1461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RESURRECTION] Taking Beecoin to the Hive Flying!MANDATORY Client Update! on: May 04, 2014, 10:29:20 AM

Soopy You have to react fast on this, because it dosen't look good for marketing.

I have made my point clear on their thread.

here's my reply posted there.

There are alot of changes coming with Bee , better hold it for now.
I'm the new Dev working on Bee and will update as needed.

For the moment Bee is in a transition phase to X11 with POS so I believe you can assume we are on the safe side.

1462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Potential Premine SCAM coins: RainbowCoin Quarkbar Beecoin Evercoin on: May 04, 2014, 10:24:22 AM
Hey guys.. in the wake of the Asiacoin mega-scam.  We've been doing some forensics on the code to understand the premine scam.. my full analysis is listed here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=566870.msg6535095#msg6535095

This code was also found in SHACoin, which had the exact same premine SCAM that was exposed a week earlier.

cruncher on IRC had a great suggestion to search all of github for a particular string that was associated with the obfuscating premine.

The segment of code resides in the RPC call, that seeks to intercept the amount of coin by returning a modulo version of it.

The result of that search is here: "https://github.com/search?p=1&q=amount+%25+%28MAX_TX_FEE+*+COIN&ref=cmdform&type=Code"

As you can see the string shows up in a bunch of other places (including the AsiaCoinFix repo i pushed up for the forensics exercise).

The following hits to coins were identified:
EverCoin - never heard of this
  RainbowCoin - recently launched
  BeeCoin
  QuarkBar - fixed code
  ShaCoin - known premine scam
  ccc/qbcc - ??

Now it may be the case that some devs accidentally forked a code repo unknowingly.. or the coin has already found the issue and patched it, or maybe this isn't even the original location of the code..

I didn't check the actual blockchain itself to verify.  This is just from a github search using the "obfuscation code"..  But if this code is deployed even without knowing.. it really ought to be patched up anyhow.

Up to everyone's own due diligence to check their own coins now..

Bee coin isn't scam there is new dev and he's changing algo from POW to X11 POS, you should read befor telling shits.

There are alot of changes coming with Bee , better hold it for now.

I don't mean to be a debbie downer, but it's starting to feel like BEE really is dead now. I mean absolutely nothing has been done, not a damn thing; all the while soopy seems to be working on UNO more actively than BEE.

Don't take me wrong, he has every right to work on any coin of his choosing and owes no one here a damn thing, but it does seem to me like we've been abandoned twice now.

Anyone else feeling similar here?

 Huh

No one should feel Bee is abandonded mate we were testing the new wallet due to the seriousness of the situation as we are working with a live blockchain and nothing , I mean nothing can or should go wrong.

Have faith and patience , there are alot of great things coming for Bee.

John and Cryptohunter have been updated they will let you all know.

1464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Unobtanium Info & Discussion on: May 03, 2014, 10:09:48 PM

This problem highlights and illustrates the point that I was trying to make in the previous post: 1 developer cannot handle all of the problems that come up with a coin, no matter how good they are. Being anonymous makes it too tempting to quit to escape the pressure. I think that we need at least 3 full-time developers who are fully committed to UNO. 5 would be ideal. At least 2 of the 5 should be non-anonymous to give people confidence that UNO will be supported, and will not disappear like Noirbits did.

I personally think that we are just spinning our wheels until we solve this fundamental problem. I think that our main focus should be on:
  • Having a fully committed core development team [NOT DONE].
  • Having a good-looking website [DONE] that is constantly maintained up-to-date [NOT DONE], making the latest source AND binary versions of the UNO client available for download: Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android [NOT DONE].
  • Have a good-looking block explorer [DONE] that is reliable, and kept running properly 99.999% of the time [NOT DONE].
+1

a dev-team of at least 3 would be good at this point. There is a lot of work to be done.

As you know my friend I'm very committed to this and this statement comes out as if you do not have faith in my work and in direction tone of not appreciating my time and effort I'm putting towards UNO and all what I have and will be doing and devalues everything I've committed towards UNO. Sad

This is a way to tell me not to further engage in UNO developments?
Please elaborate.

~SoopY~

Soopy, don't feel discouraged. You are doing FANTASTIC work! We are just going through the natural growing pains that any coin goes through. Just take what I have said, and think about it.

Satoshi was anonymous , he built Bitcoin look where it is now , we are still unable to locate where his or who he is. Smiley

It's not much about the Dev's identity it's his dedication towards the coin , how much he puts into it and care for it , rest is propelled by the community behind it trusting and seeing his dedication.
I know quite a lot of people kicking themselves for not being interested in Bitcoin when Satoshi showed it to the world , I believe they are kicking themselves for not trusting his work just because he was anonymous. Smiley Trust comes from what you see , not what you expect to see.

As per your suggestions , I'm ready to step aside and I have informed FallingKnife will post the final updates before doing so.

Bonus blocks are coming hang on tight.

1469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RESURRECTION] Taking Astrocoin to the Moon,KGW Implemented + HARD FORK AT 17520 on: May 03, 2014, 03:47:54 PM
Hi soopy452000,

maybe you can add your Astrocoin donation adress to the box "Donations Received So Far"?
I will also donate 5 astros (thats more then 5% of my stack) and i think its a good sign for
others when they are seeing, ok the dev received (hopefully more and more) and holds astros,
so he is interested in the progress of this coin, i think this can give some trust.

and thanks for your work

regards

Surely my friend thank you very much I will look into the address and post as I've received.

Also the update is ready and will be posted upon a few tests in the coming days before Wednesday next week.

Regards,

Hello All,

I'm just finishing touchups on GRW with the new perfect logo , coin control , automatic check-pointing and I will also look into the new features suggested by unick.

I think I should be able to post up a new wallet update early coming week.

My GRW wallet is on the main post and if you would like to send any donations in appreciation of my work and development , it would be very kind of you and I would be very much grateful of the same.

Growthcoin: GbcyC8f5vUyh7tfxyCFYnDnW7LiLikR5EE

Thank you very much once again.

~SoopY~

PS: We should also be grateful and thankful to neilh for doing everything to get us on allcoin.com.

Thank you very much my friend , your contribution and effort towards making growthcoin a success is much appreciated.

I've tested the mac wallet on 3 different Macs and they all work perfect. Smiley But I will look into try to close recreate the issue on the Macs to see why this is creating issues.

I will also update the source code to fix the time wrap issue and will post a fix after discussions with FallingKnife on a suitable time of release.

This should increase the value of UNO even more. Smiley

This's a self moderated scam.

I couldn't help notice but 50 out of 100 posts you make 49 of them has the word scam either this is scam or that is scam what not , make up your mind mate.
It is self moderated to keep discussions on the topic and assholes , dickheads and shit off the thread , simple as that. Smiley
The password to that account is shared with 3 top people working for BeeCoin and there is transparency in the actions taken by anyone.

Please understand , just because anyone has a Bitcointalk account they are not privileged to flame or troll a community or it's users and the developers.

TimeWarp Attack can be fixed and I believe I have a fix to that and can be implemented right away , however there will be hardfork where everyone will need to update their Clients at a certain block number to secure the network and the issue to resolved.

Are we good with this?

This issue was brought to my attention by FallingKnife as well as voluntarist500  and all credits should go to them. Smiley

i have 70k in cryptorush

any idea if they gone for good?

Cant say much about Cryptorush at the moment though they are planning to come back from the insolvency and ofcourse they gotta pay everyone.

I believe BEEcoin was not affected from the drama.
