I came across this thread on /r/bitcoin... http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/33tvoa/dear_new_york_regulation_stifles_innovation_two/This post made me think, what if start ups just go somewhere else? Rumor has it two brothers created an entire industry in their bicycle shop. All the experts said it is not possible and were thought of as a bunch of liars. "After their Kitty Hawk success, The Wrights flew their machine in open fields next to a busy rail line in Dayton Ohio for almost an entire year. American authorities refused to come to the demos, and Scientific American Magazine published stories about "The Lying Brothers." Even the local Dayton newspapers never sent a reporter (but they did complain about all the letters they were receiving from local "crazies" who reported the many flights.) Finally the Wrights packed up and moved to Europe, where they caused an overnight sensation and sold aircraft contracts to France, Germany, Britain, etc. "

I love altcoins. I love the whole scene, the whole ecosystem. It's like an international commodity exchange. Before all this, I never imagined I could trade outside of stocks, and it's unregulated, where everyone can join in, no questions asked. It's really liberating. It's beautiful.
Of course some "commodities" are junk. But all in all, love it.

Maybe ¥200(or lower) will become a new normal soon.
I am beginnng to think this. Sub $100 might be where we're going and stay there for a while. its mean u want bitcoin under $100 in this week or month? No. Its mean that it will happen regardless of what you want to happen.

On top of my head there's Ripple, Maidsafe, Stellar, and I think Bitshares(?). I think the well funded ones will have a slightly better chance of success.
Any other projects?

so what advantages does counter party have then..
It's built on the bitcoin blockchain. Both a blessing and a curse.

Those aren't even dead cat bounces. Those are more breakout-attempts out of a falling-wedge or falling-triangle, actually! It is only natural for the price to try to break out of the resistance, and by doing this it may very well fail, until it doesn't at some point.
What about now?

I have extra 8+ bitcoins that is just sitting around, do you think it's a good idea to but some altcoins than wait for bitcoin to increase value?
What are the best altcoins to invest in?
If BTC keeps trending down, hold NBT or BitUSD, or maybe TetherUSD. Then convert back to BTC when it starts trending up again.

IMO these are the only 3 lines you need to draw. The convergence of the uptrend and the top of the downtrend channel will happen around April 26th or so. If we are above $230 at the end of the month, uptrend is confirmed. If we are below $230, say hello to the bottom of the channel soon (high double digits). Thoughts? Are we there yet?

Once this goes up and stops get hit on the way up, this is gonna be WHOOOSH! To the moon!

Now I see the picture... I agree, that doesn't look like a dead-cat-bounce. Yup, falling something with the price trying to breakout off it while failing to do so. Right now we're knocking at the support line, let's see if it holds :/
You are correct. It will hold. Buying now and holding for the longterm is the only play here.

Wait for the price to go either below $180 or above $320 now. Either way those limits should be relatively safe indicators of the way the price is continuing to go, respectively. Buy now if you want to hold a moderate position or just continue holding if you're in it for the long run, which I guess most people claim to be.
If price goes to 180 or below. Buy more.

I guess the best way to go is still: Buy as many coins as you can afford to lose without going inane, put them in cold storage and then hold the hell our of them. Just forget about them and move on with your life. If this really matures, you end up with quite a nice retirement fund, if not... well move on with your life as initially planned Buy and hold. This is the best advice that ever was.

Just vote on the poll and maybe add a comment why.
I voted for yes i am bullish because we have to remember the amount of investments that has gone into this recently it has not reflected in the price at all as far as i am aware because of the manipulation, but i am pretty sure before long we will see it break out. User adoption rising and i am just an all around positive person, so that reflects my vote.. All VC investments won't do anything for price within the next two or three years. All they do is help building an infrastructure that may be very useful in a few years. Don't get me wrong, this is very very important and a very positive thing but it won't affect the price at all for the time being. The price will be definitely making a move and likely a major move during your time frame and I would proffer that the upgrades in infrastructure will be contributing underlying sentiments that help fuel the good times. We are way undervalued for current times, it's just that big dogs are buying time for their associates to build their stash and let the upcoming institutional tools to kick off the next run. At least that's what I think, to each their own. Yeah, that's a valid hypothesis. I think it can't be really proven, but it may hold true. In my books, even if the VC fundings don't do anything to fuel the price directly, they certainly won't hurt Bitcoin's future development. We need innovation, we need new products and services, we basically need an incentive for people to go and use BTC. And with the underlying technology and services improving, this gets more and more likely. Close the loop. You want people to spend in BTC? They should be earning in BTC.

Let's see how this night plays out. Huobi doesn't really want to follow the dumps on Finex, that's for sure. I think all the dumps today could have brought us to even lower levels if they happened on a different day. The market didn't really seem to care for the dumps. Bullish? I don't know... It's so hard to be bullish these days.
You are correct that's bullish.
