1421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHALLENGE] Who wants to be a millionaire ? on: October 23, 2019, 02:54:11 PM
First I thought you were referring to casino gambling. In sports betting you definitely make this work, but you gotta know your teams and have a skill for this. Why not try the challenge with 2.00 odd parlays? Why wait so long as I'm sure you can find enough acceptable matches is beyond my reach.

Over the time I found that low odds matches are more riskier as the risk/reward ratio is much lower than with playing higher odds. However I wish you luck in your challenge and I will be watching this thread.
1422  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't Buy Spot Ever, Call A Bitcoin Just 5 Dollars- BTC Seer Option on: October 23, 2019, 02:06:19 PM
Well.. I think that trading Spot is great too haha On a more serious note options are great especially for hedging, but I know traders that only trade options because it is much more convenient and they can't sleep at night peacefully. But IMO the real masters of trading are able to combine spot trading with derivatives. This way they develop multilaterally and can exponentially increase their gains.  Deribit offers options as well and I have recently heard that CME also offers a similar product.

Be careful though and don't trade options until you don't understand them completely. They can liquidate your account just as easy as trading spot on leverage.
1423  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to profit from your bitcoin during market consolidations on: October 23, 2019, 12:49:12 PM
Can you use the strategy on lower timeframes? It looks like it is a long term trend following strategy using bollinger bands as primary indicator. If it is working so well I'm curious about your reasons for sharing it on the forum.
1424  Economy / Exchanges / Re: my problem with hotbit exchange on: October 23, 2019, 12:37:00 PM
Personally I haven't used the hotbit exchange, not even heard of it, but it is probably one of those shady
exchanges that one should not even use. I guess this is the risk you're taking when holding crypto on platforms. Be aware that there is no regulation that limits these exchanges so act accordingly.
1425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Sportsbook with Instant withdraw and No KYC? on: October 23, 2019, 10:49:34 AM
Try dbet.io sportsbook. It is the closest I could find to directbet.eu. No need for KYC and you don't even need to have an account. Just choose the event, pick and send the btc. If you have a winner then your gains will be sent directly to your address. The interface is easy to use.. don't have much to complain about.

1427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: October 23, 2019, 09:03:59 AM
For a project that relies on its (heavily circlejerked) credibility, the massively (99%) washtrading shit exchange Bitforex is a strange choice.
It's like selling a Lambo at Joe's Used Car Lot.

I disagree with you. More exchanges means more exposure to the market, more liquidity & more volume. Bitforex is widely used by the asian crypto traders so I wouldn't jump the gun on this one calling it a washtrading exchange. GOLD is a stablecoin so I don't mind it being listed on as many exchange as possible, be it decentralized, centralized or shady. After all it is a cryptocurrency that traders can do whatever they want with.
1428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quantum Computing Threat to BTC... Correct me if I'm wrong on: October 23, 2019, 07:39:22 AM
Quantum computing is a powerful and threatening thing, but it is still far away from actual use. I've talked with a tech guy recently and he said that quantum computing is years or if not decades away from us. Also there are anti-quantum options that can be implemented through consensus by the miners. I'm sure that the more specialized ( + those that have more skin in the game sort to say) are doing extensive research on this. Personally I don't think this technology is a reason for worry.
1429  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance is earning only $20,00 per day on transaction fees charge?? on: October 23, 2019, 06:48:12 AM
Transaction fees are part of the cost of doing business on an exchange. As a trader you've got to factor in all the costs associated with your trades to come up with the real PnL. I don't think that a 0.10%/side fee is an enormous amount but it could be lower of course. As far as I know they do offer fees discounts to volum traders up to 0.05% ( if I am wrong please correct me). As any company they need to make their profits from somewhere. Where do you think they get the funds to launch so many different products ..
1430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to restrain yourself at a small loss and not spend money. on: October 22, 2019, 05:40:26 PM
It's about your beliefs and what you know. For example I know that is impossible to win on the long term in gambling. As a matter of fact I tell myself that more rounds played = less chances to win. So this is why I always play for fun and not for anything else & I always know my spending limit. Btw that is called budgeting, not risk management. I allocate for example a percentage of my wage to gambling activities each way if I feel the need to and then I stay in that limit because it is for fun.
1431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in football on: October 22, 2019, 03:39:32 PM
Actually Sportsbet is the main sponsor partner of Watford FC. They are a big online bitcoin sportsbook for those of you who haven't heard about it. Pretty swift move and they are also spreading awareness about Bitcoin literally for free(for the community). Just think of the number of people who are watching Watford matches on TV. Millions of eye balls on the Bitcoin logo each week. Pretty mind-blowing if you think about it
1432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do we get the best at this moment? on: October 22, 2019, 01:37:24 PM
If you are a bitcoin enthusiast like I am you should always have this in the back of your head: holding fiat currencies is like bleeding your finances to death, but by hodling Bitcoin you expose yourself most probably to the deflationary currency of our future. Of course there are other investments out there where you can diversify your portfolio, but this is not an investing lesson. We are talking about BTC - a beast that can triple fold in 1 year. As many of the forum comrades said the fundamentals are on BTC's part.
1433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's acceptance in the World on: October 22, 2019, 01:12:56 PM
Until Bitcoin becomes a more stable currency I think the best solution for companies is to use a payment processor that instantly exchanges the Bitcoin they receive for the products or services they provide. As Bitcoin raises in value and become more stable and the adoption raises companies could start doing all their day-to-day transactions denominated in BTC just as they do now with fiat. It has been proven that higher liquidity in the market correlates with lower volatility. To achieve that we need more institutional investors in the market and I am confident that slowly we will acquire that.

1435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Happens If China Bans Bitcoin Mining? on: October 22, 2019, 11:14:12 AM
China banning Bitcoin would definitely have an impact on the cryptocurrency industry, not just because a big part of the mining farms are located there, but because the majority of world's population is located there. Mining farms will probably just sell the rigs to farms in the nordic countries or simply relocate. I think using alternative sources like geotermal, solar and wind energy are the way to go in crypto mining. Also it is much more efficient to set up a farm in a cold place like Finland or what about Greenland? - there is no one there so could be a viable place to build up a powerful farm.
1436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New CRYPTOPHONE have got launched. The market adoption keeps growing. on: October 22, 2019, 07:11:01 AM
I don't believe that the HTC approach to cryptocurrencies will make any actual waves. I'd buy the phone maybe on lack of other hardware to run a bitcoin full node, but rather than that I don't see why would I use it instead of a regular smartphone with more powerful specifications like iPhone or Samsung..
1437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 21, 2019, 07:37:56 PM
Brescia - Fiorentina is all tied in 18th minute.
The Viola has the full control of the game and I have a feeling that they are going to score in the first half. I am placing a bet for over 0,5 for Fiorentina in the first half

I don't like how the match started at all. Minute 35' and still no goal from either side. As you can see above in the thread my bet is over 2.5 goals in the game. Need more than 1 goal in the first half.. keeping my fingers tied. Fiorentina was a great team some time, let's see if they can still show off like they were back in the times.
1438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to avoid fraudulent projects? on: October 21, 2019, 07:05:04 PM
The simplest and most effective way of doing this is by making sure that people do their own diligence regarding each project they invest in. An investor who cares about his money and he has earned that money from hard-work will be very 'picky' sort to say with where he puts his funds in. However we need to think about the newbies in this space as well, so the best would for someone trustworthy to create a blog or a trustworthy source of information and rating company like ICOBench, but I've noticed that their reviews are not so helpful.
1439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You own a decent amount of Bitcoin, How would you increase it on: October 21, 2019, 06:13:34 PM

It is correct, you can make a nice profit with margin trading, but the risk is also great. I read many reddit stories regarding people who lose their money with X10 or even X125 in binance now.

Yeah, man.. The thing is that professional traders rarely use more than 2x leverage, while the retail traders are crazy about using 25x, 50x or even 100x leverage. Leverage is a powerful, two-edged weapon especially in the financial industry. It can bring abundance or it can tear you apart. That's why I always recommend people to first trade without leverage and be sure they understand all the mechanics of margin trading before getting into it.
1440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN-QORT device Gen 1-HARDWARE-completely custom blockchain-ACCT, hosting,net... on: October 21, 2019, 06:07:10 PM
The LED case looks AMAZING @crowetic! Hopefully you can put a button to turn the lightning off and on. I'd like to mark down my interest and support for this project. I haven't made my purchase decision yet, but most probably I'll end up buying it because it is such an amazing deal. I'm not sure on the shipping and custom taxes, though as they could really mark up the price.

I have a few questions though. What will happen with the future hardware models? Will the minters have to buy them to continue minting or how will this process work? How long does it take to become a minter on the blockchain?

Thank you very much and I admire all your hard work to create a possible world changing device!
