14341  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bridge to the Crimea! on: May 23, 2018, 03:19:55 AM
The bridge will be hugely beneficial for the people of Crimea, who are suffering from the blockade imposed by Ukraine. The cost of food items and medicines will go down, and it will be easy for the Crimeans to travel to the Russian mainland. Just told my opinion, and don't want to bring politics here.
14342  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Alternatives to death penalty? on: May 23, 2018, 03:17:09 AM
Death penalty has its pro and con but I think it has little effect on reducing crimes. Though it does help reducing cost spent on prison. What do you guys think? Is there alternatives to punishing crimes?

Liberals tend to believe that death penalty is having little effect on reducing crimes. But the evidences point towards quite the opposite. And it does not reduce the prison cost. On average, the death row convict spends some 20-25 years in prison before the sentence is carried out. And the costs may be higher, since he is being kept in solitary confinement.
14343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Joining my first Bounty Campaign in Bitcointalk on: May 23, 2018, 02:13:56 AM
Hi everyone, it's my first time joining a Bounty campaign with Telegram and signature campaigns as well. Hoping that this project will be a success since it is a very promising project.
How was your first campaign like? Would be happy to read your story.

I joined my first bounty campaign in 2017 using my Twitter account. I made the Tweets/Retweets for only 2 weeks (out of the total 8 weeks). But even then I got a nice reward in the end (tokens worth around $100, which were immediately converted to ETH).
14344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favorite Exchanges? on: May 23, 2018, 02:09:26 AM
For now i love binance and bittrex but i love bittrex more because they have new platform and it's very comfortable for me to trade there

I can't comment about Binance, because I never had an account in that exchange. I have used Bittrex and liked their UI and setup, but I have used it only for low volume trades. The advantage with Bittrex is that they haven't asked me for any ID document till now.
14345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH next to BTC? on: May 23, 2018, 02:08:04 AM
I think Ethereum will not be able to replace Bitcoin in the first position, Bitcoin is the main coin in the world of cryptocurrency sought by investors, so I think Bitcoin will continue to grow and become bigger in the future.

There is no doubt that Bitcoin will continue to grow and get bigger in the future. But at the same time, there is a very strong possibility that some of the altcoins (NEO, ETH or ADA) may replace Bitcoin as the no.1 crypto-currency, as the technology of Bitcoin gets outdated.
14346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty and too many participants on: May 23, 2018, 02:05:20 AM
Really? i have not noticed so far. the bounty campaign that i am currently in is almost empty. but as i just read, it is not empty everywhere. apparently some bounty campaigns are overrun and others are nearly empty.

That may be because the bounty campaign in which you are participating is a bad one and is likely to offer you some worthless tokens in the end. You don't need to be mad at me, as I was just listing out a possibility. But it will be wrong to say that the bounty campaigns are not witnessing a swell in the number of participants.
14347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Participating in bounties with low allocations on: May 23, 2018, 02:01:15 AM
I would go for a good bounty with 1% allocation, rather than a bad bounty with 5% allocation. Because in the latter case, there is a very good chance that the token reward that you get in the end may be worthless.
14348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you sell right away or wait? on: May 23, 2018, 01:57:05 AM
To get more profits, I prefer holding mine and wait for the higher price although sometimes it will take a long time. However I also sometimes sell my bounty rewards right away since I am facing an emergency situation where I extremely need money. If I could suggest, you'd better hold yours for a higher price because I believe the longer you hold, the more profits you may get later.

The market looks quite depressed now and I don't think that the recovery is going to start this year. This is one of the main reason why I am dumping the vast majority of the tokens as soon as I get them. But I do keep 10% to 20% of them for the long-term.
14349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking to buy an apartment using altcoin on: May 23, 2018, 01:52:51 AM
Hi Guys,

Which countries/islands allows people to buy real estate/land using alt coins?

I think Germany and Switzerland are two countries that allow people to purchase apartments and villas through payments made in Bitcoins. There may be a lot more, as I am seeing listings in various real-estate sites from countries in the Caribbean and the Pacific.
14350  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it digital gold? on: May 22, 2018, 02:49:43 PM
I don't want to compare Bitcoin with gold. Because both are having different purpose. Gold is a stable asset, which can be used to store wealth. On the other hand, Bitcoin is a very volatile asset, which can be used for investment.
14351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL( Indian Premier League) Prediction Thread, 2018. on: May 22, 2018, 02:46:54 PM
Big match today,CSK vs SRH.Who is going to win?

I will always bet on CSK because they are much stronger team now while from seeing the last match the powerful bowling and batting but SRH lost their last three matches which show that their were slightly missing their form.

SRH is in a lot of trouble now and they have lost 6 wickets for 88. The pace-bowling combination of Ngidi-Chahar-Thakur is proving to be quite lethal. I believe that CSK is going to win this match. At the most, SRH may end up with 120 or 130.
14352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 22, 2018, 02:44:46 PM
Yes i am really very dissapointed with Punjan as they were my favorite team and in the first half of the tournament they were the table toppers...but dont know what happened to them and they keep on loosing and loosing...now i dont know which team to support

The Punjab batsmen (with the exception of Rahul) failed to convert their 20s and 30s to half-centuries. Karun Nair was the perfect example. He got a fifty in the last match, but the vast majority of his innings ended in the 30s.
14353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: May 22, 2018, 02:42:34 PM
@yoseph, @tomahawk9, I heard that the only reason Martinez doesn't like Nainggollan is that Radja smokes. If it's truth, I think the decision to not select him is twice stupider as it could be in compare with the cases like Deschamps vs Benzema or Sampaoli vs Icardi.

Jep, Martinez is not really found of Radja, which is why he didn't select them. Stupid choice as Naingolan can really make the difference.
What I also don't understand why they prolonged the contract of Martinez, he is not really the best coach for Belgium.

Just read the news a few hours back and I was shocked, to be honest. I never expected the Belgians to let off Radja Nainggolan from their squad. IMO, he is a better player when compared to others such as Axel Witsel and Marouane Fellaini.
14354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ranking list of the oldest crypto coins still being traded. on: May 22, 2018, 02:36:38 PM
It is interesting to note that from 2009 to 2014 (five years), the number of different cryptos released was less than 100. And during the next 5 years (2014-2019), more than 10,000 different coins were released. Any guesses for 2019-2024?
14355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of bitcoins on: May 22, 2018, 02:33:31 PM
When we talk about the future of Bitcoin in cryptocurrency world and in tge real world, there's a high probability that Bitcoin will last longer and it will not just go away easily; the price will not go lower to the point it is no longer valuable.

Since there are more than 100 million users, it is difficult to imagine a scenario where Bitcoin will become worthless overnight. Even if it becomes worthless in the future, it will be a very slow process, stretching for more than 10 years (similar to the share price of Yahoo!).
14356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can FUD destroy bitcoin? on: May 22, 2018, 02:30:06 PM
Many of the FUDs circulating about bitcoin seem to indicate the scouring of bitcoin users' trust on bitcoin so bad perceptions of bitcoin, especially for new users and selling bitcoin, which seems deterrent to use bitcoin, will the price of bitcoin be destroyed by FUD, How do you react to it?

Bitcoin has been in existence for almost 10 years now and from the very beginning there have been attempts to spread FUD about the crypto-currency. But the number of users and trade volume has been rising despite all these negatives. So I am confident that FUD will have very little impact on BTC.
14357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you sell right away or wait? on: May 22, 2018, 02:27:08 PM
It all depends on the situation. But basically I'm expecting a good price, because projects often cost cheaply. And it makes no sense to sell them so cheaply

Nowadays many of the ICOs are over-priced and they keep the hardcaps at very high level. This has caused even good projects to go down in value once the tokens are listed in the exchanges. But if you are so confident about them, then you can hold the tokens for medium-term.
14358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which Exchange do you all recommend? on: May 22, 2018, 02:20:52 PM
Using Binance at the moment. Is that one of the best, or there are better ones?  I live in Sydney Australia by the way.

And which exchange has the lowest fees?

And do I need to provide photo ID etc to join them and to start buying coins?

Thanks:)

I am using at least a dozen exchanges, including cryptopia, livecoin, wex.nz, kraken and bittrex right now. Out of them, I like cryptopia the most. And most of these exchanges require a photo ID only if your trade volume is in excess of $5,000 per day.
14359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Participating in bounties with low allocations on: May 22, 2018, 02:18:37 PM
If you look at the signature bounties, then I have to say that the average reward ranges anywhere from $0 to $5,000 (or even more if you are extremely lucky). If the ICO is a very good one, then even a 1% allocation can bring you a decent amount of funds. On the other hand, if the ICO fails, then all your time and effort will be wasted.
14360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH next to BTC? on: May 22, 2018, 02:14:35 PM
Ethereum is nearby, but it will not be able to take the place of bitcoin because the bitcoin technology is more advanced

Do you think that the technology behind Bitcoin is more advanced than that behind Ethereum? I am afraid that you are wrong. Ethereum is backed up by a much more advanced technology. BTC is just a crypto-currency. ETH is both a crypto-currency and a platform for the launch of crypto-applications.
