14242  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: best phone with which app on: June 05, 2014, 12:56:58 PM
hey gang,

I was wondering which cell phone is the best phone to use for moving bitcoin?

I recently purchased some coin, took a picture of the receipt and tried to attach to email but couldn't. pretty sure it's the iphone because I couldn't upload the picture via iphone email client or when going to the email website on my iphone, either.  had to wait until I got back home to use desktop pc. also, I can't find an app for the iphone that will allow me to send coin. so I'm thinking it's probably the iphone.

any suggestions on which cell phone is best for bitcoin transfers and which app?  heavens, when is someone going to invent the bitcoin phone,  Grin !

appreciate all your help.

crypto

Personally I would be cautious of keeping a wallet on phone.  I would not hold all my BTC in it.  If you truly had to send from phone you could look at online client's.  Or even look at teamviewer if you have a computer that is on.

I just am a little cautious of a device esp if you are rooting etc with phone.  Which if you are a bitcoin person I'm guessing decent chance of you rooting Wink
14243  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: PCI-E wires on psu very warm on: June 05, 2014, 12:48:03 PM
I have 3 Corsair RM850 powering 6 overclocked antminers.  I've noticed that a few of the pci-e wires would get very warm, near where it connects to the psu, so I switched out the wires with brand new replacement wires over a month ago.  I'm having the recurring problem again but no more pci-e wires to replace them with.  Are the wires getting very warm safe?  Should I be concerned?  The wires are warm enough that I can only touch it with my hand for about 3 seconds before it feels hot.  I've been running the machines for over 2 months now.

WARM cables are OK. HOT CABLES ARE NOT. You want to aim to make your cables COLD/ROOM TEMP. The temp of the cables is directly related to the amount of CURRENT going through them in proportion to the CROSS SECTION OF THE COPPER in the cable.

CHEAP CHINESE cables 99% of the time HAVE SMALLER COPPER WIRE (to keep them cheap) in them than good name bands. But in saying that the "Budget" PSU's that name brands sell also often have these lower copper content cables to save money.

Always remember HOT CABLES COULD = FIRE and most likely a dead miner. (Insulation melts off and causes a short) again though, Good PSU's have Over Current protection and *should* cut off before that.

All of my PSU cables have been upgraded my myself and are ALWAYS stone cold  Grin Grin

The Corsair RM850 is a real quality PSU but the cables look to be under sized (the flat ribbon effect is nice for cable management and looks nice but the trade off is that the cables are slightly smaller than what is best)

Just my 2c worth. Grin
As a side note: I hold a cabling licence in Australia so read into that what you will

If it is very hot he has a very valid point on fire.  I only have had one melt that was a "bargin psu".   They replaced and it was from another batch and worked fine.  But do the math of if upgrading PSU is possible depending on what you are connecting it to.  Or a extender might save you like it did me by luck on mine.  Can't guarantee it will always happen but mine melted the PCI-e extender instead of GPU.
14244  Economy / Services / Re: WE PAY FOR SIGNATURE EVEN MORE. UP TO 0.0016 BTCs PER POST. WEEKLY PAYOUTS. on: June 05, 2014, 08:15:20 AM
It's payday today. We shall see how it goes. Hopefully he pops up and gives us some answers.

so what time would be the payment will send? some said that he is online a few moments ago but didnt post any feedback or update yet
Let me check when he send last time...
Alright, last time he send a payment at 22:56. It's now 9.22 over here, so in 13 hours or so. Tongue

so it will be by tomorrow since i think my time is ahead than your time hopefully what he said last wekk is true that the newly registered member will be confirm today or tomorrow and receive our payment Smiley

With it being a month payment if I am correct next.... he can confirm everyone now... does not have to pay gets another month of scamming by paying a small portion of people/posts they received this week.  The ones paid this week say hes wonderful and stand up for him.  And then he get's a month of posts before his questionable payment methods can even be verified if scam.

Have been asking and PMing since May 24th.  No payment or even answer.  I withdraw from this signature campaign.  I highly suggest others to be weary of this one, esp with going to month payment.

Warning again I did everything asked and never could get any contact from him.  I highly suggest this is a scam and only select few get paid, and this campaign goes on with lots not getting paid.

Just a FYI, for anyone who is worried about the reliabilty & stability of these units:

Thats in a non-airconditioned ambient variable from 10-25°C

It just keeps chugging away.

Also you can take a look at live Lee hosted Dragon's that are ready to rent if you want to see speed.  They are part of the new week rental system:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=637460.0

http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/194DL15E6iK68QtteGfWbkDgFikCmMywpv currently has the un-rented ones you can view live stats.

This is bad signal. I can see he was Last Active on June 02, 2014, 01:01:23 PM.

It's a very poor decision on this.  Start at first looking great confirming people. Then go weeks with some getting skipped over, confirm a few. This site has gotten much more signatures and posts then it has paid that is a fact.  If it will turn into a 100 percent scam.... the one's who are trusting him to do one month payout will find out.

I just wasted around 1.5 week.  Imagine wasting a month since changing payout.  Be very careful here if not verified.  You are on a hard battle I never got anwser in form or in PM's.

14255  Economy / Services / [www.easy2mine.com] Miner Rentals -Dragon 1T BTC Miner/A2 90MH [On Hold] on: June 03, 2014, 03:34:41 PM
Posted as of 9/18/14:
It has come to a time where changes need to be made.   There will be no renewals on current rental's, once they end on current rental method.

If you wish to rent directly from Mr. Lee he is currently set up at  https://www.miningrigrentals.com/u/pcfli

Thanks once again for all the customers who have made this a success.

Old:
We are pleased to announce the offering of new renting system with a Lee Group Hosted Dragon 1T bitcoin miner’s and A2 90 MHz Scrypt Miner's.  With this rental version 2 system going into effect it takes into account many comments from our valued customers. This rental program is planned to be a long term rental program, with a growing amount of machines. Refer to group buy for information about these miners used and hosting center: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=514758.0 .

With the first rental we learned most everyone wanted multiple days. We listened! Now renting is done by the week.  Lee Group Hosted Dragon 1T and A2 90 MHZ Scrypt miners will be rented out for 1 week at a time, with option of 2 weeks for Dragon's.  You are able to pay both in Bitcoin and through Paypal.  With these options are two different prices as shown below:

Dragon 1T bitcoin miner
•   BTC: .119 BTC per machine for 7 days
•   BTC: .21 BTC per machine for 14 days
•   Paypal: $ 57.99 dollars per machine for 7 days
•   Paypal: $ 109.99 dollars per machine for 14 days
Currently sold out

A2 90 MHz Scrypt Miner
•   BTC: .249 BTC per machine for 7 days
•   Paypal: $ 139.99 dollars per machine for 7 days
**The A2's are in a different data center then the Dragon 1T's i rent.  It is possible to experience downtime.  If you do your time will be added to end.  Currently A2 rentals at 7 day's rental's.
Currently out of A2's

Performance:
We realize that time is money in mining, and you want a quality machine for the mining you paid for.  With listening to our customer’s now before a miner goes online it will be tested not only locally but on a pool for 24 hour’s.  These Dragon machine’s rented have been tested to get 1T ( +/- 5 percent).  They are tested on Eligius pool.

With these A2 90 MHz miners they have been tested and they depending and on pool and difficulty hash between but the first one is normally around 80 MHz and the second 75 MHz pool side  ( +/- 5 percent).    But that is what my testing has shown the quality control, with being first batch A2's they do not fully do 90 MHz poolside.

If you ever have a problem with performance please contact me as soon as possible so we can make it right.

To rent a Lee Group 1T Dragon Miner or A2 90 MHz Scrypt Miner:
Need to do a new version

After Payment:
Once payment has been received you will be sent credentials to manage the miner.  You can enter your mining information, and change it at any time during your rental.  Also a guide will be sent to help assist with setup if unfamiliar with the miner.

Rental Extension's:
I value all customers, and have had request for easier extension's. For those of you with current rental's I am trying to make extending rental's easier for you!  Please PM me around 24 hours in advance if possible that you want to extend rental and payment method used.  Pay the current price shown in first page for extension. If bitcoin please provide transaction ID.  If you wait don't give adequate time on notice of extension it might not be possible.  This is to reward current/repeat customers and give first chance at renting before it is available to a different customer.

Currently we have 10 Dragon 1T miners, and 2 A2 90 MHz miners to offer for rent in this program.  If by chance they are all already rented for the week on the miner you select you will be added to the queue in post below under available miners. It will go in order of signup/payment. This queue will be watched to try to keep it at a minimum.
Once all miners are sold out form will be locked and will be noted in this post, but as it is manual to edit amount left its possible to have a queue.  If you are worried about possibly being in queue please PM me and I will send conformation a spot is open with 30 minute window to fill form and send payment.  After 30 minutes it will be available again for rent if it is not completed.

FAQ:
Why rent for less than someone could possibly mine with it?
Yes it is true that these could possibly be mined ourselves and make more money. (mining is always changing please do own ROI no profit can ever be guaranteed).  We do of course wan’t to make a profit, but the ultimate goal would be for a customer to like the product so much to purchase a hosted or delivered Lee Group Miner.

Are these rented Dragon 1T units eventually going to get shipped to fill in customer orders for "brand-new" Dragon 1Ts?
In words of Mr. Lee “as a matter of fact, i never ship the miner that is already in my data center, i usually ship the miner from factory. i have shipped more than 200+ unit out without any issue about used miner, i cannot promise that every miner i ship out is brand new(the factory is also get the miner running when they are in stock), but i have tried my best to let the customer get new miner”

Any suggestions with mining servers?
Because of location of data center you normally will receive better connection with Asia or Europe server’s.  But feel free to test out any server see what you feel is best.

Why is topic self-moderated?
This is to prevent trooling and spam in thread.  It will be used strictly rental’s of machines, and support of these machines.  In this version two of the rental system, we plan for this thread to be a resource for our customers.  If seen as trooling or debating rental system the post will be deleted.

We value our customers and welcome feedback from this new version of our rental system as you try it.  With your feedback we hope to be able to make this system fit our customers needs.

Is reducing the risk of losing a nice way of saying with your system you still lose?  I think long run the house always wins Smiley
14257  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: PCI-E wires on psu very warm on: June 03, 2014, 06:49:21 AM
No, that is not good. The wires are insulated, so if you can feel that much heat through the insulation, then the actual copper wire is much hotter on the inside. Check the connectors of both the antminer and PSU cable to make sure none of them are melted or "browned". If you know how to replace the wire, then put in some thicker gauge ones.

I have not had this with a quality brand like you mentioned.  I did get a "deal" once during GPU day's.  Definitely check for melting.  If you cannot stop the heat I would get a PCIe extension.  And hopefully it like mine did melts extension and not a miner.
14258  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Can you help me get started? on: June 03, 2014, 06:43:53 AM
I personally have not had this miner so I cannot guarantee anything.  But a quick google search turned up a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=df9CjAlwYMc .  If you search I'm sure there is better and more current guides.
14259  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: discouraging small miners only to quell compition? on: June 03, 2014, 06:41:34 AM
Also realize solo mining BTC would be like winning the lotto don't count on it happening on a usb stick to often....

I do agree a lot of people will try to scare you off from mining.  Personally I enjoy mining.  It's a fun hobby, one hopefully make cash on.  But always do ROI on equipment.  If you have cheap electricity it helps a lot.  If not there are hosting also hosting you dont have the noise.

As far as easy profit buying BTC and a few altcoin's if you are feeling like gambling are the easiest way.  But many like myself enjoy the mining.
