This is a real project with backing.
1462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] 10 BTC - Custom Coin Development - ASIC Proof - CPU Mine and GPU on: March 18, 2014, 07:32:50 AM
Should also add, our team will handle all of the branding, marketing, and promotion of the coin.  We are simply looking for the devs to handle the build and release.
1463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [BOUNTY] 10 BTC - Custom Coin Development - ASIC Proof - CPU Mine and GPU on: March 18, 2014, 07:30:44 AM
We are looking to develop a custom coin and need a development team to assist with the following items.

We can negotiate price; but our budget is in the range of 8-12 BTC.

The development team would be responsible for the technical back end including:

 - ASIC resistant mining - similar to HVC/Hefty.

 - Should be GPU resistant for the initial release.

 - Wallet setup.

 - Custom wallet options including decentralized voting and other custom features.

 - Pool setup.

 - Stratum Setup

 - Test Net

 - Full beta test pre-release.

 - NEEDS TO BE TURN KEY.

In addition to the bounty/fees paid - we would be willing to include a portion of a pre-mine; should one exist.

Please msg us your capability statement; past projects; and any information on your team's technical abilities.

Include turn around time as well.

24 hour volume on mintpal still around 50BTC... someone is buying up those coins.
Coins that are not scrypt based, and so cannot be mined and dumped by multipools, have some potential.

Also, miners, traders and long-term holders are also hopefully seeing a few writings on the wall. Even "whale" traders entering with big $ into the scene got burned by dumps (e.g. Maxcoin, which isn't scrypt but was a mine&dump fest either way which I witnessed at the mcxNow trollbox) and moved money out of crypto, so hopefully the rest of us are not dumb enough to dig the hole further. Again, I hope ...

A single person is intelligent. People en masse are quite irrational and very very dumb.  Hope and wishful thinking has nothing to do with it. Fear and greed will drive the value of these coins, nothing more- nothing less.

I have tried to get the GPU miner from a few pages ago to run with an Nvidia 570 card, but it just sits there, and does nothing.
Just let it sit - compiling the kernel can take quite a long time.

I dont think the miner works with cuda cards.

HVC for sure. Coin is on friggen fire. GPU miner released just this morning. LTC hashrate is plunging. Look into it.

I'll be honest, I sold most of my coins at 50.  Even though it's at 35 now, up from 19 this AM, I wish I had held onto them Sad

Yes but why would they?  Their fees are 3.5% which may be high, but the coin is so profitable right now for everyone.

ITS HAPPENING.

You can see by the charts... last 6 hours. Hashrate is dropping for LTC.  People are jumping en mass to HVC.

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/litecoin/difficulty

HVC Hashrate has tripled in 6 hours. I hope their servers can keep up!

Miner is solid.  First release, no hangs, issues. 45 degrees, R9 280X at 6mhash each.

Price keeps going up too. At 31 now. Was at 19 before the release of the GPU miner.

People could very well see this as an awesome alternative to LTC. 1/2 the AC costs, cards run cool, no heat issues, moving into summer.

Exciting.

1476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / HVC Heavycoin - Watch it ROCKET today! GPU Miner just released!! :) on: March 17, 2014, 02:32:41 PM
Well it happened!  GPU miner is now out for HVC.

Getting 85MHash on 1gh pool with 16 280x cards.  The awesome part is they are drawing less than 1/2 the power than the cards were drawing mining LTC. And temps are at a cool 40-45 C.

Running the new CGMiner... switch was crazy easy. LTC difficulty has gotten so high.  I'm making 2x profit now at current low exchange rate. This is all great - because people will jump to HVC, which will adjust LTC difficulty back down.

HVC price already gaining mass volume on MintPal.com.  Today is going to be very VERY exciting!!!

Heres the miner:

Mining at 1GH Pool.

Please tip if you can, my HVC and LTC addresses are below!!!

Just switched over all my 280x rigs from LTC to HVC.

those of you who think this coin is dead are insane, most of the people who had cold feet already dumped and look at the size of the buy orders coming in. GPU mining is looking like the beginning for this coin not the end.

I would have to agree. It's still decentralized. Difficulty will adjust with the higher hashrate. Higher amounts of coins being mined will increase liquidity of the coin; it's apples to apples, and it's fair and even to anyone.

It's not like only a select few have the new miner.... everyone does. If anything; the price may rocket up because people who had no interest in mining CPU coins will now be jumping in.

This is ESPECIALLY so with LTC difficulty so high.

Right now, mining HVC is by far more profitable than LTC.

I have 4 rigs running 280x cards at 4 each... I'm up at around 85mhash on 1GH.

Just wait until people jump off LTC with cgminer and point to 1GH. Price will SKYROCKET.  Then after a huge rise in price it will adjust, perhaps crash back down... before stabilizing.  But there is going to be a HUGE boom today with this coin.

Just watch.  This miner was released EARLY.  Its only 10am EST.  California is still 7AM.  A lot of people arent even aware it's out yet.

I have personally sold most of my HVC (which sucks in hindsight), but I would not be suprised if we see the value multiply in the next 6-8 hours- 4x, 6x. 10x. Its possible.  LTC is becoming SOO difficult.

My miners are more profitable, drawing half power, and running at 40c.   This is awesome.
