If you have collateral I'll do this.

I'm happy, my sell order got filled on Yobit. Now I'm probably done speculating on Lisk for as long as I live.
omg, you just got caught lying. Nobody can use lisk yet, cause the wallet can't be opened... Shame on you. Oh man...how sad. That is what I meant, sir. The IOU, not the coin itself. I would assume, however, that what's trading on Yobit right now is tracking the real coin. Am I right? If that wasn't the case, there'd be a huge arbitrage opportunity. Also, I'm not bragging here. My sell order got executed but all in all I made a few dollars profit, nothing huge by any means.

Maybe he likes men.
And sure, if you have loads of money you don't have to obsess about getting more (though many rich folks do). Who knows about anyone on this forum.

What's a maximalist? Never heard that term before. Opposite of minimalist?
I've had Spoetnik on ignore for the last year. He and gleb gamow were spamming one of the threads about Cryptsy, and it was just ridiculous. Roach I don't mind. His posts are inflammatory but I wouldn't exactly call it trolling.

Is lisk trading on Yobit or is it still that IOU/derivative thing? Whatever it is, it's still trading and has dropped some.

Looks like 3rd world country scammer. If anyone balks at escrow then it's pretty safe to assume their intention is to scam.
Implying that all scammers come from third world countries? No but this one in particular writes like he's a scummy third world scammer. I'm sorry, I take offense at people who don't scam in their native tongue.

Beautiful. This is exactly why account sales should be banned. I don't buy the argument that they'll just happen elsewhere. That's a stupid excuse for not banning something.

Didn't the TF account get sold? I thought whoever owns it now is not the same original scammer-owner. Is that true?

Dude, I buy stocks with cash. I get paid in cash. It would be pointless to buy stocks with bitcoin simply for the sake of using bitcoin. And I find it hard to believe that you're going to set yourself up as a broker. Who are you, exactly?

What? This whole thing is wholly retarded. This is like the gold and silver bugs making outrageous predictions, or like the dumbasses who were calling for the Dow Jones industrial average to blow past 36,000 back in 1999/2000. They get press and that's what they want.

There are waaaaaay too many coins on the market. Yours is going to serve no purpose, just like the other ones and you know it.

Their #1 reason for holding bitcoin: Investment. Bitcoin would work great as a currency, but no one wants to spend it!
If you ever receive all your income in Bitcoin, you have to spend Bitcoin. But yes, Bitcoin would work great as a currency if everybody used only Bitcoin and such scalling in number of transactions is ever possible. Sound money > debt based currency. Right, IF I got paid in bitcoin. But I don't and I don't know anybody else who does. That's my point. It would work great as a currency if everyone got paid in bitcoin and things were priced in bitcoin. But they're not.

Anybody know what's happening with the Lisk IOU thing on Yobit once the coin actually launches?
They seem to move independently, but it should be interesting to see what happens.

Guys, don't be suckers. Swearing to god is no substitute for a nonreversible payment method. Scammers scam for less than $1 all the time.

Added full article to the first post.
Very cool, thank you. The headline doesn't exactly match the article, but it's a pretty good piece about bitcoin. The people who were referred to weren't gold bugs by any means. Their #1 reason for holding bitcoin: Investment. Bitcoin would work great as a currency, but no one wants to spend it!

So basically, the money that is wasted on the ICO will go to some jerk's pockets, who will then use it to buy a sweet car? Great! Sign me up - I love subsiding hedonism.
Well I assume that's what happens with all of these coins. But that doesn't mean the rest of us can't make money off of them. I do question utility of these coins though, and I don't think any of them have a legitimate use other than speculation.

Thanks for the link, and I'd love to read the article but the WSJ requires a subscription.
Just from the headline though, I figured gold and silver bugs would jump on board with bitcoin. But they tend to be a weird bunch.
