But since they have enough wickets, if they try to collect more runs without worrying about wickets now, maybe 160-165 is possible for Ireland. But West Indies can play better than Ireland so my prediction seems that West Indies are very likely to win the match. Ireland wasn't able to make a big target. Peshawar Zalmi need another 114 runs to win, and now the required run rate has gone to almost 13 per over. They still have the wickets. Rovman Powell is batting with Saim Ayub, and then they have Bhanuka Rajapaksa and James Neesham to come. Zalmi lost the momentum after Mohammad Haris got out and now the required rate has become too steep for them to chase. On top of that, Multan bowlers are really bowling in a tight line and length for the last 5 overs (Zalmi only scored 31 runs and lost 2 wickets during the last 5 overs).
Peshawar Zalmi started the chase very aggressively but it was always difficult to keep up the constant pace for consecutive 20 overs. Though by looking at the score it may seem that it was one sided match but believe me it was not at least till the 10-12 overs of Peshawar Zalmi. Peshawar Zalmi was performing very well till 9 overs after that their disaster started. Chasing 200 in T20 is very difficult. Every batsman has to be on the wicket with run pressure to chase such a big score. These two things become very difficult to control at that point. As happened in today's match. After the fall of the second wicket, Peshawar Zalmi's rhythm dropped. As a result, they have to accept a defeat of 56 runs. Multan played very well and set Peshawar Zalmi a target of 210 runs. Targeting 210 runs in a T20 match is a big deal. But Peshawar Zalmi lost all their wickets for just 154 runs so they lost to Multan Sultan by a huge margin. The difference in runs between the two teams was 56 runs. Peshawar Zalmi scored 154 runs in 18.5 overs. Even if they could have played the entire 20 overs, it would have been impossible to score 56 runs in the remaining 7 balls.
