1461  Economy / Economics / Re: Loan scam in India allegedly headed by a Chinese Narional on: January 03, 2021, 09:44:08 PM
When a stand-up comedian in the past said that Chinese love their money, I did not think it is by this much. These people would really organize a large scale scamming organization like this amidst the heavy hitting of the pandemic outside of their own country where people will easily persecute and generalize them. It's like these people are made to withstand criticisms from other people long as they profit from it. Quite sickening if you ask me.
Easy loans always have hidden agenda butbthe financial status of the people get them trapped in such traps and en up paying huge or even giving up their life. Heard that those loan apps taken sensitive data like private photos, contacts and call history of someone who took loan which was later used to blackmail the defaulters. I think this should be taken care if government since it looks like exceeding the limits given by government.
That's why Loan Sharks are a booming business in third-world countries. These people know how important money is to a poor joe and would do what it takes to make sure the person they are interested in would take a loan from them.
1462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you ever bet on SRL events? on: January 03, 2021, 09:09:29 PM
Fantasy Games and betting sites pretty much dominated the virtual gambling scene for some time, only being overthrown because of rigged ratios and unfair disadvantages on the player's end. League of Legends had its AlphaDraft where you can play with or against virtual representations of League of Legends Pro Players, this pretty much occupied my betting budget way back in 2014-2016. I also think bitcoin's rise in popularity made these gambling sites obsolete and outclassed, That's why they don't shine that much as they did in the past.
What could be said about a game that's programmed to game esteem gamblers in the platform, though this is the very first time i have see a game like this. Personally what i do consider before making move to game in any gambling platform is the fairness of the game before my conviction to join, but this game isn't such and won't whatsoever join the game soon till a conviction.
This can be said to SRL sites in the past, they thought putting the costumers in a false sense of control will stop their cover from being blown, too bad they didn't checked the fact that people get more and more intelligent.
1463  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are people buying BTC @ $27000+ idiots? on: January 02, 2021, 10:17:28 PM
Just because they bought way after we did doesn't make us any wiser than they are. In all honesty the March Market isn't as promising as people made it out to be in the following months, $4k is a really far price from bitcoin's regular stable value and it wouldn't really surpise me if a lot of people dumped at that period. It's even more appropriate to say that we just got lucky at the time, that's why we're reaping the efforts, but were it to be the other way around, we're not the ones who will be laughing right now.
1464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting History - 2020 on: January 02, 2021, 08:58:04 PM
Surely the years of you gambling have honed your behavior and most likely your skills altogether. A lot of people might say that what you stated is something they already know or whatnot but only a few people are actually able to do so. Especially when it comes to the issue of control, where moet people lack at.

One of my regrets as well after losing some amount. Losing just $100 in dice is already unforgivable to me, I'd already be thinking that if I just hold it I'm already profiting because of the BTC rally. Such a small amount but its a pain. Promising not to play on dice is hard to do when you are promoting it yourself.

I'd suggest to get a breather everytime you lose, regardless of how big or small the lost is. Losing even a single dollar might take a toll on some gambler's decision making and would altogether push them to do things they otherwise wouldn't do if they have a sound mind, so take a breather, watch some TV, play relaxing games, then comeback once the lost doesn't get to your nerves that much anymore.
1465  Economy / Economics / Re: We, bitcoiners, should buy a bank on: January 01, 2021, 10:23:12 PM
Setting up a bank for bitcoin generally defeats the whole purpose of the existence of bitcoins and cryptocurrencies in general. For one, the security that bitcoins offered are more than enough to ensure everyone's safety. It would also be a big problem if a huge heist ensues. Since the coins in a bank are easier to carry, this wil cause high fiancial damage to the people who will store their money on public cryoto banks.
I think we don't need a bank to become our crypto exchanger or crypto banks without third party. We can keep our crypto safe by ourselves. Banks are always under regulations and banks that do not comply with the rules and regulations, the government will surely revoke the banking license. It will be useless. Also there's a lot of crypto exchange which is designed only for crypto enthusiast without rules and regulations of the government which is better than banks.

Yup! As of the moment the function is already being fulfilled by Exchanges and wallet apps, so I don't see the need to spend thousands and thousands of dollars to a system that would soon be obsolete anyway. Arw we just trying to rough the ground up?
1466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TOP 5 James Bond gambling scenes on: January 01, 2021, 09:21:54 PM
Despite being a Gen Z myself, I came to love James Bond films when my grandfather pulled out his tapes and showed it to us. I even remembered how my jaw dropped on how cool his Walter PTK was. Now back to the topic. Casino Royale would definitely take the cake, the actor's natural zazz and manliness (forgot who he was, I was literally 10 when I saw this film) overflowed to the scene's atmosphere, and it's the one I remembered even up to this day, further solidifying the fact that this was remarkable.
1467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Steven Wright - Satoshi, MtGox Hacker or just a fraud ? on: December 31, 2020, 05:17:04 AM
What is he trying to prove or aiming to achieve by claiming he's Satoahi Nakamoto Anyway? Like is that gonna give him power over our bitcoins? If the answer is no then he's just wasting money, time and manpower to prove himself right, and the worst thing about this is that he's not gonna be proven right because there is no way the real Satoshi would reveal himself. The real one/ones are probably sipping fiji water wallowing on their $1.1B wealth by now, while this guy is wasting money trying to prove the improvable
1468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done to you? on: December 30, 2020, 11:13:37 PM
So far it has brought me option. Way back then I couldn't imagine leaving my regular job as it has been my go-to source of income and without it, I'd be sleeping in park benches by now. But with the help of bitcoin, I was given the opportunity to earn ample money to afford leaving a stressful and unforgiving environment in trade of something thst is more fulfillinv r
1469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NFL have their first player played in bitcoin on: December 30, 2020, 10:24:36 PM
A first in the series of personalities choosing to do what is right for them. Although I wish more peopld will have the chance and liberty to choose how they are paid. Most of us are stuck being payed in our checking/savings accounts with no hope of growth since banks give you almost nothing in return. Hopefully this can be implemented to more jobs and not just to very famous people.
1470  Economy / Economics / Re: Value Today of $1000 Invested 5 Years ago (Bitcoin and Stock) on: December 30, 2020, 09:44:47 PM
Really interesting growth. Some people may get the wrong idea about this post and think it is some more reason for them regretting not buying these assets but to them I say this saying, "The best time to invest was 10 years ago. The other is now." so even at this high of a growth we can still expect more to come in the future. Be inspired to turn your life around away from the 9-5 shift that barely gets you anywhere.
Great post with an Interesting correlation and I can say gladly that bitcoin is as yet on the top. I wish some bitcoins haters like the government and bank can check this Interesting correlation and take their conversation back against the bitcoins. They ought to acknowledge that bitcoin is the future and can assist us with improving our future. There was a time when nobody like bitcoin and consistently chuckles at whatever point somebody talks about it. However, presently bitcoins snicker on us, and the majority of us lament for not contributing to it.
A lot of entities are already seeing the power of bitcoin and have FOMOed since last March, ever boosting the price of bitcoin to the heights it reached as of today. Governments have been doing their best and hardest to impose regulations on cryptocurrencies to control them and profit from them but to no avail.
1471  Economy / Economics / Re: The supply issue on: December 30, 2020, 09:21:37 PM
The supply would still matter because Satoshis are basically just utility tokens for bitcoin. So those have no value on their own and is piggybacking off of bitcoin's price. Regardless if you can subdivide your Satoshis into mini-Satoshis or not, the one who still holds the value is bitcoin, and in doing so would retain the integrity of the 21 million supply because soon as that runs out, future Satoshi Holders would have nothing in them but sad lumpy utility coins.
What matters in my opinion is the scarcity and deflationary feature. If you can keep Bitcoin immune to inflation (In whatever way that is sustainable, safe and decentralized) then the 21million cap wouldn't really matter much.

So far it does not seem to be affected by inflation the way fiat is, perhaps mainly because it does not really have a commodity that it's basing its value on, so it's not affected by inflation or whatsoever.
1472  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: FreeBitcoin Bot - What do you think about this tool?? on: December 30, 2020, 08:54:40 PM
In all my gambling activities I have never used a bot it takes away the excitement of you betting to have fun and you rely everything on luck, bot is good in claiming in faucets I have read that many are doing this but I'm not in faucets and it's hard to use a bot in a gambling site you put your account on risk when caught, a bot could be used to automate task but never in gambling.
This is a very serious and relevant question when it comes to automation of even gambling itself. Many people are in favor of it as it gives the players themselves more chances to win, therefore more money to bag. For all I know this might be the reason why they made the bot in the first place, more money for the gamblers means more money they eill bet on the system. But the question for you is, are you gambling for entertainment or to earn money?
1473  Economy / Economics / Re: How will financial crisis affect crypto? on: December 30, 2020, 01:27:38 AM
The financial crisis brought about by the pandemic birthed two types of persons. One that became broke and found a way to make money, and one that became broke and stayed broke for the rest of the pandemic. Cryptocurremcy paid a pivotal role in the success of the first person as it is but one of the few things left untouched by the pandemic, therefore becoming a viable way to earn money for these people.
This is what I like about crypto, sometimes financial crises that occur make crypto prices go up even more. Maybe because many people
think investing in crypto can be a store of value. So the rich and many big companies decide to invest in crypto, compared to saving his
wealth in a bank that risks falling value due to inflation. We know that in the current economic crisis, the pandemic has yet to end,
making many countries make policies for printing money, of course this will have a bad impact on fiat. So crypto is a solution in financial
crisis situations like now. Especially with the increase in the price of Bitcoin, can get profit if trading Bitcoin now.
What can we say, the demand for it grew up which caused its price to increase, not to mention these private companies who pumped the coin in the past few months. The coin will definitely skyrocket in price.
1474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigerian crypto educator returns $80k in bitcoin recieve by mistake. on: December 29, 2020, 09:42:49 PM
It was known that Nigerians are enthusiastic in bettering their lives, they saw cryotocurrency as an opportunity, and had done measures to get a hold of these. Sometimes their creativity and knowledge goes to the wrong hands. Nevertheless I appreciate this guy's honesty. 80k is very hard to come by these days let alone in bitcoins which would have been really expensive by now. So kudoeto this guy for standing up against all adversity in order to do the right thing.
Great that everything worked out so well, but it also shows dangerous Bitcoin can be - one mistake is enough to lose thousands of dollars. I think people should use wallet's feature to label addresses instead of relying only on manual check of addresses. Maybe in the future wallets will have some features for decentralized identity management and we won't even have to deal with addresses anymore.

Pretty sure that 80k is a punch in the gut for someone, but I'm thinking that if he was able to send 80k and manhandle the trnasaction fees, then maybe he can just afford to get the money back anyway, probably the reason why he never bothered to contact the person anymore since he can just regain this losses without his identity being known.
1475  Economy / Economics / Re: China to overtake the Us as the largest global economy by 2028? on: December 29, 2020, 08:37:59 PM
Even now, we're seeing the evidences of this happening in the not-so-distant future. It makes me want to believe the COVID-19 virus was just made to whittle down the world's economy and bring China to the top. All speculations aside, the numbers are there to say for themselves that China is becoming stronger and stronger by the day. And it will only be time until US gets lopped off the top.
I have already seen that news before. Covid 19 spread through china but now it looks like they have taken less crisis from this virus when the USA is still getting a hard time fighting it. This sounds like fun but now I also think that Covid is created by a chain to destroy the USA and their large economy so that they can be number one.
Poor governance really. China took the virus seriously and had placed certain parameters to ensure that their country is safe. Whereas the then president of the United States asked all of you guys to inject Lysol onto your bloodstream as it is a known disinfectant. So I wouldn't really be surprised, that even though the virus came directly from China, the disease will find its way into the US.
1476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll) on: December 29, 2020, 08:06:18 PM
For me the easiest thing to pull out of the big prizes was the free spins. They generally are just there and all although I know statistics would say otherwise. I haven't been able to get big wins even in my 3 years of trying slots, perhaps due to house advantage or something else. Although I only play it anyway to unwind and relax myself.
1477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FOMO has started for Bitcoin on: December 28, 2020, 11:59:43 PM
Some people who are FOMOed right now are in no fault of their own. Some people just did not have the mondy at the time to buy themselves a share. Instead, let us encourafe them to buy when ths time is right. That will help a lot of us gain friends and allies hers at the crypto industry.
Being a nocoiner right now must be a bad feeling. That's why I avoid talking about the BTC price to friends and family, as I know most are nocoiners (even the ones I have gifted some BTC, that they have sold since then !). I would certainly not advise someone to buy in right now, except in small, regular amounts.
Some people just happen to not havs ths chance t buy it months ago. Don't sweat it. Our chance will come around and it will be explosive. With the help from some of the people here at this forum, of course. This goes out to all of the people who are regretful for not buying or not being able to buy bitcoins months ago.
1478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are your Bitcoins safe? on: December 28, 2020, 11:26:12 PM
People most of the time downplay their security thinking these wouldn't happen to them at all. However, statistics show otherwise. And so far the maths have never been wrong. So might as well heed when we say you have to double up on your security, back up if you can. Because this is your hard-earned investment, and once you lose this, it's gone for real.
1479  Economy / Economics / Re: Out of Reach on: December 28, 2020, 10:53:45 PM
That's why a lot of people who were able to get their hands on bitcoin years ago are really regretting the fact that they let the opportunity slip their hsnds. Some even go so far as to commit suicide because of this. Some things are really boud to happen and for me, if you weren't able to get it in the first place, it might not e really for you at all.
1480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to adjust and work with the bet365 live streaming on: December 28, 2020, 10:37:53 PM
Thanks for the helpful advice. Haven't gone that site yet so I am kind of puzzled as to why they would downplay their most profitable venture. Are they trying to switch the customer's attention to a different product in their site? Because it's not working. From the way you guys are so happy about this (and it's not a bad thing, mind you) still goes to show that it is the most sought after product in their site.
That's awesome, thank you for this guide. I am a huge fan of sports and don't even bet so much lately. So even without betting having a chance to watch sport events live is great. You could probably save money when cancelling the sky sports subscription and just switch to a free provider. Is there a minimum you need to bet per month to have access to the stream?
Oh. I see, so basically people are viewing them in the site which is a bit costly on the owner's side since it's basically live stream without ROI. I would also be happy myself if I would be in your position knowing that there is this way I can bypass the system to watch a live game, being a sports fan myself.
