1461  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 07, 2017, 07:42:31 AM
I didnt say there has to be a movement. Just a wall. Im tired of people thinking walls are a thing of the past and that nobody owns 5k coins anymore. Im going to see a wall on there. I dont care if Donald Trump has to place the order.

What thread are we in anyway?
1462  Economy / Speculation / Re: Lightning Network was tested on mainnet today! on: December 07, 2017, 07:19:32 AM
As long as bitcoin is only looked at as a commodity and nobody is willing to spend their Bitcoin, also lightning network wont change much (besides of hype and therefore price increase). People need to remember what Bitcoins intention was when it was born. We should stop looking at Bitcoin as a commodity and start using it as a currency, then lightning network will be able to enfold its power and bring real benefits. Just my two cents, but I think this is important.
Thats the whole idea. Its not possible to use bitcoin as a currency without the lightning network. its too slow and the fees are way way too high.

ive been on zillow for the past 2 weeks ever since I discovered toxic mold in my apartment, but cant find anything i want. I sold so many coins just to lock in the ability to leave my job AND break my lease and find a new place.
1464  Economy / Speculation / Re: BETI: Bitcoin Exponential Trend Index and technical analysis on: December 07, 2017, 06:28:26 AM
[ 11,000 was passed so therefore it must hit 49,000 and in 2 years it will be 1 million ] ... can you pass whatever youre smoking
1465  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC surpasses 13k! on: December 07, 2017, 06:14:17 AM
Actually the way regular stocks trade is boring. They often dont have corrections. Whenever there is news they have thousands of financial experts instantly calcualte the right value and put it there with massive leverage. So the chart just looks like a bunch of L shapes and daytrading sucks. Steep corrections are a crypto thing.
1466  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODL bitcoin? why and why not? on: December 07, 2017, 06:09:26 AM
Why:
1. Security - not losing your coins to a mistake, a hack, an exchange, a government, etc.
2. The safest long term plan if you truly believe bitcoin is going to $1M or whatever
3. Tax reasons

Why not:
1. You're a bear, or
2. You cant stand to temporarily be down 80%, or
3. You want to try to daytard, or
4. You dont want to have to have inactive money for a number of months or years while btc goes sideways and would rather use the cash on other trades that are going up more rapidly, or
5. You need to buy a car, house, hookers, coke, etc.

Does an early adopter really need a donation?
1468  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 07, 2017, 05:33:47 AM
It might take the exchanges screwing up again to really get the dump started.

Im still wanting to know how all the exchanges had a problem at once.
1469  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is so costly. Why would that be? on: December 07, 2017, 05:32:05 AM
We're now in FOMO. My relatives are coming to me like 'OMG OMG OMG OMG IT KEEPS GOING UP. I have to get in now I'm going to miss out people are saying its going to 40k. I cant get all my money on an exchange,  pleasssee would you sell me your coins'

14144 would make a nice historical repeating number for the top

1473  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Futures - December 10. Will it Rise or Fall? on: December 07, 2017, 03:10:11 AM
There will be endless delays with the SEC, etc. which drop the price.
1474  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is so costly. Why would that be? on: December 07, 2017, 02:52:15 AM
We havent had a single crash up here - only frothiness.
1475  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 07, 2017, 12:44:30 AM
I can't wait til a 2k or 5k or 10k sell order pops on the book and all the noobs are like wtf is that
1476  Economy / Speculation / Re: The rally will eventually end with a dip to at least $3K on: December 06, 2017, 09:37:58 PM
I never made a call at $3000.  In fact I had multiple people ask me prrsonally if they should sell and I told them not to .
1477  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why i think the CME listing Bitcoin Futures is actually a bad thing! on: December 06, 2017, 04:33:36 PM
The only reason cme futures is bad is because when the sec cancels it, btc will tank hard. But if there were never the future's tease, it wouldn't be a big deal and btc would quietly be making an uptrend past $5k.
1478  Economy / Speculation / Re: GBTC Bitcoin Investment Trust Observer on: December 06, 2017, 04:29:59 PM
I wonder if future's will make gbtc a good short snice people don't need gbtc and its ridiculous premium anymore.  I'm thinking of a play where you simultaneously long futures and short gbtc
1479  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is so costly. Why would that be? on: December 06, 2017, 04:26:14 PM
It doesn't matter how high it goes, even if it goes to $30k, it's going to correct to the same level somewhere between 2k and 5k. So higher price increase's don't increase the reward/risk, it decreases it. You have this backwarfs. No amount of increase is going to change my mind and make me want to go all in again. That's called chasing and ends catastrophically.
1480  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is so costly. Why would that be? on: December 06, 2017, 03:37:57 PM
I highly advise against the poster above. Its up 1200% in a matter of months in a full tilt bubble phase and speculating on scalping another tiny 50% or so rise is folly. Right now everyone in the world who doesnt havea clue what bitcoin is, is in just to ride the upwards momentum train. Were talking an all you can eat weak hands buffet. It would be much better to wait a couple months and get 3 times more coins than if you bought back now.
