Who is pumping this so hard?

or it we finally have a coin that makes sense - if you think about the power required to keep bitcoin going or any PoW coin - it is a waste of electricity

and based on the "difficulty" algorithm - when PoW mining drops - the coin should still work with out issue

Same amount of money being put into it as Doge in December, if a massive dump doesn't occur, we will be seeing 50 Satoshi within a few days Smiley

Good idea but not absolutelly exact. I will correct it:

Same amount of money being put into it as Doge in December, if a massive PUMP doesn't occur, we will be seeing 5 Satoshi within a few days...

Many people put money in however they need a refund and if they dont get it quick they will start to lose patience. This coin may go higher because its distribution, however like every PoS coin it may suffer from technical issues, pure PoW is much easier to "develope", look at many PoS coins which are currently dead because they dont work fully (like colossus).

explain "they don't work fully"?

ie: PoS - doesn't pay out?

Price is bouncing between 21 - 15 sat walls.

It is amazing this level has held, I think we're going another leg up before building a new base. We may touch 32 satoshi in next 24 hours:)

Another thought.... DOGE has 400% more coins and is >200 satoshi. If MINT were to be equal market cap as DOGE, MINT would be 800 satoshi Cheesy

Just think, DOGE is still being printed hard. With MINT we already have >90% POW coins already in circulation Grin

Cfx.

P.S. I do not rule out the fact that a quick move to 60 - 100 range is also possible. It happens. Don't try to day trade this, you may end up getting off too soon. Look at the coin features, this is not a standard clone. I mined 100million and am holding the lot for at least 100 satoshi.

I agree, but reaching the fame level of DOGE is pretty much in the hands of community. DOGE had extremely big hype over its meme and gained huge attention from younger people. Mint lacks this kind of fenomenon. Need something else to be done to get attention.

For starters - mintcoin needs a better website

1453  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASIC Processors... looking to build custom mining rig. on: February 17, 2014, 11:27:59 PM
getting an ASIC produced is not rocket science, and the basic SHA256 algorithm is available - but there is some big start up costs - and you need to optimize it .. the key is how fast the foundry can turn out chips based on the current schedule

1454  Bitcoin / Group buys / GRIDSEED Group Buy on: February 13, 2014, 04:32:13 PM
I'm looking to put together a groupbuy for the gridseed - cost is
200-999 units: 160 USD/unit
1000+ units: 155 USD/unit

1 Controller is needed for up to 15 devices @ $60 USD per controller

Minimum of 200 units for groupbuy to move forward - hosting can be provided if needed/wanted at a tier 1 data center

any interest?

1455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL][MULTI] Hash.so multicoin pool with easy coin switching, 31 coins! on: February 11, 2014, 01:52:05 AM
Best pool I've ever used. Hope it will back online soon.
With that fast switching you can try to add Galaxycoin.
This is ones of most profitable "old" coin but for short period of time, only couple times per day if you switch on it in good moment.
Sounds like a good coin to add, I'll add it to the list.

Pool is back up, I needed to change my DNS host, so it might take an hour to propagate (or days, if someone is caching incorrectly). I'll try to work with my hosting provider to make sure this doesn't happen again. Most of the wait this time was due to DNS, so next time it will be faster regardless.

The actual DDoS attack was not very interesting. Basic SYN flood against penguincoin stratum port (peng.hash.so:3375), I easily blocked it, but then my provider decided to nullroute the IP, which then generated some bad time for everyone. Mining was mostly not affected by this.

glad things are back to normal!!

IT would be pretty cool if you could have the ability to auto-switch miners based on the most profitable coin... :-)
1456  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: September 23, 2013, 03:11:41 PM
I haven't read through this entire thread but just want to make sure I'm not missing anything, my chips from zefir should be at burnin's now, I have already ordered and paid - so I don't need to do anything else to get the bitburners do I?
1457  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: September 17, 2013, 04:41:22 PM
Burnin,

Have you received Batch 2 chips from Zefir?

Yesterday - late afternoon, production will resume on Monday.

Has anyone from that batch received their burners yet?

We are still waiting. It's difficult to see the posts by burnin about how busy he is working on bitfury and then to see from crypt that he is not handling batch2. So where does that leave the batch2 folks? We got an update last week from burnin that the chips were received. But we aren't getting regular updates or an ETA for completion and delivery.

IMHO we all paid for for batch2 boards, batch2 chips have been sent and received as part of the agreement, so shouldn't we be given the priority as customers?

what about batch3 boards?

were did you see that he is not handling batch2 ?
1458  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: September 17, 2013, 03:45:43 PM
with the rest of zefir's chips enroute - will burnin still be assembling the paid bitbunerXX orders?
1459  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CROWD FUNDING ASIC on: September 16, 2013, 06:28:10 PM
I'm game, I think this entire ASIC bullshit is just that - BULLSHIT

Avalon takes $8million+  and delivers nothing.. screwing over Western customers...

ASIC's are pretty much a scam unless you in on the design side
