1441  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bitcointalk is censoring my topics on: August 18, 2023, 12:18:13 PM
OP I noticed that this account is a new one though and I have no doubt the previous account created was for this same course which you are desperately in pursuit of the so called scammer you are after.

There are laid down rules and procedures of must tag one a scammer here. Just as the other replies you got here to follow procedures before you accuse someone. You have no evidence to prove your point here.

I checked and based on what was said here, the previous complaints of yours was having sensitive details which are against the policies and as such should be protected until investigations are done but you will need to provide evidence for which you are talking about.

So OP if you must call this a course on your path then you must present a proof of allegations for your accusations to be taken serious otherwise you have no case.

Most people here got to know this platform after being scammed several times by scammers. Maybe through their friends and possibly research too got them here and In the process became members after a long time of observations and studies. They finally learnt what they are interested in knowing here and can attest it. You too are a witness here as you have said.
Oboy be like say na me you dey tok about oo. If you know di kind times wey dem don scammed me before my oga come carry me come here you know go believe oo. I don really enter scammers hands but I thank God for everything. Today na oh, I no dey feel am again. A glory to God. And some people wey don try enter here sef still dey commont because dem no fit dey patient to see things how it works. Dem go registered and 3 to 4 weeks and if dem no give am anything dem go tuama from the forum?

Abeg o ! I no mean you oo! Na just illustration I dey do o. E dey sad to dey recall ordeals with scammers but most of them Na lesson's in disguise.  Na true say people no dey patient enough to wait and see the outcome of their efforts in a gradual process but rather dem want ozi gbo Ozi gbo!! parol wey no dey  go down well with them.
Like the saying goes "patience is a virtue" it takes patience to build and to gather that is what people fail to understand. They think it will just start manifesting in a short time for them to start merriment.  Them forget say seed wey person plant go need water and constant attention to grow up. Na so e be every where.
1443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Next Bitcoin Bull Run: Is It Tied to the Next Halving? on: August 17, 2023, 09:49:16 PM
From my little research and findings bull run does not necessarily means that the price must surpass the last all time high but it definitely would surpass the initial price  to which it was before the bull run. So technically, it is best one accumulates enough Bitcoin as it is now at the lower price and doing that you already know that would yield some more big profit and Note this is not a financial advise.
While it is not a must to reach a new all time high for a movement to be called a bull run, it is necessary to instill confidence on the market, after all bitcoin went from 3k which was its lowest point during the previous bear market to 69k, now the bottom during this cycle was 15k, if bitcoin was unable to reach a new ATH this will raise some red flags, as it should be easier to reach 69k than in the past, and if the demand does not have the strenght to make the price that high then this could be a sign about the popularity of bitcoin declining.

I do not think confidence is lost in any ways as the market force pressure is still ok. What I just feel is the possibility of market manipulation by the whales to accumulate more ahead of the Bitcoin halving and if you check, the price is currently down and more purchase are recorded  on daily basis via exchanges and well known p2p platforms globally.
Bitcoin reaching all time high or not would not trigger any alarm as people are fully informed about Bitcoin volatility and market actions. So I do not see any possibility of Bitcoin decline in demand after halving irrespective of the fact of not surpassing previous all time high.
1444  Other / Archival / Re: Been a long time.. glad im back... on: August 17, 2023, 08:28:35 PM
Ive stayed away for the last few years, but im back.. I see a lot of old but wow, so many new faces...Bitcoin sure has come along way since I opened my first account here in early 2011..

It's good you are back mate. I believe you are back here with a good, better and stronger perspective to add more to the forum as a high rank member you are but I was wondering if it was typo or something else that you mentioned 2011 but I am seeing 2012 on your profile. However, I will advise you edit it and make corrections there so as not to get people confused or possibly doubt your authenticity here.
Good to see an old member back onboard. I know you must have noticed some sort of changes in participants or possibly members here compared to years back when this platform was just starting. Nice to see you active again.
1445  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How you got your first Bitcoin? on: August 17, 2023, 07:49:38 PM
Na that one  be the problem wey we dey face say people wey no Sabi road dey enter wrong hands and when them enter like that, them go begin dey talk nonsense about Bitcoin wey in the real sense them no do their own research on the right channel to get the Bitcoin but rather dem go do things their own way and got scammed. After which them go begin dey throw blame game to people wey dem no suppose as a result of their ignorance.

Na true you talk, na people were no get idea about Bitcoin na him dey usually scam, some people that you are seeing talking nonsense about Bitcoin that is a scam, dey don't get knowledge on it, or dey just don't have interest on crypto, and dey won't let someone to join since there are not in the game. dey will like to convince the person with bad talk so that will stop and can't invest in it. Some will need fast money and do trading and lose, and dey will start complaining since dey don't have any ideas about trading, some people know dey tell person the risk past on investing in Bitcoin but just telling them the benefits. That is why some of them are saying Bitcoin is scam and is not suppose to be.
Greediness sef de make some people to be scammed. And people wey dey enter scammers hands na di people wey use Facebook and telegram dey enter scammers hand well well. And also those people as you said wey no know anything about bitcoin nai dem dey scam pass. Nai make forum is good because im go teach you how to avoid all those things. Me dem don scam me well well but no for cryptocurrency because dat time I never even know cryptocurrency sef. We should be careful with our dealings with others. As Igebotz said sometime a ago, even a friend is not trusted.

Na true sha but no be everybody Sabi say this kind platform dey exist. Some people no still know say something of this nature dey here. Naim make dem no too get knowledge about scam activities as e relate to Bitcoin purchase. Most people here got to know this platform after being scammed several times by scammers. Maybe through their friends and possibly research too got them here and In the process became members after a long time of observations and studies. They finally learnt what they are interested in knowing here and can attest it. You too are a witness here as you have said.

1446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Next Bitcoin Bull Run: Is It Tied to the Next Halving? on: August 17, 2023, 07:25:37 PM
Not exactly that the bull run is programmed or tied to Bitcoin's halving, but rather the psychological part of it on investors that Bitcoin gets cut into halves and the inflation rate reduced, instigating the buying pressure that brings about a bull market thereafter.
We may get or may not get the usual super bull run, where we do see crazy price movement because of diminishing returns, an example is seen from the previous bull market where almost everyone was expecting the price to go way high $100k-$250k per BTC.

I don't think anything programming is attached to the bullrun but is it generally speculated that after halving comes bull run because and that has been so over the we years and I don not think there would be any difference from the previous this time. Although it might likely not not go beyond the last all time high but the price is expected to grow or bull than its current state when it's time for the halving.

Although all these are just speculations from different quarters but I believe the notion has already been there long before now and whenever it gets to that point, the demand for Bitcoin surges and that alone makes the price for Bitcoin surges higher than it was.

So therefore, I have no doubt the next bull run will be different from other previous ones that have already occurred.

It's safe to follow the trend, as typically after the halving, the price of Bitcoin rises. The next halving is scheduled for April 25, 2024. It might be a good idea to start accumulating Bitcoin next year, as Bitcoin's price is currently not at its lowest. Although the price has stabilized in the range of $29k to $30k, there's a possibility that it could still drop before the next bull run occurs. Timing is crucial if we're aiming for significant profits, not this year but the next, because halving usually brings positive news.

However, if you're a short-term trader, no specific date or year is important, as the market is volatile. You can trade on any given date.

Of course timing is crucial when it comes to Bitcoin investment and doing it now would put you on the  right track. As it is currently, now is the right time to accumulate more Bitcoin as the price is on the lower side. While we approach the halving next year there is always uncertainty which would trigger market actions either on the buying side or the selling side either way, both work for the good of price action as the demand and other factors would definitely come in play. Just like you have said, surely we are looking forward to seeing and hearing the good news come halving next year.
It's probable that it will surpass the current all-time high and increase significantly before the market enters a correction stage again.

EmbarrassedGetting bitcoin is very easy as you could imagine but even to that extent of it being that easy, one would need to be extremely careful so as not to get issues in the process of owning bitcoin as there are lots of scammers out there waiting for who to fall for them so they could take from them their time, resources, energy and skills put  together in doing works.
People way no Sabi anything for Bitcoin investment nah them scammers they easily fraud and them go come talk say Bitcoin nah scam while them  no no say nah scammer nai scam them and this issues nai make other people way never participate for this Bitcoin matter they get double thoughts about bitcoin.

1451  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free Condolence Bonuses to Betnomi exit scam victims on: August 17, 2023, 10:17:19 AM
<...>
1. No. We do not require KYC on Free Condolence Bonuses. Also no deposit needed.
2. It depends on the circumstance of each case. However it is lower than most some other bonuses like our Deposit Bonus. And the bonus amount can be used on any casinos & sports.

This "condolence bonus" is just one big joke. I lost 28K in Betnomi and I had to fill in a document with all kinds of screenshots to prove my losses in there, and that took me about an hour. And all I got is a bonus of just 200 USD.

They make it look like a generous bailout action but it's just some bullshit action to get some more customers.
-snip-

Regarding the bonus amount you received, we understand your sentiment. Our intention behind offering the bonus was to provide a measure of relief and support to those affected within our capacity. We carefully considered various factors in determining the bonus amounts, including the extent of the losses and the available resources. Unfortunately, by no means are we capable of matching the amount stuck in Betnomi.

We sincerely apologize that our efforts fell short of meeting your expectations. We have been monitoring the free condolence bonus and will consider the possibility of offering high amount to victims, especially those who have a significant amount being stolen there.

-snip-

Great way to manage the discussion. You are offering a small relief that may feel not enough for some users who lost high deposited amounts, but you weren't obliged to do it, and it is still something. In addition, no KYC and lower wager requirements than the typical ones for promotional, commercial bonuses, suggests that those condolence prizes are more of an aid than a mere advertisement.

I wasn't one of the victims, but I appreciate the initiative and I wish you all (casino and users) the best. GekkeBelg, I feel specially sorry for your situation. I hope you recover from the losses soon. Next time avoid making such big deposits in any kind of custodial services.

In the first place it is generally advised that one should only trade with what they can afford to lose as the case may be and another is that you do not save or keep huge amount of funds with third parties as it is not advisable meaning that it is not under your custody and anything not under your custody is not your own as you do not have full control and authority over it.

Although it is sad to have lost such huge amount of funds but it was not worth it keeping such an amount of money with a casino you are not sure of. I think this serves as a lesson to other gamblers out there who still have such an amount of funds with third parties and casinos. It would be wise they  withdraw their funds from them to their own self custodial wallet.

Welcome onboard. I see you already launched a campaign and are ready for promotion. You definitely took the right step coming. You will do very much better as a manager or representative here.

-snip

Above I got from a review site and your official website as regards your withdrawal and deposit and was curious to know why I am seeing different things as to payment and withdrawal.

OP you made mention of fast withdrawals from your casino upon request but  what I saw was 48 hours which is not in line with what was written here. Your minimum withdrawal and deposit look funny though.
if you look further down on their payment policy you'll find that they stated that "a withdrawal request may be approved or denied within days(48 hours)". it doesn't mean that the gambler would need to wait for 2 days for their withdrawal request to be approved or denied, it means that it could take up to 2 days or within 10 min(or lower). As for the minimum deposit/withdrawal on the BTC, it could be a typo on the gambling review website.

The discrepancies on withdrawal from both parties varies which should need to be corrected because it looks obvious that from the casino website in btc conversion rate, it is higher than that of the review site at least both figures should be in uniformity as not to confuse and mislead the masses.
1453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proposal for mass adoption: the introduction of a new unit of account on: August 16, 2023, 07:56:19 PM
How can renaming Bitcoin to something else to serve as a unit solve the problem of adoption, it's like starting over again, because many people who hasn't yet adopted Bitcoin won't deny that they have heard about the name Bitcoin or read about it and now you would need to explain further about the unit addition and then you have loose their trust before it even begun.

If this was the solution then countries would have changed their currency name to something else to tackle their economical issues, but no it's very fruitless.

I was wondering if OP really had a deep thought of this proposals he or she is putting forward because I see it as unnecessary and a waste of time to be precise. This is just like telling the United States to change their currency from dollar to a fresh new thing entirely which i believe would not go down well with them. Just a laughable idea. little wonder OP refused to use his or her main account for this because of the fear of being greeted with unexpected reactions from members.
1454  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Will it be safe to store assets on opera mini browser wallet? on: August 16, 2023, 07:25:55 PM
OP did a good findings which i believe not everybody knows about it here but I do not see it safe and advisable to use such wallet when one does not know the security features of such wallet. I have not really seen or heard opera mini doing any promotion or awareness of such wallet and from what I can see it looks like  third party affiliation which would require one to be very cautious while dealing. Better still, it would be nice one use it for lesser transactions as to avoid hearing the story that touches the heart.

Do your own research.

1456  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The things that improve a quality post on: August 16, 2023, 01:07:48 PM
In addition, it is not all about what you have listed OP. There are some you are missing as a newbie and I am sure just as you made mention of research here, you did not do a thorough research before writing this. Sometimes it is not about you writing a post that can make a post quality good post. There  are some post or articles out there that are of good quality with educating content which is very rich and good in information and update and one would want bring them here. Newbies are fond of that, they copy and past them here without citing or referencing their source which leads them to being banned or flagged here. So you see now why it is good to reference some post one copied from anywhere or quote the real author of the post. A typical example is here  where a newbie used an AI to generate a post here thinking it would not be noticed but was unfortunate. This is the reason why newbies are advised to take out time to study and ask question where they find difficult to understand so that they do not make mistakes here. I think you too can do same.
1457  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Some of our Nigerians celebrity investors. (With prove) on: August 15, 2023, 09:55:11 PM
Well we never can tell because no be say dem talk am meaning say dem mean am o. E just be like say Na happening trend wey dem feel like to take make hit songs because na wetin dey reign for the entertainment industry now. Even if dem use am sing song, you don see any day dem talk about Bitcoin before? or say  dem grant interview to talk about Bitcoin?
Forget say dem be celebrity that one Na for mouth o. As e be say nobody to pay for advert dem no dey bother talk about Bitcoin but if Na  to talk about casino or sportbook dem no go waste time do the advert as them go pay them. Since Na Bitcoin and nobody dey pay dem dat one Na on your own.

I for like make dem begin vibes to Bitcoin so that their fans go know what's up about Bitcoin. Check out when that one happen just imagine the millions of people wey go begin ask about Bitcoin to know wetin e really mean. Na there the adoption go come strong wella. If dem go fit do a 4 to 5 minutes talk  on Bitcoin put for their social media handles, believe me you the adoption g ok dey massive because people go want to hold Bitcoin as their celebrity dey hold am too.
1458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proposal for mass adoption: the introduction of a new unit of account on: August 15, 2023, 06:58:56 PM
I noticed it is a newbie account making this proposals and I think the face behind this proposals is not a newbie as we think it to be because a newbie can barely come up with such proposals at such early stage for a change or inclusions but I am still curious about it.

OP your proposal is quite alright but I think it would require much deliberation from the community and to be frank reaching a resolve would definitely take time as I see this as it looks unrealistic and unnecessary.
1459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Unit Logo System on: August 15, 2023, 06:21:42 PM
This is a clean touch of excellence. Well designed with the perfect colouration. I think the community would need to decide or choose which would be more suitable for usage as there are lots of others also designed but to be honest, this is unique.

Irrespective of the fact that you already put up the links here for reading I think Putting up the written words and explanatory here would not be an issue so people who find it difficult clicking links can as well read to have knowledge of the design and reasons behind it.
1460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we improve our country by Bitcoin? on: August 15, 2023, 05:52:27 PM
This is a very sensitive topic that definitely would be of good help in educating people. Most times it's not all about the government allowing for buying and selling using Bitcoin as a means of payment but there are some other areas as mentioned by OP but it is unfortunate that OP plagiarised and failed to reference from wherever he or she got it from.

This is the case of newbies here. Plagiarising without citing their source of information making it looks like they wrote it all. Very funny though but OP used AI according to a reply on this thread.

Looking at tourism for instance, Bitcoin when accepted in a country with abundance of tourist attractions, it attracts tourists to that nations as they would pay in Bitcoin thereby increasing the traffic into the country creating a major source of revenue for the country and her citizens.
