got btc after 24 hrs as promised
OP is reliable

Sure you did  Roll Eyes
But there's no doubt you'll be the only one sending first to OP without an escrow. Nobody will follow your "lead", so that you know.

Well im open to anything

I have responded to mesages and collateral not an issue have altcoins and physical stuff i.e lcd tv xbox one various that can be shipped or sold.

Time is running out

If you do have enough collateral in a stable altcoin let me know what it is. I may help but I'm not taking physical items. But seriously it would be better to just post the details here. Why do you want to handle it via PM?
1464  Other / Meta / Re: PGP key on: April 14, 2015, 12:34:45 PM
No it's not asking to decrypt or sign anything, they're only saying this:

Code:
# easy! just run this
keybase push

"Command line" is for Keybase-cli. So I guess you will have to go for next option.

The next one is the same, they're showing a script which I have to enter into a terminal and I tried but nothing happens.

I don't understand why do they make it so difficult, why can't they just ask me to decrypt a file or sign a message to prove that I own that public key.

I think they don't want users who only upload their public keys but want users to upload their private keys too, which I won't do.

Is there an alternate for it, I already uploaded my public key to MIT public server and ubuntu too, so that'll work for now, I think.

In order for the command line to work you need to install some dependencies. As stated between parenthesis you need: Bash+GPG+curl

Do you have Linux, Windows or Mac? This is much easier to install on Linux.
1465  Other / Archival / Re: quickseller on: April 14, 2015, 12:29:25 PM
NO NO NO! You obviously didn't bother to read the most important parts here. I asked him to verify that the account fits the seller's description. Not obtain it and change the password...

And even sent him a message saying this can be done just by looking at a link of the profile.

But just the fact that he changed the terms is unexceptable for an escrow. If he thaught my terms were not good enough it would be better to not accept the deal and cause no harm.

The problem is the seller could lie (i.e. give a fake profile link that he doesn't own) if the escrow just gets a link and to the actual credentials. You as the buyer could have accepted the risk but that wouldn't make much sense. May I ask why you didn't want to fund the escrow first? It was impossible for the seller to get your coins if the account wasn't real, you would have safely received the BTC back.

Anyhow you didn't want the escrow to change the account's password but he did and he sent you this PM right?
Account details have been verified.

2012 account with both 135+ posts and activity.

You wanted to confirm the details of the account and you got it. And not only that but also the fact the account was really owned by the seller (which wouldn't have been possible just looking at the profile as you asked).

Can you explain why you refused to continue the deal at this point?

Personally I do think OP's behavior was shady but I also think there was a lack of communication. I would have refused escrowing if OP continues asking for confirmation of the account before funding the escrow (which can't be confirmed without changing the password) and I would have explained the seller the risk. Possibly I would have added a neutral feedback, but I consider a negative one to be too harsh.
1466  Economy / Economics / Re: destroying bitcoins on: April 14, 2015, 04:33:03 AM
I notice the OP has replaced his own address with the known Bitcoin Eater address now:
https://blockchain.info/address/1BitcoinEaterAddressDontSendf59kuE

Probably he wasn't aware earlier that there was already a Bitcoin Eater address.

So it is no more a scam

1467  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: josef2000 | LIAR | TROLL | BAN THIS CREEP on: April 14, 2015, 03:57:03 AM
Normally a very trusted escrow from this forum is far more trustable than a website with automated escrow. But of course common sense must be used. Several trusted members here are kind enough to escrow for free.
What escrow was Josef suggesting? Because he wanted to use an escrow from this forum did you suggest to him another trusted user who does charge an escrow fee?

1469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VPS on: April 13, 2015, 10:48:20 PM
hello,

i am desperately trying to create my own coin.
my friend who FORTUNATELY understand linux says he might be able to do it,

we will need a VPS??

ok Virtual Private Server. yes i know the definition.

but can anyone help me understand WHY it is needed? and WHERE i can get it?

does it require some specifications?

lets take the easiest example, i want to create a SHA-256 coin.
what would be the requirements?

if i am in the wrong section, kindly move the thread please.

thank you to respond.

If your friend understands Linux and says he can do it why don't you ask it about that too?
Yes, at least one VPS (or a dedicated server) is required to create a full node for your coin. Shared hosting doesn't allow you to install SW including the daemon.

I'd recommend you to grab a 2GB VPS, it may work with 1GB, nothing less than that.
There are several places where you can get a VPS like DigitalOcean, BitVPS, CoinsHost among others. Several users here in the forum offer it too.

If you're not close to being an expert on crypto-currencies and Linux I guess it would be difficult for you to offer a brand new feature in your coin. In that case I recommend you to reconsider creating a new coin. Your trust doesn't help either.

1470  Other / Meta / Re: PGP key on: April 13, 2015, 10:37:55 PM
Importing a public key for verification purposes sounds like a good idea. However, I asked someone for an invitation and then sent him another message telling I don't want it as I thought it was unsafe. (stupid me lol)

So if he doesn't reads the second message and sends me an invite than I won't need it, but if he does, then I'll ask you, would you save one for me? I would like to import my public key there.

Sure just PM me your email if you do need it.
1471  Other / Meta / Re: PGP key on: April 13, 2015, 10:21:18 PM
I finally made one  Smiley. Now I don't know what should I do with it.

I saw some threads where people had their public key posted but I can't find the sub-forum for it now.

Any advices as to where should I post it?

People (myself included) normally post it on Reputation (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=129.0) and ask one or 2 trusted members to quote it so if a hacker takes your account editing your post wouldn't be enough.
You can use that same thread to ask people to post after dealing with you. Otherwise you can lock it and move it to Archival afterwards.
P.S.: If you want a keybase.io invite just let me know.

I posted it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.msg11079102#msg11079102

I saw some of the threads in the reputation board being moved for archival which is why I didn't post it there.

And I also read that it is not safe to import your private keys to keybase.io? So I don't know whether I should do it or not.

As I said locked thread get moved to Archival, but I consider it's OK to have your key there in Archival. It's easy to find and doesn't bother anyone. But where you posted is fine too as long it's quoted by someone else.
Personally I have only my public key on keybase. That way anyone can encrypt messages for me or verify my signed messages. I use a local app in my computer to handle my private key to sign and decrypt.

1474  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buy BTC here for Skrill/PayPal [Exchange thread] on: April 13, 2015, 07:04:43 PM
Still selling BTC. PM.

Because you ignored my question I'm assuming you're not working with a trusted escrow of this forum. In that case I recommend everyone to avoid dealing with OP.

Of course you are mad about this topic, since by looking at your trust, you are on of these ponzi owners Wink

Exactly. It's fun to see which users don't like this post:

1477  Other / Meta / Re: TRUST on: April 13, 2015, 04:25:29 AM
how someone get into default trust list? what is that depth 1,2,3,4?

This has been discussed on other threads. Basically:
- Theymos (through the account DefaultTrust) chooses people he trusts and adds them to the trust list. With default settings DefaultTrust is depth 0 and those users are on depth 1.
- Again, with default settings, whoever is added by those users become depth 2. Depth 0, 1 and 2 are trusted by default.
- Whoever is added by someone on depth 2 are on level 3 and so on.

When I say added to the list by an user I mean he adds him here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust
1478  Economy / Gambling / Re: [WTS] Betting Trick 99% win Only for this week, only 1 or 5 people available on: April 13, 2015, 12:40:30 AM
Feel free to lock this thread "lower left" before you get a negative rep from trusted member in here.

So you're from INDONESIA huh! now that explains everything Tongue

It is normal they need money, as all we need money but he can't scam us because he thinks we are stupid. OP find a job Wink.

There's 99% chance OP is just trying to get money with a non-working method (i.e. trying to scam). But stop generalizing things for a country, seriously.
1479  Economy / Gambling / Re: [WTS] Betting Trick 99% win Only for this week, only 1 or 5 people available on: April 12, 2015, 11:07:42 PM
Oh dear Let me get this straight you want over $2250+ for a so called gambling trick/cheat? Or total $12+k!  Cheesy

How can you be short of money when you have this awesome trick that you feel is worth $12k should you not be able to make that in a week or at least a nice part of that!

This stinks of a scam in the making and not a very good one.

And something tells me OP is not willing to have the funds held by an escrow until the buyer (or escrow) confirms the method really works  Roll Eyes
Try harder next time OP.
1480  Economy / Lending / Re: Need a Quick Loan on: April 12, 2015, 09:55:46 PM
I can loan this to you for an interest of 0.01. i.e. repayment of 0.075.
