Nobody gives a shit about your short term money laundering scheme, sell for what you want, don't impose. simple as that.
In the mean time, where is the competitors to Grin.. I see daily flops of mostly Europeans making utterly stupid public statements about their coin being used to buy daily objects, including icecream.. I mean, What The Fuck people.. no coherent absolute sane business person will invest to your stupid idea of god-damned ice-cream for your kid everyday if there is no DECENT incentive for them.. if you do not understand the absolute basics of business I would suggest, as a non-negative inclination to the braniacs out there, DONT SUGGEST OR TALK ABOUT THINGS YOU HAVE NO EXPERIENCE WITH OR HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT. No offense but at least, simple as that. Yes, simple the fuck as that. Idiots...

I quoted this as it is interesting to say the least.

I also deleted it.

And as if on cue in an effort to get out ahead  of my poll's question China is saying:

Quote
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-china-united-state-idUSKBN2120UH

China state media accuses U.S. politicians of spreading 'political virus'
3 MIN READ
BEIJING (Reuters) - Some United States politicians are using coronavirus as a weapon to smear China, the Xinhua official news agency said on Sunday, as a war of words escalated between the two countries over China’s handling of the epidemic.

...

Hmm   could India be the winner lots of cheap available labor for manufacturers .

please note my poll was based on Trump calling this a foreign virus.

It is obvious China fears Trump(and others) will want $$$ for damages or they would not be tossing counter rhetoric.

I am on the same page as you  as the models suck for price going bullish.  Have to  wait and see  what develops.

OP updated, my bad, i forgot to add that in

Good I read the anti snipe rule and thought it should be 13 separate cases.  I  wanted to be sure of that.

Just about 2 hour and 4 minutes to go
14588  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will all the world hold China responsible for corona-v on: March 15, 2020, 09:48:06 PM
Some will, but they would be wrong.
Yes it happened to start there, but so what. It's a global economy and things are going to spread stupid fast across the world now.
The issue and what they should take some of the hit for is the delay in dealing with it. (but we in the US can't really throw stones at that one)

Did we blame the British for Creutzfeldt-Jakob (mad cow)?

-Dave
No but it  is an avoidable problem if you don't eat beef.  While this disease if harder to avoid.

Many have claimed the bio tech lab working in wuhan sold lab rats etc to the wet markets thus the problem would be China's fault if it was proven to be that.

I suppose you could blame farmers butchering sick cattle and feeding them to the public if  proven.

I just thought it was interesting that Trump called corona-v a foreign virus.  I kind of think he will attempt to blame China for the issue. Use it to not pay USA loans from China until China gives a discount to make up for hurting the USA with the spread-creation of corona-v.

But I am way below Trump's pay grade or anyone else for that matter so you could be correct.
14589  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: March 15, 2020, 09:39:28 PM
... we have a few hours for the weekly close and so far it seems like we closing below the critical 200MA on the weekly chart which is a very bad sign that suggests a lower-low than 3.2k, my guess is 2.6k...

Price formulas for any market are not much good here. Not saying they are wrong or correct but they were developed over time and I don't believe world wide pandemics have ever been fully analyzed or factored in.

Last real pandemic was spanish flu in 1918-1919

Many economic models where not created at this time.  I am not sure what was.

Value of an in-house reverse osmosis filter =  bigger due to pandemic
Value of an in-house air filter = bigger due to pandemic.
Value of a home = bigger as you can store a lot of food in it.

Value of all cash. less  why?  food  + water cost more.
value of all crypto coins less why? need cash for food and water.
Value of a ventilator system = really high if you got corona-v.

Possible bad shit to come .

China and Korea relax quarantines corona-v  crest with a second higher wave.   This most likely is what is scaring big money guys.

If China and Korea relax the curfews and a second wave starts back it means all the world needs to do a long curfew.

What happens if the world needs to be on lock down for 90 days.  This will bury most markets of all kinds all over the world.

It will be a shit has hit the fan mess that no one has ever really seen before.
14590  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 12 HOURS LEFT Corrosive Creations CRYPTODECK (CLUBS) on: March 15, 2020, 06:02:29 PM
About six hours to go.

Question on auction rules.

lets say

someone bids at 1 minute left on the Ace

are all cards extended  the 15 minutes due to anti snipe or just the Ace?

14592  Other / Politics & Society / Will all the world hold China responsible for corona-v on: March 15, 2020, 03:38:51 PM
Was thinking China had and or has dirty wet markets.
Filled with sick animals being sold for food.
Corona-v has been traced to a wet market in WuHan.
This virus will cost deaths illness and ton and tons of money world wide.

Many countries have loans from China.
So do they simply tell China no loan payments until you take responsibility for spread of corona-v.

USA president  Donald Trump has called corona-v a foreign virus.
Is this the beginning of a strategy for USA to not pay its debt to China?
Do other countries follow this move.

Will the world go after China or not?
14593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is it safe to use regular, not server psu with asics? on: March 15, 2020, 03:20:56 PM
Hi,

found two PSU's not being used in the garage (evga 1000 and 850 , gold 80+ model both).

if I want to power a 750W ASIC miner should I use one PSU for 2 hash boards and the other one (smaller) for the last hash board and the mainboard?

also, since they are modular, can any leads be used to power the gear? ie. the GPU/CPU/peripherals?

thanks

The 1000w will do the job fine. You'll probably find that the pcie cables are the ones that fit - 6-pin most likely. Just need to jump the motherboard plug or use the EVGA tester that comes with most psus.

I would go with the 1000 watt psu. It should do the job.
14594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I though Bitcoin was created for this moment? on: March 15, 2020, 02:25:00 PM
On March 12th, Bitcoin witnessed one of the biggest daily drops in its 10years history. While Bitcoin was clearly not the only financial that experienced such drop, it still came as a shock to me that Bitcoin will perform so badly in a liquidity event.`

As stocks, crude oil, mutual funds and other financial assets drop, Governments around the world will tend to print more fiat to support and stimulate their falling market, therefore, moving assets to Bitcoin which have a fixed supply with block halving just 60days away seemed like the rational thing to do. BUT THAT DIDNT HAPPEN.

Well, I remain bullish on bitcoin, because $5500 and a market Cap of about $100B doesn't represent the true value of the asset.

No it was created for wars not pandemics

Basically no store of wealth works for a pandemic .

You could argue my statement with real estate 🏡 as the only possible thing that works for pandemics.
The place would need to be on an Island 🌴.
Only one home/compound.
Fully self sufficient.
Solar
Multiple large propane tanks.
One year of food.
weapons tools ⚒️ etc.
air filtration.
water filtration
water stored.
bomb 💣 safe room.

I would image this is the only store of wealth that should gain value due to a pandemic.

This type of wealth
Weird I never thought of it as "made for wars" or made for anything of the sort, I thought it was made for freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Seriously though, it was so the governments wouldn't be in control, your financial security wouldn't be hinged on what a few elected officials had decided and especially if they had failed. It was for being able to transact without being held hostage by a third party and their rules, it was to be able to continue on without worry. Bitcoin is young, it's a decade old but that is nothing in the age of currencies, we are still growing and multiplying users, eventually these things will all come to fruition.

Sorry it was made as protection from wars. It allows you to flee and still have wealth. In  the country you run to.  It is the only wealth storage that is fully mobile.

This is why it has value as wealth storage.
Has other value due to it being able to create wealth from power grid via mining.

It is pretty much worth less for pandemics.

I have mentioned in multiple posts since 2012 that it allows you to flee from danger .

I should have clarified this better.

This type of wealth  belongs to very few people.
I just described a multi million dollar 💵 property.

On a smaller normal level. Homes 🏡 may become more valuable.

Set up a home to store food for a month.
Set up a home with quality air filters.
Set up a home with quality water filters.

Your home 🏡 becomes very valuable if you can self isolate with ease during a pandemic.

I could stay in my home for the next month right now if I chose to do so.

I have food.
I have air filters
I have water filters.
I have fuel for my propane generator.

Almost all of the above was in place before the pandemic .

I was a bit lite on food 🥘. But the other stuff I had.

If you are poor you get fucked.
If you have an apartment you get fucked.

Hoping this clears up by April 30.

I set the clifton mine up with the crash possibility in mind.

I did a blend of efficient miners s17pros and power hungry miners. s9s

the 14 s17pros do 770th
the 31 s9s do.       320th.

we have a mix of

whatsminer
m10
m20
m21
about 200th at 60watts

inno

t2t24
t3t39
t3t50
about 100th at 60watts

avalon
a1041
a1066

about 160th at 60watts

we can turn off all the s9s and mine on.
this was the plan on the 1/2 ing

I actually hope we get -10% diff and then -5% diff

14598  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Bottled water claims. on: March 15, 2020, 02:58:54 AM
Of course it's possible, all they mean is that the water was in the aquifer for 5000 years, which there's no reason why it wouldn't be there for that long. However, even water in aquifers can get polluted. Also there's no reason water wouldn't travel miles in aquifers. Also water is often forced out of aquifers under pressure for centuries.

Water in aquifers, depending on the aquifer also has more of certain kinds of minerals, that being said, I doubt that makes water superior to the purified stuff.

The water that tastes best to me is purified water. Most brands will do. Cheapest is best. Mine comes out to about 7.5 cents per 500ml bottle from either Costco or Sam's.

The best tasting water I've ever had was in a spring up in Greece. Something about the minerals in it. Spring water in Greece tastes awesome, but I'm not talking about the bottled stuff.

The bottled spring water in Florida it just tastes awful to me. Also the tap water. The tap water in Florida has high levels of Chloramines, which tastes worse then water chlorinated the normal way done in Greece. It also kinda smells bad. It also has a little bit of lead in it, but not too much, yet lead fucks you over in any amount, just to a lesser extent I think.

yep just h2o and nothing else is water.

No product from the ground is just water.  it is water and chemicals. minerals etc.

the problem with all water not sold as purified is you have no idea what is in it since it is either added minerals or natural minerals.

if you buy purified water there are simple tests.

see if it supports electrolysis pure water does not short out electricity.

see if it leaves residues if boiled away in a pot on the stove.

pure water will leave zip nada nothing.

some purified water will leave a very small amount of black carbon since it may or may not have passed through a carbon filter to improve taste.

i am all for drinking various things but if i am drinking water i drink reverse osmosis then distilled in my still.

this water has zip nada nothing in it  and you can drop a 120 volt extension cord into it with no shorting.

i found this out by accident.

almost no bottled water other then purified nothing added water does this.

I would think food delivery would grow.

order pay on line.

guy brings it to your door.

you get a text.

he is gone.

you would need to package food in a way purchasers is safe from corona-v.

buyer puts on rubber gloves

brings package into home nukes it in microwave.

no corona-v

all restaurants are going to need this service just in case. corona-v+  comes along.

Different mem would be apparent from the start and wouldn't explain the drop
over time.

It's a new card, I would have returned it by now.

one could handle the clock.

the other does not. while you may say it means one is defective. it could mean one is great and the other is average.

I do agree if it is new he should return it as it is the same make and model. it should match the stats of the other.

if he gets a replacement he can then tell if the cards preform equally.
