14421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 99% OF ALL AIRDROPS ARE SCAMS!!!!! on: May 18, 2018, 05:23:56 PM
Definitely not 99% (not even now). I would say that the vast majority of them are genuine airdrops, but in many cases the coin or the token fails to get the required momentum. Outright scams would be somewhere around 20% to 30%.
14422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to known a Scam ICO on: May 18, 2018, 05:15:46 PM
Bad ico project is insufficient information about the team, poorly designed website and white paper etc.

That's not always the case, as I can give you dozens of examples on the contrary. Nowadays, the scammers are getting very innovative. They are putting a lot of effort in to the White Papers and ANN.
14423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should continue join ico? on: May 18, 2018, 05:06:12 PM
Even now, there are a number of very promising ICOs. But you need to be extremely careful about them, as a lot of scammers are trying to con the investors now. You need to analyze the ICO a hundred times before investing any money on it.
14424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This dump will scare a lot of people away from Crypto! on: May 18, 2018, 05:01:36 PM
The media were singing the praises of BTC, Cardano, Stellar, Ripple, etc and NOW LOOK.
In my opinion this will scare any newcomers and existing participants of this market space!
A lot of damage has been done!
Just about every chart analyst didn’t see this!

You don't need to look at the short term trends. During the past 1.5 years, Bitcoin has given the investors more than 700% returns. The corresponding figures for ETH and XRP are even higher. Concentrate on this stat, and not on the short term dips.
14425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin VS bitcoincash on: May 18, 2018, 05:00:09 PM
What are the main differences between bitcoin and bitcoincash?

Obviously the main difference is the block size. Bitcoin is still stuck with 1 MB max size per block, while Bitcoin Cash has the same capped at 8 MB. And they are planning to increase this to 32 MB.
14426  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the price of bitcoin rapidly going down on: May 17, 2018, 04:11:17 AM
It is not going down. If you look closely at the charts, then you can easily see that the prices have remained stable within the $8,000 to $10,000 per coin range for the past two months. And they are likely to stay there until the end of this year.
14427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL( Indian Premier League) Prediction Thread, 2018. on: May 17, 2018, 04:07:31 AM
Tomorrow is the match between RCB & SRH in Bengaluru, and I've a feeling it'll be an easy win for RCB.

I don't know whether it will be easy or not for RCB but if they can manage to win this match then for the 3rd and 4th spot lot of competition. Now on every match RCB and other teams need to win to qualify for the next round which makes every match now on very interesting.

MI was at the 7th spot and now with the good run rate they are in 4th position and due to last match win, RCB also got a good run rate. They just need to win rest of the matches so qualify.

It will be extremely hard for RCB to qualify to the play-offs, but if they do then they will make history. Because even before the tournament began, everyone were saying that they will end up at the 8th place. It is amazing... all the other teams play with 11 players and the RCB plays with just one player (Virat Kohli). And yet they manage to come this far...
14428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: May 17, 2018, 04:04:43 AM
People forget about Belgium because they aren't among the favorites to win a world cup and never will. Sure, today they have what's probably their best and most talented squad in a very long time with lots of great individual players, but that doesn't make them a clear favorite. On paper, they should reach at least the semi finals or at least third place, in reality, they probably won't make it past the quarter finals. There are no surprises in the world cup, the top teams always win the trophy.

Belgium is a good team. Their team bonding is good, but they don't have the depth and star-power which enables a team to progress beyond the semi-final stage. For sure they have some talented players, but none of them would feature in my World XI team.
14429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 17, 2018, 04:01:36 AM
The match between Mumbai Indians and Kings eleven punjab is looking very very interesting right now...60 runs needed in the last 30 balls..and punjab has only lost 1 wicket so far...anything can happen right now but i am backing punjab to win

Punjab had a very good chance to progress in to the play-offs, but they wasted the opportunity. For the past 3-4 matches, their form has been horrible. At this point, I was 90% sure that KXIP was going to win. Yet, they lost the match as a result of reckless shot selection.
14430  Other / Politics & Society / Re: POPULATION on: May 17, 2018, 03:46:42 AM
In my opinion, don't take population easily. If you're living in a over populated country, then you should personally take some planning about yourself. As population growing rapidly, you must take care that whether you also making population high or not.

Those who can afford many children must be allowed to have a large number of children. On the other hand, the slum dwellers and the welfare rates must be told that they can't have more than one child per couple. Those who disregard this directive must be made ineligible for receiving welfare payments.
14431  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Islam kill Christians? on: May 17, 2018, 03:44:50 AM
Just a few days back, I read news reports from the Nigerian state of Benue, where Muslim Fulani herdsmen were massacring the Christian villagers. Hundreds have been butchered during the past few months, and still there is hardly any coverage in the international media.
14432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If your coin increased 40% - 200% in value over night. What would you do? on: May 17, 2018, 03:22:45 AM
If one my coins increase by at least 40%, then I would immediately dump a small part of my holdings (10% to 40%, depending on the future potential of the coin), and keep the remaining for medium-term holding. From my past experience, I have seen that 80% of the spikes are a result of pump-and-dump. If you don't sell at the right time, then you may end up with a loss.
14433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MEW for Altcoins ? on: May 17, 2018, 03:20:40 AM
I have been using MEW for storing my ERC20 tokens for more than one year now, and till now I haven't faced any issues. Compared to the other options, MEW is much more effective and cheap. You may need to rethink if the net-worth of your tokens is more than $50,000 or $100,000.
14434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 will be the year of Altcoins exploding. on: May 17, 2018, 02:12:42 AM
IMO, the reverse is going to happen. A crypto-consolidation is going to take place and the market capitalization will be concentrated in to a few dozen cryptos. The other coins are going to die out. This is either going to happen in the second half of 2018, or during the first half of 2019.
14435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1 ETH - should buy alt or hold on to it on: May 17, 2018, 02:11:00 AM
If you chose the right altcoin/token, then it can give you much higher returns when compared to Ethereum. But the reverse is also true. If you chose the wrong coin, then your entire capital can vanish in a matter of few days.
14436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it better to buy during ICO or Market? on: May 17, 2018, 02:09:06 AM
Nowadays almost all of the ICOs are over-priced and at the time of listing the tokens fall by as much as 90% to 95%. So it is always better to purchase the tokens after their listing in the exchanges.
14437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better Ripple or Tron? on: May 17, 2018, 02:07:44 AM
I'd chose Tron over Ripple due to two reasons. First of all, XRP has tarnished its reputation due to its association with the banks. And secondly, as we can see from the exchange stats, Tron has managed to gain a huge amount of interest in the crypto-world and it is having a small but dedicated group of loyalists.
14438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethreum the new king of crypto? on: May 17, 2018, 02:05:44 AM
To become the king of crypto, Ethereum needs to replace Bitcoin. And that is not going to happen anytime soon. My advice would be to cement its no.2 position, as it is under fierce attack from some of the newer coins such as Cardano, IOTA, IOS, and NEM.
14439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Coins are a great LONG-TERM investment ???? on: May 17, 2018, 02:04:04 AM
Obviously the most suitable coin for long-term investment is Bitcoin. No other alt comes even close. But you can chose from a select group of coins, including Ethereum, Monero, NEM, BCH, Cardano and NEO.
14440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HONEST bounty hunters should be treated with respect on: May 16, 2018, 05:44:22 AM
I have seen situations where bounty hunters are side-tracked after providing their services towards the success of ICO projects. It is either they are paid less as against initial agreement, or they are not paid at all. I would have mentioned the names of some of those projects, which succeeded, are already listed and yet did not pay bounty hunters. Some things really need to change. We are to be treated with respect, most especially the honest bounty hunters.

Anyone can post a bounty thread here and they don't need to keep the bounty in escrow. Hardly any legal protection is available for the bounty hunters. So even in cases where they are not paid, the bounty hunters normally ignore that campaign and carry on with other tasks.
