1441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter CEO Sees Big Future for Bitcoin in Africa on: November 29, 2019, 07:05:59 AM
Bitcoin has been the favorite asset for countries in war, oppressive regime or unstable economies.
Africa too has a large wealth gap between the lords and the general public and bitcoin could be a good tool to safeguard the wealth of these lords as the general people would never know how to transact bitcoin.
1442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum prices may never again reach 1000$, says analyst on: November 28, 2019, 08:25:59 PM
Things can go in any side with Ethereum. The future of Ethereum largely depends on the upcoming upgrades. If they are able to upgrade Ethereum without an issue than there's no stopping of Ethereum but some miss would lead to alternative tokens giving a tough fight for Ethereum. Ethereum has a large userbase and headstart while it's technologically older than the new generation utility token.
1443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crowded Casinos - Play or not? on: November 28, 2019, 09:40:02 AM
I prefer not to play in a crowded casino. Even inside a casino I select the games and tables that are less crowded. Playing on a crowded table is irritating. Your turn comes late and there are many people wanting you to leave. It would be difficult to get the attention of the table operator.
1444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best (PoS) Staking Coins for 2020 [Rewards, Staking Process, ROI] on: November 28, 2019, 09:35:17 AM
Well written and informative article. I didn't knew about these staking coins. I knew about TRON but have not heard about it being a staking coin.
I was surprised to see how simple is it to stake TRON. Ethereum surely would be a great coin to invest in 2020.
1445  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Screaming SCAM, means you're stupid. on: November 28, 2019, 09:25:39 AM
It's not wise to generalize all the scam screamers as the same. Some are just throwing their frustrations through words. Some might be unaware and confused of the site rules and some might real be having issues with the sites as even the promising of sites has encounter problems that were solved through research and discussion in this forum.
1446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You think terrorist groups around the world use Cryptos as a means of payment? on: November 28, 2019, 08:39:35 AM
There are not many terrorist groups that has a global presence or reach. They are mostly localized and prefers to trade in fiat or goods as they lack active connection to internet and expertise to handle payments.
ISIS in it's prime was said to be accepting crypto as donations.
1447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Upbit exchange was hacked. 342,000 ETH lost on: November 27, 2019, 09:12:59 PM
With the market just recovering from a sharp fall, this news would act as a resistance to the correction. There are repeated hacks on the centralized exchanges but yet we are not being able to devise a hack proof system. Though currently most of the exchanges covers the loss from their own profit not affecting the normal users, still such incident would have a wrong impact on investors.
1448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Real reasons to Why do you gamble? on: November 27, 2019, 05:00:23 AM
Maybe it's asked before, still, it will help us a lot.

Why do you gamble?

Why do you do not invest that money instead?
Why you do not donate them?

Because you are bored?
Because you are looking for entertainment?
Because you are going after the big score?

Why?

Talking about online gambling, it's because I want to increase my bitcoins while I entertain myself. I am not looking to be on the leaderboard or win a contest as that would be filled by whales. Offline gambling are mostly for fun and spending good times with my friends.
1449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The new Faketoshi strikes again! on: November 26, 2019, 02:17:04 PM
It's totally clear that satoshi intended to be anonymous for his life. He had done so much effort just to hide his tracks and he won't come on now revealing in a stupid way.
If satoshi really wanted to reveal himself, he would have come up with verifiable proof. Either satoshi is dead or don't want to reveal him till date.
1450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS Recognized as the Top Blockchain by Esteemed Research Analysts on: November 26, 2019, 10:32:46 AM
EOS also holds the first position in Chinese government backed workgroups rating among popular crypto. It's also one of the best performing crypto and one of the newest top 10 coins by marketcap. Thought their price has been frustrating compared to their once all time high, still there are good profit for patient holders.
1451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be realistic for the world to run on cryptocurrencies? on: November 26, 2019, 10:24:49 AM
I am just wondering would it be possible in the future for the world to run solely on cryptocurrency? Considering that right now there are many people from different walks of life who are using cryptocurrencies in their day to day life. I think right now one of the main limiting factors for world-wide cryptocurrency usage is the world’s governments who make restrictions on cryptocurrency usage. Moreover, I also think another factor in limiting cryptocurrency usage is a lot of people’s lack of understanding of cryptocurrencies as it is a rather new technology to most people.

I think that we can solve most of these problems by educating people about cryptocurrencies and debunking what the mainstream media have done to slander cryptocurrencies.
I honestly think that if these issues a solved then we will probably have more people to use cryptocurrencies worldwide.

What would do you guys think, I’m just speaking (posting) my thoughts over here. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. I’ just rather optimistic about the future of cryptocurrency usage in the future.

This would be the future. The crypto might not be exactly what are circulating now. But surely soon we would be surrounded by different tokens that may or maynot have monetarial value. Some may even act as redeemable points. It would also not be necessary to convert the crypto to an equal fiat value when all of our activities are done by exchanging crypto among ourselves.
1452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Mobile Mining exists at all? on: November 24, 2019, 02:46:33 PM
We all know that mobile phones are a delicate pieces of gadgets. As mining is a hectic task for computers, the devices we use should be able to sustain the load and be equally worth of resources at the same time. So for such a task, indeed they will serve us for a shorter period of time when we compare their service time with a PC.

There are some coins which can also be mined with mobile and one of those coins is ELECTRONEUM. I have read the reviews made by different users of electroneum mining app and they concluded that they get approx 5-6 electroneum coins per day. So with current market price it is less than 100 sat a day with internet, electricity and wear tare costs of the device. If why would someone risk the smartphone for just 6 elec a day?

So why companies advertise their coins with describing mobile mining as a benefit? Make your coin enough valuable that miners leave other coins for your coin mining. Or otherwise companies should leave this idea.

Trying to mine a crypto from mobile is a suicidal act for the hardware.
Electroneum on the other hand is not mining through mobile. It's just a mining simulator. It's an Electroneum faucet that gives you the sense of mining from mobile. It's not a resource heavy app. Pi is a similar app that uses virtual mining to give you rewards in their tokens.
1453  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Main Club Partner of Watford FC ⚽ Fun. 🏀 Fast. 🎾 Fair. on: November 24, 2019, 02:41:40 PM
But it does not make sense why that would be anyway. Why would they?

Maybe they are monitoring the situation with local fiat bookies and than adjusting the odds to get maximum margin while still staying highly competitive. I know for a fact that some fiat bookies employ psychologist to better squeeze the players. His main job is to hand pick those few games labeled "super bets" - highly interesting games offered with no margin or very small margin with usual rule that you have to play at least 5 games on a ticket. It is very lucrative and competitive business so it is only natural that bookies resort to all sort of clever promotions, and odds tweaks.

I still doubt this and hopefully the OP would clear about the situation but it would be rather unfortunate if a Curaçao based online exchange that deals in crypto displays  a lower and higher odds based on the origination of request.

I found this statement of the curacao license
"It is the responsibility of the licensee to be familiar with the local laws and requirements for the territories which they intend to offer their services."
Maybe Germany has some laws that makes the odds different?
1454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 24, 2019, 02:33:35 PM

Liverpool have a great advantage right now, but history has shown that it doesn't have to mean much.
Last season, Liverpool also had a big lead of 7 points over Manchester City but in the end they were second.
The league is very long and hard and it's very difficult to win in continuity.
Manchester will certainly strengthen its defense with new players in January and Liverpool will have a very difficult and busy schedule in December because of FIFA Club World Cup, so if they survive December then they are most likely new champions, after 30 years.
We will see.
In a way, that wait of 30 years for the championship title is probably also a psychological brake for the players and the club.

The big lead was immediately cut because of the loss to City but this time it will not be the same. City as much more shaky, you can see they are not as confident and start slow in almost every game. Liverpool this time are also different they are more confident when behind, no one is nervous anymore and everybody plays like they will win.

For sure Liverpool will lose one or two games. But City as well.

Leicester and Chelsea will be very good, but you are right, if they can catch up, this will be the most exciting title race we never expected!

And spurs,,, well, let us see.

I still doubt they'll catch up with Liverpool. Though there are still January transfers that may change the situation a bit, Liverpool has excelled over almost all of those teams and had displayed a good match on every games. The rest are on another category where they are fighting for positions. I also think we already have our top 4s and it's just the latter three ranking that may change.
1455  Economy / Speculation / Re: Warning! Here's Why BTC is Set To Fall To 3000 or Lower! on: November 24, 2019, 02:27:54 PM
Everyone has the right to think for themselves and when it comes to money, you'd rather be yourself responsible for your money rather than following others. Bitcoin reached a all time high of $19783 and decreased to one third of that time in a month. We can assume bitcoin may reach even lower price but we also must keep in mind that the prices do bounce up.
1456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What role did China Play in the current market declines. on: November 23, 2019, 11:52:55 PM
Bitcoin price is highly volatile and we just need a small spark to make it rise high or fall low. The development in China led to the price crash and now the market is recovering but it would be difficult for it to get a good price as price has always decreased between Christmas and Chinese new year.
1457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metamask hacked ? on: November 23, 2019, 11:38:40 PM
Did you download some software that isn't familiar to you? maybe a malware was installed on your PC. And the amount that was sent to that address was already traded on hitbtc.

If you didn't do that transaction, you should transfer all the other balances to another wallet.

but I have too much game assets

Metamask instantly integrates with many sites and you might have pushed the submit button as the address and amount are already filled by the site while you only need to push the submit button. It may also be hacked by someone/some adware recording your screen or your keystrokes. Or you could also be using a counterfeit metamask if you didn't downloaded it from the chrome webstore.
1458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whale Withdraws $89M BTC, Despite Bloody Market on: November 23, 2019, 03:20:52 PM
Despite Bitcoin plummeting in value, it seems that whales haven’t lost their appetite. One major BTC whale just withdrew 12,000 BTC ($89M) to an external wallet.

The market is in chaos today as Bitcoin experienced another double-digit drop. Just a week ago, Bitcoin was trading at $8,700 — it is now trading at around $7,100. For the first time since May 2019, the market capitalization of the entire cryptocurrency market is under $200B. According to the Crypto Greed & Fear Index, the current sentiment is one of ‘Extreme Fear.’

Source link here

Look guys, I know how it feels when we are in a bloody market. Correct me if I’m wrong, but there will be two scenarios about this Bitcoin whale:

Scenario 1: He bought it at a higher price and withdrew it while Bitcoin is on a bloodbath.

Scenario 2: He bought it at a lower price years ago, and withdrew it without even have to worry about the bloodbath.

If there would be another scenario, what would it be? Can you share it here guys? Thanks in advance!

Maybe he bought when the price started to decrease and now wants to hold it till it doubles. Rather than an individual this most probably could be a miner or an exchange or an investment firm. The good news is many people are positive for the price of bitcoin to bull. And when everybody believes something, it becomes the reality.
1459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use betting tips? on: November 21, 2019, 03:36:56 AM
From my personal experience I used, I paid about $ 70 a month, and I got a ticket every 2 days with odds 3-4, I was not satisfied, I guessed poorly (more precisely that tipser), out of 15 tickets, the hits were 7. which is very bad for that odds. I lost a lot on that, so I'm interested in your experience?

I used to. Most of the time professional gambling tips are profitable. As an example I followed Joca97 for some months and keeping a fixed bet, I made some profit in my wallet.
But as a gambler, I can't just wait for tips from professionals. I would want to bet on some popular games and events and seem to favor the team I prefer.
If you are here for just profit and you can control your emotions, professional tipster are way to go.
1460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reputation at stake will you stop gambling on: November 21, 2019, 02:53:50 AM
Ok you are gambling just for fun, your friends and neighbors knows that and a friend invited you to his party to be one of the candidates as a councilor and campaign will start in 6 months, now, of course, you need to have a good reputation, will you stop gambling just to have a good image this coming campaign and how will you defend yourself if accused as a gambler.

Firstly this is the reason I gamble online.
If I really had to defend myself, I'd argue that everyone are gambling on their lives. Some with money and some with something else. Most of the things we do are a gamble, yet we do it. All of us has dark secrets, gambling is just a simple one. And I can stop gambling if I need to and I'd state that as well.
