had played and won the game with some ease.
Real Madrid defense was whack as they allowed Barcelona forward to continuously make attempts at goal and it paid off with 3 goals. Great game.
I believe a lot of people had placed bets on Real Madrid winning the game. That’s a bet lost.
1425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 15, 2023, 08:22:38 PM

I'd say the formation of Barcelona to stop Real Madrid midfielder's from creating and disruptive passes into them defense, currently, Real Madrid are not the same, even Luka Modric seem to be worned out completely, I can see how rusty he is already.
Good through ball from Frankee De Jong to Gavi, it's Lewandoski 's awareness that got me tripping, he watched the position of Courtios before placing the ball.

I don't see Real Madrid winning from behind, this has got to be Barcelona winning the cup no matter the change from Ancellotti.

Lewandoski has obviously settled comfortably playing in the Barcelona shirt. Barcelona played superbly and got goals as a result. I had initially thought that Real Madrid would, though with some difficulty, win the game against Barcelona.
The formation of Barcelona is key to defeating Real Madrid as they defended any and all attacks from the Real Madrid forward. Perhaps Real Madrid wasn’t at their best and some of their players seemed to be losing steam while on the pitch. Overall, great game for Barcelona.
1426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 15, 2023, 08:10:47 PM
Nothing can be expected from the Dortmund team, which always prioritizes the business of selling the best players to other teams, so that Dortmund doesn't really care about their current position in the Bundesliga standings. Even though Dortmund's chances of getting into the top four in the Bundesliga standings are still very open and not too far for them to achieve this season. But I don't see Dortmund's passion to achieve that now either.

I wouldn’t exactly put it like that. Dortmund most likely does care about their current position in the Bundesliga. Like all clubs, they’re playing to win. And in my opinion, their chances of getting into the top four in the Bundesliga is almost assured.
Although they’ve got somewhat of a reputation of selling go of some of the best players they’ve ever had who most of them had gone on to play in the English leagues and are doing very well. One thing is sure, they do know how to produce very amazing players
1427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 15, 2023, 07:57:12 PM
Arsenal are getting close to the Premier League championship more and more every week. This week was amazing for them as they opened the point gap with Manchester City three more points. Manchester City's position is even under the threat of Newcastle and Manchester United now. It is very interesting to see Manchester City this much struggling. But I enjoy watching this situation anyway.  Grin

Because I'm really fed up with seeing Manchester City dominance in the league. It is time for some other teams to put on a good show. The matches between Arsenal and Manchester City will be very important for the championship.

Yeah, Arsenal is definitely at their best and striving to win the premier league trophy this season. It’s looking more and more realistic as they widen the gap between themselves and the second place team at the table. It’s great to see Arsenal playing so good again after playing poorly the last few seasons.
It’s particularly impressive to see Manchester United win their last 6 matches in a row. They’re playing superbly and their gameplay has certainly improved. Their last game with Manchester City proved that they’re on a roll and a definite threat to Arsenals dominance at the top of the league.

Liverpool lost again when they visited Brighton headquarters with a score of 3-0. The inclusion of Cody Gakpo in the starting line-up was also unable to make Liverpool able to get a point in this match. A quick brace was scored by Solly March and then the third goal was scored by Danny Welbeck. With this result, the fate of the reds worsened after they also lost to Brentford with a score of 3-1.

Brighton having scored an impressive three goals to win the game against Liverpool is pretty outstanding. I know People that had put some good bet on Liverpool winning the game against Brighton as it had seemed to most people like a walkover for Liverpool. Brighton surely proved everyone wrong. They played really well and scored 3 goals as a result. I particularly liked the fact that Welbeck was the player that scored the third goal to solidify their win.
Both sides played well but the obvious better team was the team that won. Liverpool has had some Ill luck with their last two games and of need of some morale booster in form of a win.

1432  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans are once again quitting their jobs at a growing rate on: January 13, 2023, 09:57:47 PM
One of the probable reasons I'm seeing is related to the other topic you opened for discussion. Side hustles are now more attractive than permanent jobs. And for so many reasons. For one, you will earn better doing side hustles than being employed. That itself is more than enough for employees to quit from their jobs. Other than that, side hustles could give you a lot more time for other important things. With a full time job, you're bound to be on duty, for example, from 8 AM to 5 PM, and 5 or 6 days a week.

Other factors like burn out, toxic supervisors and bosses, toxic workmates, mind-numbing routine, lack of personal and career growth, and many others are also valid reasons for many to quit full-time jobs. Especially because there are side hustles that are available.
You have a good point. There’s a lot of factors to consider why every employee end up quitting his job. But the most possible reason I think is they found better opportunities outside their job, which means better compensation and better work scenario that will create higher advantage on part of the worker. Otherwise, if an employed person suddenly quit from his job without valid reason, he must prepare himself to suffer from economic downturn.

People quit their jobs for various reasons. Most of the time, people quit in search for better opportunities or work pay or most times, both. But there are also some major reasons people could be inclined to quit. People quit cause they may feel undervalued or undermined. While the pay may be good, some employees may quit their jobs cause they’re being undermined or not valued in the work place.
If an employee quits his job, the person must have been prepared for the reality of being jobless.
1433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 12, 2023, 11:02:38 PM
Such an unfortunate start for Joao Felix. He was in the starting eleven directly and he wasn't performing badly until the red card as well. But that red card changed everything about him of course. Because it cost Chelsea three points. Fulham weren't a weak team in the end therefore they benefited from the opportunity and beat them 2-1.

Chelsea are still unable to maintain a good form no matter what they do these days. This was a tough game maybe but it was still winnable for them.

An unfortunate start for Joao indeed. Having gotten a red card and left his teammates a man down, it had been difficult for Chelsea to maintain any sort of form while playing as they seem to have been demotivated after the red card had been given. Chelsea has now failed to secure the three points from their opponents Fulham.

Fulham played well and therefore were the better team of the match having scored two goals to secure the win and the three points for themselves.
1434  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: January 12, 2023, 10:35:46 PM
I prefer to be a business owner but if the job is paying a good amount of money then why wouldn't I take it?
I like to be a business owner because they hold their own time unlike being an employee they need to be on time.
And when you are a business owner even if you decide to take a leave or you would still have an income unlike when you're an employee when you leave or skip work it would affect your salary.

A business owner is all good and fine. But I think there are more better reasons on why you could want to be a business owner.
There are also some employees who are really valuable to their employers. These employees could very well work on their own time and pace and still get paid. Also these said valuable employees could also decide to take some time off for perhaps personal reasons and still get paid the full amount. An employee that’s valued and respected by an employer would probably given the freedom to work as he/she pleases as long as he/she makes quota.

In general a team is about the many people or players involved, but if the topic only says about Lewandowski then that's fine. After all, he also doesn't say things like "with Lewandowski, Barcelona are great", if he says like that then at least it's difficult for us to accept that too.

But if it's about Lewandowski is a great player then of course I will admit it but unfortunately, I think Lewandowski playing at Barcelona is not the right choice. Because if I compare it with the gameplay at Bayern Munich, then Lewandowski in Barcelona is still not completely great.
Because the team's gameplay is still not good at Barcelona, even though Lewandowski is La Liga's top scorer at this moment, the reality is that achieving that for Lewandowski is still not as easy as playing at Bayern Munich.
For the first season, it was more than enough in my opinion. Lewandowski answered all expectations of him and he proved his ability by immediately stepping on the gas as the current top scorer since getting his first game. 13 goals is proof that he can adapt to Barcelona's players and strategy, so it has to be a great achievement.

I didn't expect him to be unstoppable in his first season for Barcelona, but what he has achieved so far has been incredible. Lewandowski is a new star at Barcelona, he will get what he wants this seasoon at Laliga.

Lewandoski has pretty much made his mark while playing for Barcelona. I initially had thought it would be a tough one for the club to find a replacement following Messi’s leave from the club. But Lewandoski has proved to be a prolific striker and goal scorer, scoring about 13 goals so far. He has proven to be able to adapt and fit into Barcelona style of play. Barcelona may not feel the absence of Messi with Lewandoski around.
He may still be settling in, but he seems to have settled in already and already very comfortable in a Barcelona shirt.

If we look at the points table currently in the English Premier League, we can see that Arsenal is at the top of the points table with the most points. They have won 14 matches out of 17 matches they have lost one match and drawn the remaining two matches with a total of 44 points. And Manchester City is in the second position of the point table. They are in the second position of the point table with 39 points in 17 matches. If we look at Manchester United's points table, we can see that they are at the fourth position in the points table. But they have already played 17 matches.  I think they should improve their points table a bit. If they can do well in the next matches, surely they can overtake Manchester City.

It would take a lot of effort for Manchester United to catch up to Manchester city and overtake them on the league table. Arsenal is presently in fire being at the top of the table and obviously would love to remain there. Manchester city could very well catch up to Arsenal as there are still more games to be played and with their present form, they would likely catch up to arsenal.
Manchester United, In their present form is currently doing really good and winning games. I still doubt that with their current form, they could move to the top and stay there.
1437  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid running into financial ruin this Christmas! on: January 11, 2023, 05:49:55 PM
It would be a bit difficult to bounce back in the second quarter of the year if you’ve overspent during the Christmas festive season and perhaps now taking out a loan in January. You would need to service the loans with the crazy interest rates.
Turning to friends for loans would also be difficult as they also would obviously have bills they would need to settle. Generally, money is seen to tight during the beginning of the year and with sound planning in play, we would go running to the banks to borrow funds after spending during the festive seasons.
We have to celebrate according to the funds we have because those involved in bank loans have to pay high interest, we have to work half a year just to pay off the loan. I don't like loans, even though friends give loans without having to pay interest without a payment deadline, for me loans are the most binding and I don't want my salary to be used to pay off loans. However, if there is an emergency when my economy is down, then I have to apply for a loan to anyone because of my priority needs and that of my family.

I also detest taking out loans either from banks or from friends and family. Personally, I won’t turn to banks whenever or if at anytime I’m in a financial crisis. Then again, I try as much as I can to avoid whatever would lead me into financial ruin and trigger the action that would lead me to take a loan. Having Loans are never healthy for anybody’s finances.
I think taking out loans is like a tube of toothpaste. Extremely easy to take one out and very difficult to put it back in.
1438  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid running into financial ruin this Christmas! on: January 11, 2023, 04:08:51 PM
If anyone overspent during the holidays, they are currently feeling the heat everytime they check their bank accounts. For married people with young children in particular, this is important.
Given their current financial devastation as a result of their unwise decisions, some families may begin taking out loans in January. They would have to carry a great deal of the strain because they can no longer turn to friends for support. Nonetheless, with sound planning, they can bounce back before the second quarter of the year starts.

1439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stay humble and go your own way (invest in yourself) - the best strategy of 2022 on: January 11, 2023, 02:20:27 PM
I think you’ve made some pretty good points there especially the need to keep your bitcoin in self custody. I think that can’t be reiterated enough.
In all you had posted, it was your topic head that resonates more with me. Stay humble and invest in yourself is definitely the best strategy of 2023. We as humans have all got lots of different potentials and it’s left to us to discover and unlock these potentials. What better way is there than to invest massively in yourself while being extremely humble.

A mind clouded with pride will never be open to new things and ideas and definitely wouldn’t be open to learning new things.

You’re a student. You should know how to use a search engine on the web to find out and read more about those questions. That’s the least you could first do before you come on here and ask what you don’t still understand after reading. It’s better to read, research things and get an opinion for yourself and not allow someone feed you their own thoughts and opinions about things.
That is what I’d expect from a student.
