14221  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Noob on: June 09, 2014, 06:20:18 AM
Best thing would be to read about mining, trading, and just buying pure BTC.  After reading do a ROI analysis and pick best for your situation.

Silverfish is looking very promising.  This is a picture from 1 blade, 1/2 of the 28 MH/s unit.  Expect more to come of a review in the following week of it's performance.

14223  Economy / Services / Re: [Lee group]6779$ for 90M scrypt miner and 1699$ for dragon 1T bitcoin miner on: June 08, 2014, 07:21:57 PM
thanks for the support and the price of host fee on the professional data center will adjust to 185$ and the price on simple data center will adjust to 135$, but currently, there is no place to place new host order, but the new simple data center will ready within one week and new professional data center will ready within 2-3 weeks
here is the new host price table
(edited image for space)
nice  a good deal just got better.  I am getting ready to order my second 1 th  hosting  in just a little bit.
Edit:

So If I order today with the professional data center.

  I send a paypal for 1699 + 4% fee   that is 67.96 a grand total of  1766.96.

 I fill the form out.

So when does it mine?

24 hours or less?

I then need to pay the hosting fee of 185 usd  on what day?

Quoted from above I hope it helps here is brief version on what day please whole thing for more clarification: "currently, there is no place to place new host order, but the new simple data center will ready within one week and new professional data center will ready within 2-3 weeks"
14224  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Overview of my visit here - Irony {Opinion piece} on: June 08, 2014, 08:01:37 AM
Ok..

I started browsing around this forum, trying to find a way, to generate some coins, a while ago. This is my findings so far:

1. Most people says... No No No... Do not go into Bitcoin mining. {It's not profitable, and too difficult}
2. More people encourage you, to go into Alt mining. {Easier GPU without huge investment into ASIC warehouse}
3. Most people shoot down "Faucet" income.
4. Lots of people says "Cloud mining" is either a Ponzi or not profitable.
5. Loads of people encourage signature programs.
6. Even more people encourage "trading" {Service or goods}
7. Some people says trading currencies, are way to difficult.

So in summary, do not mine Bitcoins, we want it for ourselves, rather mine Alt coins, they need a push. Faucets are a waste of time, because we want to tap it empty and stay away from cloud mining, you just going to buy up all the available hash power. Join the signature programs, and spread the word, we need the exposure. Stay away from the exchange, you just gonna buy all our Bitcoins.Trade in goods, we need some transactional income, while we hoard our coins, until the $10 000 rate, when we will all cash in, and live happily on our bounty.  Smiley Grin Wink Roll Eyes {This section is just joking around a bit, so chill out}

Seriously, what is profitable, legit, and worth my time?

1)Profitibility is different for everyone on mining.  Depending on electricity as a big factor. There is ofcourse hosted mining.  There is profit to be made just do your own ROI math, using tools out there.
2) I highly suggest doing math.  Personally I think GPU days are of the past but some do mine them.  Asic is the future
3)They do work just dont expect to get rich.  You would be better off working a job with that time and buying coins
4) With any mining do you own math.  With this make sure to check companies reputation.
5) It is a good way for companies to advertise.  But they will want quality post's.  Again check reputation of campaign
6) Ok?
7) I don't think it's difficult its more like stock market they go up and down.  If you are informed your chances of making profit are better then blindly picking a few coins.  You could always just invest in pure bitcoins and hold.

On what is profitable and worth your time you will have to do math Smiley.   Also have timetables on when you want to ROI and go for that.  If it does not meet your ROI requirements find something else.
14225  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The future of mining on: June 08, 2014, 07:49:57 AM
It might be too far off for most to really care about, but still.
When difficulty becomes so high that mining is only possible by hugely invested companies,
isn't it very likely that there will eventually be only a few companies capable of mining, possibly just one?
If becomes a line of business almost impossible to get into, but easy to go bust in.

This will of-course always be some well funded farms.  I don't see it ever going to one huge company doing all of the mining.  If one would take over it would bring down value greatly.

There will always be personal miners.  Entry into market might be different, for example you really cant do much anymore if you have one video card and want to mine.  It takes of a investment.  As long as miner's are able to have ROI there will be a market.
14226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cuda Mining VS OpenCL Mining on Nvidia card on: June 08, 2014, 07:41:36 AM
Hey! I`m new to Bitcoin Mining.

I'm running Guiminer for the moment as cuda mining do`sent present as good numbers, we will get back to that later.

I have a Gaming computer with a 770 2gb Gigabyte Nvidia card. I have tried to setup the CUDAminer but i only get a mere 400 khash/s from this one,
while on the other hand i get 140 Mhash/s on GUI miner running OpenCL.

As my knowledge on proprietary and open standards is that when your card is compitable with the standard, as my card have cuda cores, my card should outperform the open standard OpenCL.

Am i doing something very wrong on the CUDA bit then? Here is my Bat file from the Cudaminer

"cudaminer.exe  -o stratum+tcp://stratum.mining.eligius.st:3334 -u USERNAME -p PASSWORD -d 0 "

I have tryed to tweak it, but nothing so far.

I would do some number's on electricty used vs. money made.  For a lot GPU is hard to do at a profit (with cooling).    As far as CUDA i personally never liked it vs OpenCL.  OpenCL had a advantage for a long time.  I have not been keeping up with GPU's so this could have changed.  But OpenCL preformed much better in the past.

How much is hosting fee for a Dragon 1T per month?
What is included in the hosting plan?

You offer different hosting plans?

This is a quote from page 34 by pcfli it shows a good explanation of differences of hosting and pricing.  As far as price for unit of dragon it's on the first page of thread.

updated on 27 May 2014
Hello, every one,  since the dragon 1T bitcoin miner can't mining as much as before with the increased difficulty, the 225$ host fee seems more and more expensive.
To provide better service and save your guys money, we have co-operated with a new simple data center, where the electricity is very cheap and we can set the host fee for each dragon miner as 150$ each miner each month.
however, because it is not a professional data center like we current use, the warranty will be also limited
1) we only promise that the offline time will not exceed 24 hours each month
2) you can only use eliguis pool.
3) no remote access to the miner
Currently we have 12 unit in this simple data center and you can check the detail of the miner through the following link
http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/131gBm2SsBjWBLePCVQpSB4gYwbA7e9vS1

and see the worker detail by clicking the tag "toggle display of worker details"

if you want to buy one such miner, just tell me which worker you want to pick and give me your btc address, then we will point it to your btc address on eligius pool,

the price of one 1T dragon miner is 1850$ in this miner, but we promise to switch to your pool within 24 hours(usually only need 1-4 hours on work day)and you need pay three month host fee in advance.

14228  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Are ASIC Miner block erupters worth the money? on: June 07, 2014, 07:15:21 PM
Hi. I am very new to mining and I saw something called ASIC Miner block erupters.
If I'll buy a raspberrypi machine, some erupters and a usb fan, will it be worthy?
Five erupters of 2Gh/s will cost me about 220$ I think and a raspberrypi machine will be about 60$.
they will produce about 0.28$ a day in this difficulty.
This way it'll take me about 3 years just to brake even and that's without calculating the electricity cost.

My question is, where was I wrong in this calculation, or was I? Or is usb mining just not worth it?

Thanks in advance, and sorry for my poor English and bitcoin knowledge.  Undecided

Those are very old as far as asics.  If your talking about the one's im thinking you are overpaying by far on 220 for 5.  You can find MUCH cheaper.  I would look at different sources if you truly want to mine with those.  Also look at ROI most want much shorter then 3 years.
14229  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm very new on: June 07, 2014, 07:10:14 PM
You can still set up 2-factor but I don't know if you want to if your account might be compromised.

2-factor authentication is always a good idea.  If it has been compromised I would switch btc address and wallets.    And faucets also could be a problem, not being paid is a very possible.
14230  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: a disputes to UPDOWN.BT on: June 07, 2014, 07:02:09 PM
If you go through the thread I was skipped confirming during it.  Did everything requested.  Sent PM's and posted in thread.  I personally never expect to see the money at this point.  But would be nice if he did pay.
14231  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Confession of a Degenerate on: June 07, 2014, 06:58:30 PM
Quite possibly one of the funniest stories I have read this week.  I do feel sorry for anyone who has lost money in this.  I think when you do a apology normally, it's not followed up by bashing people.
14232  Economy / Services / Re: [Lee group]6779$ for 90M scrypt miner and 1699$ for dragon 1T bitcoin miner on: June 07, 2014, 05:13:04 PM
Look at the bottom picture, beside the 2 pci-e connectors, you can see 1 motherboard cable, 1×4+4 cable and 1×8 pin cable.
The cable with the 8 pin is powering 2 modules via an adapter with 2 pci-e connectors. This can not be seen on this picture. I have seen this somewhere, just need to search for that picture again.
Mr. Lee probably switch the better PSU for a cheap one and sold the good ones somewhere else.

I can promise you that is not being done.
14233  Economy / Services / Re: [Lee group]6779$ for 90M scrypt miner and 1699$ for dragon 1T bitcoin miner on: June 06, 2014, 11:42:22 PM
i always forgot to update the price at the same time...sorry for the confusing, i will make it clear

That's not an excuse, Lee.  It's your responsibility to publish accurate and not conflicting information on the products you are selling.  After all, you are not just selling peanuts on here; you are selling over-a-thousand-USD items so it's very important that you convey accurate information to your prospective customers so they can make an informed decision when they do decide to pull the trigger and give you the business.  And while were at it, where are the detailed pictures of the current version of the Dragon miners that you promised in the last page or two?

Relax at  very least he runs the machine well.  My hosted gear has  run for about 47 days.
It had a few issues, but it has worked for about 45 out of 47 days at full speed. He adjusted the hosting fee to make up for the down time.
He will fix the form. I will most likely have him host a second machine for me come monday the 9th.
He allows paypal which makes it possible for me to buy it.
USA law is very strict on 600 usd and over when you use BTC. Paypal makes this possible for me.

Mr Lee. please show us a few photos of the new machine maybe  a shot of the new PSU.
I look forward to adding a second machine  on monday.  Thank you for fixing the error I found.

  Best Regards,
 Philipma1957

Great!  I'm happy for you that you're happy with your hosted Dragon miner.  But it's  besides the point.  My comment has nothing to do with your particular situation per se.  I was merely emphasizing the fact that for big-ticket items such us what is being sold on here, one has to badger the seller for information on the products being sold when it should automatically be available.  This is not only true for this particular seller but other vendors who operate out of China as well.  It seems it is a common denominator.  Nevertheless, it is not proper.

I know you sell stuff on the Bay.  Don't you provide detailed information on the products you are selling over there?

I have been helping a little again.  Google forms are very nice for ordering systems, but a drawback is they are not automatically updated as they cannot be tied to forum.  Each is updated separately.   No badgering is needed Smiley  If anyone was effected by late change on google form change just let Mr. Lee in PM and I think it will be made right Smiley.  But since you can send a different payment then was on google form I think this will not be a big problem as far as orders.

As far as more pictures peoples voices have been heard Smiley and more pictures will be added as more products come out.   And if anyone has a picture they really want of a product please feel free to request it.
14234  Economy / Services / Re: [Lee group] Miner Rentals V2.0 - Dragon 1T Bitcoin Miner *Reduced Price* on: June 06, 2014, 01:08:46 PM

Thank you to all the customers that have made this a success.  The form will be updated, and google form opened to prevent people paying and waiting in queue.

This thread will be updated if any become available.  If any current customers need help or feedback during as always please just let me know.

14235  Economy / Services / Re: [Lee group] Miner Rentals V2.0 - Dragon 1T Bitcoin Miner *Reduced Price* on: June 06, 2014, 05:41:48 AM
Currently we have 10 Dragon 1T miners to offer for rent in this program.  If by chance they are all already rented for the week on the miner you select you will be added to the queue in post below under available miners. It will go in order of signup/payment. This queue will be watched to try to keep it at a minimum.
Once all miners are sold out form will be locked and will be noted in this post. If you are worried about possibly being in queue please PM me and I will send conformation a spot is open with 30 minute window to fill form and send payment.  After 30 minutes it will be available again for rent if it is not completed.
.....
Why is topic self-moderated?
This is to prevent trooling and spam in thread.  It will be used strictly rental’s of machines, and support of these machines.  In this version two of the rental system, we plan for this thread to be a resource for our customers.  If seen as trooling or debating rental system the post will be deleted.

Thank you to the many customers making this a continued success.  Quoted original message as one rental is left.  I will most likely be asleep as its early here soon Smiley.  If you would like to rent the last one and make sure you are not in queue please refer to above on quote. Wanted to warn potential customers to prevent being in queue without warning. As your wait could be a week with these being weekly rentals.

Also copied the self-moderated part.  Form is cleaned for customers any debating of rental system or trooling will be deleted.  It is nothing personal.

Thanks again to all the Lee group rental customers for making this a big success!
