But investor of the bitcoin ETF has to trust their central authority which will always have a counterparty risk like mismanagement, fraud etc. Having a bitcoin in our personal wallet with full custody and investing in the share of a companies bitcoin holding is not the same thing. When i have the power to have my own bitcoin into my own pocket then why i would put it into someone Els's pocket by trusting them that they will not do something inappropriate with it! I don't have anything against them since they are helping Bitcoin to spread its use case. But we already forget why Bitcoin was invented and how people got freedom from Governs and elites. We mix up everything and use Bitcoin with banks and centralized exchanges. We trust others with our coins, while the primary purpose of Bitcoin is to void trusted third parties, banks, for example. I destroyed my online life by doing KYC and sharing original information on social media. I somewhat understand the importance of remaining anonymous and keeping everything private. A miner will mine Bitcoin with their ASICs until it gets too old and unprofitable to mine. If someone mines Bitcoin just for profit only, I am not sure if this is perfect for them or not. Even if a few of their signals turn out to be right, it doesn't mean that they are the ultimate experts in the sports betting industry. The research and analysis that they maybe do, can be done by an individual as well if they have an interest in a specific sport that they are willing to bet on.
The problem is newbies will keep joining their platform, and they will keep making money from them. One or two bets could be right if a newbie predicts it. If I place ten bets, I will win some of them. If people see the odds, it's understandable that the low-odds team might win the match. That's why the team got low odds. I believe every newbie will understand at some point. But they will lose the money already, and some other newbie will pay them for the same reason. This is why Ponzi schemes still work despite thousands of scam reports. |

I think it is time for ICC to actually let go of test cricket. Instead of spending time and resources on test cricket, I think they really should spend those things for the t20 format. In this day and age, everyone wants to see the winning team have more skill compared to luck.
I don't think the ICC will ever get rid of test cricket since the recent Ashes has proven that it still has a sizeable audience who are willing to watch them despite all of the problems associated with it. T-20 format is definitely a lot more entertaining in comparison, but the test format is special in its own way. I have seen somewhere that ICC will reduce the ODI series after 2027 and increase the Test and T20I series. There was a meeting somewhere and former players like Sangakkara and Sachin were in this meeting and they agreed. I don't think ICC will ever think to get rid of the test format. Actually, I found a relevant article from ESPNcricinfo which you may find interesting to read [1]. T20 format spreading all over the world. Even shorter format like T10 getting popularity as well. Since those are short format game, people get entertainment for a few hours. Lot of things happens in a few hours.
