We have different preferences in selling but as for me, I rely on the target goal that I have set upon buying. I set a target price as a basis for when I'm going to sell my holdings regardless of the possible price hike of my coin of choice. Once the coin reaches my price goal, I sell and reinvest again when the price strikes down. You should always follow your goal and don't let greed lead you to the wrong path.
It is important to set that target and have a decent control over your emotions, never to allow greed and fear dominates. If you have that goal and you are all in meeting that expectations, you can always hold and be contented with the result of your investment.
