2600    had some discounts so  2400

and of course all the other parts on hand.

Selling 2 xmr rigs to help fund it.

14343  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 841 not recognized by the controller on: April 09, 2020, 11:08:41 PM
have they ever worked with that controller?

Have you ever had other  Avalon  gear working with that controller?

Can you find the controller in a browser?
14344  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [4+ EH] Slush Pool (slushpool.com); Overt AsicBoost; World First Mining Pool on: April 09, 2020, 05:29:27 PM

A question. I show 3 hits for blocks (from hardware specs on data hall on this machine) on www.slushpool.org on my ONE Bitmain S9i unit I've run for maybe 6 months.

In that Slushpool Merge mines....these are likely NOT Bitcoin blocks, right? Or are they simply blocks I hit with others I happened to be mining with?

Just curious if they are actually Bitcoin Blocks hit on this machine. IF so I've used up all my luck in my life and may expire soon from a meteorite strike.

Again, the machine itself at the data hall only states 'blocks found'

thanks

Searing

Well slush may merge mine and keep those coins. NMC would be one of a possible few.  But if you hit 3 NMC blocks it would still be a lot of blocks as NMC diff is pretty high.
14345  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: April 09, 2020, 04:38:21 PM
well

microbt

m10 60 watts low 68 watts high
m20s  49 watts
m30s  40 watts?

avalon
1041  about 58 watts
1066  about 58 watts

innosilicon

t3t39
t3t50
t3t58   all around 60-65 watts

ebang not sure

cheetah around 60 watts

All of the above is more then 20% of network maybe 30%  and it may not average 60watts it may be just over.

first a few  interesting things is

After the ½ ing  BCH is not dropping hash rate.
The net work is still about 3.3eh even with earning at 6.7 cents a th daily

BSV does ½ in 6-8 hours

and btc is due in 33 days.

BCH  price jump up a bit  so after ½ ing we are at 0.0835
BSV  price is flat    so after ½ ing we are at 0.0617

and they are doing about 6eh of hash .  So unless all that gear is 40 watts a th it is not making much at all.  at 40 watts say 1 k-watt  to make  8 cent of coin  or 1 k-watt to make 6 cent of coin

So you need 5 cent power and all s17 to mine at a profit.

Watching both of them should help us predict BTC  in about 32 days at that ½ ing

if corona-v does not mutate to   corona-v FU  and then who cares about this Shocked

Along the same lines here is an offer in marketplace.

Not 100% certainly illegal like the first thread but pretty much can't be a good thing.

Theymos mentioned reporting threads that are certainly wrong.

This thread is most likely a crime or a scam attempt.

If I were a mod I would nuke it as it can't be legit.

It has stayed in place a few days. I posted a warning post and try as I might I can not figure anyway it can be legal.

You would be defrauding the seller (amazon or whatever) or the op would be scamming you or a honey pot by a government agent trying to trap you.

No legit purpose that I can figure for the thread.
14347  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: April 09, 2020, 04:48:28 AM

14348  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Used Antminer S17 Pro - Having issues and PO finally said he had it plugged 120v on: April 09, 2020, 02:55:24 AM
some pools may have issues and not accept the miner.

solo.ckpool.org should work. you can put it in three times with different address you control.
14349  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: April 09, 2020, 01:36:48 AM
I think the price needs to be over 8k to break all time hashrate.

And that may be an underestimate of price needed.

But I do believe   we will go over 150eh this year.
14350  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Used Antminer S17 Pro - Having issues and PO finally said he had it plugged 120v on: April 09, 2020, 12:17:22 AM
Once again   the shit in red is standard  and will show  until machine connects

once miner gets here:

Code:
2020-04-08 17:02:37 driver-btm-api.c: 197: set_miner_status: STATUS_INIT
2020-04-08 17:02:42 driver-btm-api.c: 197: set_miner_status: STATUS_OKAY
2020-04-08 17:02:43 fréquence.c: 196: get_ideal_hash_rate_GH: ideal_hash_rate = 53579
2020-04-08 17:02:43 fréquence.c: 212: get_sale_hash_rate_GH: sale_hash_rate = 53000

that red type goes bye bye.

So the question is  do you connect and mine at all?

The logs show you start to mine.  do you get and hash action at all say 5 minutes then the reboot?

Or does the

Code:
2020-04-08 17:02:37 driver-btm-api.c: 197: set_miner_status: STATUS_INIT
2020-04-08 17:02:42 driver-btm-api.c: 197: set_miner_status: STATUS_OKAY
2020-04-08 17:02:43 fréquence.c: 196: get_ideal_hash_rate_GH: ideal_hash_rate = 53579
2020-04-08 17:02:43 fréquence.c: 212: get_sale_hash_rate_GH: sale_hash_rate = 53000

show and it reboots in  under 30 seconds or a minute?

I had a miner  that would go all the way until  mining then would reboot.

I took away 1 board and issue ended.
14351  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: April 08, 2020, 10:53:10 PM
I get the argument. But I have typed before in this thread that 75,000,000 USD is enough money to run over 50eh for a month.  So if 17,000,000 btc has been mined

at 7,000 a coin that is 119 billion
at 6,000 a coin that is 102 billion
at 5,000 a coin that is   85 billion
at 4,000 a coin that is   68 billion
at 3,000 a coin that is   51 billion
at 2,000 a coin that is   34 billion
at 1,000 a coin that is   17 billion

So I am certain that the 75 million in power would be spent till the next adjustment

with the ½ factor and any of the prices above.

Which means you need destroyed gear and lots of it along with both of the above for your issue to happen.

Now  do i think price can be tanked to 1,000 sure if the right people do it.
do I think they will do it no I don't think so.

the ½ ing over makes your example possible for 1 adjustment.

so we need the ½ ing on day 1 of the adjustment
we need a really low price point on the same day
we need ½ the gear to be turned off.
we need the other ½ to be compromised down to ⅛ destroyed confiscated etc
we need all asic builders to shut down

which would mean 8 x 13 = 104 days to next adjustment.

Now you also are saying in addition to all of the above  that no one will step up to rent  any of the gear turned off .

You can bet people will want to rent to save their held coins.

So it is more likely  a second far more deadly wave of corona-v 2x happens we have already have this history during the spanish flu.

So rather then push an unlikely problem such as you mention  which is possible but really not so likely.  why not ask do you think the second wave of corona-v happens and do you think it will be really bad like the spanish flu was.

lets try it another way.  what did you think is the chance of all the wrong things happening such as you mention.

1 in 10
1 in 100
1 in 1000
1 in 10,000

vs corona-v has  a far more deadly second wave

1 in 5
1 in 50
1 in 500

I would guess the odd above far easier for corona-v 2x to occur then your idea.

my guesses are in bold type.
14352  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: April 08, 2020, 07:36:15 PM
he pushes that fear a lot.  It is possible but you need the ½ ing and a real crash in price along with government action against chinese asic companies to all occur on the 1st day of a difficulty adjustment.

So do I think it could happen yes do I think it is likely to happen no.

If price drops to 3000
if ½ occurs right then
if china raids every big farm they can
if china arrest multiple asic builders
if a natural disaster destroys a usa farm and a canada farm  he would be correct.

Note all must happen within 1 or 2 days at the beginning of an adjustment period.

This stuff gets spammed & quickly deleted all the time. Use the "report to moderator" link.

I did that do that but this one had more detail than anyone I had ever seen so I started this thread.
My fear was three fold:

the people doxxed in detail could be robbed.

if dark webbers did 100 or two hundred a day on bitcointalk our website could be targeted

lastly

if it was simply a honey pot from a government agency.
which would hurt our website if someone connected to our website site uses it and is caught.
14354  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: April 08, 2020, 06:02:48 PM
No it won't  take as long as you think.

Any big holder has a vested interest in keeping hash rate up.

The worst case is an instant 50%  hashrate drop on day 1 which equals   28 days until the next jump.

BSV will ½ in a day

I expect the hash to leave them and come to BTC this week.

At least this is a good sign:

An Error Has Occurred!
The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you.

Good glad it was removed.

you know posting dox like that could be a way to attack bitcointalk.

i hope this does not happen over and over again.

at mods thanks for deletion.

To be honest I have never seen that style of doxxing on bitcointalk.

If we were to get this a lot it would be an issue.

Assuming the info is correct and people  use it to steal.
14360  Other / Meta / The credit card info sale is not good. on: April 08, 2020, 01:28:26 AM
The thread needs deleting asap

multiple names are doxxed.

https : / /bitcointalk . org / index . php ? topic = 523 xxxx.x

has to be criminal to do what he or she is posting.

note:

Can I ask to edit the link in OP (topic=5xxxxx4.0) since it is archived as iasenko mentioned and not only in loyce.club but in other websites. A quick search (wxxx...xxx4[at]yahoo.com) and i found the same topic posted over and over in many forums, most of it deleted except in 2 or 3 forums. One time he/she is explaining his bullshit... Same spammed username ofc in every forum...
