Wow no, i dont think it can get that price in only two years, that is impossible.
Bitcoin has been quadruplicated in less than a year, so it has to be more than 1000x to get to that price.
There is not even enought volume to make it happen, so no, it can not.
Nope, it is only 125 times the current price of 4000, anyway getting to that price is impossible, that is not even a prediction that is a wild dream that is not going to happen. |

Two years have passed and bitcoin is nowhere close to that, we will wait the next 13 years to see if this do in fact happens but I have my doubts that we are going to come to that point that soon. |

I've been analyzing all this happening with bitcoin and I'm coming to the following conclusion:
Before the most important asset was the gold in which everyone wanted and possessed, the governments were displacing gold with money a centralized asset which lost its value day by day.
Bitcoin is an asset that goes up in price for all the features that Satoshi thought and gave to it.
Today there are hundreds of altcoins and for sure there are some that are much better than bitcoin, and that these will be more used than bitcoin in the future, but bitcoin will be the king of all the new digital gold. People will use other altcoins as well, but the savings and investments will be in bitcoin, and this is for the simple reason that it was the first altcoin, and that people believed in it from its beginnings.
The bitcoin is here to stay and has created a revolution in the monetary system around the world. And we can be proud to be living the moment when this is happening.
Bitcoin is heading to $4,000 usd per coin and I am sure that the price of bitcoin in 3 years will be exponentially higher than is today.

You do not understand, you see a few weeks and then come to a conclusion without understanding why people hold, people hold for the long term, no one that can call itself a holder can do it by holding a few weeks in my mind the minimum amount of time to call yourself a holder is one year. |

The problem with coinbase is that is an exchange and exchanges can freeze your account for whatever reasons ans since that is the reason many are using bitcoin, to escape the tyranny of a central figure then I do not think coinbase or any exchange is the wallet to leave your money for long periods of time. |

You can definitely buy part of a bitcoin and not a whole coin. There is no benefit to buying a whole coin.
It is difficult to say if now is a good time to invest or not. We'll have to see what happens with Segwit, but long term it is probably still a good investment.
At the moment it is too expensive to buy bitcoin, the price has gone up very rapidly in this last week so I think it could be a good idea to wait since I think there are good chances the price goes down a little bit in the next days or weeks. Totally agree. So I have 2 cousins. One of them doesn't save and is a huge spender while the other is a saver and spends only once a year. So would bitcoin be a good way to teach them about saving? Since, mining bitcoin is the only way to make alot of bitcoin, I would use a alt wallet to show them what happens if you spend and don't save. What do you think?
When it comes to teaching kids it is better to keep things simple so if you need to try to explain them about decentralization, the blockchain, inflation, market cap, and things with that they are going to get confused, it is better to use some bills and teach them about saving that way. i think there is nothing wrong to teach to kids about bitcoin only for the sake of learning bitcoin currency we can use bitcoin online trading and investment and therefore i do not think that there is any reason to teach to kids about bitcoin too much. i think they should concentrate toward their study only. This is not about being wrong, this is about simplicity, many adults have problems understanding bitcoin and even some members of this forum do not have a full understanding about bitcoin so it is better to keep things simple if you are going to teach kids about bitcoin. |

Well, I can not believe that the Bitcoin prices has crossed over gold sooner than I expect. I thought the process would be finished in April. Wow, Bitcoin is truly worth and everyone who has sold their Bitcoin has made a huge mistake. Nothing can stop Bitcoin right now.
If you were to look at the market cap of both you will realize that gold has not been defeated in fact bitcoin is not even close to defeat gold, bitcoin will probably need a lot of time to even get a good portion of the market cap of gold. |

There is a nearly 100% chance that BTC will trade at lower prices sometime in the near future. If you add up the huge swings in both directions (i.e $500 only yesterday), then you can easily learn how to short-term trade part of your holdings for large profits. Be calm and make small trades for fast profits that add up..
Note for "real investors": Buying at least some BTC every time you get a paycheck, and "never" selling, is a valid idea as long as you have the guts to keep buying when prices are down 80% and the masses are panic selling every day.
Blind faith in HODL is a mindless sign of heard instinct, and the masses lose long-term in every form of market trading.
There are merits to trading but this post is completely mistaken especially the final part in blue, the instinct of the hear is to not hold, to buy whatever is popular and sell it when its losing price, buying when the price is very low is the right strategy, if the price crashed 80% of its value I will buy all the bitcoin I can. |
